What a wild ride –I knew that Sarah and Abe’s story would be emotional but wow! I was taken on their journey in their relationship –their past and how that ended painfully and then how they got back together and kept in each other’s lives. That hadn’t really opened themselves up to each other the first go round in their marriage and when they got divorced, it was painful and yet the love was still there. Abe made a lot of mistakes in their very short marriage and regretted that he didn’t try harder to keep his wife Sarah. Sarah suffers from insecurities and that doomed their first marriage—when they end up back together , its due to that push/pull and this go around, the passion and heat is still simmering and burning between them. That sexual chemistry has always been there—the emotional angst is also present and weaves its way throughout the story. The twists and turns keep the reader on this story and the twist that gets this couple back together but not married kept me entertained. I felt for Abe because he had his demons he was fighting yet his love for Sarah made him continue to go and fight harder while Sarah comes to realize that this go around is worth opening up and her being more open about her past. This was a lovely ending to the series and I was so sad that this series is ending. I am going to miss all the characters but it looks like there is a spin off in the works and I cannot wait to read that. The author did a great job addressing some difficult topics that do come up in everyday life. This may not be something not everyone may like but I have to say, this was a good read and a great way to end the series.

My rating: 5.0 stars *****

Sarah and Abe’s story was one that I had been waiting for, since the first glimpse of this couple, all those books ago. It was obvious that the troubled rocker was hiding something, and that his beautiful wife had more to her story too. What I wondered was, would these two be able to overcome whatever skeletons were in their closest, as well as past hurts, and try to give their marriage a second chance?

I read parts 1& 2 of the book with a lump in my throat, because my heart hurt so much for Sarah. Not only because of the miscarriage she suffered (which was mentioned in the previous book – Rock Redemption), but also because of how alone she felt, even though she was married to one of the most famous rockstars in the world. She had felt isolated in her marriage with Abe, and after she lost baby Aaron, she felt alone in her grief.
In her grief though, it was Abe who was most able to understand and help her. In these tender moments of understanding, I finally saw the Abe that Sarah first saw, before the drugs and alcohol turned him into someone else.

I also liked that even though this was a second chance romance, where the couple had previously been married and separated that Sarah still made Abe work for his place back in her life and heart. It wasn’t all Sarah taking though, Abe wanted to be the kind of man that Sarah deserved, and the husband that he should have been the first time around. Some of the dates that they went on were so romantic and swoon-worthy, and I’m glad that Abe stepped up to the plate, and wooed Sarah the way she deserved.

Abe: “I’m not letting you go.” It was a whispered promise. “Not this time.”

I found parts of the story a little predicable; the driving force between Sarah and Abe getting back together was obvious from a mile away. However this didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the story. I actually quite liked that aspect of the story, and I was glad to see Sarah’s heart let go of some of her past pain, and begin looking forward to a happy future.

I thought this was a fantastic ending to the SchoolBoy Choir story, we got to see a few loose ends tied up, and most importantly we got to see the couples get their HEA’s.

Shel: I'm gonna be honest here and tell you that this book is way more emotional than I expected. It's not that the other books in this series aren't emotional but I guess I remember them as sexy and fun and only emotional, at times. Court: Girl, but remember all of the hints we got along the way? But, if you haven't read the other books in this series, because it is not required (though recommended) I tell you that we've been waiting for this installment for a long time... Shel: I'm telling you this for two reasons:

Shel: 1) I think anyone who is interested in reading this book and has recently suffered the loss of a baby might feel either very comforted by sharing your loss with a fictional character or you may be too vulnerable and I think that's something to consider. Court: Good point. I do like how Nalini Singh handles this particular thing, so hopefully it can be used as a way to help. But, having been unable to read books for their content after a different kind of loss...I understand.

Shel: 2) I like the emotional punch this novel is packing. I wasn't necessarily prepared for it but I like it, a lot. Court: I was incredibly surprised by how emotional I felt by how Abe was during their marriage. That was hard. I like how not perfect they are, and that it was brutally honest...and hard to read, but I also wanted to kick his butt!

