You really can't make this stuff up! I laughed out loud, not the cute, "lol", but the snorting and wheezing laughing that draws attention. This is great stuff and I hope to one day, be in a book just like it! Read it. You will enjoy it.

It excites me to no end, that some of my fave bloggers have put together a book. I have laughed to the point of years, hiccups, ribs are aching and my hubby TRIED to take it away from my. What happened instead was HE started reading it with me. I cannot recommend this book enough. It's a dose of reality, mixed with humor, quick wit and heavily laced with sarcasm, a definite must read for anyone!

If you are an average Mom like me, you will love this. These stories make you feel better about your "bad Mom" moments. This book makes you feel less alone in not living up to the standards Sally Super Mom down the street has set.

Okay book with some funny stories and others I did not enjoy. A few of the authors were so funny I started following their individual blogs. Others I skimmed and did not enjoy as much. This is pretty much true of any book by various authors. No one is going to like every author. You might find a new favorite blog though. Bought on sale for .99; not sure I'd have paid $5.

Do you like to laugh? Feel kinship with other hysterical moms? This is the book for you. Every book Jen Mann writes rings true to the funny, chaotic and thankless job of being a mom. Oh, she also celebrates motherhood.

As a mother of two heathens, this book really hit home!! I laughed from beginning to end - especially Rachael Pavlik's "My Awkward Period". She is a genius! I've been following RachRiot.com from the beginning and this girl is hilarious! Look her up when you're done - you won't regret it :)

After all, don't you wanna perfect your jitterbug for your daughter's dance too??
Buy the book and jump forward to Rachael Pavlick's hilarious essay for the rest of the story.......
Then, enjoy the rest of the equally funny motherhood stories. You will not be disappointed!

I agree with the reviewer who said she found this annoying rather than funny. I wanted this to be really funny; I have a 1 and 3 year old and seriously, I just want to pee alone!! And the author's previous collection of short essays was hilarious. These are from multiple authors and read more as a series of "hey, being a mom/pregnant/etc kind of sucks sometimes!" Which, it does, but I think what I wanted from this book was more the story of that T-Rex eating the mermaid in the toilet on the cover. (Spoiler alert: that story is not in this book, not even close.)

I got a chuckle out of this book. It would have been far better if they had included some essays from single fathers. One gets the impression from reading the book that women are the only ones doing the child rearing in modern society. Get with it, ladies. Today, there are single dads, stay at home dads, etc.

I enjoyed most of the contributors and it's a great, quick read you can easily pick up and put down without "losing your place" which is ideal when you have ZERO time to read. Baby Sideburns is my go to mom blogger, she can quickly take me from suicidal to laughing (and only mildly suicidal).

I really wanted to like this book and I am not a prude by any means BUT the amount of cussing and f bombs woven throughout the first few stories really turned me off. A cuss here and there is one thing but a few of the stories it was almost every sentence....

Not as funny as I thought it would be. The sample story is one of the few really well written ones. Many are just vulgar, ok if you choose to follow their blogs but a bit disappointing in book format.

I really wanted to like this book. I'm a mom, I read a lot of mom blogs, I like things that are clever and funny. But I just couldn't really enjoy most of the stories. I get that as a parent, sometimes you just need to vent. I also get that sometimes it can be really helpful to hear about other moms' difficulties, to know you're not alone when you're down in the trenches. But the tone of this book was just too negative for me. There weren't any stories I really didn't like, and maybe if there were more happy stories interspersed with the negative ones it would be more enjoyable, but as it is I just kind of felt like I went to a baby-group where every mom was complaining about something. All valid complaints, and many of them funny, but just too much at once for me.

All of the reviews said how hilarious this was and personally I didn't think it was that funny. Some of the stories were absolutely hilarious, but others just weren't funny at all, kind of boring actually. I was looking for something more!

This was an entertaining read for moms who will find more than one chapter that resonates. Most of these bloggers, however, dish out a generous helping of profanity. While motherhood can drive a saint to curse at times, I would have enjoyed more blog sampling that didn't lean on potty words to get a laugh.

Sorry, but I couldn't even finish this book. Not laugh out loud funny. Rather, many of the women writing sound like they hate their kids. If that's your sense of humor, then by all means buy this book. Full of hyperbole. Frankly, a waste of time.

