This book (or what I thought was a book) was only 1 page with a short poem on it! for $3.99 it was a rip-off. Not happy with this purchase. People should be aware of what they are getting. I expected at least a 5 to 10 page story book...not happy that I wasted my money and because it is a digital purchase there is no returns. Product descriptions should be more specific.

Bought this book as a gift but now, will have to look for something else...very disappointed. It cost $6.28...what a rip off! The book is very small. It's only a couple of pages, with a few sentences on every other page. Not even the few little words can save this book. To quote, "You're with me when I am afraid" ~ What?? When God is with you, you never have to be afraid...God is your strength and your comfort...that's the message I want my grandchildren to learn. Actually had high hopes for this book...think I was fooled by the author's name. But, that's what I get for buying a book online and not being able to look at it first...lesson learned.

I downloaded the eBook for Kindle from the Booksneeze site onto my home desktop to share with Ms. E. This is the first eBook I have read to her, and I wasn't sure how it was going to go over. I had wanted to download it onto my iPhone directly, but... I couldn't figure out how to. I thought I could work some techno magic on the iPhone, but I am certainly not the most adept apparently, LOL!

As with most anything for toddlers, Ms. E finds everything on my cell phone much more interesting than her own toys. Ms. E decided that reading `her' book on the computer was just as fascinating as if it was on the iPhone. Yay! This Little Hermie book is fantastic for a young toddler. It has beautiful illustrations with a fun prayer that only a buggy friend could pray.

Ms. E loves pointing to the different bugs in these beautiful illustrations, and is enchanted by each new picture as we `turn' the pages. She understands it is a prayer {not that she truly understands prayers at this time}. I have to admit that I thought Little Hermie was a girl bug since I had never read a Little Hermie book. Little Hermie is definitely a boy from the first sentence, LOL! {PS ~ it took me a couple episodes of Blue's Clues to figure out Blue was a girl dog. Shush... don't tell anyone.}

After reading this lovely book as an eBook I am going to purchased the hardcover book to share with Ms. E and Ms. V. I think this book would be a delightful addition to any child's library, and look forward personally to adding more Little Hermie books to our library.

Sometimes we all need a little reassurance of our place in this world. Even our little ones need to be reminded that God loves them all the time. Little Hermie is back to provide a prayer of reassurance. Another great bedtime story for toddler, Thank You God For Loving Me by Max Lucado is a prayer from Hermie. A simple pray with some big meaning!

In the same style as Thank You God For Blessing Me, this installment has Hermie reminding your little one that God is with them all the time and that He loves them in all situations. What a great book to provide reassurance to tots as well as continue the theme of teaching them to pray. Reading all these wonderful stories and simple prayers to your children will make prayer time second nature to them! Hermie has become a familiar trusted character for teaching children that even the smallest among us has God's attention!

Another great Christmas present or stocking stuffer! Thank You God For Blessing Me is geared towards the toddler crowd. They will "oooh and ahhh" over the cute illustrations and the text is short enough to keep their attention!

Little Hermie and the baby bug garden friends teach little ones about God's love for them.
God loves all of His creatures. Little Hermie explores all of the ways God loves him and his friends in this sweet board book with glitter on the cover.
With over 5.5 million brands units sold, the new Little Hermie books open the wonderful world of the Hermie & Friends garden to an entirely new audience.
My Review:

After reading Thank You God, for Blessing Me, and the positive response from my 3 year old, I was so excited to get a review copy of Thank You God, for Loving Me.

The pictures, illustrated by Frank Endersby, were so cute and added such a nice element to the books for young children.

The story itself was very straight forward for preschoolers to understand. I really liked the rhyming of the story...which was very well done. It is an important element in children's books to help with literacy...with the added bonus of the theme that God loves us! Each page gave us new examples of how God loves us.

I'm hoping to add more Hermie books to our library soon for my three year old and newborn twins.

The book is rated from Baby - Preschool which is very accurate.

Thank you, God, for loving me by Max Lucado is a charming board book about Little Hermie the Caterpillar.

The first page shows Hermie kneeling to pray beneath an autumn tree bowing his head and saying, "Thank you, God, for loving me". Hermie is so grateful that he goes on to thank God for watching over him and taking good care of him through each and every day. What a powerful message to show children how to communicate with God and know that God really cares for them. Even when they are afraid of the dark or have a gloomy day, God will always be there.

The rhyming text is simple to read and the illustrations are colorful and captivating.