Shel: I love how steadfast Abe is and how he takes all of the verbal and emotional hits that Sarah dishes out. He is unflinching in his honesty and how he feels about her. I also appreciate how Sarah is very guarded and protective of herself--and how she realizes any contact with Abe is a slippery slope ..that she can't seem to quit and eventually doesn't. She keeps setting these kind of mental conditional clauses that will allow her (or him) to get out of the relationship and I think that's just such a real thing that we do. We guard our hearts from hurts by telling ourselves that if this or that happens, we'll exit the relationship; or we tell ourselves that this is just a temporary thing in an attempt to enjoy what's happening and buy some time before it's over. I guess what I'm saying is that considering how hurtful Abe had been to Sarah in the past, I completely understood her coping mechanisms and know that many of us would have done the exact same thing she did. As for Abe, his obvious love and patience with Sarah, along with his desire to not give in to his demons, completely won me over--and after reading about what a douche he'd been to her, it's pretty amazing that he did, but he TOTALLY did.

Court: Abe's journey was raw, hard to read, I'm positive it is hard to live with as a witness to substance abuse and addiction...and even harder to overcome for those addicted. I really enjoyed this novel for how it handled some things, and left some things to our imagination and not so hard for Abe to be redeemable. He toed the line, for sure, of no return but the journey to seeing if he will or won't cross it was one that I really enjoyed and will remember. I also really enjoyed the way that the other band members joined us in this book. Weddings, weddings and more weddings!

Shel: This final book in the series had the perfect balance of emotion, angst, and sweetness and then you add in multiple looks at the characters from the previous books and it's a fantastic last book. (Also, take a look at the author's note at the end of the book and you'll see lots of goodies and good news. ) Court: Ditto, this series was our first foray into Nalini Singh's work and world, and we are not disappointed (though we are that the series ended!) and cannot wait to see what comes next!!!

I have loved this series and I’m sad to see it end, but what a way to do it! We get everyone’s happily ever after in this book and it was a long agonizing wait for Abe to finally get his. Like all the books before it, this one had every element of a wonderfully woven story, humor, a little heartbreak, and a whole lot of sexy. It wasn’t as angsty as I expected it to be, it was just the right amount to keep my spirits up and not let the darkness of their pasts get me down.

Sarah is an awesome heroine. She never annoyed me or made me want to scream at the kindle “why are you doing that??” She figures out how to be strong and independent all on her own, learning who she is and how to be comfortable in her own skin. That doesn’t mean she has no insecurities, she’s human after all. This made her so real. Her hopeless romantic side connected with me and I melted right along with her every time Abe did something sweet. In a lot of books, I feel like the heroine can sometimes drag out the fear to a point where I just want her to stop with the agonizing pity party, but Sarah never “punished” Abe, she was simply guarding her heart and for damn good reason. For as long as her fear kept her holding out, she never pushed Gabe away, she gave him the opportunity to redeem himself and it was so worth it.

Abe, wow, that man sparks all kinds of feelings. Despite how much I hurt for him at the loss he suffered, I hated how he treated Sarah before they were married. One of the things I loved most in this book though, their past consist of only a few chapters. The rest of the book is dedicated to their rebuilding of their relationship. Seeing the regret he harbored over his previous actions and his determination to do it right this time around, I was a total sucker and fell for him. His openness and honesty were admirable and the way he used his knowledge of loss to help comfort Sarah over hers, to know she needed someone who understood the life and death of someone you love, no matter how brief their life. He understood that they existed and it was something you come to accept, but you’ll never truly “move on.”

It’s really a beautiful love story and I was addicted to these two early on. It didn’t hurt that they were a complete explosion of hormones either. The sexy times in this book will have you reaching for a fan.

I hate to say goodbye to these characters I’ve come to love, so I’m stoked that the author’s new series will give us a chance to revisit them a little. But, I won’t leave these rockers behind. This 5 star read is on the re-read shelf right along with the rest of the series.

"...angry. Always so angry. At fate. At God. At Sarah.
She'd left him, wanted to divorce him. Even then, he han't realized he should be begging and crawling on his knees to make up for what he'd done, how he'd abandoned her."

