The product itself was in great shape and quality, but I wasnt a fan of this series, the best book was the third where Luce travels through the announcers to the different time periods, but the other books barely held my interest, they were too depressing and drawn out.

Nothing grand, it did with some excellent parts and a lot of boring parts. At some points I simply just had to skip a lot of dialogue because it was so uninteresting. The excellent parts were pretty thrilling though and drew me in, too bad it doesn't stay that way all the way through. It was a bumpy ride but I forced myself to read the whole book.

The book starts right where the last one left off. The ending chapter ties all three previos books in finishing the puzzle and leaving a twist at the end. I hate to admit I tied up the end before I got to it but you have to finish it to see what happens to Luc and Daniel along with the rest of the angels you fall in love with in the series. No disappointments in this read.

I could not wait to read this book!! Since the release of the last one I devoured in 2 days, I constantly checked to see if the arrival date by chance had moved up. Here it is and I begin. The ending so anti climatic, with the big bang of the others it seemed as if she just decided to chop this one off at the knees... Makes me almost want to write my own ending so I can be happy.

I was anxiously awaiting the release of this book and was happy with the story line all the way until the end. I don't think the ending suited the intensity of Daniel and Luce and their relationship through the first two books.

I loved the book, but why Gabbe and Molly? Also, why couldn't Daniel and Luce remember what happened and not forget each other. I mean this was a great book and everything, but seriously why make heartbreaking. Why did Dee have to go that way? All good, sad questions.

A really disappointing ending to what could have been a very good series. The last installment could be re-titled "where in history are we?" and really lacks any compelling momentum. Plus, the "surprise" ending was completely predictable.

I loved this book series and how the story develops. I totallly felled in love with all the characters and everythig. But without any spoilers, the end was just not the perfect (for my taste), but it was the the correct one and the more realistic.

The start and middle of the book was awesome as she discovers who she is but I was very disappointed in the ending and felt it was a quick finish and left the reader empty not a very good happy ending all that work in the three books to find out who she was for it to be taken away at the end

The series was good but something just seemed to be missing in the ending, having said that, my daughter
loved it and the audio was well read.

I enjoyed the other books in this series but I did find myself skimming over all the over done explanations aka boring parts. This book was very disappointing though. While some of the surprises were really good, the ending was awful. I felt like so much was left out. I think I know why the Trevor guy ended up dieing but it never really talked about why. It didnt go into enough of the future or detail about Daniel and Luce for me either. I also wanted to know what happened to Cam in the future as well as the other fallen angels. It just felt like the whole last book was rushed and not enough thought was put into really completing the story. Blah :(

*Complimentary copy provided. This does NOT affect my review in any way.*
Rapture. Such an appropriate title. This book absolutely stole my breath away and made me cry while my throat was clenched tight. In other words--I was raptured, reading the fourth and final installment in the Fallen series.

Luce has just come back from the past bearing bad news. Lucifer is planning to wipe away millions of years of history. To bring them back to the one event that started it all--the Fall. But if that happened, Luce and Daniel wouldn't fall in love over centuries. Everything would come apart. So they, along with their angelic (and demonic) friends are on a race against time to find the three relics that will lead them to the site of the Fall where everything and anything is revealed. Including the secret revelation that sparked Lucifer's rebellion in the first place.

Rapture made me love the Fallen series. In the beginning it was just something to read. But now I'm making it my number one priority to re-read every book all over again with new eyes. Rapture left my crying so many times and made me love Lucinda more than ever. (Notice how I use her full name.) We encounter new characters like Dee and Olianna and revisit with old ones. Either way, each one is essential to this story and most (excluding a certain few...) of them now have places in my heart.

The writing was beautiful and the plot never left you bored. Fast paced and filled to the brim with action, I couldn't tear myself away and found myself reading deep into the night and finishing it in one sitting. Even the parts that are usually written awkwardly, the heaven descriptions, were wonderfully described, giving me the sense of angelic propriety.

Daniel seemed incredibly bossy and a bit merciless so I'm definitely Team Cam. I didn't like the way he reacted to certain angels' deaths even if they were his friends. I wanted to pull out my hair. Luce, on the other hand, seemed way more mature than in Fallen when we met her as a whiny girl. It was absolutely relieving when I realized that she was a better heroine than before. Whew!

It was a great angel read, although not as dark I prefer, but it was still awesome. The way Lauren Kate finished off Luce and Daniel's story was absolutely fitting and I loved it, although it was a bit saddening. I cried when I read the last line, it was absolutely touching. It was absolutely 100% beautiful and is definitely one ending I hadn't even imagined.

I remember really enjoying the first few books in this series but since it’s been years since I’ve picked up the first book, it was difficult for me to reenter the series again. I basically had to re-fall in love with Dan and Luce and the whole premise once again. Surprisingly, I ended up enjoying the spin-off (the last book in the series is actually a spin-off and not at all related to Luce or Dan) more than the conclusion of Dan and Luce’s cursed love.

I also enjoyed the novella, Fallen in Love, mainly because it allowed me to understand the other angels a little more even though when I first picked up the book, I had no recollection on any of the characters so the first couple in the novella, Miles and Shelby, were completely lost on me. Actually, now that I think of it, I’m still not 100% sure who they are…LOL. However, Roland and Arianne’s own stories made a lot of sense because they were still prominent characters in the fourth and final (“final”) book. I particularly liked Arianne’s story because I did not know she geared that way. It was a little shocking but I liked it because even angels do not have boundaries on love and I think that’s great.

I’m not going to talk too much about Dan or Luce mainly because I think most of the character building occurred in the beginning of the series and I was essentially only reading the conclusion in book 4, Rapture. Therefore, I will discuss more about the plot and the conclusion. First of all, I was shocked with the ending. I thought the whole purpose of the series was a cursed love between an angel and a human. However, Lauren completely skewed from that and revealed the ultimate reason as to why Dan and Luce have a cursed love to start with. Second, I think that ultimate reason is bogus. I found it ludicrous and ridiculous because, I mean, these are angels. Why do they need to pick a side and failure to do so would end up in a lifetimes of lifetimes of a love that will ultimately lead to death? Needless to say, I was not satisfied with that reasoning but it did give a good introduction into the “final” book of the series.

The whole premise with Unforgiven was fascinating. The idea of Lilith being sent to a purgatory of different aspects of hell that circle on the main thing – revenge – was interesting. You don’t really understand what the story behind was until later on in the book and then you’re like “OH, so that’s what happened” and then you feel bad for the two of them. To be honest though, this whole drama stemmed from Cam’s inability to trust in Lilith enough. If he only had the guts to tell her or show her, then they would have lived a happily ever after and maybe Cam wouldn’t even have sided with Lucifer to start with. But no, he had to be stubborn and scared. I’m just glad it all worked out for them because I simply cannot imagine living different kinds of hell over and over again because of a deal gone bad.

Overall, I still think this series was good mainly because I do remember enjoying the first and the third book a lot with the second one being a bit of a lull. And Cam’s story in Unforgiven was enlightening. I also like you not only got a closer glance at Cam’s background but also more on Lucifer’s personality. There were a lot of LOL moments between the two.

I guess the most important thing is what I'll start with: Rapture is the perfect ending to this series.

It is just like the other three books, lyrically written and chuck full of Luce and Daniel. Everything is finally revealed and, yes, they get their happily ever after in the most perfect way.

When I began Fallen, it was the first angel book I ever read. I stuck with the series because I found it interesting, despite how you must know I feel about the romance in this book. After all, I HATE insta-love and overdone romance, which is really what these books have always thrived on. I mean, if you can't take romance, I've always told people to RUN AWAY SO FAST. You need a stomach of iron to get through Luce and Daniel on every page.

Fallen and then Torment were always my exception to my "I HATE OVERDONE ROMANCE" rule. Passion actually really intrigued me, because it was so much different then the first two. After that one, I'll admit that I worried Rapture would let me down.

It didn't.

Fans of the series could NOT be disappointed with Rapture ... well, unless you're a Cam/Luce shipper. It had everything that made us fall in love with Fallen, Torment and Passion, from the fun mythology, the dream-like writing and-of course-Luce and Daniel. They aren't apart for a SECOND of this book, don't you worry. Kate also introduced some final characters that were fantastic, and tied everything back around nicely to the first book.

There were a few new plot devices introduced that I was confused about, like Patinas. Luce has spent so much time running from her enemies, why weren't these super-secret hideaways introduced sooner? Also, how was this the first mention of the relics? Still, Kate managed to come up with semi-explanations for why we're just learning about these now, so I sat back and enjoyed the ride.

I never did read Fallen in Love, so the little hints we got about the other angels' pasts really made me happy. Even the Outcasts became totally cool in this book. Whereas Passion explored Luce and Daniel's past, Rapture explored that PLUS the past of the others. It was really neat to see who everyone was before the Fall.

Honestly, there isn't much I can say. As always, it's ridiculously hard to write about books you liked as opposed to books you found issue with. An ending of a series is always so bittersweet. I also don't want to splurge on any spoilers. I can say, however, that I'm very happy. The epilogue of Rapture was one of the sweetest things I've ever read. All loose ends were tied up perfectly neat.

I admit, books 1-3 of the FALLEN series have been solid 3.5 star books to me. Good, but lacking that emotional punch and epic storytelling I longed to experience. Essentially, what kept me reading until now was the potential for a grand finale. With RAPTURE that grand finale was certainly delivered! I am 100% completely and utterly enraptured with RAPTURE!

At the start of RAPTURE, we join Luce and Daniel on a journey across nations. We follow them as they collect various artifacts that will help them in their quest to defeat Lucifer and bring an end to the curse one and for all. It is an action-packed ride that they take us on, filled with plenty of danger and revelations of near-epic proportions. I think that the pacing in this installment tops that of any previous entry in the series. Some time is spent on the romance, but much less than any previous installment. Instead, RAPTURE focuses on answering questions and bringing the overall plot full circle.

Oddly enough, I have had a hard time connecting to Luce up to this point. But in RAPTURE, you see how the accumulation of all previous events have changed her as a person. I saw so much inner strength, intelligence and a strong determination in her that I do not remember witnessing before. I love who she has become, and I also love where the events in this book take her. Daniel has also developed into someone I admire in this final book. All minor characters get their chance to be part of the story, but I personally feel that book 3.5 (FALLEN IN LOVE) was meant to be their true final “hurrah”. Instead, this book is all about Luce and her story. (Oh, and not everyone will make it through to the end. So if you have any connection to individual characters, I guarantee that tears will be shed.)

The author describes her settings in gorgeous detail. We travel to places such as Venice and the Holy Lands. Each location is given the time and respect they deserve as integral parts of the story. And her writing style has certainly improved in this volume. Gone are many of the cliches and slang that occasionally plagued the previous installments. In fact, the writing style and story contained within RAPTURE reminds me of that in DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE by Laini Taylor. That is a huge compliment from me to Lauren Kate.

If you have been reading the series up to this point, there is much to be enjoyed with RAPTURE. THIS is the moment you have been waiting for. If you have not read any of the series, I encourage you to check it out today. RAPTURE beings a hugely satisfying and stellar ending to the FALLEN series.

(SIDE NOTE: Lauren Kate will be in my state later this month. If I did not already have a commitment on the day of her visit, RAPTURE is good enough that I would have made the 6 hour trek to see her. Instead, I am saddened that I will have to miss out…)

Plot: 10 (A satisfying end to the series. The best yet.)
Characters: 9 (This is Luce’s defining moment. Minor characters could have had more time.)
Setting: 10 (Each location receives the respect it deserves. History is weaved within the story.)
Pacing: 10 (From one location to another, the story is well-balanced and builds to a dramatic conclusion.)
Style: 9 (Lauren has upped her game in this installment. Little exposition in the beginning.)

I actually had to wait a couple of weeks for this book to be available. I was very excited to find out if Luce and Daniel would stop Lucifer from re-writing history. Honestly, the book started out a bit slowly, it seemed like it took 300 pages just to get through gathering all the relics.

During this time, the story was a bit slow, and honestly, I had a difficult time moving towards the end. I was glad that I made it to the final chapters, and learned how the story all began. There is a twist in the story that I will no reveal, but the symbolism, and the parallels to the biblical stories kept me turning pages.

The story finishes beautifully. I was so happy that I finished the series and saw the story all the way through. It was a great series overall and I really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed this book. I saw a lot of people were disappointed in it, but I felt that it stood up to the rest of the series. It was adventure and romance and mystery all rolled up into a paranormal drama. I cried at parts, and I was shocked when I finally clued into what was going on. But I did not find the end to be unsatisfactory or unbelievable, I think it made sense with what the characters had gone through and what they wanted.

I am a little confused, as a lot of people are saying it's the last book and I thought there was a fifth..but we shall see.

If you like Fallen Angel stories, or paranormal romance, or quest-type stories, you will love this book and this series. I'm now interested in reading others by this author.

I just want to start out by saying it took me awhile to read this book. But not because it wasn't good. It was because I just wasn't ready to say goodbye to the characters. For me that characters really make a book. If there isn't a single character that intrigues me while reading a book, I will get bored. The love story of Lucinda Price and Daniel Grigori will definitely stick with me. I have laughed with them. I have cried for them. And I have prayed for them.