This collection of essays by some of my favourite bloggers is pure gold. It highlights the fact that, as parents, we are all in the same boat...the one with crayon scribbles on the side, beheaded Barbie dolls strewn on the deck, Lego scattered in doorways, enough bodily fluids smeared on every conceivable surface to breed a new strain of bacteria and an abundance of laughter and love.
You'll laugh until you cry and then some more.

This was very funny...........for the first couple of stories, then it just became the same thing over and over again. How much discussion can there possibly be about the female anatomy before you become.....well.......frankly speaking.........bored. It was ok to pass the time, funny in places but too much "more of the same" for my taste

Just downloaded it for my flight home on my kindle! I hope I can read some between nursing my daughter who will be squirming and kicking the people next to me and trying to sleep (yeah right!!) So far I have read 3 of the stories while staying up FAR too late just for some me time and it is very good! <3 I look forward to your posts every day as comic relief from the biting and pinching and general disregard for my comfort. Super Excited to read it all!

You Will Never Pee Alone
I spent the last afternoon and evening doing one of my favorite things. I am a voracious reader. So
when a blogger/author/unicorn lover/ Queen of all things sporky started posting about a book that she had contributed in writing, I knew I would have to investigate this. The name alone is a testament to Parenthood. "I Just Want to Pee Alone" I think every parent has dreamed of the sheer bliss of being able to close the bathroom door and let nature take it course naturally. Alone, without a chorus of "MOM, MOM, MOMMY, MAMA." But just like that old axiom "If you want your dinner to be served quicker in a restaurant, go to the bathroom" there is "If you want to spend some, not so quality time with your entire brood, head for the Toto." I volunteered to read it and let you know what I honestly thought.
So, I settled down fully preparing to enjoy a stroll down memory lane. I am in that sweet spot where my children are all adults. Living and loving and working all on their own. I still see them on the regular, but now when they visit, they usually don't barge in the bathroom, usually. When I started reading though I got far more than that. This book is more than you'd think. This is not just some quickly thrown together group of stories about the trials of parenthood. No, this has real tips you need to get through life. Like the need to take your own wet naps when burying your mother...oh, and a small scoop too. Trust me and rubber gloves and maybe a poncho.
Also, do not, no matter how excited you are to meet Patti, from Insane In The Mom-Brain...do not kiss her on the mouth. Or share a beverage with her. I do not care if she gargles first with hand sanitizer the answer is no. Get your own damn glass....I will not tell you her shame...lets just say it involves baby poop and her mouth. Enough said. Moving on.
It would be so easy to say that this is a mommy bloggers, funny book. It is and it is raw and real. There are so many bare naked truths shared. So much honesty about the ugly side of parenting. The one that they do not tell you about. Even if they had told you, you would not have listened. You never know more about parenting your children than when they are still pretend children who are shiny and perfect and don't spew biohazards at you.
There are many things in this world that are hard. Waking up at 6:30, smearing hello kitty make up on your face and using baby oil to slide into your wet blue jeans before the bus comes on the first day of high school is hard....Being the designated driver on ladies night with dollar well drinks and cute guys trying to liquor you up, is hard. Not killing your husband for making "that time of the month" jokes. Still being attracted to him after he dutch ovens you...also hard. But listen up buttercup it is nothing and I mean nothing compared to being a snot rag, vomit catcher, poop licker baby breeder. There is practical useful advice here and war stories. Learn from their battles, because there will be blood. There will be tears and sickness and sleepless nights.
And if that little bundle of bio waste is not what you expected. If in this world of perfectly formed beings, yours is not, well then it gets real. Ask these women. There is nothing so harrowing as fighting for your child just to create something like a normal life. So, when these talented loving, brave writers let you see behind the curtain, please take the time. It is well worth the price of admission to the madness of mothering. These women share their hurts, faults and fears, and in doing so they honor us. They are revealing their foibles and failings. Also, they are really saying that we are not alone. We all struggle with loving parenthood. No matter what you have read or how you have scheduled and organized parenting in advance, you will fail. Accept that going in and you and your young will be the better for it.
Nobody asked me but I will tell you anyway.....you are never going to be able to pee by yourself. There I told you. First it will be your children, then your spouse and later, your grandchildren. yes...just let that sit there and ruminate. You will have grandchildren. Try not to laugh at your children when they come in after a long night of no sleep, smelling like week old kitty litter and looking even worse. Hand them this book, it will still be relevant. Good writing is ageless.

