this book just gives more to your world of how you picture this series...it gives you more information on all the other characters to get to know more about them...its like a secret file into something you didnt have to know but was worth reading it...

I loved this series! The first book was entertaining and sneaky, however the next two books reviewed the first and became somewhat boring and yes repetitious! BUT, thankfully, books three four began to regain my interest. The last of the long series was the best as the details, the whys, and the reasons all were revealed - alas the ending with true hope and not an impossible out-come, depending on all parties getting the message. Read the whole series, even the boring repeats, each page contains mysteries and hidden explanations, but they are difficult to find if one skips over, because to be sure, one will skip an important clue. Big surprise at the end, I loved it. The graphic description provided by the author were beautiful and one can , truly imagine (because isn't that why we read?) the aura described; my imagination was well fed.

It's a great complement for the Fallen Books series with short stories about Valentine's Days of the characters. Each story gives you a different message..hope, sweetness, self sacrifice and love in the most difficult situations. Love it!

This book is touted as a set of novellas that are supposed to fill out the other characters stories and put and ending on things. But all it does is make things more confusing. No story has a resolution to it which frustrated me more than anything. Kate just leaves you hanging out there wondering what ever happened.

The book was really well written. It gives insight to not only Daniel's and Lucinda love, but the other angels as well. It shows everyone (even immortals) can and do experience heartache and heartbreak.

I did like this book, but I really would not have bought if I didn't know it wasn't part of the series. I like that it tells some back stories on the characters and explains some details that are left out of the book... but they are not necessary. Good read though.

Never finished the book, when I bought it I thought it was the next book in the series. I only got half way through, and I was very bored when reading it. I guess it was my bad for buying it under false pretenses.

Could have been a better book, I really love the Fallen Series, but this book was not as good as the other ones, it felt more like an add-on more than a continuation of the the story, I didn't really like it.

I loved the first four books. However, the fifth book just repeated the fourth book from different characters points of view. And even practically (I think there were) word for word repeated at least one, if not more chapters.
After following Luce and Daniel for four books, you would think "Fallen In Love" would be their final love story. All their hard work for the "end game", we should have been told their mortal love story.
I feel this series is incomplete. Detailed and tells a great story, for the first four books. If you're a stickler for "complete endings", this is not the story for you. Unless you're willing not to bother with the last book. As the story doesn't progress but regress in the final book.
If It would have stopped at four books it would have been much better as a whole

I loved the "Fallen" series so I thought this was a logical book to read next. I loved learning about the characters in their past lives and loves. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed the "Fallen" series. Great, light, easy reading.

For the overall, I feel cheated on this book and I want my money back. This could have simply been included in the previous book or even in the upcoming one. You knew exactly what was going to happen, and there was no real substance to grab on.

I remember really enjoying the first few books in this series but since it’s been years since I’ve picked up the first book, it was difficult for me to reenter the series again. I basically had to re-fall in love with Dan and Luce and the whole premise once again. Surprisingly, I ended up enjoying the spin-off (the last book in the series is actually a spin-off and not at all related to Luce or Dan) more than the conclusion of Dan and Luce’s cursed love.
I also enjoyed the novella, Fallen in Love, mainly because it allowed me to understand the other angels a little more even though when I first picked up the book, I had no recollection on any of the characters so the first couple in the novella, Miles and Shelby, were completely lost on me. Actually, now that I think of it, I’m still not 100% sure who they are…LOL. However, Roland and Arianne’s own stories made a lot of sense because they were still prominent characters in the fourth and final (“final”) book. I particularly liked Arianne’s story because I did not know she geared that way. It was a little shocking but I liked it because even angels do not have boundaries on love and I think that’s great.
I’m not going to talk too much about Dan or Luce mainly because I think most of the character building occurred in the beginning of the series and I was essentially only reading the conclusion in book 4, Rapture. Therefore, I will discuss more about the plot and the conclusion. First of all, I was shocked with the ending. I thought the whole purpose of the series was a cursed love between an angel and a human. However, Lauren completely skewed from that and revealed the ultimate reason as to why Dan and Luce have a cursed love to start with. Second, I think that ultimate reason is bogus. I found it ludicrous and ridiculous because, I mean, these are angels. Why do they need to pick a side and failure to do so would end up in a lifetimes of lifetimes of a love that will ultimately lead to death? Needless to say, I was not satisfied with that reasoning but it did give a good introduction into the “final” book of the series.
The whole premise with Unforgiven was fascinating. The idea of Lilith being sent to a purgatory of different aspects of hell that circle on the main thing – revenge – was interesting. You don’t really understand what the story behind was until later on in the book and then you’re like “OH, so that’s what happened” and then you feel bad for the two of them. To be honest though, this whole drama stemmed from Cam’s inability to trust in Lilith enough. If he only had the guts to tell her or show her, then they would have lived a happily ever after and maybe Cam wouldn’t even have sided with Lucifer to start with. But no, he had to be stubborn and scared. I’m just glad it all worked out for them because I simply cannot imagine living different kinds of hell over and over again because of a deal gone bad.
Overall, I still think this series was good mainly because I do remember enjoying the first and the third book a lot with the second one being a bit of a lull. And Cam’s story in Unforgiven was enlightening. I also like you not only got a closer glance at Cam’s background but also more on Lucifer’s personality. There were a lot of LOL moments between the two.