Warning there will be slight spoilers from the previous books in the Fallen series, so if you haven't read them proceed with caution. That being said, Rapture is the fourth and final book in the Fallen series. It is the ending of Luce and Daniel's story. After several millenia of the angel Daniel, finding Luce and falling in love with her over and over again, only for Luce to die each time this is their final story. As I was reading this book, it really did feel like it was the end. Which I think is a very good thing for a series. There's nothing like finishing a series, and feeling like the author could write more. It makes for the reader to feel that the story was incomplete. I feel that with Rapture, the Fallen series was definitely completed.

Rapture picks up right where the third book Passion ended. The angels are trying to stop Lucifer from resetting time, and are on a journey to remember where the original "Fall" took place. From the beginning I enjoyed the pacing of this book. In fact this book didn't really feel like it was over 400 pages long. That's a good thing, because no likes a book to drag. Along the way there is bit of a reflection from the other books. There are mentions of Luce at Sword & Cross from the first book, and at Shoreline from the second book. It's very interesting to see the changes and character growth from each book.

But I must say it's the ending of this book that really got to me. I honestly think this ending was perfect. I love that the title of the last chapter of Rapture is the same title as the first chapter in the first book of the series, Fallen. In fact, through out all the books there has been a lot of foreshadowing. And loved how everything fell together in the end. I couldn't think of a better way to end this series.

This book follows the continuation of Luce and Daniel as they struggle to figure out how to break the curse which involves finding the relics to show the point of the fall, that along with Luce finding out who she is and what choice to make.

Along the way they team up with The Outcasts which surprises everyone as The Outcasts have not exactly gotten along with the Angels up till now. This book had so much going on, you got to see Luce really come into her own element and certain characters sacrifice everything for Luce and Daniel's mission.

I loved this series so much the up and downs the choices they had to make and their connection between each other. It was such a great read that anything I say won't match up to the awesomeness that Lauren Kate created. She is definitely a mastermind when it came to the Fallen series! Definitely one you could go back and re-read at any point without missing anything and the ending was so great I just loved it!

Luce comes back to Daniel every 17 years, but never for long. When the truth becomes too much for her, she dies, and Daniel is left to overcome it each time. This time around, though, is different. In their most recent life, Luce is able to learn more than she ever has before, but it comes with a price. This time, if Luce dies, she dies for good.

In PASSION, the previous installment of the Fallen series, Luce uses Announcers to jump through time. Desperately trying to uncover the truth about her relationship with Daniel, she is determined to finally find out why this all began in the first place. However, her past lives are not the only surprises revealed. Bill, her guide through time, turns out to be Lucifer, who wants his own revenge against Luce. And Luce cannot seem to figure out why. Which brings us to RAPTURE, the final book in the series.

Luce, Daniel and their angel companions have nine days to search the world for a way to stop Lucifer from recreating the Fall and rewriting history. Therefore, they must determine the exact location where the angels fell to earth so many millennia ago. The group breaks up to find three relics that will give them the key to do so, but it's not as easy as it sounds. The angels and Luce have no idea what or where the relics are --- only rough sketches that Daniel drew centuries ago. However, the relics are not the only things that Luce needs to find.

Luce worries about all the parts of her past lives that are missing, and the only way to break the curse lies within her. She must remember as far back as she can through her past lives to unlock the ultimate truth, but does she have what it takes? And what will happen when she realizes that she was meant to love someone else? That the curse has always been about her and only her? If everything else she has encountered hasn't killed her, this sure might.

Will Luce and Daniel be able to end the curse that has been haunting them for millennia? And will Luce finally remember all the memories she has lost along the way? Or will Lucifer get his way and defeat the love that spans throughout history?

When it comes to series, I am always so afraid that the last book is going to leave me asking a ton of questions. RAPTURE, however, left me speechless. I have never been happier with the ending of a book. I was worried about how the author would conclude everything, but she did it in such a way that could not have been more perfect. The love story between Luce and Daniel intensifies more so than I thought possible, and honestly the worst thing about this book is that it had to end. Turning the last page was bittersweet.

You surely will not want to put this book down, even through the wee hours of the morning, when you really should be getting to bed. It just might be better than your dreams, anyway. RAPTURE is a present that Lauren Kate wrapped up for all her fans to enjoy over and over again for decades upon decades to come.

First Sentence: First there was silence--
In the space between Heaven and the Fall, deep in the unknowable distance, there was a moment when the glorious hum of Heaven disappeared and was replaced by a silence so profound that Daniel's soul strained to make out any noise.

How I Acquired the Book: I got this book from the library, practically on its release date. Who needs the store Release Day shipping when you've got Library Free Release Day Delivery? (XD Just kidding, the store you're still awesome!)

The Review: The first three books of the Fallen series were horrendous.

Rapture is not.

In fact, it's amazing. It practically redeems the series, packing more surprises, action, love, loss, and romance into one novel than the other three combined. What made the first three so bad was that there was no plot, and terribly flat characters. The first three were all buildup, building up to something huge.

Rapture is that something huge. And, boy, does it have a plot! The world is about to end as Lucifer and his allies fall from Heaven, and Luce, Daniel, and all their friends must save the world. Luce is surprisingly strong in this volume. Gone is the Mary Sue we saw in the first three; this Luce is a fierce heroine and is better than ever. In Rapture, Luce and Daniel's love finally seems believable. And there is so much action. Every chapter ends on a cliffhanger. And Lauren Kate is not afraid to kill off characters. Just like the description promises, blood is shed and angel dust will appear.

Not only that, but this is a magnificent way to end a series. Ms. Kate decided to take the most shocking route possible, that ending that no one could have seen coming. You will try to predict the ending throughout Rapture. But I sincerely doubt that you will predict it. It makes us see Luce in a whole other light.

If you have not started the Fallen series, I don't recommend that you do so. You will probably be so disappointed with the first three that you will not want to go on, and I don't think you'd want to read an entire series just so you can read one book. But for those people like me, who never gave up the slight hope that the conclusion would be amazing, and kept on reading despite the horrible beginning, Rapture is a dream come true: Ms. Kate finally delivers, giving us a rapturous and enthralling finale that is well worth your time.

Get the box of tissues ready Luce and Daniel fans...you just might need them.

In this fitting conclusion to this four-book series, Kate takes readers on a rollercoaster ride, full with the ups and downs, twists and turns.

In their continued struggle for eternal love, Luce and Daniel must stop Lucifer from returning to the exact spot the angels fell; otherwise, the past will be erased. There are only two problems: they must discover this spot and survive a journey that could cost them everything.

Of the four in the series, this one is my favorite. I loved the unfolding of this story. In the other books I found Luce and Daniel to be the stars, as they should, but not in this final installment. It was not the characters that drove the story but the story itself. I could not put this book down because I wanted to know what reveal(s) Kate was going to give me next.

Several unanswered questions become crystal clear to readers, and I did not close the ending of this book feeling unsatisfied in any way.

Kate spends the first three novels setting readers up for all the reveals in this novel. While I loved it, I still feel that this series could have been accomplished in three books instead of four. Either way, I love Luce and Daniel. Their eternal love is something that many readers can root for because what is life without love?

What I love about Luce as a character is that I see her grow from book one to book four. There is no stagnation for her, and this happens sometimes in series. At the start of the series I was expecting the stereotypical female heroine in a paranormal romance, but it is Luce's fearlessness that seems to help her character crack the mold.

She wants to know the truth of her history, no matter the sacrifice. That really come to fruition in Passion, but in this final installment she finally discovers the truth of everything. As readers, we experience the same moment of enlightenment as she does, putting all of the pieces from the previous three books together. While I wish Kate had given a few more pieces to the puzzle in the other books, after reading this one, I see why she held out on us. It worked to her advantage, and to Luce's as well.

Daniel. Daniel. Daniel. What can I say about him as a character? He is loyal. His heart is full of love. He cannot bear to lose Luce one more time. His entire being is for her, to give himself fully to her. He is the key to Luce's truth, and what a secret keeper he is.

I enjoyed experiencing his unconditional love for Luce throughout each book, and this one was no exception. I do not consider him to be the "hottie" writers usually give readers in the paranormal romances, but his devotion to his lady warms my heart.

As a whole, I found the ending of this series quite fitting. I particularly enjoyed the Epilogue. It left a smile on my face and a tingle in my heart.

This book will appeal to those who love series reading and/or paranormal romance.

When I started reading this book I didn't realize it was the last book in the series. You can sense though that something has changed just from the cover. On all the other books the girl on the cover is wearing a black dress, but this time she is in white. Many changes are at hand. Luce and Daniel have returned through the Announcer but now they and the other six fallen angels and demons only have nine days to find the three relics and the site of the fall to rescue all the angels who were sucked into an announcer when Lucifer went back to the fall and caught them in the sky. If they are allowed to complete their nine day fall, history will be rewritten and they will no longer be who they are today and where they are today. Using the book Daniel wrote years ago that Gabbe had published, which Luce found in the Sword and Cross Library in the first book and showed her in another lifetime on the first page, the group breaks into three groups going to the three places where they believe the relics are held. Along the way they meet up with the Outcasts and form an alliance with them.

Luce and Daniel go to find the halo in Venice. Arriane, Annabel and Roland go to Vienna looking for the something called the desired thing which no one is clear about only that it is in a library. Meanwhile Cam, Gabbe and Molly go to Avignon looking for a chalice. Each of these items is said to be inscribed with the history of the angels and their fall and, if put together in the right place and the right circumstances, will tell them where they fell. Along the way they appreciate the help of the Outcasts, have to fight off the Scale who are angels who stayed with the Throne and think highly of themselves while being ruthless in their pursuit of justice, and also run in with the trans eternal elders again. None of the missions go smoothly, help is needed from all and great losses occur.

While on this journey Luce keeps getting flashes from the past. She can remember previous lifetimes unassisted and keeps circling closer and closer to the reason for the curse and the reason why the angels and demons are all there to help her and Daniel on this quest, but it stays out of reach for a very long time. I was relieved when the truth came out, when she faced it and when the consequences and reactions to all that had happened played out in the present.

This contains spoilers so if you haven't read Rapture don't read this review. First off, let me say that I really loved this series, but I am left wanting at the close of Rapture. I have so many questions that were never answered that are driving me crazy. I think if you are devoted enough to read all the books of a series that all your question should be answered by the time the series is done. Maybe someone can help answering some of my questions. Why was Trevor killed in the beginning? What did Cam's parting words mean about knowing his place and how he knows how to say goodbye? I hate how there is no closure at all for Cam. I would love to read a spin-off about him. I also hate how Gabbe and Molly end. I think there should have been more said about them. I don't like that Miles and Shelby were basically left out of this book. We got to know them so well in Fallen In Love and then almost nothing in Rapture. I think they should have been in more of the story. What is the significance of the coin tossing Lucifer was doing in the laundry room? What was the necklace he was wearing? The most confusing thing to me is at the end, the chapter heading said 17 years later, after Daniel and Luce were reborn, but she was a freshman in college and he was in at least his third year. Luce says she got her necklace on her 18th birthday, but it was only supposed to be 17 years after they were reborn. How is that? Where did her necklace go? How did her grandmother in the locket look just like Luce when that woman would have been alive before Luce was reborn 17 years earlier and had no relation to her then? See, so many question. If anyone has any answers, I would love to hear them. Overall, I really enjoyed this series. Even with all the nagging questions, it was still worth reading.

Honestly, I don't even know where to begin. This book really wrapped up the series, and it did it in a great way. There were a few things I didn't see coming, but also some I did. What I did really like about this book was how it jumped all around the world again. Yes, that happened in Passion, but this time Luce and Daniel were actually together.

I felt so much relief as Luce finally figured out her past lives and who she really was. It was such a fulfilling feeling to have everything come together and to get some honest-to-goodness answers. I felt like Luce, like finally knowing who she was just completed me. This book really makes you feel complete, whole, and gives great closure.

I was sad that there wasn't more Cam in this novel. He played a much bigger part in the first and second books, and I feel like he should've had more of a part in Luce finally discovering who she was. He was there, but I think he should've had a bigger part. There aren't many new characters in this book, with the exception of Dee, and she was a great character. She had such a huge role, but I don't want to tell you exactly how. Bill/Lucifer kept making appearances in Luce's memory. I liked how we were shown the kind of impact he had on Luce in the long run. His influence on her definitely made a difference to the way she acted in this book.

All in all, I'm sad that this series is over, but it was wrapped up very well. The ending was bittersweet, for sure. I wish that there was another way for it to end! Like the way it does in my head. But if I can't have that, I'm glad it ended the way it did. I won't be forgetting this series anytime soon. It will always hold a special place in my heart.

I received this book free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Music:

For the book Rapture (Fallen #4) by Lauren Kate I chose the song "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri. I know this song was originally for the Twilight movie, however, I felt this song fit the Fallen series better. Since first of all Edward was only in his hundreds, Daniel and Luce have been through multiple lifetimes over a 7 thousand years period, it seemed a better fit, don't you think? Haven't heard the song or want the lyrics? Follow the links: A Thousand Years Lyrics & A Thousand Years Video. The video I chose is the official lyrics video, not the one for the movie. I didn't want Edward and Bella ruining the flow so that's why I chose the lyrics video instead.

Review:

Reading the final book in a series is never easy for a couple reasons. The ending a lot of times can make it or break it for the entire series. I was a tad reluctant to start reading Rapture considering my opinion of the other 3.5 books in the series, which wasn't that great. As well as, wondering if Rapture was going to end in a completely cliche way.

