Don't Care, Big Hair

Really cute!!! My Daugther who is 7, read this book to me!!! She enjoyed it also!! I would recommend this book especially for beginner readers. The book was really cute and relevant. Thanks to the author that girls of color need this book!!

This is a sweet book and should be read by anyone with big hair to all their children and all the kids they know with big hair. I enjoyed the skillful rhythm and rhyme of the story, which was my favorite part of the writing style.

I love how this little girl is proud of her big hair. It's great motivation for other little black girls to be proud of their hair and celebrate it's unique beauty. I love that the book rhymed and the colors were so vibrant. I'd love to read more from this author!

I love this book! Not only is the message great, but the illustrations are adorable. I bought this for the girl I nanny, who has been teased about her natural hair in the past by classmates. After she read it, her mom told me that she wanted to start trying different hair styles like "twists." All girls with natural hair should read this! It will inspire them to embrace their amazing beautiful hair :)

My daughter is 6 years old and she just read this whole book without my help. It's 1st grade reading material for sure. She just loves this girl because she has hair like her.. ready to ready another book like this with girls that look like her!!

Wish I had a book like this growing up. I hated my curls growing up but I didn't have very much to reference that big haired curly girls were beautiful and unique. I got this book for my 2 year old who has big beautiful curls and will continue to find sources like this to read to her.

I used my kindle unlimited subscription to read this to my girls (5yo and 2yo). They loved it and look forward to reading again. So glad there are books out there that encourage little ones to love the beauty they were blessed with.