This book is comprised of four novella's featuring the prominent cast members of the supernatural romance series of books. Each story focuses on the relationship between two Angels, and any fan of the FALLEN series would be mad to miss reading these, as well. Ironically, the only let down comes right at the end, with the story focusing on Luce and Daniel, but given the fact the entire four book set is dedicated to these two sorting their problems out, you can’t really expect miracles (pun intended) in a short novella.
The other three stories are great. The romance between Shelby and Miles is absolutely electrifying and of course you totally feel for Roland in part two. The shock comes with part three, Arriane and Tess, but then that might just be my ignorance coming through. Like i have already mentioned, part four was the book's weakest link but it was still highly readable for addicts (like me).
The writing style is just like the others. Bill the Gargoyle is still Bill the Gargoyle and of course Luce is still living in ignorance of her true form.
Enough from me. If you liked the FALLEN series, you will love this. It’s that simple, and it’s a no brainer.
Four stars.
Bye.

Fallen In Love is the BEST book of the Fallen series so far... but that's really not saying much as so far I haven't been enjoying the series. This is a between book that besides being kinda cute and a motley of mini tales that all intertwine, also finally establishes a fix for a glaring plot hole that was in the previous 3 books! It's done with a casually placed comment but at least it is explained! (Don't worry no spoilers) But seriously that void was driving me crazy!!!
Regardless, this is an improvement on the series and I greatly appreciated the much needed break from the main story line.

The first story in this takes place in Medival England it follows Miles and Shelby who are looking for Luce to bring her to Daniel. While there they meet up with Medival Luce who has at this point met Daniel and lost him as she is not the proper lady he could marry but a farmer's daughter. With the promise of finding Daniel and bringing him to Valentine's Day faire they leave Luce and decide to buy things for Luce and Daniel to help them reconnect with each other. In the midst of this Shelby and Miles find they are falling in love with each other and buy one another a Valentine's Day token for Shelby it's gloves and for Miles it's his missing Dodgers cap he losses in the beginning of the book. There they share a special kiss that shows they are on their way towards love.
The next story is about Roland who is parading around England as a knight. There Roland encounters the girl he loved Rosaline and how he left her when he realized that their love wouldn't work. I really enjoyed Roland's story about how he loved this girl with his whole being but even that wasn't enough in the end when Cam points out what Roland knows that this love isn't meant to be as Roland is an Angel and Roseline is a girl a human girl and their relationship won't work. He goes to see Rosaline to see what has become of her to find she is married and expecting and Roland does the only thing he can insure that her husband stays home instead of heading off to war.
The third story is of Arianne still taking place in England in Medival times. Arianna is spending her time milking a cow for a family and spending what time she can with her love Tess. When Arianna finds out that Lucifer wants Tess back Tess asks Arianne to make a huge sacrifice to give up heaven for hell one decision Arianne can't make. No matter what the stakes Arianne can't give up Heaven even if she is a fallen angel. Tess gets enraged by this and does everything she can to convince Arianne that they can be free to be together in Hell.
The Last story is about Luce and Daniel their story takes place in Medival England on St. Valentine's Day. It takes place during the Valentine's faire and Luce is searching all over for Daniel, even stumbling across Cam at a dance when finally Daniel appears and the two rush off to a secluded area to have their first Valentine's Day together.
I really enjoyed reading the various stories to see some of the history between the Angel's and the ones that they loved. It was refreshing not just be focused on Daniel and Luce!