In the previous book Passion when Luce went through the announcers to see into her past she went through some major psychological changes. She was trying to figure out who she was, what the curse was, and how the curse worked. The way she figured that out was by living through some of her past lives. In Rapture however, readers will be able to tell just how much Luce has grown throughout the books. She's not trying to figure out what and who Daniel is to her, like in Fallen. Then in Torment when she goes to a school and finds out just how much she doesn't know about herself, their past, or their future. During Passion she goes through her past and tries to gouge if her and Daniel were truly meant to be. Rapture contains no more self doubting, no more doubt at all about how much Daniel and Luce are made for each other, and no doubting that while she may not know what her part is during the final days, she knows that with her love she can conjure all. Although Luce went through major character changes throughout all of the books, it's extremely prominent in this book just how much she's grown as a character. She's a strong female character that many of us YA readers enjoy reading about.

There are a lot more swoon worthy moments in this story than others. Daniel and Luce have finally gotten over the uncertainty and during many parts during the book, they simply enjoy their time together. Being fully together for the first time with Luce finally realizing and knowing who she is after 7 thousand years together I think is one of the best parts of this story. And their love for one another only grows as the story goes on, if you can believe that.

Most of the main characters and some minor one's make appearances in this final book. As well as getting to meet some new characters. Even Annabelle, who if you've read Fallen in Love (Fallen #3.5) you'll know exactly who that is.

Rapture has many moments of just complete surprise. I have to say during most of Rapture I would stare at the words in surprise. So many aspects about this book were a surprise such as the extent of the curse, if Daniel was truly Luce's first and true love, what created the fall, and who Luce is. Rapture also contains all different kinds of new evils, that lay in waiting with every turn of the page. Rapture was nothing like I expected and I believe that's what made this book so amazing. I mean who wants to read a book where you're just going through and aren't surprised by anything that's happening at all? Hopefully nobody, because that is so completely boring.

Lauren Kate's Rapture will keep you guessing until the final pages, and even after. Luce and Daniels story is a story that will make anyone believe that true love can conjure anything, even Heaven and Hells wrath.

Oh and huge side note. I love all the covers in this series. The covers are honestly what drew me to start reading the series. I love the dresses, the models posses, and just everything. So amazing.

Favorite Quote: hehe gotta love Cam!!!

""I guess we've never flown that far together," she said at last.

"Just getting to first base seems to be a problem for you two," Cam couldn't resist saying."

The Sisters Say: A riveting end to the Daniel and Luce Saga

In Rapture, Daniel, Luce, and the other angels must stop Lucifer from erasing history. Lucifer plans on using an announcer to sweep all the angels from the infamous fall to the present, thus erasing Daniel and Luce's past.

I will admit, I was wary of reading Rapture because I did not enjoy Passion--death after death after death. But, I am glad that I put aside my judgments and went ahead and read the final installment in the Fallen series. While not as good as Fallen and Torment, Rapture was still interesting and it definitely (I mean DEFINITELY) surprised me! The twists and turns left me with a cartoonish O-shaped mouth. There were hints in the book (which I am guessing were put there on purpose) and I knew about halfway through what the twist was going to be, but still, looking back on the 3 books before this and I NEVER would have guessed that was how it was going to end. It was an amazing way to end the books, and you will not regret spending your money on this one.

There was so much more action in this book than in Passion, which is great, because the slowness of Passion is what made me wary of Rapture. But right from the first chapter, Luce and Daniel were in the midst of a war--everywhere they turned they were being chased. Two words to describe the action: Excitement and Intrigue. I was clipped from the present and thrust into Lauren Kate's world--flying along with Daniel and Luce.

Okay...so, why did I like this book as opposed to love it? The romance. Lauren Kate spent 3 books building up this epic romance, and all I wanted was to see that passion. But I didn't. There were kisses and hugs and slightly intimate moments, but there was no grand kiss that took my breath away or romantic scene that made me wish I could trade places with Luce. It was disappointing that the entire book focused on the war as opposed to the love that exists between Luce and Daniel.

As always with Lauren Kate, there were times when I breezed right over paragraphs and sometimes pages because it was just description after description. I like description when it builds the scene, but there is such thing as too much. I don't need to know the color of the moss on the buildings or a three paragraph description of the heat of a desert. If she would have cut out some of the superfluous description, the book would have been a much more readable 380ish pages as opposed to 430. And, I would have enjoyed those pages much more.

So....let me answer a few questions for you.

Am I glad I read it? Yes. The ending took me by surprise, and I am still in awe at how perfectly she melded the story.

Would I recommend it to others? If you are a fan of the Fallen series (even if Passion turned you off), you should definitely read this one!

Should I spend my money on it? Yes--even if it is only because the cover is gorgeous. I have an e-copy, but I am definitely going to purchase a hardcopy because of the cover.

Wow! What a perfect way to end a pretty awesome series!

Lauren Kate has taken me on quite a ride with her Fallen series, it started with Fallen, then Torment, Passion, and Rapture (with of course Fallen in Love on Valentines Day)

I have honestly loved this series since the first book so I had fairly high expectations for the final book in the series, and at first I will be honest, Rapture just wasn't grabbing my attention too much. I love Luce she is such an amazing character and if Cam wasn't in this series she would be my favorite.

In regards to Daniel... I think Monica over at Cover Analysis said it best on Twitter...

"I hated Daniel in Fallen ...I wanted to slap him in Torment ...He was stupid in Passion ...I am in love with him in Rapture <3"

I have never liked Daniel... he is just too nice... too sweet... and just too over perfect... seriously give me Cam and his arrogance and bad boy attitude any day ;)

But seriously by the end of Rapture I felt a little bit different towards Daniel... just a teeny tiny bit different. I realized that although Daniel is just too much of everything sugar and spice... he only did it because he truly does love Luce.

So throughout the series you always kinda knew that Luce was a little bit different, but I never expected her to be THIS different! I was totally thrown for a loop when that was revealed! And her connection to Lucifer? WOW! I was stunned!

Now that I really think about the book, I realize there was soo much I really liked about it, especially because for half the book I couldn't decide if I even liked it at all.

But Rapture truly brought the whole series together, it answered everything that needed to be answered... well except one little thing, what is UP with Cam? He helped save the day, and then he was just GONE! So I totally hope that Lauren Kate decides to write a spin off series because there is definitely more about that boy that we need to know!

If you haven't read this series yet, but you like angels and everlasting love... then you HAVE to read this series RIGHT NOW!

If you have read this series and are just waiting for Rapture to be released then please leave me a comment and tell me who your favorite character is so far in the series!

What can I say? Thank God this series has finally come to an end! It's been a particularly long journey that at times has been long suffering, and to be honest, a little boring in certain sections.
Alas, I did really enjoy Rapture. The novel was a perfect culmination of characters, revelations, and certain eventualities. I found myself turning the pages quite eagerly, desperate to know if good would triumph over evil, if deserted partnerships would rekindle, and if the forgotten would be remembered.
Rapture is the final tale in the Fallen Series, a condensed novel following what could be the last nine days of love and loss between Lucinda Price and the fallen angel, Daniel Grigori. We find ourselves locked in a treasure hunt for ancient relics, uncovering long lost prophecies, and understanding the true meaning of the 'Fall'.
Angels and outcasts band together to stop Lucifer yet again, but everyone has an agenda - one that shocked the hell out of me (pardon the pun). Lucinda is the center of it all, the reason for love, longing, and loss. She soon discovers that she could be the only person to stop history repeating itself and unlock the secrets of a past that could shape the fate of us all. There's also plenty of action to keep your heart pumping and enough smoldering looks and lip-locking to get the mushy teenager within to swoon.
However, despite moments of levity and tenderness, towards the end of this novel I started to feel particularly sad for Lucifer which took me by surprise. I wasn't expecting to sympathise with the devil, or even pray for him to have his own happy ending. I suspect that's what I liked about Lauren Kate's culmination to the series. Although all questions were answered, all loose ends neatly tied, I found myself wondering 'what if?', a sentiment I never expected after such a tidy end.
The writing as always is beautifully crafted - text lilted with much description and heavy subtext. The characters were honest and thorough in their delivery of action and speech. And, without creating a spoiler, I commend the author for making me well up at one point within the story. To be moved by words, is to be a truly gifted writer, it's just a shame that there was never quite a point of total immersion within the story for me, despite my desire to uncover the end.
I rate Rapture four out of five fangs.

What a fantastic conclusion to a (let's be honest) bit of a rocky series. If you're like me and have a love-hate relationship with the Fallen series, questioning whether or not to read the last book or finish the series in general, take my advice and just do it. Believe me, RAPTURE is SO worth it!

FALLEN, TORMENT, and PASSION are all good books, but in my opinion, they ran a little slow. The pacing just isn't something I normally enjoy, however, something about the series kept me reading. I wanted to know what would happen with Luce, Daniel, and Cam. I wanted to know all of Luce and Daniel's past lives and how it'll affect their future. Will they end up together? How will Cam play into this story? What about the others? And what is up with Lucifer?

I assure you that RAPTURE will answer all of these questions and so much more. The pacing is SO much better than Kate's other novels. There's action, suspense, romance, and the whole package. There were times I clutched the book, determined to find out what happens next. Nowadays, I find myself taking a week or so to finish a book. In this case, not so much. Y'all, I finished it in TWO DAYS. Seriously, I couldn't put it down. RAPTURE is a book that needs to be devoured.

Will everyone love it? Probably not. The ending is somewhat bittersweet and not packaged in a pretty pink bow. For me, that's a-okay. I personally don't like a too perfect ending. Do I wish the ending was different? Yes and no, but at the same time, I still found it to be beautiful in it's own way.

Overall, I really enjoyed this last installment in Kate's FALLEN series. I know I'm leaving a lot of details out of my review, but it's only because I don't want to ruin the book for anyone. Being the final book, it's difficult not to spill any spoilers, ya know? I will say this...

For all you romance fans out there, RAPTURE will not disappoint. It pulls your heart strings at the right moment and continues to do so till the very end. I'm smiling just thinking about it.

Review from SlicedOpenReviews(dot)com

There were so many things I was wanting out of RAPTURE. I hate final books in series, they are sad, I'm typically angry with the author for ending something so wonderful, thus I began reading RAPTURE anticipating the worst. Sounds bad I know, but there have been a couple series lately that have totally disappointed me in the end. So, Survey Says...

WINNER! Oh my, Lauren Kate totally gave me everything I wanted and then some. For starters, there are many times start reading a book and can begin to predict the end. It is not too often that by chapter 5ish I don't know what the end will be. Well, with RAPTURE I got to about that point and was like "oh yea I have this all figured out", well, I was wrong...WAY wrong! I love how things turned out, I love that I kept guessing and every couple pages BAM, I got proven wrong. *I am really glad too, because some of the theory's I came up with in my head were totally off the wall crazy!*

One thing I had to have out of this ending was the completion of one of the most epic love stories, Daniel and Luce. We have sat back and had the history of Daniel and Luce unfold with every page turn through the FALLEN series and when I cracked open RAPTURE I wasn't sure if it was going to be possible to give readers everything they needed. We needed to bring their past full circle while tying so many other story aspects together. I was a bit skeptical, to say the least, that everything would fit into this one book. Well, MIND BLOWN may be an understatement for how I felt when I finished. Daniel has held an air of mystery for me, while never fully absent from the story from me, he has always seemed a couple steps ahead. Well, I think I fell over myself while reading RAPTURE with this. He keeps that same persona to me, but when things come to a head near the end of the book, well, it was un-freaking-believable and I fell in love with him all over again. RAPTURE gave me some of the most vivid mental depictions of scenes in this series and I'm glad it happened in this book, being able to envision Daniel standing there at the end is an image I surely won't forget anytime soon.

How did it end...I can't tell you that, you should know that, but just let me tell you:

It's worth reading the whole series again.

It's worth the cold shoulder of Daniel in the very beginning.

It's worth the first time Daniel flips Luce off.

It's worth the tears and heartbreak of every life time between Daniel and Luce.

It's worth those moments where you wanted Luce to drop Daniel and run to Cam.

and then, its worth those moments you kicked yourself for thinking that!

It's worth all of that because the ending was so totally crazy freakishly spectacular that I must stop now before I blurt out everything that happens! GO READ and let me know what you thought of how it turns out.

How do you ruin a great story? You give it a bad ending. Up until that point, I loved the Fallen series and had high hopes for its climax. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed. First of all, the plot twist that Luce was a fallen angel the whole time ruined the forbidden romance between an angel and a human. Second of all, I felt that Daniel and Luce were robbed of a great first meet (it ended up going to Lucifer with whom Luce had love at first sight with and she only fell for Daniel because he consoled her WTF). And third, the only reason I kept reading is because I was waiting for the moment when Daniel and Luce would finally really be together (marriage, sex and Nephilim kids). But that never happened. And making Daniel human? Way to clip the wings of the hero! I had to force myself to give it a 2/5 stars because the only good thing to come out of this disappointment was that at least Daniel and Luce ended up together. Thank God Twilight got it right. I wouldn't change a thing about the story. It's perfect.

I had been eagerly awaiting this final book in the Fallen series and it did not disappoint me because it was full of everything I have come to expect from this fantastic series - romance, action, complications and so many difficult decisions!

I quickly fell back in to the story and couldn't put it down, this book now joins the many other books in my `one-day read' list.

Cam has always been one of my favourite characters in this series and that didn't change this time, he still had that confident charm that I love so much and part of me has always hoped that he might become something more to Luce.

As I was reading through this book there was a real feeling of urgency from everyone, complicated angel politics led to an exciting and tense race against time which had me on the edge of my seat.

Dee was an interesting character, I wasn't sure what to make of her but when her purpose was revealed I was actually quite surprised that I hadn't seen it coming.

