Nothing too over the top with the main character, he's actually more realistic than a lot of main characters in similar books. The whole plot is relatable and believable. The characters are interesting and entertaining. I enjoyed this book and will be checking out more. Thanks

Outstanding read. Good Intel on sources to consider real world for various prepper needs for short and long term survival! A real page turner. As a dog lover myself, I appreciated the role Opus played!

Sometimes I find good books that don't seem as good because of the narrator. That was not the case with this book. The narrator seemed to become one with the main character. This book was awesome and is a must read.

Compared to most survivalist stories, the author communicated clearly and kept the story moving along. Grammatical errors and inconsistencies were minimal. Unlike most of this genre, the lack of political ranting was a boon.

This book bills itself as a survival and preparedness story but it's more of a love story and a minor crime suspense story. The author spends a great deal of time going over preps made by the protagonist but it all goes no where. There is no survival element at all. There is no shtf. It was all unnecessary as the story quickly descends into a simple camping getaway with a couple of local meth heads stealing the guy's food who are quickly brought to justice, the end. But yeah, the dog was kinda cool.

It was nice to learn more about a favorite author, while enjoying a great story. RIP Beast, Opus did you proud!
Its hard to believe that the same person wrote the last installment of The World Burns. I finished that a few days ago and was very dismayed to find so many typos and mistakes. Did someone else write that? Did it not get seen by an editor?

This was not what I was expecting. I was thinking this was going to be a story about a prepped but not full dystopian. I kept waiting for the climactic event but they never came. This was well written and flowed but not what I wanted.

This book went nowhere. It was boring and repetitive and predictable. I found my mind drifting of as I was reading and could barely keep my mind on the mundane storyline. I hate a book that has not been edited fully, it just seems lazy. Honestly, don't waste your time and money on this type of poor work, we shouldn't encourage this poor workmanship.

While I enjoyed the story for what it was, the dog is actually at the center of interest. Some poor sentence structure and punctuation problems distracted me, but I knew what the author meant to convey. As is sometimes the case, light comedy saved the day.

I'm an avid reader. Several friends suggested I read some Boyd Craven. I researched his library and settled in One Man's Opus. I love dogs...

Very quickly I settled into Craven's writing style and began to enjoy the story. The main characters develop slowly, much in the same way lasting friendships take root. The birth of the prepper in Rick was so gradual that one day he just woke up ready. Tina is a modern independent woman. The kind everyone hopes to find for a friend or partner.

Opus is the glue that binds this tale together. Dogs! I fell for the story and will go on to book 2. A good writer paints pictures in our minds. I'll have to visit Michigan to see if my pictures are accurate.

One Man's Opus is a tale for everyone. Smooth, very smooth
