I absolutely enjoyed this book as well as the last! Although it is short, every page is so fulfilling as if i am able to live through his “don’t give a s***” perspective. His books are so real and the feelings are incredibly relatable. It’s dark, sexual, and very addictive. I would definitely recommend these books (and I have) to many more people. I cannot wait for the third installment!

I've been gifted Anonymous' books two years in a row and they never fail to be an amazing gift. I was so excited to read this book after reading the first novel and it didn't disappoint. It's an entertaining, raw account of the Oxygen Thief's dating life with comedic points and blunt honesty that never fails to shock me. Diary of an Oxygen Thief and Chameleon in a Candy Store has made me eager for his books to come!

So I know that most people put this book down after reading past the first page but I guess most people can't handle an author who writes in such a manner where the reader can become so hooked within a few words. Sure it's dark at most points but also really funny and interesting to see the characters next move within each page. This book is breathtaking and definitely daring!

Chameleon in a Candy Store was interesting in how it offered a fresh, raw take on someone struggling with unfortunate past experiences and trauma caused by them. What’s great about this book is how gritty and honest the author is about his mistakes and failings as a human being instead of pretending to be like any other pretentious, bestselling author.

The author’s voice provides such a clear view of his mind, and these books are a refreshing take on life, love, and all the sh*t that comes with it. I appreciate the brutal and sometimes piercing honesty. I finished both books within the week I bought them and am looking forward to book 3.

normally when I really love books, I refuse to read the second because I don't want to be let down, but I found myself once again falling in love with the way the narrator tells stories. Always honest, even at the parts most people would refuse to be. Possibly even better than the first.

It may be personal but this series showcases the absolute worst of myself from both ends of the spectrum. Both the naive wannabeloved and the one doing the damage. Although it's also nice to read comedy that doesn't make you roll your eyes.
I genuinely do love the books but I'm not even going to pretend I'm doing this for any reason other than I'm tanked and want a free excerpt of the new one.

I have read both books multiple times and every time I re read it it’s like if I was reading it again. I highly recommend it and can’t wait till the third book comes out.

The book allows for the individual to escape into the perception of the character. It transforms the subtle interactions of our lives into a real snap shot. Revealing, what one does with their affect and how we are all tangled up in a similar web. The sequel does not disappoint and I look forward to the writers future works.

Chameleon in a Candy Store is bold, artistic, and filled with dark humor. It’s filled with cut aways to hilarious advertisements rendering it impossible to put down. It’s focus on online dating really puts into perspective where our society is heading. To say it’s a “must-read” would be an understatement.

I am absolutely hooked on "The OxygenTheif Diaries"! One thing I love about Diary of an Oxygen Theif & Chameleon in a Candy Store is how blunt the author is. His work is not only relatable but actually inspirational as well. I am halfway through this book & it's an utter work of are.

There's something about rooting for the bad guy that's just terribly exciting. This book gives an honest and raw look into the mind of a man with heavy demons while he searches for happiness, love and success while also giving insight into his upbringing and past that the last book left us questioning how he got to be the way he is.

I absolutely loved reading this book. I was swooned by the honesty in the first book "The Diary of an Oxygen Theif" ,so the very same day I bought the second book and read it. I enjoy the authors writing style. It's like he writes down EXACTLY what he's thinking. You'll know what I mean if you read it. I love the brutual honesty. Also, parts of this read literally made me laugh out loud. It's an extrodiary book and I highly suggest it.

This is not an ordinary book, it is a book that takes you away. The honesty and truth written by Anonymous cuts reality deep enough for you to see. I highly recommend to buy this book if you loved Diary of an Oxygen Thief.

Do not buy this book. I read Diary of an Oxygen Thief because I saw the first page posted on social media and it looked interesting. It was different, dark, honest and intriguing to see how this guy's head worked. However, Chameleon on a Kaleidoscope is so bad I'm actually angry that I wasted my time. Slight spoiler (although nothing great happens in this book to spoil anywhere, there is absolutely no plot), the author rants the entire book about how he is old and does not want to settle down due to obvious personal issues. He just wants to have sex with women. He lists each woman's name, degrades them to a sexual object, finds something wrong with them and then moves on to the next. You read about multiple girls. Finally, the author goes on to talk about how he wrote Diary of an Oxygen Thief and used an online dating website posing as a female to sell his book. It makes me wish I never bought it because from reading the book, the guy obviously is manipulating. This book is an insult to literature and authors everywhere who have worked so hard. And to make it worse, there are so many typos it looks like he did not even proof read it. Most of the time i had no idea what was going on, as he explained nothing and provided no context. The book ends as if the guy just got bored and had nothing else to rant about. You don't know where the book goes or what happens to the only other important character. Do not waste your money. He's basically just showing you how he wrote and sold his first book and it will just make you regret reading that one too.

