This was a heartwarming story that will leave you with a great feeling. Diana Applegate is getting ready to announce her engagement to Brook Calhoun when her thought deceased husband, Tyson Applegate, arrives at her engagement party. He has a proposition for her. He wants to run for the Senate seat in Idaho, and he wants her by his side. Diana and Tyson have lots of adventures during his time on the campaign trail, they take in a stray cat, street urchin, and dog. This book, like I said is heartwarming, and at times humorous. Will Diana realize that she wants to stay with Tyson before it is too late. Great job Robin, I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

This was not your typical romance story. Rather than an arranged marriage or a typical courtship, Tyson and Diana were already married. I loved the way Tyson had to earn the trust of his wife back after years of abandonment. Diana has trust issues (for obvious reasons) and makes Tyson work to earn her love.
Diana is a strong character who has to learn to be vulnerable with her husband. Tyson shows his fortitude and strength of character as he works to gain her trust.
Overall, I really enjoyed this story. It was sweet and thoughtful, with just the right amount of spiritual issues present. Ms. Hatcher did another great job with this book!

This book is part of a series by famed author Robin Lee Hatcher. I would recommend that you read the others in the series before reading this one. You don’t have to but I think it will help you better understand the characters. The story itself is entertaining but not one of my favorites by this author. I thought the characters were not very well developed. They just did not draw you to them and that made it hard to want to keep reading about them. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the author.
I would like to thank the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.

This is not one of Robin Hatcher's best offerings. It is the tail end of a series. The premise is excellent. I thought with Hatcher writing, this will be a great few hours spent reading. I have no idea why some authors feel the need to keep repeating some characters' thoughts/feelings about their situations over and over. I kept thinking "Let's move on! Quit wallowing and do something." Frankly, I got bored by the 10th chapter and quit reading the book. I've got other books to read and I do not have time to waste with a mediocre novel no matter who wrote it.

I started reading Robin Lee Hatcher's books a long time ago and with each new book she writes, I am always so impressed with her ability to come up with yet another story that I simply have to read! This book was no different after reading the story blurb, it was so enjoyable. Christian fiction with depth, healing/comforting/satisfying stories and characters. It's refreshing to have an author with so many books to choose from that continues to write winning story after winning story. I've heard from other readers that were turned on to this author's books and wanted to read her past novels as well because she writes stories that nourish the spirit as well as entertain and fill the heart.

I did not read the first two books in this series but that didn't really hinder my enjoyment of Beloved. As I read this book, I wasn't sure who I wanted to cheer for. I like that bit of uncertainty in a book; it keeps me interested. Beloved also reminded me of the resourcefulness a woman had to employ in centuries past. In a world where women were dependent upon men to care for them, Diana was decidedly an independent mind. I liked that about her! This book also touched my heart with a message of love, forgiveness, and grace.
I received a copy of this book to review. The opinions shared here are 100% mine.

I absolutely love Robin Lee Hatcher and her Where the Heart Lives Series!
Even though this is the third book in the series, it can totally be read as a stand-alone.
Poor MC Diana!
Talk about a party-crasher…her man returns from the dead to reunite with Diana…but will she go for it or is he just using her to advance his political aspirations??? Is she willing to give him another chance?
This book hooked me from the beginning!
I love Robin’s writing style…I thought using the flashbacks to tell the story worked well!!
I love the themes of forgiveness, second chances, and unconditional love.

"To say the least, it was inconsiderate of Diana's almost dead husband to show up at her engagement party." This may very well be the best first sentence ever. And the rest of the story is just as good. This is the third book in the trilogy about the Brennan siblings. It is a great way to end the series. I like the way Ms. Hatcher gives us a glimpse of Diana's and Tyson's past at the end of each chapter. It is a great way to show their journey. I would recommend this book and this series.

"Boise City, Idaho
May 1900,
To say the least, it was inconsiderate of Diana's almost-dead husband to show up at her engagement party.
Conversations around the dinner table in the Calhoun dining room fell silent as guests began to notice the tall, dashing stranger standing in the doorway, his gaze fixed on Diana Applegate. He wore formal evening attire, as if he too had been invited to the festivities. But this was no guest.
Brook Calhoun, Diana's soon-to-be finacè, leaned toward her. "Who is he? Do you know him?"
"Yes." she answered, disbelieving the word as it came out of her mouth. "It's Tyson."
"Tyson...Applegate?"
"Yes."
"Great Scott!"
Tyson smiled at her from across the room, but there was nothing friendly about the expression. An odd humming started in Diana's ears, and she felt as though she was observing the moment from a distance. Was any of it real? Was he real? This couldn't be happening. It couldn't be. How could this be happening? Tyson Applegate was supposed to be dead. Missing on the battlefields of Cuba, his body never found. The court was scheduled to declare his death a fact tomorrow morning. But now, on eh eve of her expected freedom from the husband who'd abandoned her, he'd returned.
Very much alive." (pg 5).
In book three of the Where the Heart Lives Series, Beloved by Robin Lee Hatcher takes readers back to the late 1800's where Tyson Applegate returns home to find his wife on the verge of announcing her engagement to another man. She and the rest of his family had believed that he was dead and now he returns home to convince them all to give him a second chance. But how can you simply pick up the pieces of a broken heart left long ago when Tyson left every single one of them without looking back?
Now that he is running for the office of Senator as a write in candidate, he offers a compromise to Diana and her mother. If they will move in to his home, and attempt to act as his wife and mother in law for six months, long enough for him to win the election, he will provide them with all they will ever need in the way of money unless he can convince them that he's a truly changed man for the better and wishes to win the heart of his wife again. But is that even possible now after all this time?
I received Beloved by Robin Lee Hatcher compliments of Zondervan Publishers and Litfuse Publicity for my honest review. I did not receive any monetary compensation for a favorable review and the opinions expressed are solely my own. This is truly a novel about becoming a new person through the acceptance of Christ. When Tyson left he was searching for happiness and acceptance in every area except through God. When he found Him, he realized he couldn't spend his life running from his arrogant and controlling father and the new prodigal son returns home to face the consequences of his actions. What he finds there shows us all that redemption can be found if we are willing to take the time to see the changes God can bring about in everyone. I easily rate this one a 4.5 out of 5 stars and found myself rooting for Tyson all the way despite the odds stacked against him.

I enjoyed this book. The author did a great job of not only telling the story but making it come alive for the reader. This being book three in the series was just another great story to add it it. With romance, mystery, some humor and a little spiritual talk this is a great book for anyone to read.

This third novel in the series tied together all the loose ends of the Brennan family. The style the author chose, however, was a bit confusing for me. She used many "flashbacks" which I felt kept the story from flowing naturally. Even though the dates were included to help the reader know when it happened, I personally couldn't keep track of what happened and when.

Beloved from Zondervan is the final novel in a trilogy about the life journey of siblings on an orphan train. Dianna Brennan is the female protagonist whose is immediately thrown into turmoil in just the first few pages. I was hooked from the first paragraph and caught myself reading way past my usual bedtime. I couldn't wait to see what happened in her life!

My favorite part about this book was it wasnt about how these two met and fell in love but about how to rekindle that love. Which is something you dont see too often these days. I loved how the story began with Diana on the orphan train. That part made me get hooked instantly and I couldnt put it down after tha

This book was so fun to read. I was a little bit worried that I wouldn't know what was going on having not read the first two books in the series, but it didn't seem to matter. I am going to read the other two books because I just want to know more about the characters and their backgrounds. Once I started reading Beloved I couldn't put it down! I enjoyed this love filled adventure very much.
