The book looks like used not new, moreover, it is torn from corners and there was cut in the front cover. also there were like water spilled on the book seen on different colors of pages's side view. my doughtier was really disappointed as she likes to keep her books clean to the ultimate level.

Gr. 9 Student Review
If you are looking for a book that will motivate you and get your spirits up, this is the book for you. It is called Note to Self by Connor Franta. He is a youtuber, entrepreneur, and a writer. He is very successful and made his own success. His first book was a memoir called A Work in Progress. The book I’m writing about, though is a lot more raw because it is an open diary of his own stories and experiences. When writing it, he wasn’t even initially trying to write a book, it just kind of happened. That’s what I like about this book. Sometimes when writing, authors will fabricate things to make a better story. But with this book it feels real; there is no fabrication just real life. I would give this book 5 stars.
Connor is also really into taking pictures of things he finds would make a good picture. He puts pictures throughout the book. Each one to match with a certain theme of a part of the story. This is a really good effect to the book because sometimes the things you read about may be upsetting or bring you down and having a colorful picture can help keep you from getting down about what you’re reading. He also has poems throughout the book. This really helped because some of his chapters are kind of long and it helped to have a short little something to read.
This book was very motivational for me because it was real. There wasn’t any cliche sayings to make you cringe. He knows how it is, he’s been there and he makes it very real and just tells how he got out of it. His voice in the book was really just like he was talking to one of his friends, he made it kind of funny in places and serious in others. The book’s theme was just open and honest. The book started with him telling about things that make him happy and how the book started, and then later he gets into the feelings of it and there are sad parts.
Overall, this was a really good and empowering book for me and I would highly recommend this book if you are one who enjoys hearing other people’s stories and could use a little motivation.

This book is SO personal! I thought I knew Connor (and loved him already) but now I feel like I truly see into his life. His photos are amazing too!! If you are inspired by him as an artist and personality you are going to love this truly authentic, real, and raw collection of essays and poetry (omg his poetry)!

"Note to Self" by Connor Franta is truly a work of art. It's another book that when I read it, I couldn't put it down. The book overall is so beautiful ranging from the book cover to the design, and pictures inside. Connors ability to write poetry is incredible and can make the readers relate to his writings. Unlike his last book, "A Work in Progress", he becomes much more open, sharing much more about his personality and brain than his past and family memories. In my personal copy of the book, like many of the other books I've read, I've put small sticky notes on the pages, chapters, or poetry I found enjoyable. My favorite pieces and chapters from the book were patterns, lingering shadows, frames, and repeat this till you believe it. Connor should definitely continue his book writings because they have all been amazing so far!

The book was fabulous, but I really wish he would have gone deeper about his breakup to what happened, and what he did to overcome it, especially because he wasn’t an openly gay man until a few years later. Also, I wish he would have gave more detail and positive or negative feedback about his life, his personal life experiences, and how he managed to find the right inspiration to be the person who he is today. I loved the way he accompanied his story with powerful quotes and deep meaningful poems. Furthermore, I think It’s especially hard to purse a career, have a job you strongly dislike (but that you do ifor the money), pay bills, attend college, have a social life, and still be “happy.” I think today everyone is more busy than ever especially in this new technological era.

A well written book. It paints a picture so boldly and chronicles problems a lot of us face as we grow. With aesthetically please pictures, and short but sweet poems sprinkled throughout, it's well worth the read.

This book is very out and open. AWIP was mostly about family and life in california, Note To Self is almost the complete opposite. This book talks about things a lot of people wouldn't be so openly about for example, depression, a get away, a tough breakup. This book is a good book to think about life in a different perspective and see if you can relate to others. The poems are amazing as always!!! well done also would recommend listening to the audio or going to one of the NTS Experience stop, it's a really fascinating concept

this is most likely the best book I have ever read. not only is the photography and poems gorgeous, but so is the writing in general. each chapter has a beautiful meaning which either left me in tears or feeling better about myself. I sat down and read this book so fast because of how enjoyable it was. after I read I read the book, I went back and read it four more times! I 100% reading this amazing book even if you aren't a fan of Connor Franta.

Picked this up at random from Target. Being a new reader or Connor's, I loved every part of the book. I read it on a personal trip for a weekend and it really gave me a lot of peace, comfort and inspiration. A beautiful piece of art.

If your looking for something to capture your thoughts and really make you step back from life for a moment and think - this book is perfect for you. I can't explain how much this book has impacted me, and has actually inspired me to start writing in my own journal again. Connor is so great at captivating his audience, and laying it all out there for everyone to see. I promise you won't regret buying it.

Connor, you never seem to disappoint me with whatever you do. I've been a huge supporter ever since you were in o2l and now you're doing your own thing. A Work in Progress and Note to Self has shown me how much of a strong person you are. I know you can always get through the hard times and is capable of doing so. I can't wait wait for your new projects coming soon!! I'm proud of you!!! :)

Truly the best book I've ever read. Connor captured the true rawness and reality of the ups and downs life has to offer through outstanding poetry and inspiring essays. I have definitely cried many times while reading this. (which is a good thing, for me at least) I'm beyond proud of Connor for this new achievement! 100% recommend reading this book!

Truly and AMAZING book. I haven't finished reading it yet but it has inspired me to write so much poetry lately. My love and support for connor will never stop, he's such an amazing creator and writer who looks at the world in many similar ways as i do. I am a proud owner of both of his books signed and in hardcover! <3 (@BadReputatiom on twitter)

Honestly, one of the best books iv ever read in my entire life. It reflects so much on how I feel about life, the ups, the downs. It helped me see what's important and realise who I am, and want to be,as a person as well. Definitely recommend you try reading this book, and Connors previous book as well (a work in progress), both legendary!

I loved this book. When it came in the mail I was so exited I read it all that day and stayed up until 1:00am finishing it. It was so great and emotional and all around beautiful. The photography, poems, and stories are all perfect and I most definitly would recommend this to anyone.

I honestly do not like reading; however, Connor is one of my biggest role models (I fan-girl over him) and reading his books makes me dwell on what life is truly like for him despite his typical YouTube persona.

This book has been one of the best things I have read, it's inspiring and eye opening and so beautiful and raw. Raw in the good sense, you really feel the words and can relate to them. I'll definitely read it more than once and I will recommend it to anyone I can.

The book looks very elegant and unique. I have one question. When you placed the order did you ever get the words date pending and if you did when did you receive an email about the date it would arrive?

I purchased this book on a whim. The cover is beautiful and flipping through it, it seemed like an intimate look into another soul's life. I didn't know the author, or that he is famous on Youtube; my reading goal this year has been to read stuff that I wouldn't normally read. I wish I had just admired the book and not actually purchased it. Reading the philosophical waxings of a young 20-something isn't deep and profound at thirty. Its not endearing. I'm positive that this young man will look back at his book and cringe a little that he published at such a young age. I wouldn't publish my journal entries from a decade ago.
