I bought this because I have 4 year old twin boys that kept saying the most hilarious things and I just had to write them down!! What better place than this super cute journal specifically for this need! I looked long and hard to find this and I am so glad I did!!! Thanks!!

This book is perfect to catch all those cute little things that your kids say! Each page has a space to put the kid's name, the date, and location of the quote. Then there is a space to write the actual quote. I can't wait to show this to my child when he gets older.

I use this book all the time to track the amusing things my three year-old says. It's great to have the quotes in all the same place. The book is well made and I like the ribbon book mark. I only wish that some of the pages had room to put 2-3 entries per page (the book has one entry per page) because sometimes I only have one sentence that I want to remember.

I love this book! The format is so easy to use and inviting -it is not a "chore" to have to write anything down. Every parent needs to have one of these. It will be so fun to look back on all of the quotes in a few years...

What a fantastic idea, and a great way to make note of your children's most comical comments and conversations. Seller was fantastic, prompt and reliable, excellent price! I bought one for my son, unborn son and my sisters children, can't wait to use it!

When our 2 year old started talking and saying the funniest things my wife started writing them down in a notebook and commented how she wished she could find a journal just for the purpose of writing down his comments. So I searched and came across My Quotable Kid and ordered it for her for Christmas. The book is much better than a plain notebook for many reasons: 1. It's in a special book just for that child and won't get mixed into a notebook that has different purposes 2. You can write down which child said it so you can use for multiple children 3. You can write where the child said the statement, who they were with, and how old they were. 4. It also has a hard cover which makes it more durable. My wife loves this book and spends her free time reminiscing about our sons quotes.

This is such a great idea. It has multiple places to put quotes of your kids, with date & age information. I love that when my little guy says something funny I can just grab the book and jot it down really quick. A must have for all mamas!

I am buying this book for all my friends/family that have kids. Super cute inside and perfect to write all those things that your kids say and that you don't want to forget. It's fun to look back and read all of it!!

I would recommended this book to all parents. It has been so fun capturing the funny things my daughter says. Prior to purchasing this book, I did not have a way to record all of the amazing and hilarious things she says. What a great way to keep memories forever!

I have been looking for a journal/book like this since my first born started talkkng. Was so happy to stumble upon this find. Have been so happy with it. Received it within two days, amazing price. Completely happy.

My daughter-in-law heard about this book from a friend who really enjoyed it and thought it would be a great way to document the little "pearls of wisdom" that pop out of mouths of her daughters. I ordered it as a surprise for her and she just loves it... wrote a quote in it the day she got it. It's a nice size and has plenty of room to jot down some of the I-can't-believe-she-just-said-that stuff that happens all the time. (To quote Art Linkletter: "Kids say the darndest things!") This journal is sure to become a treasured family item and I'm very glad I bought it. (When the girls grow up, they'll probably fight over who gets to keep it... maybe I should have gotten one for each!)

This item was requested by my daughter-in-law. Children say amazing things, and they grow so fast, it's hard to remember all the cute things they say --- this is the perfect item to record those things and look back on when they're grown.

I love, love, love this book! Each entry is given one whole page and there's plenty of room to write (even if you write big like I do). The book itself is a sturdy hardcover and small enough to keep close by at all times or to carry around in your purse if you're really adamant about jotting down every funny quip your child utters. My husband commented on how the colors remind him of Dr. Seuss and he's right, the tones are the same as what you find in the Seuss collection. The first page offers a place to place a photo of your child/children and besides writing down each quote, you can fill in information such as: who, when, age, and where. I highly recommend this book! We plan on purchasing more (though you can fit a lot in the book) and will share them with our son when he is older.

What an amazing idea! As a Mom, we want to remember everything our children say, but often times are so busy we forget after a day or so. This book is ideal. It has a place to write down your child's name, in case you have multiple, when and where it happened, and their age. Then you can record what was said. With all of this information, it is bound to take you back to the moment years down the road. This will be something I will treasure for years to come! It would also be a great baby shower gift! Something extremely useful, but very unique.

I was keeping my daughter's funny/sweet/etc. quotes in a simple notebook. This was working well, but I wanted something more "keepsake". (I never got around to filling in the baby book) This is a nice book, with sturdy pages and plenty of room to write the quote. My only issue is that there is one quote per page (along with space for date, place, and who said it). I generally don't need that much room, so there's a lot of empty space after I write. However, I think the catchy cover and keeping it in sight will inspire me to jot down more of those moments, which was the whole point. My daughter likes when she makes it in to the book, and she'll enjoy reading it years from now, as will I.

I was hoping that those few bad reviews were just a fluke but after writing 10 pages in my book, the entire binding in my book came apart from the pages too. the store sent another one and I returned mine but as soon as I opened the cover of the second book, the glue pulled away and this one is falling apart too! I know I'm not being rough with the book, but the glue and binding is so flimsy. So bummed because it is such a cute book and such a cool idea and I really want to put all the quotes I've been writing on post-its in one place.

I saw this book in a little store in Omaha, NE. I didn't have space in my luggage to bring home 2 copies for my daughters, so I ordered it from the store.com. It's a great little book to write down all the funny or precocious things your kids say. I love the format. It's fairly small, so easy to store on any bookshelf. I wish I had had a book like this when my kids were small. Baby books just don't have the needed space to write down all the different things that come out of your kids' mouths.

I asked for this book from my sister for my birthday and it arrived yesterday. I started writing in it this morning and after writing 3 pages, I noticed that the binding has come almost completely apart from the cover of the book!!! I am so sad and do not know what to do since I have already written in it. What a disappointment since it is SUCH a wonderful idea and I know I will use it a ton!