Being the last book in the series I knew it would be dramatic but I wasn't prepared for some of the sad moments that occurred during the battle to save history, I didn't expect to find myself crying whilst reading this book but there were a couple of things that really pulled at my heart-strings.

It was good to finally get an explanation for everything and it wasn't anything I had predicted either which was refreshing.

The epilogue was brilliant but still held a touch of sadness for me, the only negative thing I would say is that I would have liked more of it!

An action-packed, emotional read that finished off the series beautifully.

4.5 stars.I really liked this one, might even say it's my favorite in the series because I finally get to know why Luce and Daniel have been cursed. The truth is so not what I expected, well at least some of it isn't and it is interesting indeed. I like the way the author weaved in the biblical aspects into the story plot as it works successfully with the entire series. In the previous book Luce went through the announcers to find a way to break the curse and she also learns about her past lives with Daniel and how each death was not necessarily triggered by whether they kissed or had physical contact or not. In this book, the true cause of her previous death's is revealed and quite enlightening. The plot is set around Luce, Daniel and the other Fallen angels racing to stop the Fall from happening again and locating the site within nine days before the clock is reset. In order for them to find the Fall site they must search for three relics that will guide them to their destination. So, many people are after Luce and are trying to stop her from succeeding at her task. The pace was steady as Luce begins to understand the role she plays in the curse and why she is the key to stop it. I have read each book in this series and though I'm sad to see it end, the ending was satisfying.

My thoughts...At long last, we have come to the end of Lucy and Daniel's journey. Rapture did not disappoint with action, intrigue, passion, and excitement to the end.

For fear of giving away anything from the series, I will be brief. The characters were well developed. Luce, who started as a rather immature girl in the beginning, proved to be a strong, inspiring, and dutiful in the end. Daniel did not shine as brightly as the others for me in the end. I felt his will and resolve to be shaky. Cam sparked new interest in my mind as did several others.

The story moved at a steady pace. I found myself trying to guess the chain events only to find myself surprised at the outcome. As for the end, let's just say I didn't see the that coming. Many readers predicted this ending, saw through rose colored glasses to Kate's genius. I however was so so entranced with the story, that I missed it all-together. I was not only surprised, but pleased with the ending. Well don Lauren Kate, well done.

It is hard for me to analyze just this book, as the pieces have come together as a whole in my mind. This speaks to Kate's world building ability. Her imagination entraps readers and leaves them captivated.

If you are new to the series, go back to the beginning because you won't want to miss one juicy morsel of this series. I hope to read more of Kate's work in the future. She creates a magical world.

In spite of having not read the prior books in the Fallen series, Lauren Kate has written a captivating story that engulfs the senses and pulls on your heart strings all within a magical world that can be thoroughly enjoyed by readers of all ages.
Lucifer has plans to erase everything history has accomplished, restoring it back to the time of the Fall and Luce has just returned with this grave knowledge. This is troublesome to both Luce and Daniel, as their love seems to be a chaotic twisted road that always seems filled will something horrific. This journey takes them on a mission to find the place where the fallen angels fell and prevent it from repeating or everything they know will be gone, including each other. This book is a pure fantasy action packed race for time from beginning to end. Will Luce and Daniel complete what is required of them or be one of the many who become the fallen? Can their love conquer all or will it be a thing of history?
This book was very enjoyable and actually a book my nine year old daughter reviewed. She liked it so much I figured I had to read it also and she was right, it was a splendid gem!

Background: Luce, Daniel, and the others are fighting the clock to prepare for their fight against Lucifer. It is only a matter of time before history is rewritten by Lucifer in hopes of making himself more powerful. All the while, Luce continues to uncover her past with the help of her friends.

Review: Um....wow... I actually was surprised by how this story concluded, which takes a lot. I cannot really say too much because I do not want to give anything about the story away, but let me tell you, there are twists! Lots of them! and they are super good. Lucinda come into her own very well in this book and the story FINALLY comes together and makes sense.
It did however take me a while to get into this one though. I was a little disappointed when book three ended, because I thought it was a trilogy and then it turned out there was going to be another book. When I began reading Rapture, I really wasn't into it. There seemed to be a lag for me, once I hit about the half way point, I flew through it and couldn't put it down.
If you recently read the other three and knew there was going to be a fourth book, I think that this will read very well for you. It picks up right where 3 leaves off, and immediately thrusts the reading into the drama and mission. Rapture is enchanting, astounding, and beautiful in its ending to this series.

I am going to be honest... I skipped almost the entire last half of the book and just read the last two to three chapters. I've tried for weeks to finish this book and just couldn't do it. Don't put yourself through it. It's the same old "poor me" from Luce and "I just want to love Daniel" Very boring and definitely not a page-turner..this whole series could've been 1-2 books but it just kept being drawn out. There's another review that'll give you the ending (I won't) but she saved me the torture of having to finish this book.

Really a 4.5 star read.

This book was so much better than the previous one. However in answering the big questions it added a bunch of other questions about the ending and epilogue.

I really enjoyed Luce in this one but Daniel tended to make want to slap him on occasion. While it's grand to want love to be everything and fix everything, reality shows us otherwise.

My other big thing with this book was that there wasn't enough on stage time for the other angels. Cam made comments about the past with Luce and she didn't even acknowledge what he said to her. That made it feel that the others were there just to make it pretty and that they weren't a true part of the story.

All in all this series surprised me. I really enjoyed it but it wasn't just one definable that made it enjoyable for me. I've had so many bad reads with angel bases books that I went into this series expecting nothing. Maybe because of that, I did enjoy this one because it all clicked and worked well with the mythology and the characterization.

I will begin by saying that I was never really a big fan of this series. I enjoyed book one, especially the ending, but books 2 and 3 were quite boring to me. Nothing really happened in either one.

But this book is the exception. I swear, this is the only book in the series (besides book 1) where things actually happen!!! It was like Lauren Kate was holding off on the plot in books 2 and 3 so she could save it for book 4.

Well, I really did enjoy this novel. Despite the series itself being okay, this book is one of my favorite final books of a series. It tied up all the knots nicely enough, and I was left feeling satisfied after I had finished.

The only complaint that I have is that I wanted to know how things ended for Cam. He was one of my favorite characters throughout the series, and his ending was left completely open. SO I'm hoping that maybe Lauren Kate will write some sort of spin-off series informing us of Cam's whereabouts and what he's up to.

All in all, great book, best of the series. I would definitely recommend reading it.

This is the last book in the series. I was so excited to be able to get this from
NetGalley. I wanted to read this right away but I waited until it came out before reviewing the book. Fallen in Love wasn't that great but it was okay. I always love this series, since the beginning. It's an amazing series. I wish it wasn't ending but it is.

The beginning starts right off from the third book ending. Which I love. Even though it was the beginning, there was still so much action going on. You will never get bored. I love Luce was in this book. She was a better character. Daniel is always the same, of course. I like Cam's personality. He seems like a cool guy to hang out with. I just love all the characters in this. LOVE THEM ALL.

Finding out about Daniel and Luce love is like riding a roller coaster. It's such a crazy journey. I wish I have their kind of love.

The ending wasn't satisfying as I was hoping to be, but i love the book anyways.

Overall, I love this series. It's probably one of my favorite series ever! I would love to reread Fallen again and all the other books. I might warn you that the first book has instant love in it. So if you don't like that, you might not enjoy the book so much. I would still recommend you reading this series though. I hope you guys will love the series like I do. This book is my favorite out of all the books in the Fallen series.

I haven't done reviews for any of Kate's books despite owning three books in this series, all of them autographed by her. Fallen and Torment have received mixed reviews, and I waited Rapture out before forming my opinion on the series.

Rapture is nothing like I've ever read this year.

The ending - I won't leave spoilers - was utterly beautiful and yet so despairingly sad. This book was wonderously crafted and even better than Passion. Kate has done a great job wrapping up the series and the relationship of Luce and Daniel. Almost everything you thought you knew about Luce from the previous books will be blown away by what you will read in Rapture - for Luce is much more than you think she is.

Rapture has, for a moment, turned my view on love upside down. Indeed it is a work of fiction, but if anything at all, the best thing you can take away after reading this series is this: Love never dies.

Brilliant job, Lauren Kate. I'm so glad to have met you in person that day in the bookstore.

First of all I am so glad I did not look at the review before hand or I would have missed out on a wonderful series. I'm so excited for the movie to come out.
In Rapture, Luce must learn where her place is, why she and Daniel have been cursed for so long, and what she can do to change it.
The group must find the artifacts that were placed around the world that when brought together will show them where the fall happened.
Stopping Lucifer before the angels fall to earth is the only way to change the curse.
The outcasts agree to join the group to find the relics and now must fight yet another group of demons even worse than the outcasts but it will be Luce that must fight the final battle and make the decision to end the eternity of battles even if that means letting Daniel go.
Will their love for each other be enough for them to find each other and finally have a life of true love or will they wander a lifetime looking.

I thought this was a terrific way to wrap up the series. Lauren kept us on our toes with many unforeseen developments and twists.

Luce, Daniel and the rest begin this final chapter in the FALLEN series going out in search of three ancient items that have record of the Fall in hopes of locating where the original Fall took place. If they can get there in time they hope to stop Lucifer from re-inventing them all and thus destroying the world as they know it. The group use Daniel's book to determine what three places to go to in search of the items. They separate into three groups and head off. While Luce and Daniel are obtaining what would look like a dish or halo they are encountered by the outcasts. It's hard for Luce at first but they become allies.
I will stop here as I don't want to give things away. Really good read with an unexpected ending.

BOOK FOUR OF THIS pseudo supernatural series of eternal love is arguably the best one yet. And that is as you would expect, given that this epic four part story all ends here. The obvious enemy to the Angels - and the world, as it turns out - was revealed at the end of book three. He has plans for world domination, as well as (more importantly) plans for the end to the romance between Luce and Daniel. The Cad.

And of course he must be stopped.

Enemies from preceding volumes have returned, some re-aligning themselves with the good guys, some staying neutral, and some retaining their old colours. Moreover, things have gone a little bit science fictioney in this volume, with seismic time shifts caused throughout the world every time Lucifer takes a step closer to his metaphorical destination. And new characters turn out to be so much more than they appear at first glance, which is a BRILLIANT way to keep the story going and keep the reader’s attention right to the very last page.

Alert readers may well have pre-conceived notions and theories as to how the story will turn out. I won’t declare mine here, as I will probably be so wrong and so far off the beat that it’s unintentionally funny. But the point is, after four books, I am still reading. I am still loving the action, the jokes, the fights, the battle scenes, the strong characterisation, and the plot twists.

But most importantly, i am still lovin’ the lovin’ on display between Lucinda and Daniel. I am worried for *his* future, as well, asking myself if a single act of plucking one of his divine feathers a metaphor for something much grander?

I guess I will have to keep reading to learn the truth. And so will you. I want to see the god guys (and their angels) beat the bad guys (and their angels) once more. And to see Big Bad Lucifer learn a lesson he won’t forget in a hurry. And it’s always good to see true love in action, anyway.

Four stars for the final volume of a consistently excellent and highly entertaining series.

I'm so sad it's over. With that being said I really don't know what to write..

Luce is back from the past bearing bad news. Lucifer is trying to rewrite history and it's up to Luce and a group of angels to stop him. On this journey Luce discovers herself. She figures out her role in this long drawn out story ending in the same way continuously.

The discriptions in this book of a certain person is amazing, I never would have pictured it that way. The places are great but I'm sad about the ending. Actually, the ending sends such a mixture of emoitions I can't tell you how you'll end up feeling.

These book were amazing and I hope she keeps writing. I can't wait to read her next project.

I am finally done with this series! It has been an odd journey, but Rapture is a pretty good, if annoying, conclusion to Luce and Daniel's epic romance. It picks right up where Passion left off, which means in a giant plot-hole. I tried to ignore it, but then they mentioned how time passed differently in the Announcers than in the present, so I couldn't ignore it. They still think they have nine days to stop Lucifer, even though those nine days are happening in the past, so they really only have a few hours, but they get their nine days to have a scavenger hunt. Yay.

Rapture is mainly a scavenger hunt. Daniel remembers that he did research on the Fall way back in the day, and now they have to track down these three relics, go to a predestined location, and all will be revealed. This part was okay. Daniel and Luce, of course, pair off together to go after one the relics and get it, while everyone else is having loads of trouble with their assignments. And enemies become friends because Daniel is awesome, and Luce finally remembers how they first met.

The only thing I really wanted to know at this point was how Luce and Daniel got together in the first place and why it's worth throwing the world into chaos. I had my theory and I was wrong. I totally did not see that coming, although it makes perfect sense (shocking!). I did have plenty of eye-rolling moments, because things do get quite melodramatic when Luce has to face off with someone from her past. It was like an episode of Divorce Court: stupid, yet oddly entertaining. Hooray for relationship drama.

The conclusion of Rapture left me torn. I normally do like this type of ending, but only when the events leading up to it make sense. There's still that issue of choosing between Heaven and Hell, but being Luce and Daniel, they can't just choose one. They have to go all special and out of the box and be ridiculous, because God hates love or something. Then the author screws up time again, because apparently someone can be conceived, born, and turn eighteen within seventeen years. And we don't even learn what happens with the balance. Who won?! God?! Lucifer?! Love?!

Like the rest of the series, Rapture was oddly addicting, but that doesn't really make it good. I suppose I liked it in a way, but mostly found it pretty ridiculous. While the romance has been the main focus, I still wanted to know how this whole war between Heaven and Hell would end, but apparently that is not important when Daniel and Luce's love is on the line. Again.