My heart. Ugh, you guys, I love the Fallen series so much. I know there are a lot of people who just don't get the appeal. They don't like Luce, Daniel, the story, etc. And that's fine. But I love it. I will admit that Torment was a bit of a letdown, but Passion totally brought me right back on board with the series and I have been dying to find out how it ends. When I learned Fallen in Love was going to be published, I was kind of thrilled, but felt it was superfluous to the actual storyline of the series. And though it doesn't actually move the plot along, Fallen in Love is a nice respite from the dramatics and gives nice insights into the characters.
The first story, Love Where You Least Expect It, is the Valentine of Shelby and Miles. Unlike a lot of fans, I haven't been overly fond of Miles and Shelby. They're nice kids who want to help out, but I wanted them to "be quiet so I can have more Daniel and Luce". But I honestly enjoyed this story. It was nice to see them get their own piece of happiness.
Next was Roland's story, Love Lessons. Roland has always been a big mystery to me. I've never understood his motivations. Though this story didn't overwhelm me, I did feel sorry for the poor guy. And though this was my least favorite of the stories, I do have a new appreciation for Roland.
Burning Love is Arriane's Valentine. Arriane has always been a favorite character of mine. She's a bit unhinged, and I like it. Think Kristen Ritter in the tv show Apartment 23. Arriane's story surprised me, in a good yet sad way. I guess I never considered her an emotionally serious character. I was wrong.
Last is Endless Love, The Valentine of Daniel and Luce. All I can say about this story is SWOON. If you love this couple, Endless Love is highly satisfying. It's so nice to see these two in a (short-lived) happy place. I don't want to say to much, but honestly, I got chills.
Fallen in Love was a gorgeously written, very romantic book. I don't know that it's absolutely necessary to read this before Rapture. But if you're a fan of the series, I don't see why you wouldn't want to.

Fallen in Love is a treat for fans of Lauren Kate's Fallen series. Featuring four love stories, three of which are told from the perspectives of much loved side characters, Fallen in Love takes place during a Valentine's Day fair in Medieval England. The stories span around three to four chapters each and give us new insight into our favorite Fallen characters.
I can't say which is my favorite story. I love them all in their own special ways. Miles and Shelby's blossoming love is cute in the way two close friends discover new, more intimate feelings for each other. Rolan rediscovers a painful love from the past and realizes what it means to lose it. Arianne, the one from the past, experiences forbidden love, and we learn where she received the scar on her neck. Luce and Daniel share a beautiful Valentine's Day memory together.
Lauren Kate's writing is descriptive and beautiful. I enjoyed reading from the perspectives of some of my favorite Fallen characters, and I love how the stories cross each other, giving us a rounded picture of what takes place that Valentine's Day in Medieval England. My only regret is that Cam wasn't in the mood for celebrating Valentine's Day along with everyone else, as I would have loved to read his story--and find out more about his type of girl.
I recommend reading Fallen in Love if you are a fan of Lauren Kate's Fallen series. I recommend asking for a copy for Valentine's Day or giving it to someone on that special day. This book has been a joy to read, filled alternately with bliss, humor, and tears. Plus, there is that bonus preview to Rapture, book four in the Fallen series!
A last note. I've seen quite a few comments on Goodreads bashing this book and how it is unnecessary. In my opinion, it is a gorgeous collection of stories and should be enjoyed as such. I love the stories, and I had fun learning more about various characters and their relationships with one another. There isn't any reason to hate this book before picking it up, and even then it is rude to insult the author for adding a collection of stories to her series.

First Impressions: When I first found out that Fallen in Love was going to be available very, very soon, I turned on my computer, went to the store, and pre-ordered a copy for myself. Then I went to Netgalley and requested the e-arc. I was a happy girl when I was accepted to review this book. You have no idea how much I love this series! Fallen in Love was just what I needed to make it through the next few months before the final book, Rapture, hits the shelves. Can you tell that I am excited about this book? Because I am!
Characters & Plot: I'm not going to make this a long review since this isn't a very long book. Well, that and every time I've tried to write this review today it was spoiler, after spoiler, after spoiler. So here is what I am going to tell you: If you love the Fallen novels, you must proceed to your nearest bookstore and grab this on January 24th. If you haven't read the Fallen novels, you don't necessarily need to since I think you will be able to follow along regardless. BUT, I think they are worth reading so you might want to hold out.
All of the stories included in this book take place sometime during the Passion (I think?) novel, over one particular Valentine's Day. I love the Medieval England setting of each story and the way Lauren describes everything, makes me want to be there myself. Each of the stories somewhat flow together at first, but I think they are meant to be read separately. I finished this book off in a matter of a couple of hours, so it didn't take up much of my time, but it left me really, really wanting to read Rapture. So much for holding me over until the final books release!
There is a lot of insight to be gained in this book and some new character revelations make this book even more interesting and attractive for Lauren Kate fans. I got to know more about poor Cam and how he survived after his failed marriage to Lilith. I seriously feel bad for this dude, and I really hope we find out more about him in Rapture.
Roland's story nearly melted my heart! Boy, was he ever different when he was younger! In this book we get a whole different Roland then what we are used to seeing. He isn't the cool, calm, collected, and confident Roland. His first love story is ridiculously cute and so sweet! Arriane's story was also unexpected but very sad. I finally found out how she got the scars on her neck, which had been bugging the heck out of me.
Final Thoughts: I loved this book because it really gave me quite a few of the answers I had been dying to know. This is definitely a "filler" book, but unlike so many others, this one is worth having. One of the best parts? The exclusive look into Rapture at the back of the book! I highly recommend checking this one out!