Rock Wedding, like the books that came before (Noah's most of all), is deeply emotional. The story tugged at my heartstrings, made me soo mad at Abe and terribly sad for Sarah. We already knew that these two had history. A past that ended very badly because of Abe's anger issues and drug/alchool abuse. I don't usually like to read second-chance romances, they're not my cup of tea. I am more of a successful-at-first-try romance reader. However, Sarah and Abe's story has grown into me since the first time Nalini wrote about them. Finally, here, I had the satisfaction to read the happy ending I was waiting for. *sighing-happily*
As usual, with Nalini's novels, the reader can't keep the distance from the story and its characters. They are always soo good! Creating whole, relatable, accaptivating characters is this author's strenght, for sure. They draw you in, keeping you under, breathless. And you despar fot them, hope for them. Even if in this book some of the author's choices are quite "simple", in the end they are what I wanted to read to have the perfect ending (I can't say more if I want to keep a spoiler-free review ;) ).
Another plus is that this is not only Sarah and Abe's story. The beautiful thing about this series is that we can also follow the other MCs because Nalini creates that feeling of a family that grows from book to book (very much like the Psy/Changeling series).
Unfortunately, this is the last novel in the Rock Kiss series and I am feeling sad and happy at the same time. Sad that this has ended, but happy for the new stories to come (Nalini has promised new contemporary romances...she has much to write with Gabriel's brothers. Yay!). So, thanks Nalini for another beatiful read and... to new adventures!

"The loneliness was orribile, but I guess I'd been burned so badly that I thought it was safer to keep my distance from people in general. Until you."

Fourth book in the “Rock Kiss” series by Nalini Singh and finally Abe’s book! I waited for him since the beginning of this series, despite my love for all other components of the rock band Schoolboy Choir. Abe, with his character so tormented and full of mysteries was one that struck me the most.

Each book in this series tells the story of one of the group members. They could also be read as standalone, but I sincerely suggest to follow the order in which they were published, to get to really know these wonderful young men and their mates. Their bond is unique, true and their friendship remained intact over the years, without being undermined by the repercussions of being rock stars.

Abe is definitely one of them who has more problems, also related to his use of alcohol and drugs to hold off his demons. In several of the previous books you can see him to slip further into the abyss, and you can sense that despite being divorced Sarah, the things between them weren’t finished, but what had happened between them causing such an important fracture was a mistery to solve.

Sure it may seem the same old story story, but the difference is in the fact the story is written by Nalini Singh, who I consider a true master at telling amazing and emotional stories which also facing delicate and poignant topics.

And it is the Abe I saw in those moments that literally made me fall in love with him. The sensitivity of this character, that same ability to “feel too much” that threatened to take him to the self-destruction, but this time with Sarah the same ability made sure he could play for the chance to win her back, to let her know how much he loves her, being close to her. Abe and Sarah’s relationship is also a very physical, sensual, that’s never been the real issue between them, or perhaps it was the glue that had allowed them to stay together during their marriage, despite Abe did everything to hide, so well his feelings for Sarah, allowing his pain and his fears to got the upper hand on everything.

I’m not ashamed to say I cried with them and I was amazed by the beauty of some simple gestures, thoughts or words of Abe for his Sarah.

A wonderful series in which its author believed so much to want to carry on her project through the selppublishing on her own and she was right, because “Rock Kiss” series is really amazing.

I'm a big Nalini fan but my experience with her is paranormal. I'm a Psy-Changeling groupie, love that series but I'm possibly more than a little in love with Vasic (Shield of Winter #13). She knows this, I've told her, we're good. So, obviously this girl is new to a Nalini world where no heads are blowing up, no one's shifting...and, I start with a book at the end of the series. But seriously, I was so intrigued by the blurb, I had to read it, had to dive in.

I was not disappointed. A second chance romance is the best, this author's is better. Abe and Sarah's shared history and before and after moments make the story richer, more meaningful. I can best describe the book this way -

Loss
Addiction
Soul-destruction
Pain
Strength
Realization
Hope
Faith
Trust
Love
Redemption
Bliss

I almost had to put my kindle down (or throw it) and just stop at about 20%. It was too much, I struggled with how much I was feeling for Sarah, for Abe. The loss, the pain, was overwhelming. I was SO MAD at Abe and how he treated Sarah. Seriously, when he called himself an "a$$hole", I agreed. Almost had a t-shirt saying this printed for him. I was so close to giving up on him, so close to telling Sarah not to risk her heart and just move on. I guess I forgot to tell him how I felt. A good thing because he freakin won me over! The romance, the WOOing, so perfect. Their coming back together, quietly beautiful.

