I'm a huge fan of PNR and this book sounded so appealing!
Let me just say- it didn't disappoint!!! Waking the Watcher is unique, enthralling and keeps you glued to the pages until the very end!!

You will seriously fall head over heels in love with Galen, Reese, Devin and Sariel. You'll be enamored with the events, twists and sacrifices that are given for those they love. And you'll find a few new book boyfriends in the mix!!! Swoon!!! Sexy sexy sexy...... LOL LOL

Trust me, if you are a PNR fan- you will want to grab this book!!!! It's so good. I can't stress enough how much I recommend this book!

This is my first book by Kim Loraine but it won't be my last. This is unlike any other paranormal story I've ever read. Loved it and can't wait for the next one! I love paranormal romance but this one hit it out of the park. I could t out it down and was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened. The relationship between Galen and Reece was a highly unique one. Throw in Sariel and you have a challenging and crazy trio. I was happy, then sad, then I was cringing, then laughing and hen whew! fanning myself from the heat!! You won't regret this 5 star read!!

Clearly I do absolutely no justice to a book when I read it because after listening to the Audiobook I feel this book should get all the stars and more.
The audio of this book sucked me in and kept me enthralled by every word. Kim Loraine knows how to write sexy and she knows how to write feels. I'm totally in love with this book!!!!

I love me some supernatural so was eager to get stuck into this one. I'll admit when I started it I thought it was going to be the usual vampire falls for a human story with the usual tropes but I was pleasantly surprised. If you're looking for a book that puts a new spin on the supernatural, look no further.

This is an extremely fast-paced read with some pretty amazing twists. There's so much anticipation moving quickly from one scene to the next. It took a couple chapters to become fully engrossed as at first it kind of seemed like a solely erotic book with very little story but I quickly realized my mistake and that the seemingly fast-forwarded format set a great pace to get caught up in this whirlwind of a pretty dramatic love story that kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. The book moves from one engrossing event or dramatic realization to the next so quickly that half the time, I never really paid much attention to where the characters actually were.

This book is not really a paranormal book. Sure there are vampires and angels and vampire/angel mashups but what this really is is romance in the purest sense of the word. Galan and Reese s love is deep and old, unshakable and true. Tears started running down my face long before the book was over. The things these characters are willing to do for love, including Devin and Sariel are stunning. There is mystery and treachery epic battles and truly epic love. This is definitely going on my reread list

I am a complete sucker for a vampire story. Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles was the first series I fell in love with and have loved the genre ever since.

This is my first time reading anything by Kim Loraine, let me say I think she could be the next Anne Rice. This story is complex and new. It's so hard to find a story that hasn't been done before. I've not read anything quite like this and I love it. Vampires and Fallen Angels are such a great combo and this book has the best of it.

I had a really hard time putting this down and "adult" for a little while. I cannot wait to see what Kim has in store for us next!

I'm a little late I suppose jumping on the bandwagon for Kim Moraine books but I am so glad I found them. The first book in this series was amazing. Enter a virgin girl named Reese and a Vampire named Galen. Fireworks explode obviously because who doesn't love hot sex with a Vampire. This book is a page Turner from start to finish. Read asap

This was a very different piece from Kim and I was thrilled at how well written it was. She never ceases to amaze me with her books. Galen and Reese will keep you wanting more. Their story takes you through a roller coaster of emotions. Well done Kim!

I Loved all the characters. Galen, Reese and Devin have wonderful relationships. The passion between Galen and Reese is thick and the sex is hot!!! And Devin's sacrifices just make you fall in love with him, too. It didn't disappoint!!! Waking the Watcher keeps you questioning how the story will end!! I loved this book so much and can't wait for more!!!

This was my very first Kim Loraine book and I absolutely adored it! I listened to the audio version and it was one of the best I've ever listened to. The dual narration was something I had never listened to before and I am now spoiled and want all the books to be dual narration!

O.M.G.( Oh My Galen) !! This is not the genre I ever read but I found myself glued to the pages from page 1! This is the story of Reese and Galen! I immediately liked Reese and who doesn't like tall, dark and sexy Galen! I read this book from cover to cover, I couldn't put it down! If you like this genre, you will love this story and if it is not your usual genre ( like me) please dive in and see for yourself ! I honestly cannot wait for the next book!

This is the first book I have read by Kim Loraine and it will not be my last! I loved this. It was unlike any other vampire / paranormal romances I have read, which I loved! I really loved Galen, he's sexy and swoony! I loved Reese, at the very beginning I wasn't sure about her but after reading more, I loved her! They had amazing chemistry and hot hot sex scenes! I loved how much Reese loved Galen! I did feel a little bad for Sariel. I can't wait to read book two Denying The Watcher!

I really wasn't sure what to expect when I started this one but was blown away by the story. It was exciting and most of all unique which is what drew me in the most. The characters were very well developed and I just could help but adore Galen!!