Being a semi-fan of the Fallen series, I have to say this was rather interesting and did bring life to some of the background characters more than I thought it did for Luce and Daniel. This book does provide some knowledge and twists what could be the present tense of Rapture (the final book in the Fallen Series), so being a short story or just something on the side, if someone say skipped it for whatever reason, I don't know how this will impact Rapture. I hope it does and doesn't, there are a few tales that are just mesmerizing and just really well done.
Fallen in Love is a series of four stories regarding a different set of Fallen characters. I am going to attempt my best to really just ruffle the feathers here on all four, cause realistically its a single story-line told around four different stories and relationships. I think this would be the best way to go about this book, and frankly almost the only way to go about it.
First up is Miles and Shelby, their story with how they find love and go about their story was probably the high point of the book. Not to say that the others weren't good or bad, but I find Miles's and Shelby's the best out of the lot. However, my problem is that Miles seems to go immediately over Luce (upon realizing what Daniel is doing for Luce) and straight into the next person. To me, that's a cheap and almost like a rebound.
After Miles and Shelby they hand the reigns of the story over to Roland, which has a story of lost love unlike any other. I felt sorry for Roland and there is a pain in his story so deep that I just couldn't help but feel some sort of pain for him. I don't understand if he wakes up in his story, seeing the past version of the one person that he loves or still loves, and realizes he still loves her and wishes he could change something he did. I was a bit confused with what lesson he supposedly learned but it was still decent.
Roland hands the story over to Arianne, and her story surprised me the most. I didn't picture her story the way it was told, frankly I pictured it completely different. The love between her and her partner burns so deep and bright, that I do wish that they could have come out and said their dues like Luce and Daniel. I don't buy into the bit where Arianne didn't believe they could, but she makes up for in not changing her believes because of someone she cares about. I just pictured Arianne's story told completely different, but it was still good either way.
Arriane sets up Luce and Daniel's night together. Of course though, they seem to have the most spectacular night of everyone else. However, their love is getting overdone, it's like seeing the same story over and over, but when you see Miles and Shelby theirs seems to trump Luce's and Daniel's because of how unique and fresh it is. As well, their only Valentines Day? Over all the times they were together and the years or months they were together it never seemed to happen on that day again? That's a bit of a stretch, and I don't buy it. Sorry but that's just too cheesy.
Overall, this book was meh, something I wouldn't really recommend or suggest people to read in the Fallen series. However, when I get into Rapture and if I find out that some of the details (the spoilers I'm not giving) are important and need to be known, that may change. I don't exactly know what to say overall, other than read Miles's and Shelby's and then put the book down cause the rest is just cheesy and almost not even worth the time. Sorry, but I just don't buy into a lot of the gimmicks in this book.
I have been a massive fan of Lauren Kate since I stumbled across Fallen in 2010. Her fallen angel love story is one that I think will span the ages. When Random House contacted me about the possibility of getting an advance copy of Fallen In Love I completely and utterly jumped at the chance.
I love the way that Fallen In Love is written, four love stories colliding in a whirlwind Valentine's Day Festival in Medieval England. Each of the four stories was stand alone and amazingly written.
My favourite, and one I can relate the most, was the story between Shelby and Miles. The story of friends that fall in love is one I think a lot of people can relate to. A touch, a slight difference in appearance can change everything. I also loved the fact that it was the start of the book and the next three stories linked to it.
The full circle segment at the end just added that something extra special to the collection. If you haven't read the Fallen series then you may need to read the first book, at least, to know who the characters are. However I think that everyone would be able to enjoy the book as much as I did.
I would give Fallen In Love 5/5