So glad I took the chance on this book, it ROCKS! The secondary characters were awesome and the title "Rock Wedding" is perfect but I'm not going to spoil it and tell you why! I am going to buy the rest of the series, I need everyone else's stories - including David, Noah, Foxy - and then I will read this book again! I'm a total Rock Kiss groupie!

This book was really satisfying. Not only because of the way Abe redeems himself and the way Sarah grows into her strength, but because of the amazing way it ties up the rest of the series without feeling like it’s taking away from the central romance between these two. Which is exactly what I would expect from Nalini Singh, who effortlessly juggles huge casts in all her series, without ever losing focus. This book does it beautifully, but I warn you, if you’re not a particular fan of reading about weddings, there are multiple weddings here. Likewise, if this is your first taste of the series, you might want to read the others first, so you can fully enjoy seeing everyone get their HEAs

I loved Sarah. She’s been a background character in the other books, a shadowy figure that seems to hold the key to mysterious Abe’s heart. In the other books she has often appeared as a victim, but in this book she’s anything but. I loved her strength. She has been through so much, has so many emotional scars, but I loved how she learned and grew from each of them, whether they were down to her mistakes or not. She’s incredibly grounded and I hated the way Abe treated her during their marriage – which we only get to see in patches.

Oh, Abe… I was prepared not to like him all that much, but he completely won me over. Yes, he behaved so horribly, and no, in the past he definitely was not always a good person. However, he does have reasons, but more importantly than any of that, he doesn’t use them to excuse his behavior. He owns up to it and wants to do better this time. He really has changed and I couldn’t help falling for him and the way he loves Sarah and tries to win her back. He’s a man who earns his second chance, and I couldn’t help loving him for that.

This is an emotional book. Grief plays a strong role throughout, for both characters. There are plenty of places where it grabbed my by the heart, yet, overall, it never got too heavy, because of the great characters of both Sarah and Abe, and the interactions with other characters from the series. The weddings provide high points and moments of lightness that keep things moving forward and stop the difficult stuff from ever getting too heavy. That’s not to say the grief is brushed aside or ignored, more that everyone is given a chance to breathe occasionally. It’s also scorching hot on occasion, from pretty early on, which hasn’t always been the case in this series, though it is what I expect from this author.

In all, I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I loved the characters and the romance, as well as the way it tied everything together. I thought the whole Rock Kiss series was great and I’m a little sad to reach the end, however, the prospect of so much more to come from Gabriel’s rugby-playing brothers is more than enough to console me. Can’t wait!

(I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.)

Once, Abe and Sarah were married. But the happy moments were short and he treated her horribly. He didn’t come to his senses even after she left him, the drugs and alcohol controlling his actions. It leads her into the arms of another. A man that was there for her when she was alone, but soon began to show his true face. After Abe witnesses how his ex-wife was treated, he begins to actively work on getting her back. He will do anything to repair his mistake, but is she willing to forgiving him after everything that happened?

Having lived a difficult childhood, all Sarah wanted was to belong somewhere. She thought she found that with the rock star, but she was wrong. Can she open her heart, at the risk of getting hurt again?

This was one of the best second chance romance I’ve ever read. I cried from the first chapter and it just made me feel so much for Sarah. Nalini Singh is such a talented author. I discovered her through her paranormal series, and I grew to like her contemporary works too. One thing that I really appreciated was how Sarah didn’t take Abe back right away and made him work for it. I hate when the heroine forgives too quickly and act almost as if nothing happened.

However, I thought that Jeremy would have a more important role in this story, but he only appeared shortly at the beginning, and was sometimes mentioned. But I’m not disappointed in how the story went. Abe went from a jerk in my mind to a man who’s realized his mistake and is willing to go through hell to get his woman back.

This is the last book in the series and the Schoolboy Choir all make an appearance. I think the title really gives a big hint at what’s going on in this book. So many weddings! I can’t wait for more from this author and highly recommend this novel!

They say people deal with grief differently. Some deal with it in a positive manner, some negatively. Then there are those that become utterly destructive such as rocker Abe Bellamy. Instead of finding solace in his wife he pushes her away. What Abe does is unforgiving and I honestly had my doubts if he would ever be redeemable…

What I loved about the entire situation was how Sarah flourished even after experiencing all that pain and heartache. She proved that she didn’t need a man or anyone to become “more”. I admired her for her strength and her constraint. She certainly put Abe through his paces and I have to say that courtship was beautiful to witness.

