As usual O'Reilly's books are full of interesting facts and personnel stories. Major part of the book surrounds the battle of the bulge and how it affected the defeat of the 3rd Reich. Full of archived photos that have brief descriptions. I wish that he would have gone a bit further describing how Berlin was divided with the Allies and Russians, east and west. The last part of the books goes on to describe what happens to the main players after the war ended. i.e., the generals and others.

This was not a new book in my opinion. This was a lame collection of excerpted chapters and paragraphs (verbatim) that were already written and in the chapters of the KILLING PATTON book. A cheap rip off. Basically , if you already have the KILLING Patton book, you already own HITLER"S LAST DAYS because the exact same writing is in the contents of the PATTON book- Absolutely every word of HLD was culled from KP chapter's that cover Hitler information - How lame of you Bill. How cheap and low can you go? Cheap nickel and dime scam to sell 2 books when only one was written .

If you didn't know about World War II this is a good summary and is more about the war than then the death of Hitler. I wish the author had put a section or paragraph on the Soviet claim that they had Hitler's skull and bones
The True Story of the Final Combat Mission of World War II :: Valley of Silence (Circle Trilogy) :: Shattered Silence (Darkstar Mercenaries Book 2) :: A Merciful Silence (Mercy Kilpatrick Book 4) :: Dropping the Atom Bomb and the End of World War II in the Pacific

This book was simply OK----actually a disappointment. This was my first O'Reilly book. I had heard from others that his books were good but somehow I was not too impressed with this one. Although I had not read any of O'Reilly's other books I got the impression from this one, that this book was just a continuation of His book---"Killing Patton."

Well organized and easy to slip into, I found a few new bits of information that made this book a constant pleasure. If you would like a thorough briefing on the end of World War 2 in Europe and Hitler's actions at key moments, read this book.

The book is a good read from the stand point of how the war progressed in the trenches and in the tanks. The book spends a lot of time rehashing Patton's heroism. Most of this seems to come from the book "Killing Patton". I expected more about Hitler and his last days of war planning and life.

Killing Lincoln was one of the better books I have ever read! Killing Patton was quite good but a shade behind Lincoln. On the other hand, Hitler provided nothing new and was a simple distillation of everything I have ever read on this subject. A weak and simplistic presentation of this important subject.

This is a rehash of Killing Patton, which I liked. Too short and simplistic considering so much already written on the subject. I enjoyed Lincoln, Patton and Kennedy. Jesus and this one were a waste. I want a refund.

It was all I expected and more, I am a Navy WWII Veteran, mu older brother was captured during the battle of the budge until liberated by Patton's 3rd Army. I am a history buff and I love the book I stayed up late several nights to complete the book. Thanks Bill O Riley I loved the book. I have also read Killing Patton and I think my brother was one of the lucky ones mentioned in the book.

For me, as an historian, there was not much in this book I had previously studied. However, for someone who had not known the details as this work relates, it is valuable and informative reading. Strongly recommended for the serious student of this era of history.

If you haven't read any of Bill O'Reilly's "Last Days of ________" or "Killing ________", then you are missing out. Simply written and with first person dialog whenever the information presents itself. Plenty of footnotes for further explanation. I've read them all and have pre-ordered "Killing Reagan" which comes out in September. can't wait.

LOVED IT!! I HAVE READ PROBABLY SIX (6) OF BILL O'REILLY'S BOOKS. I HAVE READ ALL OF THE "KILLING" BOOKS (LINCOLN, KENNEDY,PATTON, REAGAN, JESUS...) THEY ARE ALL QUICK READS......SHORT CHAPTERS AND ALWAYS FULL OF DETAILS THAT ARE NEWS TO ME. I AM CURRENTLY READING "KILLING THE RISING SUN".......AND IT IS ALSO EXCELLENT!
