This is a very intriguing series. I don't normally read paranormal romance books but now that I've started this series I'm hooked. A team is in place to rescue the princess lead by her best friend's brother. The princess's kidnapper is sexy and she's in no rush to be found. First she has no prospects for a mate and now she has two. Will she choose her captor, who is immortal but one of her family's mortal enemies or the brother of her best friend, who could become immortal if he decides to risk a procedure that could kill him? Can't wait to see how this plays out! I would definitely recommend this series.

Based on the dwindling number of reviews, not taking into account readers who don't post reviews, it appears that some of the previously readers of this very intriguing Series have fallen by the wayside. How unfortunate, because I think that this is a Series worth giving a try. The plot while not wholly original is still intriguing. However, there are aspect of the plot that are original, such as the concept of the near immortals, their mission, their plight and the love scenes are really sensual. The story is told from the POV of several of the main characters which I find refreshing and enlightening. There are some editing error and typos but the writing is still pretty good. The writing is also very concise which I like. The character development is good and the story moves along at a consistently swift pace. This book , like its predecessors end in a true cliffhanger. Thus, the books need to be read in order for maximum enjoyment. Overall, the story contain action, romance, humor, a bit of drama and several provocative sex scenes. I liked it and plan to read the next book in the Series. If you like paranormal romances with action and steamy love scenes, among other thing, then give this Series a try but remember to begin with the first book. Happy Reading!

This was probably my least favorite book of the series so far. The first two chapters were detailing what we already knew, and there was a lot of recapping in general in this installment. Also the end of each of her books has 3 chapters from the next one. So each book isn't nearly as long as it looks.

Too much flipping from character to character - it was like the author was trying to build suspense, but really it was just annoying the reader. We go into this book knowing that a rescue will be attempted, then the entire book is basically the couple of days preceding the rescue attempt. I don't really need to know what every person is thinking in detail about the same exact situation. If this author would stick to a chronological timeline and leave each scene to only one point of view, it would feel less like a newscaster who keeps alluding at interesting things coming.

I'll try the next few books because my curiosity is piqued.

Dalhu has been raised to hate and kill. But ,,,he has dreams to fall in love and be respected. He's not a brainwashed solider , that's been taught to hate and kill the other side of the God's children. He's kidnapped Amanda and wants to win her heart. Both have never been with another immortal. Oh,,,, it gets very interesting......

This is a continuation of The Children of the Gods series, where parts one through three were dedicated to the romance between Syssi and Kian. In this next set of three, the romance between Dalhu and Amanda takes center stage while a continuing backstory and complex, interesting and significant world-building connect the two pairs of lovers. There is a bit of legend-dumping at the beginning that I wish had been integrated into the book, but the action picks up right where book three ended with the abduction of Amanda by the nefarious dark enemy, Dalhu.

Dalhu is a bad guy who has done bad things. It is apparent his past deeds are going to haunt any kind of future he and Amanda will have. We witnessed some of those horrible acts in the first three stories, but there were also hints of a conscience and possibility for enlightenment. Dalhu might be a salvageable Doomer. However, the hatred between the Doomers and Amanda's clan has blossomed for centuries. It will not be easy to overcome. Plus, Lucas teases us with another scrumptious and worthy warrior setting his sights on the lovely Amanda. Where will it all go? Be prepared to not find out in this book, but to pick up #5 as soon as possible.

Lucas connects ancient legends to current events in interesting ways. There are several overtly political statements incorporated, which I find rare for an urban fantasy/paranormal novel. The Doomers are obviously Muslim extremists wrapped in immortal clothing. "Someone like her [Amanda] would be probably stoned to death in the part of the world they controlled." Plot motivations seem ripped straight out of the headlines, or maybe a FOX newscast.

You will love the vampiric gods in this series. Each book is an exciting unique story of a couple's adventures within their clan world. I anxiously await each volume, then can not put it down until I am finished.
I.T. Lucas is masterful in weaving an provocative tale. I am addicted!

