I went by the good reviews and downloaded this book. Unfortunately -- although I did read to the end -- I really did not like this story. Mainly, the characters are so awful. Not a single one, except two or so of the lesser ones, was likable. I felt like slapping Tamra, and anyway, she's so badly drawn I still have no idea who and what she really is. Her husband, same story. Flat as cardboard and in the end I knew nothing much about his character and personality. The daughter, ditto. And the story is all over the place. It is not the usual psychological thriller with believable twists. It simply goes off the rails and leaves the reader somewhat confused. I love a good psychological thriller with interesting characters and a believable plot, but this wasn't one of them.

A wife finds a pair of panties in her husband's pants pocket & naturally, she assumes that he's having an affair. She's sure that her husband is also guilty of a hit & run. There's lots of finger pointing, accusations & marital strife. But, she is mistaken. He was not behind the wheel. Can you guess who was?

This book was a fast read for me! I couldn’t wait to get to the conclusion to see if I was right about who had done it. I was and even though I guessed the end, I wouldn’t change a thing about the story itself. The pace is great and it takes the reader through a marriage of distrust. The one and only thing that I would change is the terminology. I read a lot of books by British authors usually set in England, so the correct phrasing works, but if you are going to write a book set in the US you should use the correct pharasing. We do not have rows, we have arguments and we go to the hospital not to hospital.

I give five stars because that is what this book deserves. Kept me guessing right to the end. Well written as I could not guess what would happen next. The writing I love with so many twists. Well done.

Spell bounding, kept me on my toes and the end was not anything I thought it would be. In fact I’m going to read another of her books to see if it’s a good as this one. Read the book straight through until the end!

The story kept me guessing to the very end. But, I’m only giving it a 3 because of all the f bombs. I almost didn’t finish reading it because the language was so offensive and in necessary. I won’t read any more because I’ve had enough f bombs.

I am a bigger fan of Natalie Barelli with each books I read. I thought she could not top her first book “until I met her” , one of the best written and original mysteries I have ever read, but i was Wrong: each book she writes is as good as the previous one. In this one the author’s game of deception is at its finest. The reader is artfully lead to figure who are the villains and who are the victims. I was prepared to be disappointed because I quickly guessed the identity of the alleged mistress and I expected her to be one of the villains, but on the last chapter the scenario completely changed in a totally logical and believable way. The book has an incredible and totally satisfactory finale.
Natalie barelli deserves more recognition and accolades than these super-famous (and frankly overrated) authors that are cited everywhere. If you liked “the girl on a train “ read Natalie Barelli’s books that are 100 times better!!

All I have to say is wow! I read this book in record time. It is super exciting and has a twist of an ending that I did not see coming. I highly recommend this book. It’s definitely one of my favorite novels and I read many books. I’m planning on reading her other novels.

This book had me guessing throughout its entirety! I had never read anything by this author but I will in the future. The tone was intriguing and had me questioning the heroine’s sanity a few times.

I could barely put this book down. I loved the pacing and all the twists and turns. I especially enjoyed the main character, Tamra. She wasn't exactly someone I'd want to be friends with, but I enjoyed reading about her. She had a wicked sense of humor at times. Glad I found this author. I'm currently reading Missing Molly, and I'm enjoying that one too!