I was so excited to get this book, as I adored the title and cover art. However, I couldn't get past some of the beginning stories due to the coarse language. To be fair, I didn't read the entire book, and had I continued, I may have discovered some hilarious, uplifting reads. However, I have such limited free time to read anything that after reading a few three and four-letter words, I decided this book wasn't for me.

There doesn't seem to be a theme, other than the commonality that these are all 'mommy bloggers.' Some of the entries are funny, most of them are a bit crass with strong language (which doesn't bother me), but I just didn't feel that this book offered anything that a quick internet surf and time to read some blogs couldn't do. Stay on the internet to read blogs - they dont' need to be in a book.

Background: This anthology is brought to you by a vast array of mom-bloggers who are awesome enough to share their stories and troubles of parenting with the world.
Review: I have to say that I am not a parent, but this book was really insightful. These moms are hilarious, entertaining, and educational in their short stories about their parenting lives...and I do mean all parts of parenting. From baby birthing stories, to woman doctor visits, how to live with young kids and how to keep your sanity. I really enjoyed reading theses stories and feel like I have learned a lot from these moms. I am not ready to be a parent but I feel like having the opportunity to hear their voices will make me a better parent...hm no...a better prepared parent down the line.
If you are a parent, read this book. If you aren't but want to be someday...read this book. If you just want something light to laugh at...read this book. Are you seeing the trend? I hope so, go read it:)

Finally finished I Just Want to Pee Alone.....I highly recommend it!!! While I liked ALL of the stories, my favorites (in no particular order, but listed by blog name) were Snarkfest, The Mom of the Year, Funny is Family, RachRiot and People I Want to Punch in the Throat. It is so nice to know that other people have the same crazy Mom problems and thoughts that I have...this is truly a "jury of my peers"! Every Mom that I know needs to read this (and try not to feel guilty for doing so)....we deserve to laugh, or nod and smile in recognition in these oh-so-true words!! Well played ladies, well played!!! The REAL Debbie Brookhart...

After falling in love with one of the fantastic bloggers (snarkfest.blogspot.com) who wrote this book, I knew the book was going to be FUNNY, but I didn't expect how great it was going to make me feel about parenting. Working at home with two little ones can be lonely and so many other things, none of us are always perfect all the time, and it helps so much to know you're not alone, and to have a healthy laugh about the craziness of childhood.
I bought it, I read it and I want to pass it along to someone else but I keep reading it again and again. And it always makes me feel better. This is one of those books that is WORTH every penny!

If you want a how-to manual for trouble-free parenting, one that offers guidance and advice from other Moms, I Just Want to Pee Alone is not the book for you.
The honest, hilarious, and sometimes poignant ladies in this Momthology aren't trying to tell us how to parent; they are holding our hands and laughing with us as we wade through the swirling waters of Motherhood. Admitting that they, too, have failed at Pinterest crafting and have also experienced sidewalk rage while driving their strollers, these Moms make us feel normal. And I don't know about you, but I need a little more normal in my day.

This was one of the funniest collection of short stories I have ever read. Being a mom of two under age 5, this book had me nodding my head in agreement at times, and cringing in pain with sympathy at other times. because I could totally relate. If I had read this before I had kids I'm pretty sure my husband and I would be traveling the world checking off another country on our bucket list rather than me scraping sweet potato off a wall while staring at a pile of laundry that I swear multiplies faster than horny rabbits do, while he works extra hours just to stay away from the chaos at our house instead of for extra money like he says is the reason he works more. I mean its not like he's going to come home for some quality "wifey" time, I'm always passed out cold from sheer exhaustion, and probably snoring too. Hot, huh? I recommend this book to any and every mom - that isn't a prude, since there are some "TMI" moments that any mom can relate too but they are pretty graphic.. I don't recommend this book to anyone who doesn't have kids and is on the fence - this will send them on trips to Europe instead. You know, the ones I wish I was on right now but instead I get to go break up a fight between my lovely young daughters over a toy neither of them play with anymore.