I highly recommend this book.

Thank You God for Loving Me.....by Max Lucado
This is another little book about little Hermie is so beautiful and adorable. It is just right for a small child with the thick board pages and story just long enough to keep their attention. This little Caterpillar is just the cutest little creature and is thankful that God loves him, even though he is a little caterpillar.
Max Lucado has such a wonderful way with words for adults as well as children. I love the way he uses little creatures to teach children about God. My 2 year niece loves this book as well as she loves the other Hermie books I've gotten her. She not only loves for me to read it to her she loves to read it herself looking at the awesome illustrations and telling her own story about Hermie.
You won't go wrong getting this book for your little one. Teach them to choose books about God while they are still young. And what a wonderful way to interact with your children, by reading to them!

My children just adore Hermie, Wormie, and their garden friends.

These little bugs teach children important life lessons through their actions quite well.
Whether it book through book or video, the Hermie series by Max Lucado is a charming little way to teach your children about God and what He desires from them.

Thank You God, For Loving Me is yet another sweet little board book for children from the new line of Little Hermie books.
Little Hermie and the baby bugs, all before they grow up as we know them, are hear to show your littles just how much God loves them.

Through simple rhyme and captivating pictures, it was a perfect way to demonstrate to my smaller children the different ways God showers us with His love and blessings daily.

As Hermie kneels to pray, and tell God "thank you", we are all reminded how, no matter what your situation may seem like, God is always there with His never ending love.
As Hermie says: He's there when we are asleep, and when we are awake. When we are playing, or when we are afraid. When we are sad, or when we need Him to show us the way.

God loves us.

I really am a kid at heart - I love quality books and movies for kids. The Hermie shows have been some of my favorites for a while. They teach great lessons in such a fun way. There is quite a line of products for Hermie, but these recent books published by Tommy Nelson have been just a little different. I love the illustrations in this book. They are more artistic than the usual cartoon pictures that are in most children's books today. I think the watercolor style drawings are a great style for a book for young children. The pictures are so pleasant and would be especially enjoyable for a young one to look at.

I also love the content! The first page in the book has a picture of Hermie talking to God - what a great way to start. Prayer has been one of the best things about the Hermie series - in each episode the character talks to God about his or her problems and God talks to them. In this book, Hermie is thanking God for taking such good care of him and for loving him. Such a good reminder of God's love for children.

Little Hermie, a baby caterpillar who grows up to headline numerous other children's books from Max Lucado in the Hermie & Friends series, now is featured in a new line of Little Hermie books. In Thank You, God, for loving me, Little Hermie kneels to pray and thank God for the many ways in which God demonstrates his love.

It is interesting how simple children's stories can contain such profound truths. As I was reading this book to my own toddler, I found myself reminded about God's provision for our needs or how He is with us at all times, even when we are afraid. These are such important truths for children to hide in their hearts, and this Little Hermie book does a great job of capturing a toddlers attention with the bright pictures, while instilling within them an important message of God's love. My son and I quite enjoyed the simple rhyming of this book.

I highly recommend this book and give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I received Max Lucado's "Thank you, God, for Loving Me" from the booksneeze program to review. The description actually said that it was a board book with glitter accents on the cover, but there was no glitter on mine. As far as board books go, the cover is the padded hardcover type, but the inside pages weren't the sturdiest. This is probably more of an issue for my 11 month old than it would be for an older child, but I do wish the pages had been a bit thicker. This is a short book, 10 pages total, but I did like hte content. Sort of a sing-songy poem that is easy to read & listen to.

I get that this is part of the Hermie series, but I, and my oldest child, found it a bit strange that the caterpillar is talking and praying to God about guiding him when he makes choices, but since we weren't the target market, and the baby liked the book, that's somewhat irrelevant. Overall I liked the book fine, but it's not something I would go out & purchase for my home library or highly recommend to others. Had the subject been a little boy instead of a caterpillar I might have.

Thank You, God, for Loving Me by Max Lucado follows the same pattern of short, cute rhymes paired with appealing watercolor pictures that Hermie books are known for. As fall arrives, Hermie remembers how God loves him by being near at night, watching Hermie, and guiding between what's right and wrong. On one page, Hermie curls up at night with a Bible and the words say, "You're with me when I am afraid". It shows on a basic level how the Bible can comfort us.

The target audience of infants and young toddlers will not understand the message, but they will enjoy the sing-song sound of the words. The soft, durable cover and the beautiful nature pictures with irresistibly cute bugs are some of my favorite parts of the book. I only wish the book was longer. Even though children have short attention spans, most board books are longer than 10 pages.