And another one bites the dust. Absolutely fantastic. Love this series. Just gets better and better. Brilliant storyline, dialogue, and author. I liked how this book had more humor also. The Clinton reference was too freaking funny! Keep 'em coming!

I really really enjoyed this book, I wish Amanda and Dalhu story would continue. I've read all the books up until the most recent and I can tell you that this couple by far is one of my favorites. I love and Dalhu and couldn't figure out his intentions at first when he was introduce but he has proven his worthiness. I love Amanda also and the goddess. I also appreciate the fact that Lucas intertwines the other character as you continue to read. Great Job! Keep them coming.

I love the fact the story continues on with Amanda and Dalhu, but this time their story isn't holding my attention like the first couple of books that cover Syssi and Kian's story. I feel some of the information is a little repetitive, and just a little slower paced than I would have liked. I understand also that the healthy sexual appetites are part of the characters, but if this book is to keep my attention I could do without a new "intimate scene" described in detail every other chapter, I feel this slows the book down. But all in all I do love the stories and Characters and the whole greek god that creates the backdrop for how these immortals have come to be! Keep up the good work I.T. Lucas, I can't wait to read more of the series!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SERIES! I was trying to find a series similar to the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward and this hit the nail on the head! I finished the entire series within two weeks and I cannot wait for Book 9 to release!

IT Lucas, please keep this story line going as long as possible. There are so many loose ends from Carol, to Andrew, to Bhathian, Anandur (needs a mate), etc... I cannot wait to see what happens to the rest of the clan!

This is the 4th book in The Children of The Gods series. I didn't find this book as loveable as the first three. I only say this because the main two characters in those books I fell in love with. However with this being said I would like to point out that this book focuses on one of the enemies of the clan and one of the main characters of the first three books. It gives great hints towards upcoming books, a good background of the newest character and an interesting love match that shouldn't be but is already heating up. This book wars a really good read with interesting turns and even some action. I can't wait to to read book 5 I'm sure I will come to love the second set of three as much as I did the first three.

Beginning of Amanda and Dalhu seems impossible! I really enjoyed watching this story develop and will read and read and read until I can read no more. Then I will go back to the beginning and read it again!

The male doomed who takes Amanda wants to have a family, he takes care of her and doesn't force anything on her, he wants to create a relationship. The rescue team thinks she has Stockholm syndrome and will be alright after it all sinks in but Amanda is sure she has real feelings for her family's enemy.

After finishing dark stranger I couldn't wait to find out what happens to Amanda and if Dalhu is really a nice guy under his angry and tough act. Amanda was my favorite character in dark stranger (beautiful and smart outrageous cougar), and towards the end I suspected Dalhu will turn out to be good (for Amanda). I wasn't disappointed. While Dalhu is bending over backwards to please Amanda, she starts falling for him but fights it and plans to escape. Meanwhile, Kian and Andrew are on their way to rescue her, and Kian plans to kill Dalhu. All hell brakes loose when the rescue team arrives at a very inopportune moment…

If you like romance and a nice twist on otherworldly then you will love this book. Its been years since I have read this much this fast. I love the way the characters are given time to revolve in each book. It never bores and you just want to keep turning the pages to find what is revealed next...I promise if romance and mystery is your fave you will love this series

Great read! The repetitive bits were a bit annoying at the beginning and the story was a bit slow but that could be due to only one or two characters per scene, so it makes sense. I love the direction the series is taking and all the possibilities that steam from it. I can't wait to continue reading the series.

I like Amanda but she's a little flaky, I don't understand how she went a couple hundred years hating the doomer's and just having one of their own killed by them to falling for Dalhu in like 36 hours, really?? I don't know about this one. Will have to check out how this works out in the next book.

Dark Enemy. did not whole my attention like Kian and Syssi too many voices. Amanda was a little to whiny and immature to be so smart. I kind of liked Dalhu but I'm not sure that a relationship could work between mortal enemies. The questions are will Andrew turn , will Kian forgive Amanda and if the Dimmers will track down the clan and kill them. Interesting . This series is for mature reader's.