Of all the couples in the series, Sarah and Abe are by far my favorite. Why might you ask? Besides their amazing chemistry and passion, they felt so much more real. Even if they were a high-profile couple they had issues any ordinary couple would have. I was able to connect with them in a deeper and emotional level, especially with Sarah.

Reading about the other couples in the previous books was definitely the icing on the cake! The way they came together to support each other through the thick and thin was extremely heartwarming. It was great witnessing how each and one of them making that final commitment. This title is seriously all too fitting.

Rock Wedding is a fantastic second chance romance. It delved into loss, forgiveness, acceptance and finding that everlasting love all over again. Nalini Singh certainly did a fantastic job ending this rock romance series.

I received an ARC of this from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion. Let me say right off that I've read the previous four books in the series and enjoyed them so I was eagerly looking forward to this one.
It did not disappoint.
For those familiar with the Rock Kiss series, you're already prepared for this final (?) book where the keyboardist in the band gets a chance to win back the love of his life.
The book takes up pretty much where the others left off. We see references to events in prior books but they don't ruin this book. They just pique your interest in reading the previous ones; if you haven't already.
Sarah and Abe were married but Abe was a drug addict and tormented by the death of his sister and he basically ruined everything. Sarah is also portrayed as too timid to stand up for herself or admit her own needs but it's pretty much Abe's fault.
As usual, there were the hot sex scenes for which this series is known.
I have only a couple of small complaints. One, Sarah had a lot of accidental pregnancies. It seemed like stretching things a bit. Two, Jeremy was talked about a lot but never shown. It was all second hand information. Otherwise, a good solid romance and a good solid finale for this series about members of a rock band finding love and redemption. I would recommend the series if you enjoy hot happy ever afters especially with redeemed bad boys.

(PureTextuality.com)Rock star series or standalones are a dime a dozen these days. Some, I really enjoy, others I start and then they just sit there unread on my e-reader. This author’s Rock Kiss series is immensely readable and entertaining, with back stories that are as interesting as what’s going on in the now of the books. The series kind of goes in order(one of them overlaps with another, at times), but are billed as standalone. Since I have read the first two, and also have the novella, Rock Courtship on my Kindle, I felt it was okay to request this from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. And it was perfectly fine as a standalone. Not that the other characters from the previous books were not in evidence, they absolutely were, but nothing bothered me about not reading all of them prior to this last book in the series.

These rockers have been around awhile. They have had all the fame, fortune, and now just want to settle down with a good woman. All but one of them. Abe, the keyboard player for the group, has been a drug addict for awhile. While still doing drugs, he loses his beloved eight year old sister to a terminal illness. He has never gotten over it, and he just lost himself further into the drugs. He married Sarah after his sister died, but he never really let Sarah into his life. She adored him and knew that he didn’t really love her, but she was willing to settle because of how much she loved him. One night while under the influence of a drug cocktail, he kicks Sarah out of his life during a fight. And Sarah’s heart is broken. She has nowhere to go and nobody to really turn to, but eventually she is able to go on with her life-mostly. Two years later, and Sarah has grown into her new self, become an entrepreneur, and is proud of what she has become. Running into Abe wasn’t on the agenda, especially when she is with another man, one that isn’t exactly being nice to her. This is Abe’s chance to make it up to Sarah as he has never gotten over losing her-although he completely understands why she left. And I am not telling anything else about the actual story.

The characters of Abe and Sarah are both fully drawn by the author and since we get both of their perspectives, the reader is able to really appreciate each of their sides of the story. Even if you stay mad at Abe for how badly he treated Sarah, now you can see why he did what he did, so it made him more relatable, or maybe I should say palatable. As far as Sarah goes, she has been through a horrible life with Abe for the most part, and she came from an even worse life in her past. Maybe that is why she was able to put up with Abe and all his problems, way longer than most would. She is similar to the phoenix rising from the ashes in this read. So down and out that she allows another man to manipulate her, only to suffer another huge loss. But now she’s everything she never knew she wanted to be. So seeing Abe again, about kills her and she is adamant that he will never be in her life again. Ah, the best laid plans…

This was truly aptly named as we get to experience the weddings of most of the couples that have fallen for each other in these books. I always like seeing what characters from previous books are up to, and Ms.Singh didn’t disappoint, making all of them peripheral characters in this read. Although this is not my favorite of the series, I think book one, Rock Addiction, still is, but it certainly is an admirable addition, and well worth the read. I highly recommend this to contemporary romance readers, adult due to plenty of sensual scenes.