From the publisher: Little Hermie and the baby bug garden friends teach little ones about God's love for them.
God loves all of His creatures. Little Hermie explores all of the ways God loves him and his friends in this sweet board book with glitter on the cover.

I had my husband read through the book and then he asked me, "What did you like about it?" I told him that I liked how siimple and sweet the book was. It is for younger children, but I liked the simplicity of it. What I really liked about this book and the other one about Hermie that I reviewed was that I feel that this is teaching children to look at their lives and see how God loves them. God loves us in so many ways that we just take for granted. I like that Max Lucado took the view point of Hermie thanking God for loving him in all different kinds of ways.

I would definitely recommend this book.

Book Review: Thank you, God, for Loving me

"I received this book for free from Booksneeze.com for an honest review".

Book Review:

My great big God loves me!

This charming board book with sweet, rhyming text helps preschoolers know how much God loves them. God's love is a big concept, but Little Hermie makes it easy for kids to understand by showing the many ways God expresses His love as He cares for us each day.

My Review:

This was the most adorably written book!! It is just the right size that you can keep your child's attention with very colorful pictures. The rhyming passages make it a fun book to read as well! This book truly explains to a little one how much God loves them at all times; day and night, rest and play, big and small. Nestled in a hardback book, you can expect this favorite to stay nice for quite some time :)

How can anyone not love Hermie and Friends?

My kids enjoyed watching Hermie movies growing up and I enjoyed watching, right along with them too. Very loveable stories that are always reminding kids of just how unique we all are. God made each one of us different and each one of us special.

The Little Hermie "Read 2 Me" books are ideal for ages 1-5 and are the perfect size for little hands to hold. All of the books have sweet pictures that will keep kids flipping pages to read more.

So glad that another wave of kids will get to know Hermie, his friends, and all the wonderful values in these stories.

Thomas Nelson sent me the above books for review purposes. It will allow me to keep the books. I have no other connection to and have received no other compensation from Thomas Nelson.

Oh yes, you've read this right....Max Lucado also does children's books.

This book is only one in his "Hermie" series. Hermie is a common caterpillar. He was introduced by Max many years ago. This year he has a new look and an addition to the previous series for children ages 4 - 6.

These board books are new in the Hermie series featuring Hermie as a 'baby' caterpillar. Geared for children ages 2 - 4. They teach biblical lessons in a fun way. Teaching children that God loves and God listens, even to them as children.

Done in beautiful color and written in a pleasing, rhyming format. You will enjoy curling up with your little one and sharing God's love as shown to them through 'lil Hermie'

This book by Max Lucado is so sweet and gentle. I love how it focuses on instilling a heart of gratitude into our little ones. I found that in reading the rhyming words, it reminded me of things I often take for granted and made me truly say "Thank You God For Loving Me!" I'm a huge fan of simple books that resonate so deeply into our kids. This book does just that. The illustrations are fun and very colorful and fit very well with the story. I would say that this book would be a great fit for boys or girls ages 4 and under. My 3 year old son begs me to read it again and again. Even my older children like the book since they are familiar with the Hermie movies. I love this book and the only negative thing I could think of would be it's length. It is a perfect before-bedtime book, but I would just like it to go on and on... it's that sweet!

Thank you God, for loving me is yet another cute Hermie book in which Hermie the caterpillar explores the ways God loves him. This rhyming book is short and cute illustrating God's love. It also makes it possible to communicate to your child that they are loved deeply by our creator.

My daughter loves this Hermie book along with the other one that I reviewed. She likes to keep them together and just about had a heart attack this evening when we couldn't find the other book! This book also tagged along in her backpack at a recent doctor visit where she proudly said to the doctor, "Look at my Hermie book!"

The illustrations are a bit older, but for my 3 year old that doesn't matter whatsoever!

I received this book from Booksneeze.com in return for my honest opinion. The author, Max Lucado, never fails to inspire me as an adult so I wanted to see what he can do for little ones. For all of its six pages, it was nicely illustrated and had wonderfully encouraging words for 1-4 year olds. The middle pages are a bit skimpy so I wouldn't give it to a baby. Perhaps an older child would get the significance of sleeping with a bible but maybe that detail was for the older child or adult who is reading it to the little one. I loved the little critters. They went so well with the words and will introduce children to the concept of seeing God thru His creation. There was no glitter on or in the book as described. This book would make a lovely birthday or Christmas gift.

