I love this book! The pictures are a lot of fun. Just make sure to put a couple sheets of blank white paper behind the one you are coloring so you dont get the print from the picture on the back on the next picture.

Although I love the artwork, the quality of the book itself is disappointing. I’ve only been coloring in it for a week or so, and pages are already falling out. Too frustrating to continue coloring this book.

This is my second time buying this book. I love it. I only had budget friendly pencils when I bought the first copy and now I have prismas and was wanting to see if I could get pictures to look more as I see them in my mind.
An Epic Fantasy of Dragons (The Draykon Series Book 1) :: and Broken Beasts (Xoe Meyers Young Adult Fantasy/Horror Series Book 0) :: and Retribution - Dragonlands - Books 1 :: Cursed: (Cursed Magic Series, Book One) :: Mage Slave (The Enslaved Chronicles Book 1)

The illustrations in this book set it apart from all other coloring books. They're beautiful, detailed, and imaginative. One page will keep you occupied for hours! It's also great if you love dragons.

LOVE these pictures! I own a few of his other books and this may be my favorite yet!!! I love the paper quality as well. I LOVE that it has a sewn binding so it's safe to open the book flat, even if it does require a bit of effort. I am one happy colorer!

I love the work of Kerby Rosanes and know he is a very talented artist, but this book, in my opinion, exceeds the first two books that he put out. Not only is the paper really thick in this book, so it can handle most (NON) alcohol based markers without a lot of bleed through, but the artwork itself is fantastic. The detail in this book is truly something to be amazed at. His approach to myth and fantasy is original, unique and beautiful and this book combines all of his many talents.
There are a lot of full page illustrations in this book, some much more complex than others, so if you like to color intricate details, this book will keep you busy for ages. The pages are not perforated and some of the images disappear into the center of the binding, but most of them are not too bad in that regard. The pages are double sided, but the good paper helps make up for that. This is a truly incredible book and would make any colourist happy. Recommended to all.

The artwork is lovely. I'll say off the bat that if you're looking for detailed, gorgeous drawings, this is the book for you. However, if you're thinking about colouring these pictures and giving them as gifts or hanging as artwork on your walls, forget about that. The drawings aren't on separate pages, some are spread out over two pages (and those that are you're missing part because of the spine of the book) and that's a serious drawback for me. If I had realized that the pages weren't separate, I probably would not have bought this book.

The artwork is great but the quality of the paper makes it hard to color and the book is hard to hold open to color. The only way to color the pictures without getting frustrated would be to copy the pictures. This is going to be a coffee table book and not one I can actually color.

I believe that the manufacturer screwed up. I have 6 pages that repeat themselves and 6 pages missing so that is alot of missing art pages. I'm just now getting to them and it is frustrating because they are good pictures.

Very cool! The artwork is so amazing, you'll find things while coloring that you didnt realize were there. It is kind of a bummer that some of them go across 2 pages and you have to try to press the book flat to color the left side, but I think I saw a spiral notebook version, maybe? But I wanted this because it will stay together better and its easier to put in a bag (I hate trying to get out a spiral book in and out of a packed bag!)

Gorgeous and fascinating. I really liked the variety of creatures he picked, from dragons to fairies. All the pages are detailed, but there are some with more whitespace if you want additional room for shading. The smaller drawings fit into the theme of the bigger drawings.
I pre-ordered two copies of this the day it became available: one for me to play with, and one master copy so I can always look at the original artwork. I am not disappointed.
Also, this book has no "fill in the rest of the page with your own drawings" nonsense. (I have my own sketchbook for that.)

Great art! My two disappointments are that these pages run back to back; hence, if you color with super fine sharpie markers, it bleeds through ruining the art outline on the other side of the page. So the art should only be on one side to allow for bleed through.
Also, some of these images are two pagers... they run side by side (left to right) So if you want to pull them out and hang one up, you will have to cut them or tear them out and then tape together. It would be better if a two page art spread would start in the right hand side and the rest of the art would fold out towards the right. This way, you might have a seam running center but you would not have to cut and then tape the back together.
Great images though!

The designs are awesome. But the one bad thing about this company's books, the designs are printed on both sides of the paper. BAD, BAD,
idea. I will say that the paper they use is very thick, but for us right handed people its impossible to color on the left side. I have to color the left side upside down. I'm not happy that I can only color 1\2 the book due to the markers seaping thru the other side. Yes if you use colored pencils there's no problems but I use markers and it come right thru the paper.

I love to color and make crafts what I like about these are they're a challenge with so much to look at. Plus hidden items to look for as well. I do wish this one was just a little more adult, some of the minions so to speak are too visable. Still having fun though.