I had never heard about this series and just picked it up a month ago because the covers looked interesting, and I'm glad I was able to read everything back to back instead of having to wait and find out what happens next......I really do not do good with suspense lol. I give the book a "4" really for the whole series. I was instantly hooked and couldn't put any of the books down unless I forced myself to. With that being said:

****SPOILERS****SPOILERS****SPOILERS****

The whole story was beautiful and how "love is everything" and finding that one person can make all the difference. For them to have spent thousands of years repeatedly fighting for one another, then to be ripped of all of it, their momories, and love, to be made complete "mortals" meaning that when they meet again fall in love and pass away that is IT!! That is probably the sadest thing I have ever read.

For Luce to have discovered the truth.........ABOUT EVERYTHING and at the END of the book/series. Who she is, how long Luce and Daniel have loved eachother, what they had to go through to get to where they are, then rip it away AGAIN with another "choice" was just too much for me. I wish that after everything they went through and discovering the truth that they could still choose "LOVE" and be free to live forever and love forever as angel's with their angel, and mortal friends'. I guess I am used to all the "Disney fairytail" endings :(

Even still with all that being said mostly everything was answered for me with just a few questions, what happened to Cam!??! What about Luce's family, and her best friend?? Are they just to forget about her?? Did their memories get erased of everything they knew of her?? What about Miles and Shelby??

If I was asked if I would read these books again without a doubt I would say Yes, even though I know the ending upset me. I will just have to picture my own ending :)

This is a great series, one of the best I have read in a long time. Book 3 was my favorite but this one gave Passion a run for it's money. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because at this point I felt that Daniel's character was not as clearly defined as I would like and I got tired of him always crying when Lucinda did anything.

The author either visited all the locations she wrote about of did extensive research. The scenes jumped off the paper and made me fell like I was really there. I also enjoyed the writing style. It is young adult yes but, Lauren Kate did not shy away from using a vocabulary that had me looking up words every now and again.

I would recommend this series to a reader who enjoys romance, a bit of historical fiction and is fascinated with the fall of the angels. It is a perfect mix of the three.

Now that Luce has experienced some of her many past lives, she has a better, although still incomplete, understanding of what her situation is. But Lucifer wants to reset everything, which would be disastrous. Somehow, Luce is the key to stopping Lucifer but must find certain relics to do so. Strange alliances form to find these relics and figure out their significance with less than nine days before Lucifer's endgame is realized.

The writing is less than spectacular: "Then came the feeling of falling- a drop even his wings couldn't prevent, as if the Throne had attached moons to them." Besides the fact that it is bad writing, it is also just plain dumb.

Again: "Darkness everywhere, so complete in its doom it made light and love and everything good in the world feel tired and broken and dead." Dumb and dumb and dumb and... Well, you get the point.

But here is my favorite: "Every life, every love, every moment that every mortal and angelic soul had ever experienced would be balled up and discarded at Lucifer's reckless whim, like the universe was a board game and he was a whining child giving up when he began to lose." Gag! Kate must be in a contest to see how many bad lines an author can include in a book and still get outstanding reviews. I have to say, it is quite distracting.

<spoiler>Then there is the moment when Daniel reveals that Cam's heart was broken. Well of course Luce wants to know who broke his heart, but she's tired... Really? It would only take a minute for Daniel to cough up a name. Luce can't stay awake for one more minute? That little bit of information would not wake her right up? Of course it would. If you want to spark some interest, maybe it could be a little more believable. A teenage girl about to find out who broke someone's heart but falls asleep right before she finds out and then totally forgets about it... not even remotely believable. But of course Kate has to get in that one unanswered question to launch a spinoff series. Obviously I'm the only one who feels so negatively about this because the book received four and a half stars.<spoiler>

I guess now would be a good time to comment on what I liked about the book. While the execution is lacking, it is a decent love story. I am really into the whole fallen angels theme an even though this is most definitely a love story, Kate gets a little credit for the angels. The reader gets a lot more insight into the whole reason for the Fall but the story is dumb. I do not take issue with the most prominent reason in the story, but the details could have been better.

Bottom line, with Rapture and its predecessors, Lauren Kate missed many opportunities to make the series great. In addition, while she is nowhere near the same level as Philippa Gregory, I think Kate suffers from the same malady- with success comes laziness. Kate achieved such sensation with Fallen, Torment and Passion, she got lazy, knowing it did not matter because Rapture would still be a huge hit even if the quality was lacking. And it is.

2 out of 5 stars.

Heaven can’t wait any longer? Neither can I!! Hallelujah this series is finally at an END!!! It took me so long to get through this book!!! I know all I had to do was listen to it but by this point, I just don’t care anymore. The Authors lousy writing, has totally lost my interest. It is no longer any fun, ripping these books apart. I mean how many times can you say that the Author’s writing sucks, the Plot sucks, the story line is complete horse manure, the characters are so crappy they are not worth the pages they are written on and the Narrator (throws hands up in the air in defeat), please don’t get me started with her. I actually turned down a free audio book just so I wouldn’t have to listen to her voice anymore!!

The Last Recap: Luce and Daniel meet every 17 years for just a few days or hours, fall in love and Luce dies. This has been happening for over 7,000 years, until now. Why now, why is this re-incarnated Luce different; she was never been baptized and is able to make her own religious choice. So, she finds Daniel and falls in love. Daniel tries to keep Luce ignorant and safe this whole time, so they can try and beat the curse. When she re-lives her past lives with Bill (aka Satan), she learns that Lucifer plans to go back to the beginning of the Fall and collect all the Fallen Angels and force them to choose between him or the throne. That means he will wipe out the last 7,000 years of existence for all the Fallen and Humans.

The last installment of this series takes Luce, Daniel and the rest of the Fallen Angels on the hunt for three items that will point the way to the original site of the Fallen. Once at the site original site they will be able to stop Lucifer from wiping out the last 7,000 years of history. The book is extremely fast past and jumps from scene to scene. This is the book that the people that should have died don’t and people that should not have died did (very annoying). Also the book was not totally resolved. There are a lot of loose ends (please don’t make a spin off series!!!!) and many questions still unanswered. Good news is the climax was a HUGE disappointment! Luce and Daniel finally got together. Happily ever after, blah blah blah!!

The Narrator of the book is Justine Eyre. I will be so happy never to hear another book by her.

The most enjoyable part about this book is that the series is OVER.

P.S. I still love the book covers!!!

I am so in love with this book-with the entire series, really! The first book in the series, Fallen, was recommended to me by a very dear friend, so I knew I had to pick it up right away. It was one of those rare books that I have come back to time and again to visit these characters and their stories with the feeling that I am spending time with old friends. I had the honor of meeting Lauren Kate when she was touring to promote Torment in October 2010 and I told her that her books were up there with the Harry Potter series and Twilight Saga books for me. Yes, I love them THAT much. I guess I should inform you, in case you don't know me very well, that the Harry Potter series and The Twilight Saga books are my all time favorite series and i will never tire of re-reading them or listening to the audio books for them. I read a lot of books and I love a lot of books, but there are very few books that I take the time to re-read over and over again because I have made a connection with them for whatever reason.

I fell in love with Luce, Daniel, Cam, and the gang in Fallen. I love how each of them grew and changed in their own ways throughout the series. Torment was frustrating at times, and hard to get through since Daniel was absent for much of the book. Passion was my favorite up until Rapture, because I felt like I was accompanying Luce on her journey of discovery and finding herself and learning about her love for and with Daniel. In Rapture, Lauren takes it to a whole new level, though. I do strongly recommend you read the other books before this one, including Fallen in Love, or you will be completely lost and totally missing out on some awesome stories. The series starts with Fallen, followed by Torment, then Passion, Fallen in Love (book of short love stories), and finally Rapture.

Rapture picks up where Passion left off, but as I said I would read Fallen in Love right before Rapture, for the best flow of the storyline. Lauren has this way of writing that captivates me and I get completely lost in Luce's world. It is almost as if I become a part of this world--don't you just LOVE books that do that (and authors that are able to write amazingly awesome books that can make their readers feel this way)?!

We see our old friends, meet some new friends, find out who the true enemies are and more in this story. Luce and friends are in a battle against time to find the place where the angels fell to the earth, before Lucifer erases the past. Talk about pressure, huh?! Luce truly comes into her own in this book. I was proud of how she matured throughout the series. She really embraced her fate and was finally able to discover who she was and the pieces of her past started falling into place.

I will warn you, though, Lauren pulled out all the stops on this one. There is a war going on, and there are some violent parts, and sadly, we have to say goodbye to some of our beloved friends **tears**. I admit to going through a full range of emotions while reading this book (happy, sad, bawling, laughing, happy tears, rolling on the floor laughing, cringing...you get the picture). I admit that I cried through many parts of this book and had my jaw literally drop to the floor at a few others. Lots of twists and turns and some stuff I totally did not see coming!!!

I would give this book 10 trees if I could, I loved it THAT much! Such a perfect ending to this series that I love (so hard to see it end). The great thing about books, though, is that you can read them again and again-sort of like visiting an old friend. Loved this book SO SO much and I cannot wait to start the series over from the beginning and read it all the way to the end over and over again. You have to read these books!!! - Tammy

I've read all the books in this series. Fallen is very good, Torment is a bit slow, Passion was the best, and this one was a bit disappointing...

I loved it from the beginning. It started off really nice. It was exciting, fun, and really nice to read. But then towards the end, it took a sudden nosedive.

Here are some of the problems...

Luce and Lucifer love drama. Maybe I was being ditzy, but I didn't see the whole Lucifer and Lucinda thing coming...haha. I guess because it is so stupid that I couldn't accept that it was going to happen. :)

What else?

The way Daniel and Lucinda first met was disappointing. Come on! Was that it?? That was the beginning to their looooooong and so traaaaagic love story?? Pleeease.

More?

I didn't like that she was an angel either. Nah-ah! It was more fun when she was mortal and he was the angel.

Even more?

I especially did not like that they were both mortals in the end!!! Ewww! Why would the author do this?? I really really hated that part!!! They lived through all those lifetimes to have that crappy finale??

And what was the deal with Cam? He had such a big part in book 1; then he just sort of faded into the background. In this book, I don't even know what was up with him. Where the hell did he go??

The final straw?

We still didn't get all the answers!!!

Well, aside from ALL of that, it was a good book. The first half was awesome. Wish she hadn't ruined the second part though. Oh well...

Let me just say that this is by far the best book in the series. I haven't been a huge Fallen fan, but I kept picking up the books for some reason. I guess I was curious about what happened to Luce, even though she is the most boring protagonist of all time. I also hate Daniel because he is so boring. However, the plot of Rapture is enough to draw you in and keep you interested. The first half of the book is a bit slow moving, like all of Kate's novels, but after I passed the 50% mark, I could not put the book down. The book didn't end how I wanted it to exactly, but this ending didn't leave me feeling extremely angry for days like Bloodrose did. All in all, I'd recommend the series to people who like angel stories, and this book is a must read for anyone who's read the previous three books.

The cover to this book is gorgeous, obvious, but the writing/dialogue/love story is a complete cheese fest, which has come to be expected from the Fallen series. Other things that I've come to expect from this series and just make myself look over are: Luce is weak, stupid, and co-dependent. Daniel is boring, vague, and annoying. Cam is amazing as usual, but he isn't in the story that much, unfortunately. That really disappointed me some. He is the only character that actually interested me throughout this entire series, and I've been team Cam from the start.

The characters didn't develop a lot (big shocker), but at least the ending surprised me. I mean I knew how it would end as far as who Luce would end up with (I think we all do), but I didn't know how it would happen. Kate surprised me with how everything ended up working out. Honestly, the Epilogue was probably my favorite part of the entire novel.

The plot is pretty slow-moving and boring for the first half. Things pick up around the halfway point, and it's pretty intense reading until the very end. The pacing picked up as well, and I couldn't put the book down until I saw what happened to everyone. The dialogue was as over-dramatic and hokey as ever. The pseudo-Shakespearean (that's what I call the whole... "I wanted to do this, for I was distraught" type BS) writing style was, of course, ever-present and plagued me throughout the entire novel (See, I can be dramatic too!). However, the book was not a complete disaster. I finished it feeling like, "wow, that wasn't half bad." That's a big improvement over how I felt about the other books in the series.

Overall, I'd recommend this book to people who have read the Fallen series. It's a must-read for any Lauren Kate fan. This is the best book in the series, and it's worth the slow-moving beginning to see how things finally end.

Lauren Kate has written a stunning conclusion to the Fallen series. When I picked up the book, I was super excited to finally learn the truth behind the Fall and how it relates to Luce and Daniel's love. At the same time, I was--and still am--sad to see the series conclude. I love the series and the characters, and I do not want to say goodbye to them.

Luce and Daniel are as sweet a couple as ever. I love their boundless devotion towards one another, how they seem to be made for one another. Their relationship is legendary among angels, and it has become a legend in YA lit. It's a beautiful, unrivaled love. My favorite kickass characters also return, from Arriane to Gabe and Cam. Unfortunately, they don't play as big a role as in book one, after which the series has mainly focused on Luce and Daniel (with the exception of Torment, where Daniel was missing for quite a good portion). To my surprise, I also ended up sympathizing with Lucifer after learning more about his past; while I still believe that he's too arrogant and self-absorbed, I feel (a bit) sorry for him.

