Patrick Kenzie vs. Harry Bosch - An Original Short Story

I liked this Harry Bosch novel. I've read every one. That being said, I think the Bosch story is getting a little long in the tooth. The ending was very disappointing. I won't ruin it for anyone else, but I think the ending was the worst part of the book.

Was not as exciting as previous Harry Bosch stories. D. Lehane is an author whose stories give me nightmares! I read Moonlight Mile and still can't think about it without feeling sick! Although Kinzie and Gennaro are great characters, I won't read any more of Lehanes books.

Most short stories leave you wanting more. This short was succinct, well written and although left you wanting more you understood that although you wanted more this story was done. It was a pleasant read and thoroughly engrossing from start to finish.

I have liked Micheal Connellly for a long time. This was my first reading experience with Dennis Lehane. I enjoyed this short preview and now I have a new mystery author to read. It was great for a short flight.

The plot was disjointed by having meshed the two authors working on one project. The concept looked promising but somehow I felt that if one author was developing the whole plot with input from the other author, it might have worked better. But I did enjoy the book.