This series has been very hit or miss for me. I enjoyed the first two books in the series but was disappointed with "Passion" as I didn't like all the time travel. I was disappointed right away to discover that "Fallen In Love" all takes place as yet another trip into the past via announcer. I did like the fact that all four of these short stories are linked together...they take place during the same Valentine's day and one story feeds into the next. I thought that was pretty unique and enjoyed that aspect of the book. Miles and Shelby have a very cute story to kick things off and I think ultimately it remained the best of the four shorts. It sort of reminded me of O.Henry's story "The Gift of the Magi". Roland is one of my favorite characters and his story gave some new insight into his past. Arriane's story had the biggest twist and should have been the best of the bunch but it ended up being disappointing and forgettable. The last story is of Luce and Daniel and it also was a lot of nothing. I am a fan of these extra short stories and novellas authors write for fans. Most of the time these show up as free on the author's websites or are offered for free or cheap as a digital book. "Fallen In Love" is one of these little bonus stories wrapped up in a nice, expensive hardback and its just not worth it. Readers can easily skip this book and not lose a thing as far as reading the rest of the series goes. I look forward to reading "Rapture" and concluding this series.

Split into four different love stories, Fallen in Love was heartwarming and a fun addition to Lauren Kate's Fallen series.
Fallen in Love's first story, Love Where You Least Expect It: The Valentine of Shelby and Miles, was adorable. I loved seeing the lighter side to both Miles and Shelby, and their uncertainty about their growing feelings was extremely endearing. The way Shelby kept catching herself staring at Miles once his hat was lost, getting caught up in his clear blues eyes, had me stopping to catch my breath a couple times. Their nighttime picnic under a starry sky sealed the deal, and had me instantly swooning for their fledgling relationship.
I wasn't as big a fan of Fallen in Love's second story, Love Lessons: The Valentine of Roland. Maybe it's because I haven't read any of the Fallen books in a while, but I had a hard time remembering who Roland was. While I empathized with his torment over how things ended with his first - and only - love, I couldn't truly connect to him because I couldn't place him in Fallen's overall plot.
Fallen in Love's third story, Love: The Valentine of Arriane, started out quite promising. Learning about Arriane's sordid love affair with one of Lucifer's demons, a passion that spanned a millennia that neither time nor distance seemed able to weaken, was heartbreakingly beautiful. But their love story was tainted after Tess decided to present Arriane with an ultimatum - something someone truly in love would never force upon their loved one.
Fallen in Love's last story, The Valentine of Daniel and Lucinda, was one I could have done without. Luce's anxiousness permeated the pages, in her desire to uncover more clues about her past and what she needs to change in order to be with Daniel in the present. Even during a romantic moment together, Luce wasn't able to completely set aside her worries and just live for the moment.
I did love that all four stories happened during the same time period - medieval England - and that they were all connected in one way or another, eventually leading up to Daniel and Luce's Valentines Day. I also enjoyed that, while love was the focus, there was also a lot about friendship and the type of family bond that comes with shared experiences over time. It was also kind of romantic that, even though in this century Daniel and Luce are inevitably torn apart, if only for one night, their friends worked together to give them a moment of pure happiness. While I don't feel like Fallen in Love has added to the Fallen series, it was a quick and romantic read that fans of the rest of the series are sure to find enjoyable!

i have read and enjoyed all the books in this series but this one 's timing being around Valentines day seemed a bit like a long hallmark card, i was intersted to know about arriane"s scar and though i can"t imagine shelby doing yoga, and her descriptions always make her seem like she behaves like a dog d,the adjectives that describe her don"t makeme imagine a cute girl, but anyway, i love the story line and i am looking forward to the end game, the name lucinda always makes me think of satan , but hey, i love the guy, i think i live with him.I can"t wait to read the next chapter, buy i dont want the world to go away...such is life, i'm going to read now, enjoy and buy this one if you haven"t already.