Near the middle, I began to suspect the truth behind the beginning of Luce and Daniel's love, and I imagined that Luce was more special than she thought she was. However, I didn't expect the full extent to which Luce is involved in the conflict between Heaven and Hell. She is one amazing girl and just as glorious as Daniel always says she is. Learning about the beginning of their love has confirmed for me that the two belong together.

While things become a little convenient with Luce regaining more of her memories, the team suffers its losses. I was sad to see some characters go. Even a part of Luce and Daniel, for they must make sacrifices for their love. Sacrifices that pale before the power of their love, but which are great nonetheless. The characters go through much difficulty (comparable to hell) trying to find a way to stop Lucifer before he succeeds in rewriting history.

Rapture is not a book to read for the battles or the action. There is tension in the story, but it pretty much all comes from character relationships, not between enemy groups. Any external conflict there is wraps up cleanly. This is a book about self-discovery, and it draws its power from within the characters. The ending is beautiful yet bittersweet. The story could have worked without the epilogue; however, I enjoyed seeing what happens after the big battle.

Rapture picks up right after Passion, with Daniel, Luce and the rest of the gang planning to find the place where the angels first fell on Earth so they can stop Lucifer but in order to do that, they need to collect three artifacts that'll be used in a blood ritual to reveal the place of the Fall. This hunt leads Daniel and Luce to Venice where they believe they'd find one of the artifacts, while the others go looking for the rest.

"I want you to know that I would do it all again. I will choose you every time."

I've been a faithful follower of this series right from the very beginning, so I'm definitely biased.
In Fallen, it was the whole 'forbidden love' that first sucked me into the series, Torment gave me some answers and Passion gave me Luce and Daniel's past, which is pretty much a swoon-worthy, Romeo-and-Juliet sort of epic romance.
Rapture, had me feeling bitter-sweet when I finished reading it because although it didn't live up to my expectations, this was the end. I just needed to see Luce and Daniel get their happy ending and Lauren Kate concluded this series perfectly. Yes, it was predictable but I would've hated if it had ended any other way.

I've never really been a big fan of Luce because she's probably the only person who's worse than Bella. However, over the years, I've gotten really attached to all the characters, despite their flaws. I'm completely in love with Cam and I adore Molly and Gabbe. They're pretty much the reason I held on to this series for years so I was frankly, disappointed with the direction Lauren Kate took their characters in Rapture. Also, Cam should've played a bigger part in this book and series overall, he was barely mentioned in Rapture. The love-triangle that we were led to believe existed in the first book has become pretty much non-existent by the last, which kind of sucks.

Having said that, yes, Rapture fell a little short but it still holds a special place in me because Daniel and Luce finally get their happily ever after. I'd love to see a spin-off series based on Cam or even Lucifer, who after reading this book, actually seems kind of cool.

If you're new to the Fallen series, I'd say give this a shot because you just might end up loving it.

Wow! This book was wonderful! Learning about Luce's true self was surprising! I did not see that coming! The end was wonderful! I wish there was another series with Luce and Daniel continuing from where they first fell in love for the last time! This book is amazing! A wonderful ending to the series! If you haven't read this series this year, it must be at the top of your list! A wonderful and fantastic read! Fantastic!

I just read this book and its in December. I didnt read this book when it came out because i didnt want this series to end. And i really didnt want Luce and Daniel to end. How do i feel about this book? Its great but on some parts it was predictable and some it took me by such suprise i about screamed. I wanted more of Cam. Cam. Cam. But he went along his way. The end of this book really... got me. I didnt expect them to be reincarnated as humans.. Luce gave up her wings before she barely got them. But then she gave up alot to be with Daniel. I dont undedstand some parts. Some are more clear than others. They dont get to love forever or live forever or have EACH OTHER forever like most books i read and that are written. Thats what makes this BETTER. They get to love like the humans they always envied for having a normal realtionship. They will grow up and have kids. They will grow old and have grandchidren. They will die and go to heaven. Something that was not offered before. I just wanted to share that. I wantsd to share why i thought this book was so diffrent from Twilight or any of the other books when one chadacter was immortal and the other human. They both get to love. And thats all they wanted. They never wanted fo love forever. Just love.

A great final book in the series. I enjoyed the journey that they took to get to where they end up. The characters in the story are loveable and after the four books I feel like I know them well. Love conquers all and after the many millennia that Daniel and Luce spend in their curse it is nice to see love win out. I enjoyed the unpredictable moments in the story and even though some parts were more predictable they were still enjoyable. A little sad to see the end of the story. I give this book a 4.5 star rating

Not quite as bad as I expected. I'm disappointed, though. Let me tell you why.

If you're given this awesome pitch about this love that transcends time and space, that has happened over and over again and fallen apart the same way, wouldn't you be interested? I know the sappy romantic me would be. I'd heard about Fallen and its bad ratings before I read it, but there was that doubt in my mind. How bad could it be? With a plot like that...

After I read the first and second books, I got my answer.

Really, REALLY bad.

It's just... I began these books expecting this beautiful love that would make me cry, that would make me hold onto Daniel and Luce and never want them to go and always want them together and want to buy some Superglue so I could just stick them together forever.

Instead, I got a useless wimp and an emasculated, chauvinistic (how oxymoronic!) idiot.

So you can see how I'd be disappointed.

I think this could contend with Romeo & Juliet over Most Tragic Love Story That Actually Sucks.

Now, let's bring ourselves away from the series and focus on Rapture specifically.

It was actually halfway decent. I was surprised that Kate managed to tie up the loose ends that she apparently couldn't do in the third book. The third book was basically mindless fluff. I loved the time traveling, but it was pointless and didn't do anything else except further give examples of Daniel's and Luce's baseless love.

Anyway, there is stuff that happens. Angels die and there's this huge climactic moment (which isn't that climactic, really. We were all expecting it), and also a couple "big" reveals. You might be surprised, you might not. Kate has really amped up the description. I mean, she's never been that bad at it, but I really noticed it in this book. I actually quite enjoyed it, except for the parts where it got all weepy and melodramatic. I never really liked Dee. She just seemed a bit too deux ex machina for my tastes, and her dialogue was really awkward. I guess she was supposed to be a wise old owl among the little winged birdies, but she just sounded like she was pulling shit out of her ass.

I guess where this book really fails is the characterization part. Luce is as useless as ever, and I found her general limp noodle-ness, as well as her whole caring about others as an obvious attempt to cull readers' sympathy, extremely grating on the nerves.

Daniel, of course, it as emasculated as ever. He doesn't do anything besides fluttering around and going "Shh" whenever Luce tries to ask a question. I just don't understand why it took so long for her to figure out the truth about herself. Sure, in her past lives, she wasn't allowed, but why couldn't she know in her human one? This self-awareness thing sounds really phony to me.

Lucifer is... I don't even. Kate manages to make him sound not like the lonely, complex figure from Paradise Lost, but rather a really arrogant and hateful teenage boy. He actually says things like "Baby, that's your Achilles' heel."

What kind of evil mastermind calls people "baby"?! Or maybe they do, but they sound really sleazy and laughable in the process.

So, there's Lucifer. Then there's God. Or should I say GodDESS.

That's right. God is a woman. Kate is really having fun with this, isn't she? First Gabbe, and now God, of all people.

Let me be honest. I don't think anyone should try to portray God in a book. I'm not Christian or religious or anything, but I just find it difficult to be able to use the right words to capture the inspiration of so many religions of the world. Most authors will mess it up, and that's what happened here. Maybe it was an attempt to buoy the feminists, or she was just trying to twist things a bit, but it did nothing, especially since God didn't seem that frightening or like someone who created the universe. It just... didn't make sense. Also, there were these fluctuations in capitalization. Like sometimes God would be called You, then other times just "she" or "you." So the religious/angelology/demonology part of this book is still called into question. I guess my gif doesn't have much oomph now, if God is really the person who's portrayed in this book.

The ending was blah. It's been done before. If you've read Reincarnation by Suzanne Weyn, you'd know what I'm talking about. Astonishing conclusion my ass. I care about Cam, too. What the hell happened to him? At least he had some spice to him. He appeared approximately two times before being overshadowed by Daniel again.

Ugh, Daniel. You ruin everything.

Anyhow. This series is finally over. Hopefully, Kate has learned some things, and her next works will reflect this newly acquired knowledge.

Now to wait for the Hush, Hush series to finally be finished as well...

I finished read every book in the series (including fallen in love) and it was the best book series I've ever read it was even better than harry potter and the hunger games. Rapture is my absolute favourite out of the whole fallen series. It takes you into a world you thought never existed but this book is so well written you think that you are Luce and your on the same journey that she is on. If you're like me and you like romantic books then you will be in for a treat. The while book from front to back is romantic and it makes me wish that I had love like Luce and Daniel do. I recommend this book to everyone. If I ever meet Lauren Kate I will ask her a million questions on this book and show her how much I love her and her books.

She has put hope in peoples heart that everyone can find a true love that will love them for who they are on the inside.

I finished reading Rapture tonight and my first reaction is "why did Lauren Kate end this story like this?" Fallen and Torment were good, Passion was just meh (I found myself skimming over much of the descriptions of Luce's past lives...it got really boring and redundant after while) and then when Luce's true nature is revealed at the end of Rapture, I thought, finally! NOW we know! And then...

...the ending. OH SO DISAPPOINTED!! Are you kidding me? You end it LIKE THAT??? I feel like I wasted my time reading about these characters, getting involved in their lives, feeling something for them. I feel ripped off.

I'm giving it two stars - up until the last 10-15 pages, I would have given it five stars, because the rest of the book was that good, but that ending killed it for me.

I absolutely loved the Fallen series. The first book was the perfect hook into a beautiful love story about Luce and Daniel, and this book ended the series with a suprising twist. I thought it was amazing and perfectly written, but a few things about it really annoyed me. First, I do not think that Cam was written about enough in this book. There was a lot left unsaid about him, because in the book they kept talking about a woman that broke Cam's heart, but the author never reveals who this person was and it really bothered me. Second, Lauren Kate doesn't exactly explain how Luce and Daniel meet when they're mortal. She gives one hint as to how it could be God's work, but I wasn't sure. Third, how on earth did Luce just become an angel again? Personally, I think that it was extremely random and a bit chessy.
Overall, I loved this series and this book. I am hoping that Fallen in Love, which I haven't read yet, will answer some of my questions. Definitely worth it. BUY BUY BUY

Rapture is the fourth and final book of the Fallen series by Lauren Kate. If you're looking for a book then this is the one for you! From the very first time I started reading the series until the end I knew I was already going to love it. Especially RAPTURE! Words can not describe how in love I was while reading this book. I literally could not put the book down when I first started reading it and ended up getting through twelve chapters my first night. If you're the type of reader who likes romance, adventure, and a GREAT storyline then buy this book. You will not be disappointed. Of course, make sure to read the first book in the series before you get to this one ^_^

I chosen 5 stars because I was really interested on how every thing was going to untangle its self in to one great book. I really enjoyed the book. If you were to look for a book for sleep, this book is a sleep deprived book. I fell in love with every single character in the book .I was so upset when gabbe died . I recommend this book for people who like Harry potter books and twilight saga .you will love Daniel and Lucinda ,cam,Roland, and the rest of the characters.

This is their journey to rewrite the fall and prevent Lucifer from taking over the world.

It is long and hard an they lose many people along the way.

Luce finally remembers she was an angel as well.

They get their HEA. They will get the chance I live and find one another but they will become mortal.

So I am not really sure how I feel about this book. There were moments I truly loved and then there were moments when I was extremely bored. The story-line took a little while to get going, and some of it got very repetitive. However, it was nice to see the characters get closure.

Let's start with what I didn't like so we can end on a happy note. I felt the story was a bit predictable. A lot of what I guessed would happen did happen, and I felt these events were supposed to be shockers. I was not shocked, it was more of an "okay I figured that."

I also did not like how repetitive it got. Luce tries to remember, almost remembers, and then doesn't remember. It was very circular. Do not fear, you will get your answers, but Luce will tease you a million times before you actually do. Also, the book was a bit slow in the beginning. It took a little while to get to the main action, and that always bothers me, especially in a series conclusion. Maybe it's just me, but when you get to the last book in a series I feel like you should be jumping into the action quicker because this is it; it is what all the books have been leading up to.

Okay, now that my rambling is out of the way, on to what I liked. Luce showed a lot of character growth in this book. She wasn't just the whiny scared girl of past books, but someone who was finally willing to take action. She was a much stronger heroine, and that is always something I enjoy. She starts to do things because Daniel needs her and not because she needs him.

Now, I absolutely ADORED the last two chapters. They were the perfect way to end the series. I loved everything about them, even the bittersweet moments. I don't want to give too much away, but I do not think fans of the series will be disappointed. Lauren Kate ends the series off perfectly and in an incredibly sweet manner.

Overall, I would say that I enjoyed the book, but it is not one of my favorites. People who enjoy angel-lore will probably like it, but there are better angel books out there. So if you are looking for an angel fix, pick this up. If you are looking to break into the angel segment of the paranormal genre, go for Hush Hush or The Mortal Instruments.

This is one series where I'm defanitly pleased with the ending. While they do end up together, they also end up together in a unique way. It gives the book an edge. There were certain scenes that took my breath away. This is why I would defanitly love to read this series again. The author also has such a powerful voice that really reaches the reader. I felt like I was apart of the book and knew the characters. Yet, Lauren Kate was still able to surprise me every chapter and add constant plot twists. Overall, it's a book that will transform you to a new world.

