My daughter loves this book. It got her prepared for her first day of preschool and gave us things to talk about with pictures to help her better understand. Even after starting school we still read this book every night.

This is my second purchase by this author in this series (I also purchased the Night Before Easter). My little ones love the books. The child who I purchased this for will be going to preschool soon, and I could tell this toddler was a bit apprehensive about preschool. After several readings it is obvious the child is now very excited about going to school. The series of books by this author uses some of the same Night Before Christmas verbage, but gets the message across very easily for little ones.

We really like "The Night Before" books. We have been reading this one to prepare for preschool obviously. My daughter is not nervous at all about going to school unlike the little boy in the story but we have used this as a lesson in empathy and tried to teach her how to befriend other children who might not be feeling so confident. It also gives us an opportunity to talk about different activities that she may get to experience while at preschool. Overall we have enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone looking to start discussions about exceptions at preschool.

This is the perfect book to prepare a toddler for pre-school. My son had a bad experience in pre-school so we pulled him until he was a little older. He is scared to death to go to pre-school. When I read the book it brings a calmness upon him. And it also brings up diaglog as to how my son feels towards pre-school.

Did not like this book. It said the word "worried and no 3 year old should know anything about being worried. The had fun and happy parts in it but the part about the little boy in the corner by himself broke my heart. Decided not to read it to my grandaughter. I read her a happy book!

It was way too long for Pre-k students. I placed a paper clip to hold on to two different pages just so i can make the book a bit shorter. I also changed a few words around to make them a bit less complicated.

It's cute, but kind of silly. It's attempt to flow the way the night before Christmas story does is a little trite and annoying. My 3yo wasn't a huge fan of this book. Probably wouldn't recommend this one.

This book is AWESOME! My son loved it, I loved it, and my husband loved it. It really showed what a day at Preschool would be like. We are preparing my son for his first day at Preschool, and this really helped my son get an idea of what fun things he would do.
I will buy more books from this series for sure!

Was a cute read for the night before my daughters first day of preschool. It does mention being nervous to go - which my daughter was not. If your little one takes to cues from books - and has no anxiety or nerves - this might not be a good book to read.
Was really well written and if your little one IS nervous, works through those nerves/anxiety in a nice way!!

Billy is not only anxious.....he spends most of his first preschool day in a corner, all by himself. Finally, at nap time, another youngster offers him her soft, fuzzy bunny and he's able to get to sleep. After he wakes up, there's time for one short game with Charlotte....and then the parents show up to pick up their kids. This book is just too sad.

She is so excited about preschool starting for her on Monday, and this book is a perfect segue into discussing what she can expect to take some of the fear out of the new experience. She has no fear about almost anything, but she can be shy around new people. This should help her along in that regard.

Billy's big day is coming up and he feels a little nervous, even with Jerome the bear at his side. When his big day arrives, Billy is timid and shies away from participating in any of the activities. Then at nap time, true tragedy is discovered - he has forgotten Jerome. But a kind friend shares her snuggle animal, and Billy realizes that maybe preschool isn't so bad!

This story is told in rhyme based on the text from The Night Before Christmas. A comforting tale for students just starting school - letting them know it is OK to be nervous

I like this book. It does display exactly what the title says. It is a great book for teaching a child what preschool is like to help run away the jitters. I have this book in my children's library prepared for my future child care.