This will be the last book in this series that I read. I read all the books with Syssi and Kian because I wanted to see how the plot with the Immortals turned out. BUUUT:

What I liked: The lore, and Amanda's personality. The lore this author creates is personally it's only saving grace. Tie that in with Amanda's strong willed, and actually intelligent personality and that was the only reason I was able to finish the book.

What I didn't like: the repetition, and turning Amanda into a soft damsel in distress. I would skip over entire paragraphs (honestly sometimes even pages) in this book because the author would go into depth about one idea on one page, have a different thought, then dive back in and rehash everything he just said on the previous page. I also don't like that Amanda seems to be going backwards. She is a strong, dramatic woman and by the end of this book she was worried about opinions of her. Maybe it gets better with the last two books of their installment, but sadly there isn't enough pull for me to want to read more.

I can't seem to stop and put the books down! I pity Amanda. She's got a tough decision to make...Dalhu or Andrew. I'm guessing though that she'll have fun finding out which one to choose. I'm on to the next book now ?

A great segue from the focus being on Syssi and Kian, to Amanda and Dalhu. They’re probably my favorite couple so far. Dalhu…it’s so easy to hate to love him! He really is a complex character, and oh man does he through you for a loop! There’s definitely more to this character than he is first presented, and I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

I am very intrigued by this series I T Lucas has created a great cast of characters. This is not a "Sparkly" immortal series. The storyline has a believable twist. I am sorry I have finished all 6, now I must await the subsequent installments. I'm not so patient. Get these books you will have a great read!

This is an awesome supernatural romance series. It falls under the category of some of the best out there in this genre. Plan on leaving the exact same comment on all the other books in the series because it is true of them all.

Too predictable and too much political nonsense! I read a lot of fiction and nonfiction wanting escape from one and reality from the other not a mish-mashed grouping of the two. The storyline isn’t well written and quickly becomes predictable and unredeeming a money grabbing by ending too soon to stretch to another unnecessary book. While I thoroughly enjoyed the first 3 books this one was horrible. I will skip the next two books as I will assume Amanda will pick Dahlu despite him murdering her cousin, whom she loved, and despite the brutal kidnapping. This makes no sense! Simply Move on to what will undoubtedly be Andrews story next or simply stop reading them anymore! If all are like 4 don’t bother with the rest!

I made it through the first three books despite the *constant* self centered whining, but this one adds a supposedly strong woman who is actively looking for ways to rationalize having sex with her kidnapper who also murdered her nephew. The story and concept are really good. If you can gloss over the terribly shallow characters (personality as well as writing style) it's worth a try. The sex scenes are okay, but you can get better ones with less preaching in other books. I honestly don't know what direction the preaching is coming from either. I would ignore it, but there are pages and pages of bizarre, long-winded life lessons to be had in this series.

Amanda and Dalhu, both totally opposites--he is on the bad side and she is on the good side, have developed a very deepening relationship. It will be interesting to see how this relationship will work out.

Love the storyline. I've read all her books in this series. The lost star is because the editing needs to improve greatly! It is annoying to see words spelled wrong repeatedly, words and punctuation missing, etc.

The government is overloading those who produce with unreasonable regulation and taxation while at the same time expecting the dwindling number of hardworking donkeys to haul on their back an ever-growing population of the dependent and non-producing. Less and less is produced, more and more is given away, and then there is no money left to keep armed forces that are formidable enough to act as a deterrent to the various upstarts.”

That is a direct quote from the book in describing America. Sorry but keep your political b.s. out of the book and just write. I have read as far as I'm going to now and you have lost me as a customer.

I found the sexual tension between captor and victim most disturbing, and after about 100 pages stopped reading. I don't have a problem with the consensual BDSM, but as portrayed here was just not okay. Very poor taste, and not believable. I will not be continuing with the series. Ick .