I couldn't wait to finally read about Schoolboy Choir pianist's Abe Bellamy and when I found out his heroine was his ex-wife Sarah, I got even more excited because it's going to be a second-chance romance and I'm a sucker for those, especially ones about a formerly married couple finding love again. Rock Wedding was such a sweet and, at times, heartbreaking read. It wasn't my favorite in the series (Rock Courtship and Rock Hard are) but I very much enjoyed it and rooted for Abe and Sarah to work things out.

Sarah Smith loved her husband Abe Bellamy with all her heart. She knew Abe didn't return her feelings, but she had enough love for both of them. That is, until the night of the anniversary Abe's sister's death, and grieving and angry, Abe verbally lashed out and broke Sarah's heart. She left Abe, and eventually they divorced.

Years later, they reconnect again. Abe knew he made a mistake pushing Sarah away. Although he pushed Sarah away while they were married, he loved her. When he saw her again he knew he needed to win her back into his life. However, Sarah wasn't the girl she was when she first married Abe. She still has feelings for Abe, but she didn't want him too close because she knew he could break her heart all over again and she didn't want to risk it. But, an accidental pregnancy pulls them closer together and Abe became more determined than ever to woo his ex-wife, prove to Sarah that he's going to stay and be there for her and the baby, and make them a family again. But is Sarah ready to risk her heart?

I really enjoyed Abe and Sarah's characters. Sarah was mentioned a few times in the previous books by the other members of Schoolboy Choir, not always positively so I didn't know what to expect. But finally "meeting" her and learning she suffered through so much heartbreak and terrible loss and somehow rose from it all to become strong and independent, she's become one of my favorite in the series.

Sarah didn't have a happy childhood and was basically living in the streets at fifteen. Then, when she married Abe, she didn't feel like she's good enough for him and his actions asserted her belief. But after her messy divorce, she rose from all that and started a successful business. As for Abe, he was addicted to drugs and alcohol, went to rehab, only to relapse again. He also experienced terrible loss after his beloved younger sister and then his father a short while later both passed away. I just felt for both of them, especially Sarah.

Abe alway had his School Boy Choir bandmates, of course, but seeing Sarah being embraced by the women and the band members was lovely to see. I love the strong friendships--more like family, really--among the men and the women in this series. Nalini Singh does a good job creating these friendship group that you wish you were a part of.

The previous couples from the other books were all secondary characters in Rock Wedding, even Charlotte and T-Rex who were in town for Molly and Fox's wedding--yup, Molly and Fox and the all other Rock couples have their weddings in this book!

Nalini Singh's books, whether contemporary or paranormal, are always gold star reads for me and it's no different with Rock Wedding. Like with the previous books in the series, Rock Wedding was quite an emotional read as Sarah and Abe struggle to overcome their issues as individuals and in their relationship. If you're a fan of the Rock Kiss series, Rock Wedding is a must-read for you. If you like rock star romances, consider picking up the Rock Kiss series. If you're a fan of Nalini Singh's paranormal series, then give the Rock Kiss series a try--the books packs the same emotional punch as her other novels in Nalini's signature writing style. Overall, Rock Wedding is a great conclusion to the Rock Kiss/Schoolboy Choir men series (but Nalini promised it won't be the last we'll see of them because T-Rex's brother's will get their own books!).

One of my favorite books of last year was Rock Redemption by Nalini Singh. It was beautiful and heartbreaking, like other books by this author. At the end a small hint was given about the broken relationship between Abe and Sarah, and it made me curious. Rock Wedding gives us their story.

“She’d never wanted the divorce. She’d wanted Abe to fight for her. He’d fought her demands, but never had he fought for her.”

