Very interesting stories about a village that in the beginning, all the adults went missing, leaving just the children. A fog encircles the forest next to the village and anyone who enters never returns. Years later three people are chosen to enter the fog and they find beasts, fight them and survive only to enter a new village where an evil dragon rules. Future plots revolve around the three villagers, Tressa, Bastian and Connor as well as the Black, Red, Green and Yellow Dragonlands. Lives change, friendships fail, deception rules, lies, love and death fill the pages of these three books by Megg Jensen. This is a 5 book series.

Megg Jensen takes flawed characters in a fairly desolate location through the ringer in this three book set. There are just a few main characters that the plot revolves upon while secondary characters come and go.

Plot falls thin in a few spots over the three books, but the surprises keep coming to make this a worthwhile read and purchase.

Most of the time this is not a feel good story, lots of obstacles for the characters to overcome.

Haven't read, what I call Dragon books, in years because of the repetition of story lines being the same over and over. These were wrote with lots of imagination and creativity. Read the first four books without starting a different book because I got bored. Poor Tressa. No matter what she does she encounters heart ache but keeps her head held high. Can't wait to read more. Congrats on writing a great series.

Seems to be written for a television series. Started to expect commercialsome to pop up after each chapter. Bought the first 3. Made it through the first one but couldn't couldn't make it very far into the second.
I read because I can't stand what's on TV.

I read the first three of this series in a week...the last book in about 24 hours. Definitely full of action and you want to see what happens next. Plenty of surprises along the way, too. I didn't give it five starts because at times, the dialogue is a bit too predictable and trite. Great story line, good characters, terrific setting! I will definitely read the next two.

I love dragons and this is one of the best series ever! I never thought anyone could surpass Anne McCaffry but I enjoyed this almost as much. Great characters and really evil villains. A very rich world that I will enjoy reading again and again. A must read for dragon lovers.

This was an excellent story series. I really enjoyed this set and believe others will too. I recommend this set to anyone who likes dragon stories, but it is not the complete story. There are still 2 more to complete the series.

I loved it! Some kindle books have been very poorly edited and thrown together but I was very very pleased with the verbal skills of the author as well as her talent in painting pictures with the words. I cannot wait to read more!

Honestly the book has a great cover and it may get better but so far I am not impressed.. Maybe it gets better but honestly I am not optimistic. I already started another book. So I will return to this one later and maybe finish it and give my feedback.

This is a well-crafted series, which has left me bummed. The characters are great, the plots are well-thought out. There are surprises everywhere that caught me off-guard, but make sense. I don't know if I can read the next book though because this is a dark world with very little happiness, and very little hope.

Characters are one-dimentional and totally illogical. Tried to read, but finally gave up as the illogic continued to pile up to the point I found myself totally annoyed with the plot, characters, actions, etc. and it just wasn't how I wanted to spend my time.

This is the 3 worst books I have ever read. Because it was a 3 book set I continued to read thinking it would start to answer some of it's questions and get better. Boy was I wrong. I will never buy another book by Megg Jensen.

Megg Jensen tried to hard to keep surprising the readers but fell way short. I put her with Daniel Arenson who try to stretch out a series and have really dumb characters who continue to make dumb mistakes. Never again will I buy ( or read ) either one again.

I wanted to like this book, I just couldn't. I felt like it it was trying to be a grown up novel to a young adult audience and I dont appreciate that kind of stuff in books that my teenagers will read.

Warning Spoiler's galore: As my finger was hovering over the button to buy the 2nd of Meg's book in this series I realized that the only reason I was going to buy it was to see if she could magically fixed up all the ridiculous mistakes she made in the first book. The main character happens to get though the fog with the help of an Owl and happens to meet up with the man she loves who happens to lose his wife to a weird monster freeing him up to get with her. Then they happen to meet up with who of all people?? His mum and her Dad, and they happen to be together! And then she happens to get a job and the guy who happens to need someone to work in his pub happens to have a brother who happens to not only be a master swords man but also a master of disguise!. Then she happens to go for a job with three weeks training while fighting against people who have been training there whole lives and wins, and happens to find an ally who happens to be the son of the guy who trained her , who also happens to be ...... the body guard of a dude who happens to be a dragon! Coincidence much??? And don't even get me started on the villain with razor blades in her hair!! The fog was interesting and unique but the book went down as soon as they got out of it.

I enjoyed the first book, started having reservations with the second, and by the third, I was skimming and shaking my head.
An excellent initial premise, undone by careless plotting, lack of character development, and serious prose flaws. This story takes place in a pre-industrial society, not modern, yet Jensen continually throws in jargon like "turned on" or "paranoia" or "getting things out of my system" or being "out of it", terms a serious editor would have flagged as inconsistent with the time frame. Plot twists, especially the one at the end of the third book, came out of nowhere. A disappointment, to be sure. Glad it was free.

Meh. Lots of loose ends, unanswered questions, no humor, too much sex for my teens to read, but not written at an adult level either. Slogged through all 3 books (second one was the best) with no resolution of any of the three dozen half developed story lines. Skip it.

What to say about these books...if you are into dragons as much as I am..these books are for you. Megg brings to life characters that think they are one thing and then find out they are something else. I lost a lot of sleep reading these books..so if you don't mind long nights of reading these books are for you :)

Tressa and her friends grew up in a town mysteriously cut off from the Dragonlands by a think, impenetrable fog. Venturing out into the fog has always meant death, but this year, Tressa is chosen to go. What she finds outside is not at all what she expects!
Megg has a style that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I really couldn't put these books down! I read books 1-3 before the box set came out, and waiting for the new release was so hard! Buy them all together, and you won't have to wait to see what happens next!

The story flowed well. The ideas were mostly unique. I'm glad I read these first three books but at this time I wasn't so engrossed in the novels that I felt I had to read 4+. Maybe if someone else I know has it to lend me I'll make the effort. Three stars still means I liked it and I won't finish books that I just can't get through.

This is an amazing series - one I eagerly awaited the continuation of. It has drama and suspense like you would not believe. Once you think you have it figured out, a twist occurs and you are left wondering what can happen next. Excellent writer. Highly recomme d