Sooooo. Rapture, the final book in the Fallen series. The story is over. Okay, it felt a bit sad that it's over but i don't think i would handle another book with Luce and Daniel. They are the most boring and shallow fictional couple I've read about. This book was definitely better than Passion. More into the point, more action-packed and less repetitive. Here we go! Don't worry about spoiling, I have placed spoiler alerts.
The book starts off slow for my taste. Like, really slow. The first half of the book was a struggle. Yes, it had some interesting moments but it got tiring. The action was what I was expecting. I kept hearing about a war, but sadly I never saw it. The book failed when it came to suspense, at least for me. The most captivating scenes were when the Scale attacked in Vienna. Other than that, there was no much action.
The writing was good, even though Lauren Kate overdid it with some of the descriptions. They were too long to read. I skipped some parts because i was ready to fall asleep. I also didn't like how some information we already knew kept being repeated as if Kate was afraid we had forgotten about it. Okay, we know about Lucifer/Bill or whatever. We know what he did in Passion. We don't have to read about it in every two chapters in this book. Instead of repeating something we know, why don't you give us some new info about something we have been wondering since the beginning of the series? (Like, how did Trevor die? Who was responsible? Why this part was skipped as if it wasn't important? The whole story began because of this incident.)

The characters. Oh, you know how i feel about Luce and her angel boy, Daniel. They bored me before and unfortunately they bored me now.Like other readers say, they are interesting only when the side characters are around. If it had been Passion all over again I don't know what I would have done. Whenever they were alone I was looking forward to end the chapter because the cheesiness was too much for me. However, there are some improvements. Surprise, surprise!
Luce wasn't as irritating as she was in Torment and Passion. If she had been i would have burned all 4 books She kept being her usual stupid self by not using her brain, though. Less annoying yes, smarter no. I laughed my ass off when she tried to attack Dee because she confused her with Miss Sophia. It was hilarious to see her try to look fierce! She saw no one else was attacking her, didn't she think this was weird? She totally made a fool of herself, again. We have the usual contemplation about her tragic, deep, amazing, everlasting love with Daniel and what would happen if they failed to save it. Yawn. I can't read how perfect they are for each other anymore. I don't care! She keeps obsessing over him in every chapter, calling him her everything, her sun her moon her stars her universe. Way to go, she defines herself through Daniel. Because if Daniel hadn't existed, she wouldn't have existed as well.

Then, as the story progresses Kate tries to make her strong and badass but the attempt fell short. Not because I despise her, but come on! .Luce is not the heroine who would suddenly become a different person with much more confidence. It's just DOESN'T feel all right. Not after three books of nagging, obsession and being a giant idiot. Kate tried to shove her down our throats as the savior. In the end everybody was praising Luce, even Lucifer himself! For me, she did nothing. Daniel was the one who guided her. Daniel was the one who was telling her what to do. Dee contributed to that as well. On her own she's incapable of doing anything.

Daniel is plain boring and a douche. I hated it when he saw the dead janitor in the museum and his reaction was casual as if this man's life didn't matter at all. Really? You're an angel, you are supposed to feel pain when an innocent soul perishes. Oh, wait you only feel pain when something happens to Luce. The swift change from controlling, possessive jerk to the dreamy boyfriend was quite good. But again, I have the same problem as I had with Luce's sudden courageous heart. He flattered her so many times that I actually believed he was mocking her. You're a genius, you're so brave, you're this, you're that blah blah blah. Are you for real? And yes, i know it's YA but teenage love cannot be so cheesy. I refuse to believe that. It's all on the surface with Luce and Daniel. Hear love, see no love. Especially epic, eternal love that surpasses everything. I didn't see the passion, the fire, the deep need to be with each other. The entire book is focused on the war, not on their "love". Maybe that's the problem. Jeez, Twilight was sexier than this. Kate could at least have given one sex scene to show how much they yearn each other.
The rest of the characters don't have a big role in the book. I wanted to see more of Cam who is always great but again he had a supporting role. I must say I was gutted when Gabbe and Molly died. I wanted to know more about them.

As for the story, i liked the places they visited, as i mentioned above the scenes with the Scale were the best, especially the killing part. Unfortunately they were the only villains in the book. Miss Sophia is by far the most ridiculous villain I've ever seen. The scene in the church was quite intriguing but she was so utterly idiotic I couldn't take it seriously. Thus, i believe the presence of all the characters was not needed, she could be killed easily without so much drama. After this, I noticed Elena Gilbert had made a cameo appearance in the book! Yes, that's right. Luce hugged Cam after she'd supposedly saved him (she saved the day again, hail mighty Luce) and said she couldn't imagine losing him. Yes. So, not only had she forgiven him but she grew to love him as well! In such a short amount of time, without mentioning what changed her mind all the sudden. This felt surreal and unconvincing. In the beginning of the book she was still wary of him and his intentions. Fail.

And the big revelations! Luce suffers from hallucinations after Dee gives her her blood and the reader suspects something's up. Come on. We all knew it since the beginning of the series. It was the number 1 theory. As well as the fact that she was Lucifer's love. Shocker! There's a hint in chapter 4, come on.

The depiction of Luce in Heaven was of the things i liked, what bugged me was the first meeting with Daniel. Not romantic and rather silly. You meet someone and then you start making out? Seriously? This part felt rushed and not so well-written. I was expecting something more special. Something more overwhelming.

As the other angels watch Luce is the one to stop Lucifer. She goes inside the Announcers to find him. Yeah...the brave Luce does not even fight him. I wanted to see a freaking battle of good and evil, of all the angels. I wanted to see death, loss, agony. Not some pathetic begging! Lucifer is the devil, he is not supposed to make you laugh, but to make you feel scared. He was silly and tacky. And the insults? Oh my God. He called Daniel a haircut. Yes, a haircut, wow the guy is so eeeeeeeevil.

Their bickering sounded like high school lovers who had been dating for two weeks and the guy is so obsessed he can't leave her alone. Oh, my God, when he told her that they looked cute back in Tahiti I burst out laughing.
She didn't even get tempted by him, isn't this what the devil must do? To lure you, to trick you? It would have been interesting if she'd considered joining him. This is how the story would reach a peak.

facepalm Pictures, Images and Photos
Then the final chapter is in Heaven where Luce chooses what? GUESS! You won't believe it OMG. Yes, she chose Daniel! Lucifer sits in a corner with his head hanging low like a grounded kid and then our couple says goodbye to their friends because they will be reincarnated as humans without memories.

The epilogue was good, even though i have some questions. I would have liked to see them already together, not another first meeting. Daniel was like Miles and Luce was...well, as Luce. And her friend Nora was Callie with a different name.

The final scene where the angels and Nephilim stalk them, er, watch them was enjoyable but Miles and Shelby are grownups. Don't they have anything better to do than watch two teenagers make out? And Cam, what happened to him? WHAT HAPPENED TO TREVOR?! Some questions remain unanswered. Frustrating enough.
And Steven and Francesca, in Torment a student said they live in sin and that they can't get married, why in this book Steven referred to her as his wife?!

Rapture was an okay book, with some good moments and some action. Cam should have been the main character, because he's brilliant and i have not seen one reader to express hate on his character. He and Lilith would have been great main characters *sigh*. I wish we knew what happened to him, or why he hit on Luce in the first book. Lauren Kate said she was inspired to write about a mortal girl that would attract an angel's attention because she had something special. Am I the only one who didn't get Luce's special traits? I would have preferred if she were indeed mortal, this is how her original inspiration would be explained because now all i get is that a mortal girl must have been (view spoiler) in her previous life to make a fallen angel love her.
While the characters don't develop much the final scenes are satisfying. The ending was good, solid and what the story needed.
I would have given it a 4 if the villains weren't stupid and the romance was not so cheesy. Will I be watching the movie if it ever comes out? Yes, just out of curiosity. I'm too old for this kind of series, i know, this is why I'll stay away from YA. If I were a teenager I'm sure i would have appreciated this series a lot more.

As a mother who screens everything her 14-year-old daughter reads, I was reminded again, when I got through all of Lauren Kate's "Fallen" series, exactly why it is that I still feel a need to screen said daughter's reading material! What to say?! Like the Cassandra Clare's "Immortal Instruments" series, the "Fallen" series feeds on over-the-top, as-many-hodgepodge-elements-of-world-spiritual-and-fantasy-mish-mash-as-possible hyperbole and plain mistakes. It's like the author stumbled on a National Geographic documentary on Buddhism (self-immolating Tibetans against Chinese rule, perhaps) and Judeo-Christianity (the self-sacrifice of Dee is a total aberration of God's merciful nature according to the Abraham story) HALFWAY, and decided to go with it some of the way in her own story. It's like the author met *one* Coptic Christian (Tibetan Buddhist, Palestinian Jew, Morrocan Spaniad, whatever) while travelling with STA Travel (Student Travel Agency Travel, yep) via Eurail and took all the relevant conversations that occurred during the trip from Milan to Zurich and presented them as world-class-museum-vetted information. There is a complete lack of a bibliography. Far from being a love-for-eternity-oh-all-that-longing kind of love story between Lucinda and the guys, it reads more like an over-the-top hippy, 1960s flower-child caricature or cartoon of it. Or, maybe more so, it reads more like inadequate research into the real traditions. Rather than a fractured version of legends gleaned from an in-depth knowledge of cultures, the series is a hurriedly collage of snippets, hearsay and inattention to historical fact. I did not find the lyrical writing exemplified by Lani Taylor or Sarah Dessen that such strong, enduring love deserves. What I found was Wendy Mass trying for A.S. Byatt - which really isn't a bad thing and of itself, Lauren Kate does have potential. Much like Chris Colfer has potential. I enjoyed the series more for the fun of poking holes in the narrative than in the actual narrative itself. So let me go on:

The girls are all strong-willed and gusty in their own way. The guys are all defective -but they can, absolutely, be saved. The adults are mostly stupid and incompetent or BAD. Yet, in spite of the mild crass language and goose-pimple-inducing prolonged kissing scenes, I thought it would be no-real-harm-done to introduce this series to said daughter, if only to show her how books should NOT be written. My list of Dos and Don'ts for this particular series:

DO: follow in the tradition of Rick Riordan and Camp Half-Blood, and, in fact, East Coast to West Coast for a similar, yet different experience.
DO: travel through time - great for Middle School history, but, really, invest some time in building a bibliography. Wendy Loggia does not a complete bibliography make.
DO: create a very likeable cast of characters, especially Lucinda, who actually loves her parents (ALL of her parents and family), feels bad for lying to them, cares for friends (ALL of them, through all her lifetimes, angel and mortal and in-between!)
DO: warn conservative parents about Arianne and Tess.
DO: make it an inside-joke when it comes to bad guys' names - I totally enjoyed done Cam'eron/riel, the Angel of Aquarius and Lilith.
DO: have plenty of smart lines. They make for good quotes even if the book(s) are not quoteworthy in general. My favourite line from "Rapture": Don't listen to Dr. Phil.

DON'T: mix up the feminism of Lucinda Williams with Angel Gabbe and a female God
DON'T: confuse the murder of Dee with that of the Shang king in Chinese history
DON'T: glamourize the tattoing of Daniel
DON'T: leave loose ends like for Roland and Trevor
DON'T: confuse young minds with the androgynous, souless nature of angels. Young minds are confused enough with human sexuality.
DON'T: confuse young minds with souls of mortals and souls of angels without being clear about where you're coming from: for most traditional religions, the choices that we make in this earthy life decide whether we go to Heaven or Hell when we die.
DON'T: complicate the question of Nirvana versus Heaven. In the end, the question of mortality, far from being answered at the end of the series, get even more complicated if you take that as a theme.

The bottom line: the "Fallen" series cannot be taken seriously. In fact, if not taken seriously, the whole series becomes a pretty fun while-time-away enterprise. For me, it was rather like being eighteen again and backpacking through Europe, surviving on cheap food and youth hostels - or, in the case of said daughter, being 13 and RVing coast-to-coast on U.S. soil and having a blast camping with KOA. Interestingly enough, I think I enjoyed the series more than said daughter - she is clearly still not ready for the concept of "having fun making fun." Well, either that, or maybe kids are a lot smarter than given credit for! That said, all the stars rated here are mine. Said daughter's starless review follows:

"'Rapture' by Lauren Kate is a romantic, slightly boring book.

"Okay, I'll admit it - even though I have never read the 'Twilight' series, I have judged it, mostly based on what my friends have told me about it. Quite frankly, a human who can't choose between a werewolf and a vampire starts a war (or is it 'almost' starts?), gets married way too young and has a kid way too early is not my idea of a good romance OR plot.

"So, when my mum said she would let me read 'Rapture', I wasn't really sure I wanted to. In the end, though, if only just to figure out what kind of books exactly my friends are reading, I decided to read it.

"Ugh. Ugh. UGH.

"Okay, the basic plotline is this: girl goes to creepy school, discovers cute boy, falls in love with him (even though he seems like he hates the sight of *her*). Meanwhile, another boy goes tries to be 'more than friends' with girl but girl doesn't like him, cute boy acts like a jerk, strange and weird things start happening, people start dying, and all the girl can think about is cute boy.

"Oh, yeah - and, apparently, cute boy and a bunch of other people in creepy school are angels or devils, depending on who they are.

"So there you have it - the whole entire book cut down into two paragraphs.

"Now, maybe I'm just abnormal, and normal people actually *enjoy* reading 'Twilight', 'Rapture', etc. So if that's the case, ignore what I said before and read the book: you'll probably enjoy it a lot more than I did."