I really liked this book! I liked the story and the women of the characters. There were a few things I didn't care for; the roommate, Trisha, and Andrea. I also thought that Reese was little too wishy washy in the beginning but she strengthened up towards the middle. I thoroughly enjoyed the story.

This book was very different than any other PNR I’ve read, and I loved it. In my opinion, I think you should go into this blind. I didn't read any other reviews and I'm happy with the results. Wow this book had me from chapter 1. The Audio is amazing. Galen is an Irish vampire who taken by surprise when he meets Reese. Galen and Reese have this unexplained chemistry and so drawn to each other. Galen is unaware he has a Watcher till He meets Reese. Galen and Reese have their lives turned upside down. Just be prepared to fall in love with Galen. Kim Loraine did an amazing job writing this book, the history and research of the locations.

This book is quite captivating from the first chapter. The characters are believable, vulnerable and engaging. I really enjoyed the pace of the story though there seemed to be large time gaps in the story. The only concerning thing was how neatly everything wrapped up after the climax. I am eager for the next book in this series.

Fighting their attraction and fighting against their enemies they finally come together in the most amazing way. The ending will not disappoint! I'm certainly hungry for more.

It's been some time since I've read anything to do with vampires. But I liked it, and the mix of the angels within. I hope the next book shows more of them!

I can't say how much I loved Galen. His and Reese's story hooked me to this book from the beginning. I couldn't put it down until I was done. Waking the Watcher had it all for me. The swooning romance and the steamy scenes. I loved how Kim took the story and when you think you know what's going to happen, she gives you a twist and goes a different direction.
This story starts with Galen as a vampire until he meets and connects with Reese in a completely different level than anyone else. This connection to her makes her hard to resist to Galen waking up feelings he hasn't felt in over a hundred years but also waking the Watcher living dormant inside of him. And they both need to feed.
Sariel the Watcher is a fallen angel who is desperately looking for his soul mate. But what happens when he becomes so desperate to have her and Galen wants to keep her too? They must both work together regardless of their own battles when the danger of the other watchers out there put Reese's and their lives at risk.
Totally recommend this book to anyone looking for their next PNR. Who doesn't love an Irish vampire and a hot fallen angel rolled in one?? Can't wait to read more from Kim Loraine!! Would definitely love to know what happens next with Devin and Sariel ❤

Loved this book!! In it, there’s a love triangle between only two people- try to figure that one out. And how do you choose which man you love when they inhabit the same body and neither is human??

The main character has lived a sheltered life, never been with a man, never felt that spark or wanted to until she met the dark brooding vampire, who is awakened in more ways than one from her mere presence. Lust or love at first site, they both try to deny it and fight their attraction but circumstances keep putting them in each other’s paths.

Nice genre switch from an author who tells awesome stories!!

Oh my goodness, Waking The Watcher blew me away! This unique twist on the paranormal made this so much more than another vampire romance. I was riveted to every page from the very start, so much so that I bought the audiobook so that I could continue with the story when I had to put my kindle down to work. Galen was so much more than your average vampire hero. The beautiful true love between him and Reese and the sacrifices he was willing to make, along with all the battles he face just for her left me with tears in my eyes. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book!

This book was really good its not your typical vampire romance book it has twists in it that you do not expect. the story line was really good. I enjoyed this book, its a must read.

The characters are well developed and the beautifully written words encourage you to root for them at every turn. I read every word, trying to anticipate what would happen next. Without fail, Kim Lorraine surprised me with twists and turns, angst and romance.
I unexpectedly fell for Devin, a secondary character, and I can’t wait to read the next book so I can delve into his world.

Kim Loraine has done it again! Different from her is usual thing but she totally nailed it. A true masterpiece of fiction. I was so excited to finally get to read my advanced copy that I couldn't put it down once I started. She puts so much emotion and substance into the characters that they seem to leap off the page.
Galen is intense and broody. A true alpha vampire. Reese is a strong female character with plenty of challenges to overcome.
I absolutely loved this new and interesting twist on vampires and angels. I could never be so imaginative. I can't wait for more from this series. It will be one not to missed!! 5 stars!

When I first saw the cover, I thought it's a love triangle between a male angel (obviously due to the watcher reference on the title), a female and another male. When I started reading, I said to myself: "okay, so the other male is a vampire named Galen, I wonder what the angel's name would be and at what part of the book will he make his appearance?" Then BAM! Wouldn't have thought of that sudden twist in the story! That was certainly unexpected and made the story more interesting.
Kudos to you Ms. Kim Loraine. I'll be looking forward to reading the sequel, Denying the Watcher.

Love the story how ?earth has not only humans but vampires, and angels. A disorganized war is starting and sides are being taken. Deals being made. Look forward to the next story of this series. The Audible was better than most because they used female and male voices and it was like the old radio shows they had when growing up.
