Ho provides a simple and direct style of writing to introduce the reader to Chase Ryder, a teen aged adventurer who teams up with a genetically modified dog to defy the forces the created the dog for evil purposes. While there is violence and treachery, the book is suitable for all ages and definitely for teens and tweens. While there are a few twists and surprises along the way, the plot is very straightforward.

Absolutely brilliant! I got the preview in a giveaway and had to have the whole book. The early version of the book had editing errors but these have now been corrected so update your version to fully enjoy the book as the story is just to good to miss. Can dogs be given higher intelligence? The characters are great, the storyline consuming and the dog Bandit is terrific. Highly recommended

Recommended for characterization and plot, but writing isn't the greatest. Maybe the author was writing down because it's a YA novel. Parts of the book almost made me cry, but that could be because my own dog died not too long ago. Writer shows great empathy for street kids.

My friend let me borrow this book on a whim &I'm so grateful he did!!! This book is so well thought out. I absolutely love how everything stitched together throughout the book. Plus the ending didn't leave me hanging but definitely left me wanting more.

This is not the type of story I would have normally read, but I gave it a try. I was very pleasantly surprised at how well it kept me interested. Very well written, entertaining characters. Just enough character background to make the story flow without overwhelming the story line.

This book would have been better without Chase. I know that's a rough thing to say, considering she's the main character and the basis of the series, but she's obnoxious, and she does dumb things. Unfortunately, the dumb things pay off, so her character is unlikely to change, making it unlikely that I will read the sequel. One thing I will give the author: she did something that is rare in YA these days; she ended a series book without a cliffhanger. This could easily be a standalone. That tells me she is more invested in satisfying fans than in making money off of them, which is admirable.

The cover attracted me to this book, and it turned out to be a great read. I wanted to give it five stars but there were some annoying proofing issues that seemed to increase towards the end of the book.
Nevertheless, it's one of the best I've read in a while. Well lets face it, anything that features a dog as the hero has got to be good.
Chase, the young heroin has run away from home and is trying to survive living on the streets. She finds a stray dog, also a runaway. They bond and she names him Bandit. He turns out to be spookily intelligent, to the point of being able to communicate.
They are attacked in an alley and Bandit is seriously hurt. Chase manages to find a vet.
Sully does his best for the dog and while waiting for him to recover does a little checking, Which turns out to be a big mistake, as shortly after well armed men turn up looking for the dog. And so begins a fast moving adventure as Sully and Chase try to evade the violent men seeking to grab Bandit.
This is a long book, but as the chapters were short, and the story quite riveting, I didn't really notice.
Apart from the odd proofing issue, this is a very well written book, with great characters, especially Bandit.
If you enjoy a fast paced, exciting read, then you'll like 'Wanted.'