This book is laugh out loud funny. It's full of stories that as a mother I identify with on many levels. It shows the humor of motherhood. It highlights that being a mother is a daunting undertaking with many ups and downs, but the way to get through it is with laughter. I recommend it to anybody that has ever thought that they would die of embarrassment at the mouths of their kids.

I just finished reading "I Just Want To Pee Alone", and loved it! With so many talented bloggers, I knew I couldn't go wrong with this pick! There is so much to love about this book! These writers don't hold back, they give it everything they've got, spilling their guts, sharing their hearts and baring their souls! Reading this book is like getting a big huge hug from every mother out there telling you that everything will be okay! You will find yourself relating to each voice with it's own uniqueness yet you will undeniably feel the common thread that weaves them all together. Hilarious and Heartwarming from beginning to end! Wonderful job ladies!

This book is the kind that will have you getting bizarre looks from people if you read it in public because you'll be laughing out loud or nodding your head in solidarity with each essay. Nothing makes a challenge easier than knowing you're not crazy and you're definately not alone. Raising children is the hardest thing I've ever had the privilege to do and I found myself connecting with each writer as I doubled over with laughter. I particularly enjoyed that each writer has their own distinct voice, style and stories. The ages of the children vary so it isn't only the challenges of raising young children that gets it's due. Just a solid, funny read from some very talented women. Awesome!

I bought this book after another mom indicated it was laugh out loud funny. I found both the format and the writing to be only mediocre. It is a compilation of blog entries, some of which are about the conflicts of priorities that mothers face and some are just about families in general. I didn't find it all that funny, barely more than a knowing smirk at times.

This book was a quick read. Every story was from a different blogger but the theme was the same. Parenting; The trials and tribulations, and the rewards too, I guess. I was hoping to find some new bloggers. I have been following People I want to Punch in the Throat on Facebook and that is how I found this book. I found a few of these stories really funny, some of them not so much. The variety of writers in this book almost guarantees that not every thing will be what you want. It is a cute collection though.

I may not be a mom (extra equipment), but I laughed my way through this book just the same. I can certainly relate to a story like "Don't Stop Believin" where Michelle Newman finds the hilarity in the awkward (and exciting) rollercoaster ride of finding time "together" when you are raising children. I have lived the nightmare of "I Love Disney World" first hand and Karen Alpert reminded me how funny that nightmare was (now that it's over). And while I can't relate to Susan McLean's "Two Vaginas" it didn't make reading about it (them) any less funny. Dads... buy this book for your wife... and steal it when she is not looking!

I was expecting a little more...stories were pretty blah and normal stuff you can find any day on these women s blogs. Was quite disappointed. There were a couple that made me laugh but for the most part not worth buying. Just read their blogs for the same stories.

This is like a who's who of the funny parenting bloggers community. As a still relatively new blogger, I got the book to support a few of my friends...but then I started reading...and it just got better and better. It got so good that I may have peed on myself a little...but hey, at least I was alone! Momaical,Frugalista, Ninja Mom...I just want to buy them all a drink! This will be my new gift at any and all baby showers that I attend in the future. Sometimes in the middle of all the poop and sleepless nights, it's easy to forget that there's so much funny! This book is the perfect reminder!

If only this book had been around when I had small children. Some of the things that happened during those early years just bordered on the ridiculous and I thought maybe I was "doing it wrong." How great it would have been to have these stories not only for commiseration, but to lighten me up so that I could find the funny. This book is hilarious, tender, true and a reassurance that imperfect is normal. Buying it for the new (and not so new) moms in my life.

Whatever you do, don't read this while your family is sleeping, because you will wake them up from the fits of laughter these stories bring you!
The stories are wonderful and hilarious because not only can I relate to them but because I'm glad I'm not the only mother who does. With these stories come support and a communal understanding.
So thank you all for the support, laughter and the occasional tears, from laughing, of course! Bravo. Looking forward to following all the bloggers too.

I found this book to be annoying rather than funny. I guess my sense of humor is just different than most readers. Making fun of your extra pounds and swearing just for the sake of swearing just doesn't make me laugh. After reading the first couple of stories, I skimmed through the rest looking for something better but they were all equally unoriginal and uninteresting.