I love the pictures in this book. However, I don't like having a spiral binding running through my art. If I really like something that I have done, I like to have the option of framing the piece for display. I found some awesome pictures that I will color. However, they will have to remain in the book and will never see daylight again. Disappointing. It's especially disappointing when the spiral binding almost runs right through the middle of the head of a character. I like the heavy duty paper and expect that it will do nicely with markers and gel pens. Guess I will find out. Overall, my problem is where the binding is located in reference to the pictures. Because some of these pictures will, hopefully, turn out beautifully if I choose my palette correctly.

worse binding job ever. binding too tight and when loosened you can see how the design does not match up from one page to its opposite on the two-page spread. a big white border on each side of the gutter. if i was an artist, this would drive me nuts. no wonder mr. rosanes is not doing any more coloring books. publishers ruin the designs.
the first page was glued to the cover! i guess publishers figured kerby’s fan would pay for anything. no. plus it was damaged in transit. why the store thinks dumping a book in a big box with a few plastic puff things is going to protect it, i don’t know. maybe it was creased and bent before shipping.
sending it back. too many colouring books are arriving damaged.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK!
First, a word about the drawings: I also own Imagimorphia, and even though I prefer very detailed and intricate drawings to color, Imagimorphia was a little disappointing because some of the tiny objects that make up the whole are just silly and seem to ruin the context, dismissing the colorist's work from the status of art to the label of hobby. NOT SO THIS VOLUME! Mythomorphia is perfectly illustrated, with lots of attentive details and yet plenty of room for a colorist's interpretation. None of the illustrations are juvenile or cartoonish and Mythomorphia inspires the idea that you are truly working in partnership with Mr. Rosanes. The subject matter, (i.e.: dragons, merfolk, greenmen, trolls) are often the subject of coloring books, but I have never seen them approached with such dedication and such lovely attention to detail. This has fast become one of my favorite coloring books!
Construction: The paper is white, medium weight (medium to heavy weight in coloring book terms) and mostly smooth, yet not at all glossy or reflective. Alcohol-based pigment markers bleed through and halo just a bit, but they bleed through almost everything, so no surprise there. Sharpies and Bic Marking bleed through as well, but I ordered two copies, so this isn't a problem for me with blotting paper behind. Various gel pens go on smooth, metallics seem to require extra drying time. Water-based markers do not seem to bleed through. Neither do artist's pens. I haven't yet tried pencils because I've been in a marker mood, but I can't see why they would be problematic at all.
I chose the mer-people for my first images, using primarily Copic, Prismacolor, Windsor-Newton and Letraset Promarkers for the initial tinting and Sharpie and Bic Markits for brighter colors. I also used Staedtler .3mm (wow, these triplus pens are a miracle for artists!) and Arteza .4mm and Sharpie Pens for fine details. The Arteza pens (first use for me) aren't as juicy as the Triplus, so avoid pressing too hard, as they can pill the paper. A very few places I used Pentel water-based markers, but they aren't suitable for coloring any area larger than a dime, because the strokes remain.
I don't remove pages from my books, as a general rule, but these are sewn as well as glued, so a sharp knife and a ruler would be in order. However, the book does lay open nicely with some effort, especially after a few hours. In a perfect world, all adult coloring books would be printed on one side of the page, but these ARE NOT, and I was happy enough with the preorder price and quality of the images to just order two. The two-page spreads are not printed all the way into the spine, leaving about 1/4" of grace at the inner margins. The format doesn't turn me off enough to affect my rating because there is so much this book has to offer!
As a side note, I would like Mr. Rosanes to consider a Library and Grimm's Fairy Tales as an inspiration for his next volume...

I found this book at a record store. I was blown away by the artistry. This is the first attempt I've ever made at coloring one of these. It was challenging but at the same time it was therapeutic and fun. I wish I was better at coloring. I'm afraid to touch some of the pages as I want to practice more and get better before I attempt them. 100 count Crayola colored pencils, this book, some coffee and a good podcast or some good music is a nice way to wind down without being on your phone or watching TV. Again I just want to say the art work is incredible and creative.

I absolutely love this book! It's perfect for colored pencil work and is quickly becoming one of my favorites!
The only drawback I found in this book is the paper. I tried to use water color crayons on the background and it was a nightmare! I've seen it used on the one with red lettering, so I thought it would work in this one too. No luck.
I've used them in other books, so I know it's the paired quality. It even bled through to the back of the page, which I've never had.
Anyway, the picture attached is the one that I colored over after the completely botched watercolor episode.
Just wanted to warn others to stick to pencils on this one, but I still love it!

I received this book as a gift and it's beautiful. But as stated by previous buyers several pages are duplicates and done are missing. I'm not sure what to do since it was a gift. I wanna give it 5 stars but due to this error I don't think it's fair. I'm sure the artist had nothing to do with the printing error hopefully I will be contacted and this will be fixed and then I will give it the 5 stars it deserves.

The imagery is lovely, but it spans two facing pages and is thick enough to be difficult to flatten to color.
It's also printed front-back.
The quality of the art and even the paper quality is so high, it seems ridiculous to be so limited in what you can use on the pages and to have to wrestle a book to be coloring. It's beautiful, but I won't buy another of this line because it's so limiting, which is a shame.

Great coloring book. Only thing that is disappointing is the pictures go into the spine and the book isn't very easy to flatten out to get to the center of some of the full 2 page spreads. And I wish the pictures weren't printed on bavk side of pages. Unable to use markers for bleed through issues. But aside from that beautiful pictures and good quality paper.

As with all of the other Kerby Rosanes works, this book is wonderful. Great paper, excellent printing, gorgeous artwork! I have bought and will continue to buy from this artist over and over again. You can't go wrong!

The 2 stars are for the amazing artwork....the lack of more stars is because you cannot use pens on this paper, I've tried a few different kinds and everything BLEEDS through. The paper is just not great compared to other similar coloring books I own.