If you're a fan of the Fallen series, I recommend reading this. While it wasn't AS addicting as the first three books, it was enjoyable. It's four short stories compiled into one book. Each short story is with a different point of view, but they all happen on the same day; Valentines Day.
The first story, in my opinion, was the cutest. It was Shelby's point-of-view and it was about Shelby and Miles. It was my favorite story of all four of them. It was the start of something and I can't wait to read Rapture to see if it continues! I was hoping Shelby and Miles would get together!
The second was Roland's point-of-view. It was weird reading through Roland's eyes, but also a great opportunity to learn more about him. This one completely broke my heart. I've always seen Roland as this strong, cool, mysterious sort of character. He's hilarious sometimes, really. But seeing him completely tormented by a choice he had to make for him and the woman he loved, just tore me apart. I feel for Roland so much. I think this one was the saddest one.
The third was of Arianne. I've always loved Arriane and to see this side of her made me understand why she tries to help Daniel and Luce so much. She had a forbidden love too, and it ended badly. You also get to see how she got her scars, and I'm glad we get to find that out because I've been curious about that since the first book.
The final story is, of course, Luce and Daniel. You can't have a Fallen novel, even if Novella, without Luce and Daniel. While their story wasn't very long, you do get to read about the only Valentines Day they've ever been together for. It's always fun to read about Luce and Daniel, but I really hope they get a break in Rapture. They've been through SO much and it just isn't fair!
Overall, this was an enjoyable extra to the series. It's quick paced and I could of read it pretty fast, but I've been in a bit of a rut so it took me a week. Can you believe that? Ha! If you're a fan, definitely read it. It's not the BEST, but it IS a compilation of short stories. Not an actual novel. Read it! :)

This is a very good book to read if you want to know more about cam and his bad boy love story but it breaks my heart that the last book only give you a snapshot in to luce and Daniels lives. this book has nothing to do with how luce and Daniels story plays out and that's something I was really looking for if this is the end of the series it did not play out how I expected at all but the book is a very good read

I was really looking foward to reading Fallen in Love after the third book Passion, was a dissapointment from the first 2 awesome books in this series (Fallen and Torment). This book had potential to be great but it was just hit or miss. The book was okay it had 4 short stories the last one of course being about Luce and Daniel. I liked the first 2 stories. One was about Miles and Shelby looking for Luce and how they fell for each other. And the other was how Roland was in love and lost his love. But he learns a hard lesson about what honor and love is. The story of Arriane made me scratch my head. I felt like Lauren Kate just put that out of no where because she was running out of ideas. Then the last part was of course one of Lucinda and Daniels past lives in the middle ages. The book was alright but I was expecting more excitment from it. And I was hoping the book would be longer. Oh well hopefully Rapture the final book in this series will be more exciting and have a happy ending.

I have been waiting to read this book for what seems like forever.. It is composed of four stories of love and sometimes lost love. I was quite surprised at the stories of Arianne and of Roland, they showed some insight into the depth of each character. I think my favorite was of Miles and Shelby, it was sweet and had me captured from the beginning. I didn't, however, feel like there was enough of Daniel and Luce in this book.
Although the stories were interesting, I'm just desperate for more of the story that the Fallen books have given us for so long. I am impatiently waiting for the continuation of this beautiful love story so, even though I thoroughly enjoyed the stories she had to offer in this installment, I was still left a bit unsatisfied.. not because of the writing or lack of interest, but because I am anxious to know what the future (or present) has in store for Daniel and Luce.
I give this book 3.5 stars, but only because it was short and I'm still starving for more of the original story..

Short story collections always take me FOREVER to finish reading, so this was no different. I am a big fan of the series and so I was very happy to get the chance to read a little about the other characters we see throughout. This was all about love on Valentine's Day--lost love, found love, reconnected love, etc. It started off strong and ended strong. I think my favorite was between Miles and Shelby, who I always thought would make a good couple anyway. It was sweet. I like how the author didn't think that all love had to be hugs and kisses and whispered sweet nothings, but she gave us some of the bitterness too.
All in all, the book ended strong with Luce and Daniel, as it well should and gave a good little heartwarming teaser for those waiting for the next and final installment to the series. I couldn't give it a 5 star like I would have wanted, mainly because it was a bunch of short stories that really didn't further the series itself, which is what I myself, and I think the readers, are really looking for. It was a pleasant side road on the path to Luce and Daniel's epic love story.

I was so excited when I heard that this book was coming out, but a little confused on how they would make it work within the current timeline created by the other books. I have to say without giving anything away that it was worth the excitement and I'm so glad that I picked it up. After finishing the 1st short story I was giggling like a school girl and grinning from ear to ear. It truly is something that will satisfy those of you waiting for Rapture to hit the shelves.
This series is just an exciting young adult read that I have used to start a reading circle with some friends. I encourage you all who love teen romance, but are sick of the "twilight" themes to pick up this series and begin reading, then share it with all your friends.
Happy reading!