After reading diary of an oxygen thief within two days. The author continues to amaze me with his beautiful writings, and not giving a shit. These books may be fiction, but writings like that are impossible to fake. Besides the point both diary of an oxygen thief and chameleon are such good books you'll get so addicted.

If there is a more intriguing opening to a novel than Diary of... then I haven't read it. Having read its predecessor in one long haul flight, I landed and bought Chameleon... I needed to read it. Needed. I cannot say more than that.

The one you love to hate and hate to love is back.. Anonymous is exposed as ever trying online dating, keeping up with his AA meetings. Well behaved, but.. for long? I guess you could say im a little obsessed. Highly recommend it!

Right off the bat, i came to a conclusion that huge parallels to Brief Interviews With Hideous Men by David Foster Wallace. The honest, brutal acknowledgement of the narrator’s own paranoia and psychopathy is really refreshing. It’s so nice to actually be reading for pleasure (and something not about ninth century Arab merchants).
After reading diary of an oxygen thief and being left with an ending that wasn’t necessarily clear, i was excited to find chameleon in a candy store.
Needless to say, i was not disappointed.
Knowing the reasoning why people act a certain way (learning someone’s backstory) is one of the reasons this book was so appealing to me. Getting to know the author in such a genuine way through his own narrative was so insightful.
It also made me think and question a lot of my past relationships and the integrity of the men i have dated in the past, but that’s besides the point.
This book is incredibly well written and hard to put down.

If you are looking for a GOOD READ, The kind of book you can laugh to yourself all day and cant wait to get back to, THIS IS IT.. this is the sequel to the amazing "diary of an oxygen thief" Alot of people cant stomach the authors dirty humor but if you are like me (sarcastic realists who loves the honest hilarious truth) this is your book! Similar to the diary of an oxygen thief (which is brilliant) his second book 'chameleon in a candy store' takes on the realms of the modern online dating world and his experiences as well as his thoughts and personal life, (very amusing and entertaining)! Any negative reviews coming from this book only shows you cannot handle the witty honest truth of an authors authentic novel... (rumors he has a third book on the way) very excited! Must read if you are an artist who likes to find beauty in the disturbed

This isn't you typical book. If you're looking for a mushy love story where everything makes perfect sense and all of the pieces fit together seamlessly by the last page, then you're looking at the wrong book. But if you're looking for something genuine; if you're looking for something raw, then you're in the right place. This book has a way of telling the side of a story that no one really wants to admit they're feeling. It shows the feelings about relationship that aren't so pretty to admit. The author puts his flaws, desires, and passions onto each page. It isn't always pretty, but like I said, it's genuine. This book captures the struggle of what is right and what will make you successful. If nothing else, this book will make you feel something; disgust, hatred, annoyance, interest, passion. Whatever it is, it's not a book you'll easily forget.

Every book lover NEEDS this in their collection! Amazing book! I'm a huge fan of this author, especially the mysteriousness of him/her & how they are so captivating by the words written in the book. Makes you want to turn the page even quicker! After reading Diary of an Oxygen Thief, I knew I had to read this. I wasn't disappointed. Cannot wait to see what this author brings to the table next!

I found myself constantly shaking my head and laughing at the messed up things the character said and did. Granted, his straightforwardness is what makes this story so captivating. You want to dislike this character, because we've all encountered someone like him...a straight up selfish ass but you still feel bad for him. This book gives you an insight of a guys weird dark cruel way of going through life to just ...survive. He's cruel humor is so straight out mean and raw, that you just laugh. You have to laugh!
I totally love it! Can't wait to read more from this author~

This book will have you binge reading. I wasn't sure if there could be anything that even competes with the first book, Diary of an Oxygen Theif, but I was just as captured. It is raw, bluntly honest, cringe-like, and magnificently written. Chameleon in a Candy Store makes you want to keep turning the pages. It keeps your attention all the way through. I definitely recommend reading this and can't wait to read the third book to this series next year.