The struggle of Motherhood is real! This book is a brutally honest look into the daily trials mothers face. It's good to know I'm not the only mom out there facing some of the crazy I deal with each day. You have to just laugh or cry! This book will definitely make you laugh - because you've totally been there! It's a lite, easy read that's great to pick up when you can grab a few minutes for yourself!

I really liked the collection of stories from the various writers, though it did feel a bit disjointed jumping from one to the next. I understand this is not meant to be read like a book from cover to cover. It was a very quick read and I smiled at many parts and even laughed out loud twice. There were a few writers who really ought to write their own books. The one who wrote the story about her mom dying was the best writer in my humble opinion and I'd love to see more of her work. Not the funniest book out there but an enjoyable read that will appeal to many moms.

Love this collection and cannot wait to get started on the next!!! I am already following several of these blog writers and after reading this book have even found a few more to keep up with! I enjoyed it so much, I even gave a copy to a friend for her to enjoy! We as parents need to stick together and what better way to do that than swap stories and laugh with each other!!!!

I enjoy many of the bloggers featured in this book and was excited to read this one after enjoying other blogger's publications (People I want to punch in the throat, blogess, crappy pictures), but this was a real let down. These bloggers are hilarious and I have read plenty of laugh out loud funny blogs written by the authors featured; however, not one of those was in this book. This collection was just not great and I wish the authors had gone for more of their outrageously funny stuff than trying to pick the entries that have that "funny story, but really I love my kids so much" formula. Obviously you love your kids. I was really hoping this book would be hilarious, but it was anything but. Very disappointed!

This compilation will let you know that you are not alone.........(as the title indicates....ever). The great thing about this book, though, is the humorous approach that this group of moms has in dealing with the day to day stress of child rearing. We all love our children....but truth be told, we also are tired and clueless many times during this adventure. Tracy Winslow of Momaical never disappoints with her humorous approach to motherhood. I guess I will have to check out all of these bloggers whenever I feel like I need my spirits lifted by those who understand........A great read.

I'm writing a review before reading cuz I'm just DYING to read it and am too impatient to wait! I do have to wait for payday (Grrrr.) but am already plotting a yard sale or hobo robbing to buy it sooner. I've been on "Momb"-detox for weeks since I ditched my Facebook account...this book might enable me to get off the detox floor...or PUT me on the floor! And if mombrain says these other authors are funny...her word is golden. Kinda like the Oprah effect without the snarky "you have nice shoes". (Seriously, WHO would ditch your offer of a dancing date??! DUH) Looking forward to a hysterical read!! Yaaayyyyyyyy!! (miss you momb!)

I tried to read this in bed at night, (you know cause that's the closest thing to me time I get) but I had to go to the couch because my laughing was keeping the hubs up. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks life with children is a comedy or the only one who finds getting through each day a struggle at times.

This book was written by moms for moms - and I'm not talking the Martha Stewart type moms - the everyday mom who only wishes she had the guts to say out loud what these ladies write for all to see! Welcome to the hilarious inner dialogue of moms everywhere!

I’m pretty sure anyone out there who is a mom, has a mom or may become a mom can find a familiar, relatable voice in this collection of essays. I know I found many. First there was Patti from Insane in the Mom Brain, who wisely noted, "for some stupid reason it's illegal for a mother to leave her child home alone." I know. Why is that? I've long wondered. Then there's Johi from Confessions of a Corn Fed Girl who sends up a warning signal to all moms: Beware “What You Mock You Become.” Listen to her, ladies, because Johi has certainly mocked her fair share of people, and it’s come back to haunt her. But those are only two of the 37 hilarious stories on motherhood in this uproariously funny, no-hold barred collection.

Love,Love,Love this book! So full of awesome! Truer words have never been spoken! The stories shared by these ladies had me laughing, crying, and...snorting(sometimes all at once) as I read. A little something for everybody. If you can't find at least a few things to relate to in this book, then you just might not be human ;)

I've been a follower of most of these ladies blog's for some time now, and they never fail to brighten my day. Whether it's their awesome sense of humor, or their ability to make me feel better about my fantastic "Mom moments", they always leave me laughing, and since I've purchased this book-- receiving strange looks of fear from my husband and children while I sit alone and laugh out loud). :) This book also led me to follow a few more fun blogs. Worth every penny!