I found these short stories interesting to read--you really get some insight into some of the characters in the Fallen series. But, I found when I was finished, my overall reaction was merely, "meh."
Surprisingly, the best part was Roland's short story. If I were rating the book just on that story, it would have gotten 5 stars. I loved seeing how Roland's past choices consume his present self, and after choosing Lucifer, he can still feel love, shame, and sorrow. Hopefully we can see more of this Roland in Rapture!
What bothered me?
I got bogged down in all the details again--just like in Passion. There were entire pages that I just skimmed because it was description after description after description. There was a point I wanted to yell, "Get to it already!"
Nonetheless, if you like the Fallen series, you should still check this out, just for the sake of seeing a little deeper into the psyche of the angels.

This book was : won by me in an ARC giveaway on RandomBuzzers.com (thanks RandomBuzzers!)
I rate this book : 4.5 stars out of five
Summary: What makes your heart race a little faster? Just in time for Valentine's Day, it's FALLEN IN LOVE, four wholly original new stories collected in a new novel set in the Middle Ages by Lauren Kate. FALLEN IN LOVE gives fans the much-talked about but never-revealed stories of FALLEN characters as they intertwine with the epic love story of Luce and Daniel.
- from Goodreads.com
My review: I might've enjoyed this book more if I had read the earlier Fallen books, but even without any knowledge from them,I loved this book!
It contains four Valentine Days's stories, all interconnected.
I was quite a bit skeptical about this book, with it being in a popular series, and I had to almost force myself to read it, so it was very surprising to find it was a good book.
When I read the back, I was like 'Oh great, another paranormal love story- it contains four, just what we need. Bella and Edward and what's her name from vampire academy and i think she hooks up with someone(I could only read halfway into Vampire Academy, then I had to burn it) and Damien and what's her name(sorry-my brain is mush) from Vampire Diaries, just what we need is another vampire/angel couple! But Fallen in loved surprised me very much, from the plot being very original, to the characters, and I really like Miss Kate's writing style.
There were a few minor spelling errors, but since I got an ARC, those are to be expected, and will most likely be fixed in the published copy.
The only bad thing about reading Fallen in Love? I have to wait four days for the other books in the series to arrive from the store. =D
Overall, I really enjoyed this book, and am happy to have had the privelege to review it.
I rate this 4.5/5 and recommend this to people who like paranormal romance. And everyone who doesn't. So I recommend this to everyone!

(I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review)
I was excited to read this book. I got my hands on it from Netgalley, but didn't get to read it until the day it released. Boo...I need to start reading a book from there as soon as I get it so I can review it before the book is actually released. Oh well that's what happens when you overload yourself with too many books.
This book was ALL about the first and only time Luce and Daniel spent Valentine's Day together. Sad, isn't it? Those two never get a friggin' break.
Lauren Kate took us out of Luce's head and into several other characters, finally. Yeah!!!!
We got a taste of Shelby and Miles. I adore those two. =) Finally, maybe those two will have a happily ever after and stop playing around and kiss already.
Then came Roland's own love story. Although, it ended up being a sad ending for him...but not for his love of course, since he made a serious decision. Made me love him even more. It's never easy to give up your one true love to make them happy.
What seriously threw me off, is when Lauren Kate, told Arriane's love story. Wow...wasn't expecting that, but it was really Sweet. Although, of course not another happy ending. Geez! Won't ruin it for anyone who hasn't read the book. I was actually a little upset on what happened to Arianne and her true love.
Of course, the finale of the book was Daniel and Luce spending Valentine's Day together. Sweet, beautiful and happily ever....well not really. Sorry...we all know what happens to Luce eventually in every lifetime she's ever lived except her more recent one. At least she got to spend one lovely day with the love of her life.
If you haven't read the series, you need to read it. Although, the first book is always going to be the best of the series. The 2nd and 3rd just didn't do it for me. I'm looking forward to reading "Rapture" though and you get a glimpse of the first chapter in this book. I always love sneak peeks.
I loved how Lauren flowed each short story into once. Shelby and Miles when they ran into Roland, brought on his story and then Arianne came into Roland's story. It was a great transition.
All and all...it was a short sweet read...but not exciting. It's a great Valentine's Day read, but don't think the short novellas are always happily ever afters. There's something to learn in each one.
I'm just happy to have read that Daniel and Luce finally got something happy out of the deal.
Now the countdown begins for "Rapture". Give me more Cam and I'll be a happy, giddy Book Mama. =)

Fallen In Love is a set of four stories set on Valentine's Day in the Fallen world.
THE PLOT: These four stories about our most beloved Fallen characters will make you smile and cry. Tragedy, sacrifice, sweet moments, and true love fill these stories set in medieval England.
THE CHARACTERS: It was really great to see a bit into the past of Arriane and Roland, despite the heart-wrenchingness of their stories. Shelby and Miles were adorable, and Daniel and Luce were....just perfect. The chararcters all remained true to themselves and we learned a bit more about everyone, particularly the angels.
OVERALL: A beautiful, heart-breaking, tender book about love. The writing is as fantastic as ever and as an extra bonus, a sneak peek of Rapture is included. 4 stars.