I am always delighted to read children's books by Max Lucado. The message in his stories are always centered on the Lord. At our house we are a fan of Hermie and this book is a little Hermie read to me book called, "Thank You, God for Loving Me".

This children's book is a very short hard cover board book that shares that God is always with us. The caterpillar explains how to bow you head and what to do when you are afraid. The illustrations are brightly colored and eye catching. The text is very easy to understand and preschool children will love it. I know my little ones did!

I was so glad to received this book in the mail today. I had read and reviewed Thank You God For Blessing Me also by Max Lucado, but only in ebook form. Both books have a 4-line rhyme on each page with lovely illustrations of Hermie, a child-like caterpillar.

I truly enjoyed this little board book and am excited to share it with my 2 year old nephew. Like most toddlers, he is hard on books and has a short attention span. So this book will be great for him when he comes to visit. I look forward to sharing this delightful little book with him.

Max Lucado's Hermie books are becoming a favorite in my house! Lucado's "Thank you, God, for Loving me" is another great addition to our collection! Filled with vibrant illustrations and rhymes this book holds toddlers' attention well! Hermie prays to God thanking God for the blessings in his life and that God loves him. This is a cute, short story illustrating the importance of thanking God for everything that He gives us. My children, 3 and 1 years old, love this collection! The board book shape and build is perfect for them to hold onto and "read" themselves as well!

This book came shortly after Christmas, so it made for a good opportunity to read it together with my 6-month old son, focusing on the theme of thanksgiving and gratitude. The poetic rhymes are brilliant, easy to read and understand, yet oozing with biblical truths, suitabe for young readers. It follows along the Little Hermie series, you can see references, pictures of him and his creature friends. It covers various areas, like food, friends, creation. Though the book is colourful, and made from good material (suitable for spills and drops), we had wished for more vibrant, bright colors (tended to be a little drap, faint pastels), and more child-friendly e.g. BPA-free or not made in China. All in all, thanks for a nice little gift to review. Hope to see more Little Hermie books for review.

This is a sweet little story, perfectly appropriate for any child who can sit and follow through a book! Through the prayer of Little Hermie, it presents a model to teach children how to pray being thankful for what God has given us! I like that it focuses on God's blessings for us: food, shelter, friends and family etc (as opposed to asking for things we want or need). It is simple and the illustrations are sweet. A perfect before bed book to help bring your child's thoughts to Christ and His many blessings for us!

What It's About:

The title says it all for this cute little board book. It is a little prayer from Hermie the caterpillar thanking God for all the ways that He loves us.

What I Think:

I love this book! First the illustrations are very cute & simple & are the perfect accompaniment to the words. Second the prayer itself is beautifully simple for children to understand & at the same time very meaningful. The sweet rhymes along with the beautiful illustrations make it easy to understand that God cares for us all day everyday. One thing that I really like is that there are not too many words on a page. This may not be a big deal for others but my toddler is only interested in staying on one page for so long right now so being able to read all the words before she turns the page is a nice change for me! I would definitely recommend this book for any little one!!

The Legal Stuff:

This is a super cute book for small children. It's very short, but sweet and little kids would love it and realize God loves them too! I love the cute little caterpillar and the artwork. I think that this book may have been better suited to a collection of short read-to-me stories, but all in all, I think it'd be a special gift to a toddler that loves to be read to.

Thank You God for Blessing Me" written by Max Lucado is a children's board book. It is written in lyrical rhythmic lines telling a story that teaches toddlers, ages two to five, about thanking God for all He has given us as well as to doing the best they can to be kind and obey.

There is a clear message in this prayer and easy to comprehend for this age group. The illustrations are colorful and Little Hermie, though a plain caterpillar, his eyes seem to sparkle. It's soft, sweet illustrations really catch your child's eye. I being the mother to a 3 and 4 year old had the perfect test demographic. And I was asked no less than three times, "Can we read it again?" and "Just one more time?"

I think this is an awesome story. It tells how Little Hermie the Caterpillar shows his Faith and Gratitude to God by saying his prayers everynight! I love the colorfulness and the pictures bring life to the page as well. I love the way the author, Max Lucado captures the story in such a way that all little children can understand. I give this book 5 plus stars and look forward to reading the next one. I read this book to my children at night and my 7 year old asked to read it as well. His reply was " I love this book!" Thanks for writing such an awesome story!