***Edited my review to say that the store was absolutely amazing about the return! I simply entered the order number on the returns page. I thought it would be such a long process because it was a gift and I didn't have my order slip but it was anything but long. They sent out a new book immediately. I wrote this review on the 6th and my new book arrived today (the 9th). Way to go, the store!!! The new book looks perfectly attached, by the way, so I hope the first book was just a fluke.***

When I first saw this at the bookstore, I loved the idea, especially since my 4-year-old son is at the age where half the things he says are hilarious (the other half are maddening). I already have a few blank journal books at home and thought that I could just use one of those to write down what he says. And I could do that. But I like how this book already has a cute graphic and title on the spine whereas a standard writing journal has nothing on the spine (and would require too much DIY for my taste to add a title on there). The blank pages of this book have lined paper like any other journal, but the lines are contained within the signature quote bubble like on the cover. I like that the pages have different sized quote bubbles, some with 2-3 bubbles on each page, to accommodate recording a longer anecdote or for a pithy statement. I keep it in my kitchen to have on hand, which is great since the cover isn't fabric but a wipeable surface that works well for any mom who needs to manage fussy children and dinner on the stove, while also trying to write down her child's witticism before her short-term memory kicks it to the curb. I think the price is a bit much, but when you compare that to how much a standard lined journal costs, it's not that much different.

My sister bought me this book about a year ago for Christmas. I LOVE IT. My kids were just about to turn 4 and 2 when I got it, and though the book seems to be only for one child's quotes (since there is a space for one kids' picture), it is perfectly usable for more than one child. I started out just quoting my son (the older child) but as my daughter becomes more and more verbal she says some pretty funny things too. Some of the best quotes I've written down were conversations between the two toddlers. :o)

I love the colors of the journal and the fact that there is no pressure to keep up with a baby book or a specific line per day like some journals. If I don't record anything for a month or two at a time I don't feel guilty or have large gaps in the journal, I just pick up on the next blank page. There is a space to write "who" was involved in the quote (speaker, who they were talking to, etc.), the date, where the quote took place, and a large space for each quote/conversation. I think there is more than sufficient space for each quote (especially for funny little quips by toddlers) so sometimes it feels a little wasteful to use up a whole page for a tiny little quote, but if you need a lot of room it is there. I just wrote another quote in this a few days ago and began reading some of the things I've collected from my two children over the past year. My daughter is almost 3 now and it is amazing to go back through and read how her language has changed over the year too from one word responses to full sentences.

Restaurant manager: "And what is your name?"
Daughter (at 2 yrs, exclaims her favorite color): "PINK!"

I post things to Facebook or send emails to family occasionally to tell funny things the kids say, but I'll never go back on facebook to remember and record all of these things. It is great to have all the quotes recorded in one central place. I just leave the bright red book sitting out on an end table and write in it whenever I find something they say particularly amusing.

I love this book I would buy it as a gift. I've told many a friend about it and have recommended it to them. When my copy fills up, I'll probably buy another one. Yes I could just as easily write these in a spiral notebook, but it really does help me to have a specific journal for it.

I gave 6 of these books as gifts to the parents of children in my home child care. The kids were always saying the funniest things in Care and at home so I thought this was the best way for us all to capture and help the child remember how special they have always been. These books made the parents so happy now and I know will make the children equally happy in the future knowing how cleaver and funny they were growing up.

I was told about these books by my sister in law who says she buys these as a gift for every baby shower.
It's a book that parents may know about but may not have the money to buy themselves because of the expense of raising children. So be a peach and surprise them with it. You'll make them very happy and maybe help a child through difficult years of adolescence to remember their true self and character.

buncha moms commenting on here. does it really need to cost this much for a couple of pages to write things your kids say on? save time and get a book filled with blank lines pages. this is way overpriced. anyways, we have 3

I got it, and it immediately fell apart, which was disappointing.

However, I called the publisher and without question, they shipped me a new one.

I'll buy it again, because I know that if it happened again, they would rectify the situation right away!!

This has become a treasure in our home, ranking among the top 3 things we intend to grab in case of a fire or emergency! We are able to remember countless funny quotes of our 5 children because we now have a place to write them down. Definitely a must-buy for anyone with kids!!

This is a favorite in my bookshelf! I am divorced are co-parenting well. Her dad and I pass the book back and forth to each other and it has been a great way not miss out on the things that come out of her mouth!

I wanted a book where I could just jot down the funny things my daughter says. You always think you'll remember those things, but truthfully I know I won't. Each page has spots to write down the quote, who said it, and when or under what circumstances. This is perfect for keeping all your funny quotes in one place if you have more than one child because you fill in the "who said it" part. I know I am going to love looking back at this in the future!

I received this as a gift because I frequently post the cute things that my son says on Facebook. I'm an avid scrapbooker and journaler, but this makes keeping these precious moments SO EASY and it's SO CUTE! I'll use it even though I would keep these things anyway...can you imagine how wonderful it would be for someone who didn't have the time or inclination to make a book themselves? EXCELLENT idea.

This is a great "diary" for recording all the cute and funny things your kid(s) say. I have tried several other formats and have found this one to be the best. The book is very well made and durable and the pages are clean and simple and fun. Highly recommend.

I ordered several of these for my daughter/daughters-in-law to write down 'quotes' they would treasure as their children mature. These were very nice quality journals and I am sure they will be used many times.

This book is adorable and perfect for capturing the everyday, hysterical things your tiny person says. It's a great size so it's easy to keep out and handy at all times. I love that you can put a photo in the inside front page. It's just really well made and something I hope she'll treasure forever.