This book was so weird. I liked the first story, and finally Miles will stop dwelling on Luce. But Arrianes story is weird. I didn't know she was into women... That was awkward. I didn't know if that was a boy or girl in the beginning but now... I am confused. Didn't she 'hint' towards Roland? Rolands story was depressing. It made me want to go sleep off the sad story. Luce and Daniels story was cute, I'll give it that, but it could have been a bit more detailed. You don't need this book in order to read the next books.

This was an enjoyable enough read but it does nothing to move the plot along with the series and appears to be a pure filler to fill the gap until the final book was released. I read it primarily for Daniel and Luce's story but it fell short of the mark for me, could have been more romantic. Pricey for what you get and I really wished I hadn't bothered purchasing it - it adds no value to the series.

I just finished the book and I must say, I'm quite surprised that this was put out there. The biggest disappointment was Lucy and Daniels story. I kept thinking, is that it? There has to be something more besides peonies and a little more lip locking. I'm finding it harder and harder to blindly keep pulling for these two characters. After 3 1/2 books, the passionate kisses are getting old and the whole Bill thing is beyond ridiculous. This series should have only been 3 books. The unfortunate consequence of the publishing company dragging this out is her characters and readers have become utterly lost.

Several short loves stories.
The intertwining of Shelby and Miles.
How Cam fell when his love turned on him.
Roland leaving his true love for her benefit.
Arriane, how she was scarred and lost her love, female.
The only Valentines day that Daniel and Luce spent together.

I was so excited at first buying this book from my kindle.. But when I started reading it, I found it so boring, I thought it just because of the 1st chapter that gets be bored, but when I got to the 3 and 4th I cant still get where the story goes.. I just ended up not reading the book anymore.. dont buy it, such a waste of money.. the author put to much attention on something else than the main character and the story itself..

I was almost disappointed that I got this book. I loved the series, but this book didn't do it justice. After reading a series, I always have a book hangover, and I wasn't ready for this one to end. So, I thought I would get this spin-off. It was good, but it just wasn't what I was expecting. I had higher hopes for it. I just don't think it was as good as it could have been.

I love the Fallen series, but Fallen in Love is not good. It's like the author had a few side stories left over from Passion and decided to profit from them. All four stories are about the same day. They are just another step through an announcer, which I grew tired of in Passion. I felt detached from the story and the characters. I skimmed a lot. I just couldn't get into it. The third story is a love story about Arriane and Tess. Girls. I didn't get the impression that Arriane was that way in the series, so I was surprised. I ended up skipping that part. I was also bored with the sneak peek at Rapture. I think Fallen in Love might have made me fall out of love with this series. I can't believe I'm saying this, but after being very excited for Rapture to come out, I think I won't even read it now.

Really? Arriane is a lesbian? Way to ruin a great series (with an albeit poor ending) with a disgusting lifestyle. Thank God I had time to return this trash. Ah, Lauren Kate! For a second there, you had me fooled into thinking you were another Stephenie Meyer. Unfortunately, you lack her morals and ability to provide fans with a satisfying ending. No longer a fan.

Fallen in Love is a collection of four short stories that are
Love Where You Least Expect It, Love Lessons, Burning Love and Endless Love.
I really liked this novel. It was simple and romantic yet tragic. We get to learn more about the characters and their loves. Shelby and Miles grow closer while we learn more about Arianne and her love. Roland's love story is very memorable and Luce and Daniel spend Valentine's Day together.

I really enjoyed The detailed background on Lucinda, Daniel, etc...
It is a great way to expand the characters world and atributes that you as a reader have invested so much time, imagination, even emotion absorbing.
I thought this could have been fleshed out more... And some new inserted items like the vehicles they time traveled in was new news to me put in context of series, and i had read everyone of Lauren's books. What the heck were those things?
I know these are aimed at "young adults" but I think this audience may be "pegged" with a lower attention span or ability to delve into a world so vast and exciting. Evaluated too young to grasp more emotion and life's trauma and thrills.