So, I'd like to start this out by saying that I really enjoyed the first couple books of this series. I felt that they were interesting, while leaving enough to the imagination that I was able to estimate on what was going to happen in so many different ways that it was fun trying to think of the different things that could happen next. That being said, after those first two books, the series started to go downhill fast.

I feel that this last installment was a "Oh Crap" moment for the author. Now, of course I could be wrong and this story all happened exactly as intended, but I felt that the way the series flowed made it seem as if the author figuratively painted herself into a corner and had to alter key aspects of the main character in order to make it fit correctly. Although the majority of my questions were finally answered, they were answered in such a way that I can't feel really right about it. Plus there were still things that were left unanswered, I'd personally still like to know what happened the night that put Luce into the reformatory anyhow. How did that fire start? Etc.

Lastly, I feel that after everything that Luce endured, her decision should have changed. I'm disappointed that after all the pain and torment that she deserved, she still made a selfish decision. Plus it's never mentioned what the consequences of that decision were. It was down to one to decide the fate of the world, then... no explanation. Really? Major letdown.

I really enjoyed how this series ended. I loved Luce's twist! All my questions were answered except for one: we never found out why Luce's old boyfriend, Trevor, combusted. We know why Luce always did, but it never explained what happened to him. Anyone have any answers? I wish the ending could've been infinitely happily ever after, but I'll take what I can get!

This whole series was amazing and this last book was so great! Keeps you guessing the whole way through with twists in the story and I just couldn't put it down. Be prepared to read for awhile cause you won't want to stop this story, from the first page to the very last it's the best book I've read in a while :)

2.5 stars

Look - I was hoping for this book to be better than the other three, but it just didn't live up to that expectation for me.

What I did like
- The good guys won in the end (kind of)
- There was ONE twist that I didn't really see coming
- Hmmmmm... can't really think of any more

What I didn't like
- Luce
I'm sorry but I just cannot stand characters that are soooo whiny
- The melodramatic love story
I don't have anything against paranormal angel romances (I LOVED Hush, Hush) but this was overdone. It's as if Luce wouldn't be able to function as a normal human being without Daniel. If only the mushy stuff was toned down a little and the focus was turned more towards the important aspects of the novel, I would have enjoyed the book.

CONCLUSION
In all, I'm sorry to say that this book just didn't do it for me. I'm glad I finished the series and tied up loose ends, but the flaws outweigh its successes.

It's not like I didn't enjoy the other books in the series - (the first and third ones was by far my favourites and the best written)

I would still call Lauren Kate a talented author, even when I didn't enjoy ONE of her books, and I would definitely look out for more of her novels in the future.

I enjoyed this series. I loved book one, and the only complaints I had for book two and three were the lack of involvement of the other angels, I wanted more. Rapture is the fourth and last book in this series; this book doesn't hold up to the standards of the other books.

First off the book starts out where everyone gathers around the book that Daniel wrote, that happens to contain the exact information that they need to stop Lucifer. The group splits up to retrieve the relics, only the author has no faith in her other characters and sends Daniel and Luce in to rescue them all.

Nothing changes in regards to how information is given to Luce. She is still treated like a child and only discovers everything in the last fifty pages or so.... frustrating to say the least. As far as the ending, it was completely predictable and generic.

That being said I would recommend this series, because the first book was good; just know that the last book might not be what you thought or wanted it to be.

At first i would just like to say thanks to lauren kate. The final Book in the fallen series, Rapture was amazing it had me crying and laughing. i didnt want the book or the series to end, i love luce and daniel. To me they are the representataion of Lasting Love. i read this book in a few hours. I feel as though there are some unanswered questions though, what happened to trevor(fallen)? where was cam and why did he act the way he did? i felt that he wanted to talk to luce about something important about their past when they where up on the mountain before the ritutal but he never had the chance. what was the story behind luce and cam? i have come to the conclusion that something definitely happened there but will we find out? i hope so. i know there are still loads of questions to be answered but many points have been tied up for me in this book. i love the way the story finished although i really really really wished that whatever happened between luce and daniel that they would still remember all the lifes they have lived though that part really made me cry.... i found myself wanting to know what happens when they finally are able to love each other without all the dying and i wanted to see even just a Glimpse of the real relationship they wound have had not just the first meeting as mortals. although im still left without some answers, i loved this series never wanted it end.i loved all the characters and what each one brought to the series. this series broke my heart me cry time and time again, made me laugh and feel scared for the characters ive learned to love. i know i'll re-read this series time and time again. Amazing is'nt the word and thanks lauren Kate.

I loved this series so much it saddens me that it's over. Although, I can say what a twist in the ending never expected it. I can say though is, I wish the ending didn't end the way it did. Like what happens to Luce and Daniels love? What happens when they die? I just think there are still to many questions. I have to say I'm hoping for another book in the series

The series had some promise in the beginning, but the last book seemed lazily put together. I was interested the first half of the book when they were trying to find the artifacts that had very little purpose in the end.

SPOILER ALERT:

I don't understand why Daniel and his gang couldn't have just told Luce that she was an angel, or maybe hinted at it so she could remember. It certainly would hurry the process along. And the fact that she remembered really didn't do anything for the plot. It all seemed like it was pulled together very hastily. The last 100 pages were strange and seemed very out of place with the rest of the series.

The ending was happy and decent, but the way they got there was choppy. It seemed like the writer didn't really plan out this book and was just making things up as she went along.

Altough I enjoyed this series, the ending left me with more than a few questions. Like what the hell, no pun intended, happened to Luce's other family and her BFF Callie. I mean did they just comepletely forget about Luce or did they thimk she died or what. Plus, what about Luce and Cam. He obviously had some feelings toward her and she saved his life from Miss Sophia. And the book kept talking about some girl that broke Cam's heart and made him a demon, so why did we never learn the identity of this girl. I was thinking that it was Luce, but the book never explained. Actually, I couldn't put this book down until the end and realized "this is seriously how the book ends?!?" I mean I really commend Lauren Kate for coming up with this concept, but the ending was so dissappointing that I know I won't be picking this book up again soon. Plus, what really pissed me off was that Shelby even asked about Cam at the very end and no one even answered her!!! I mean Cam was probably my favorite character throughout this whole series and this is how it ends... with sooooo many questions left unanswered. I just wish that Luce could at least still have all the amazing memories of her and Daniel throughout thousands of years... all the reasons she loved him in the first place. I guess if I had the chance to write the ending it would be more like Daniel and Luce still being angels, but still choosing their love over the balance of good and evil and still being friends with all the original characters. But that's just my opinion...

I wanted to like this book, I wanted to love this book, I really did, but, I was extremely disappointed in this ending. Really, I found very few redeeming qualities to this story, the only two I can think of is that there was a huge plot twist, one I never saw coming and well, that this series, that I kept wanting to get better, but never did, is finally over.

This book makes Daniel look like an even bigger jerk/misogynist/overprotective guy than any of the previous books did. Luce is the worst female role model I have seen in a YA book in quite a while. She is weak, whinny, annoying, and indecisive, doesn't get much worse for a female lead that we are supposed to love and care about than Luce. Good characters, characters that we had grown to love, die to protect this special and sacred "love" that Luce and Daniel reportedly have, in my opinion, for no good reason. I don't see any reason or proof that they love each other, maybe lust, or maybe interest, but Luce just jumped from one bad relationship right into another, this relationship is far from an example of a healthy relationship.

Lastly, and in some ways the most annoying this about this book for me, was that God was a woman. As those of you who have followed my reviews or have read my profile on my blog will know, I am a Christian, my husband is actually a priest, and I feel very strongly that God wants us to recognize Him as a male. I am not sure why writers feel the need to make God a woman, like it somehow makes their story better or more revolutionary. Well it doesn't, it actually annoys me and makes me strongly dislike their works. I did not expect this book to follow any Christian doctrine, but come on; this is an important fact in my book.

In conclusion, if you have read the previous books, you kind of need to read this one for the closure factor, but be warned, it really isn't all that good. It is violent, but I don't recall any sex in it. It is appropriate for teenagers, as far as I can remember.

I received this book as an ARC. I do not get paid to review books; I do so in order to assist you in recognizing books that you might enjoy and also to assist parents and teachers in recommending appropriate books for your kids to read.

I did not love this book. I felt that it was rushed and there wasn't a lot of continuity. Anytime there was a problem or a snag in Luce & Daniel's plan, an answer magically manifested itself and although this certainly isn't a realistic story, I was disappointed with the lack of realism in this book. The ending was really great, but other than that i just didn't care for it. The storyline was rushed and I really didn't like the direction that the story ended up taking. I really liked the first 2 books in this series but did not like book 3 & was hoping this one would round things out nicely but, honestly, I could've done without it.

I think that this book is really riveting, it keeps you guessing and interested. If you are a romantic, you really route for true love to prevail in this book. I'd recommend it to anybody who likes romance, action, and a little mystery.

Without revealing too much, I must say that I saw this coming!! The foreshadowing from previous books led to the results. If you enjoyed the previous works in this series, you won't want to miss this one. It did not drag on as I feel the others did, but instead worked more toward the point. I must admit, this story did make me cry...Not the ending, but two chapters from it. When it is "not goodbye". Enjoy!

Beautiful ending to a wonderful series. A very unique portrayal of heaven, hell, angels and demons. Even though this series is young adult, it doesn't matter what age you are, you can easily enjoy these books.

I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a good love story... But I would definitely read the first three books in the series first. It is a great young adult story, and I would love to read how the story continues beyond this book, if one is ever written.

I'm not a Satanist... In fact i'm catholic but for some reason, I cried more for Lucifer than for Daniel and Luce on this book. I bawled by eyes out when Lucifer sung to Luce while she was falling from heaven. I know that Daniel and luce's story was supposed to be the greatest love story ever told but for me, it is the story of lucinda and lucifer that I will remember from this series. I don't think he wanted power... I think he fell in love and it made him think crazy thoughts. Thoughts that made him go against God and give up his position in heaven. Imagine going through all that only to find out that the person you did it for has fallen out of love with you.

I kept reading cause i re ally wanted to love this series. It was just ok. I appreciated that the author kept it clean and appropriate for a teen audience. I think it was just the combination of love at first sight and an angel world that I didn't like.

I really loved the start to this series, but the last couple of books have been a letdown. Daniel is just so tame and boring. Cam does not do much....and his character is let open....we don't know much about him (maybe she will develop a series on him). The ending was pretty good, but looking back, I'm not sure all of the pieces fit. I'd have to reread them all to be sure and I don't enjoy the series enough to do that. The series as a whole is 3 1/2 stars and this book itself is more around 2 1/2.

Too much drama for drama's sake. Dialogue was dumb. Whole thing read like a poorly produced tv movie. The author was caught up on a few compelling images that failed to drive the story. Not worth a reread ever.

Four books later I still can't understand why Daniel loves her so much. He is so incredible and handsome and she is just so plain.
I am very upset about these whole series, the first book was slow, the second one boring, the third was surprisingly all right which is why I decided to buy the last installment.
First of all, the group has to split up to find some relics that are gonna lead them to the place where the angels fell from heaven. It is important to mention that they're basically running out of time. As the story progresses Daniel and Luce end up finding all three relics which pissed me off, I mean if they were gonna end up doing all the work themselves what was the point of separating into groups? Also does this relic hunting sounds familiar? (Harry potter). Dee supposedly didn't know how to proceed until they found all three relics but she had enough intuition to pack a pair of hiking boots to climb the mountain.
After three books of not being able to touch, kiss, love without reservations I would think they'd be all over each other but no. Actually she did little to nothing to help in the quest and even though he spends days and nights preocupied with the task he manages to fetch some breakfast for her, even manages to leave mysterious cards with clues all over for her to find, really? I thought we were running out of time.
It goes on and on with details, it takes a whole page to describe the professors house in Venice.
Daniel has vivid memories of Bible events (Moses and the 10 commandments) but he can't remember where he fell. Also, three books of seeing the outcasts as enemies and somehow they end up allies in this book, and most terrible at the end when she advocates for them, after all the pain they put her through, why didn't she ask for Gabbe and Molly instead?
Speaking of which, the poor angels die and next thing everyone is having a picnic, like nothing ever happened.
The trip in the clouds was ridiculous, she is way high up there and going super fast but she is not scared. Right!
Daniel glowing inside the water to warm it was also pretty surreal.
Now, apart from the blasphemy of mentioning God is a woman I refuse to believe the she-God cursed them along with Lucifer. I do not believe in the idea of a punishing God.
What was the point of the announcers and of Luce manipulating them? Who is Cams love?
The few good things in this book were Daniel breathing air into her, that was hot! Arriane is a sunshine, and the last two episodes were the best thing in the whole series.

Cute series, Cute ending, but sometimes less is more. Just felt really repetitive to me so by the time the end came i just didnt care any more. I really liked the way it ended just took too long to get there.

This book could have been so much more. I WANTED it to be so much more. There were too many plot lines left unanswered. Take my advice: if you're going to read this book, don't buy it. Borrow it from the library.

This book is amaaazing!! It had everything you could want in a book, romance, adventure and so much more. Even since I started reading the fallen books I have been hooked and have have fallen inlove with all the characters This book is my favourite from the series and I'm so sad that its the last :( The ending was the BEST, totally unexpected and caught me by surprise..... it was very bittersweet. I would HIGHLY recommend this series to anyone who loves a good read and is into the whole sci fi/fantasy genre... You won't be disappointed :) :)
