Heir of Shadows (Daizlei Academy Book 1)

The characters were in depth and intriguing. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy, magic, and action. There was nothing to not like except the end, only in the way that you are excited for the next book, and just can't wait!

This is definitely different. Two of the sisters seem somewhat normal just with issues. But the main one seems to be bit arrogant and almost emotionless. Took me the entire book but I'm finally into the story and she did kind of grow on me.

This was a great and fast-paced book that kept me interested from start to finish. I think anyone from young adult to an adult would really enjoy this book. Don't wait to get this book and give it a read. Just reread this book and realized how amazing it is. So many family issues that go on in real life can affect others that we might not think of and there were just so many great plot twist in this book that I can not wait to see where things go in the next book of this series.

I have never read a book by this author until now, but I will definitely read more. I found this book to be very well-written, have a very fleshed-out and interesting world, and nicely-paced action. The characters were very real to me, and they didn’t feel like the same reused characters. I do have to mention I had a hard time not wanting to yell at the main character as she reminded me a little too much of my own teenager about the same age, so I had mother issues, but that shows how real the author made the characters. LOL! However, as I said before, I really enjoyed this author’s writing and can’t wait to read more by her. If you like young adult novels, definitely give this one a try! Highly recommend!

I found this book browsing through the store, read the description and thought I would give it a try, I am so glad I did. This book is amazing, I was hooked from the very beginning, in fact I was only halfway through when I bought the next book. Selena is definitely the girl you want to have your back, she is amazing! All the characters are so well written and there isn’t anything bad I can say about this book! I am just about to start the next and I can’t wait for more. I would certainly recommend this book to any paranormal reader.

Absolutely terrific. Confusing at first but well worth the effort to keep reading. Three sisters (triplets)who have been shunted around since the death of their parents. Each has their own gift and once they are taken in by family they are sent to a school with other gifted teens. What they are unaware of is that they are special. One can heal, one had the affinity of fire and one has a gift that hasn't been seen in centuries. Watch as they struggle to come to terms with the new situation. As the sister (who has looked after the other two) struggles to keep them safe whilst fighting her dark self. A fast paced read with a understanding of angst and struggles that each face. Terrific vivid main characters and a wonderful cast of other characters. Have already go book 2 and can't wait to dig in.

I give a 5 star review to possibly one out of every two-hundred novels I read. I had no doubt in my mind that this novel had earned every star. I was drawn in from the very beginning and was only disappointed one time, after I had finished the book and found out that Book 2 was not out yet. I will have to say my biggest shock also came after the book when I read Kel's bio. You have not only my respect and admiration for the quality of your work, you also have it for your dedication during a time in life that most would not and do not. So I believe I have been able to express myself in such a manner as not to give away any spoilers, other than Book 2 not being out. If you're reading this, I urge you to read the book. It is well worth your tome.

This book was so not what I thought it was going to be about. It was also beefy which I love it took me a while to read and I read fast. Man I enjoyed this story. The words are so well written I could literally feel the rage when it was expressed in a scene. I held my breathe during the moments all hell was unleashed. This book was so good and I love that it didn't get bogged down by the world creation or character building. Man that ending. Fire and flame. Secrets and enemies. Luscious boys and destruction. I can't wait for the next installment! Must read novel!!!

At firemst I was like meehh it's ok...a little weird perspective and alot of secretiveness from the girls , but once they let loose and head off to the acadamy everything gets so much freaking better. I couldn't put it down.. stayed up past midnight reading he final chapter. I am seriously already getting the second book and speed reading just to find out what the heck they're doing now. Keep writing and I will keep reading Kel <3

Absolutely love this book. I'm late to the party this book has been out a while and I'm kicking myself for not reading it sooner. Brilliant story like kick ass main character action adventure and keeps you on your toes till the very end definitely away to binge read all of her other books so good highly recommend

Such a Great Story! You get Supernatural Triplets with above average power. Selene one of the three who has dedicated her life to caring for her sisters and now all of them have now been sent to a school specifically for supernaturals. Lots of unexpected events and twists. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and loved it!! I cannot wait for the next in the series to find out what happens next.

I absolutely refuse to post spoilers, but I can safely say that the characters and plot are well thought out and constructed through the novel. The heroine isn't a goody-two-shoes and the world is carefully developed. Plots and side characters come and go with deft skill. It's clear page 1 to the end that this is a novel that has been pored over and that it's a stellar example of a new author, one I look forward to reading for many books to come. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