Hilarious, real accounts of the wonderous ride called motherhood!! The stories in the book capture the moments that are hilarious in retrospect, but at the time drove even the best mommy to drink so as not to do or say anything they'd regret! It's so wonderful to read about other moms going through the same experiences as you and handling it with humor and realism!

and She too loved it!!!
Made me look like a hero again and what more can a Guy want from a gift.
She even went on to say She had looked for it herself and was very happy when opened as a gift.
New Moms need to commiserate and know the demanding world of being a Mom is one in which all the weird things
are not happening to them alone!!!

I haven't read a book in so long but I was really amazed at how it kept my attention. If you're looking for some fun and laughter this is definitely the book. AND no you don't have to be a mom to appreciate this book...loved every bit of it and thought it was amazing!

I really wanted to like this book. I have a young child, I like blogs, I think there's a lot of room for toddler humor in small packages (see: Smarter Toddler). But this is just a series of incoherent rants. It's not even the best work of some of these individual bloggers -- in horror, I went to their blogs to see why this was published. Some of the blogs are funny, and well-written. But the 18 essays (entries?) that I managed to read before giving up were all just overwrought. Like the authors were trying to one-up each other with extremes of style. Wanton swearing that had no place. No sense of plot (even a short entry needs to say *something*), no structure, no...nothing. A real disappointment.

I thought all of the stories were written by the same person because they were all so unoriginal. How could so many people be saying the exact same thing only slightly different. I even went on a few blogs to try and determine that there were actually different authors. "Bad Parenting Moments" should just be called "Bad Parenting" or "Feel Sorry for Me Because My Mother Didn't Buy Me The Right Clothes". Wow. Sadly, that's five bucks and an hour of my life I can't get back.

After reading this book, I can only assume that I either read the wrong book OR all of the 5-star reviews came from the friends and family of the numerous "authors". This is a collection of people trying to be funny and falling short. I did not even giggle once. I kept reading because I was waiting for the funny. The "crazy" stuff they describe is no where near crazy and the descriptions are not amusing. The language used was gratuitous. I found multiple typos throughout. I do not recommend this book....especially to those of you who are not yet mothers.

I found the Sample (provided via the store for my Kindle) hilarious.
I found the complete book very sleep-inducing. Not many laughs for me.
Because some people may enjoy this, I rounded-up my own personal rating of 2.5 stars to 3 stars.

She's a dog hater. Before you spend money on one of her book, read her blog and see if you enjoy her rude and mean girl life view. Poor writing and she is not funny at all. One of those books by people who are so fascinated and smug about their own basic life.

There were a few chuckles but I didn't really laugh out loud. The stories were not at all relatable and some weren't even believable. It was very short, I blew through it in less than an hour. You'll get more laughs if you just read some of the contributor's blogs instead. While there were a couple stories that were written well, the cheap quality of the book and the lack of editing made it obvious that this is a self-published book.

It's definitely a funny read, but can get pretty crass. Its distracting when the writers throw out the f bomb or other casual cursing in trying to describe their frustrations with motherhood. Sometimes the analogies these mom bloggers give are Hitleresque. If you enjoy a humorous outlook on motherhood and don't mind strong language, this is for you.

I thought this would be funny - so I bought it for my neice who just had her 3rd child. Have to admit I read it before giving it to her. After reading the entire book,(20 minutes of my life which I will never get back,) I bought her another gift. If you like sit-coms where you know the joke before the punchline, you will love this book. If you think Kelly Ripa is hilarious, you will love this book. If you miss "The Mommies" TV show, (90's) you'll love this book. If you long for something more original... something funnier than the "local stitch" who works at your favorite frozen yogurt store, don't waste even .99 on the used version.

I read a few of these mom-blogs and I really thought this book would be funnier, but the punch line of self centered disdain for children gets old. Some of the anecdotes are funny, but some are just downright mean spirited. While I can relate the exhaustion and hilarity of motherhood, I find many of these essays loose thier humor when they devolve into name-calling and child shaming. Just not that funny.