Sarah has grown up with her single mother, who tried to solve her own problems with dating all kinds of wrong men. Not getting any love at home, pretty Sarah tries to get love elsewhere, her young romantic heart cracked every time. From a young age Sarah has learned she has only one asset to offer, her beauty. Meeting rock star Abe and marrying him is like a dream come true for her, finally she has somebody to love with all her heart. But when the marriage falls apart after brutal spoken words by Abe, Sarah runs and realizes she’s worth much more than her marriage gives her. When she meets Abe again after some years, the attraction is still there, and Abe seems to be a different man.

“Today… today he was her Abe. The big-hearted man who’d envelop her in his arms and make her feel tiny and petite and protected. All things she’d never been.”

Abe seemingly has it all; grown up in a loving family, part of a famous rock band, money, everything. But the untimely death of his much younger sister and his father has hit him hard. Abe is so caught up in his own world filled with alcohol and drugs he doesn’t recognize good anymore. Marrying Sarah is the best decision Abe has made in years, but his demons do all they can to destroy the love Sarah has for him. And they succeed; when Abe finally hits rock bottom Sarah leaves him and files for divorce. Realizing he truly loves Sarah, Abe doesn’t want to let her get away a second time.

“There she was, standing on the edge of the lake, looking at the mirror-still water, a faraway expression on her face. Beautiful didn’t describe her, wasn’t good enough a word for her. She was Sarah. Unique and stunning.”

When Abe and Sarah met for the first time, Sarah was a young and insecure woman, who just wanted to love and to be loved. Abe was in no condition to give her the love she deserved; grieve, drugs and alcohol where ruling his thoughts and actions. Nowadays Sarah is much stronger, she has gone through a lot, not only with Abe but also after their marriage fell apart. And the events didn’t break her, they still hurt, but she turned her life around for the better. Very understandably Sarah is hesitant about Abe; she knows she’s still very attracted to him, but his actions have hurt her so very bad. Abe is determined to make Sarah fall in love with him again, because he knows she’s the only woman he’ll ever love. Slowly, Abe and Sarah give into their feelings for each other, giving their love a second chance.

Rock Wedding is beautiful second-chance romance; Abe and Sarah were married before, and now Abe has the chance to be the man Sarah deserves. My heart hurts for Sarah, what she went through just broke my mother heart. I understand she walked away from Abe; he was so very addicted and in no place to be in a relationship. I love seeing the couples from the previous books, and to get glimpses of their lives. They are very supportive of Abe and Sarah, and are real friends who offer supported and a listening ear.

“I want to trap you. Forever. I want my ring back on your finger and I want to wear yours and I want the world to know you’re mine.”

I love this beautiful second-chance love story; I give Rock Wedding 4.5 stars.

Rock Wedding (Rock Kiss #4) by Nalini Singh is about the end of a marriage, which comes back full circle for the main couple who must get past a world of hurt in order to find happiness with one another. Nalini has always tackled some hard topics and dealt some heavy emotions, especially when it comes to the hero and heroine, and the traumas they experience in order to find happiness, and become much better people when all is said and done. While I read, there were times I had to stop because the pain and suffering from Sarah and Abe was so palatable. This is not a lighthearted romance, even though there is great chemistry and steamy lovemaking between the main couple. There’s a great deal of angst because of their past. For Sarah, it’s her distant past of when she was a child. For Abe it’s only in recent years past because of his drug and alcohol abuse, which makes him attack Sarah during their short marriage. One night she ended up walking out of him, not just because of his downward spiral drug abuse, but his cruel words, his lashing out at her, who always thought she wasn’t good enough for him or worthy of his love because he’s a mega rich rock star, and she’s a lowlife who doesn’t deserve a loving husband, happy marriage or children.

Sarah has been divorced for two years from Abe, who she thought was the love of her life. Abe is a megastar celebrity, aka a rock star of a band who basically swept her off her feet. Sarah grew up an orphan barely living paycheck to paycheck. She met Abe during a party she snuck into with a friend, caught Abe’s eye, and he became her Prince Charming. She married him, but their marriage was full of mistrust and sadness. Because Abe had a bad alcohol and drug problem, he never treated Sarah with the respect she deserved. His self torture is compounded because of the death of his beloved younger sister who died from a horrible illness when she was just a little girl. Sarah also suffers because she miscarried their child. Because Abe won’t let Sarah comfort him as he remembers the day his younger sister died, he lashes out at Sarah, using cruel words and taunts that makes her finally leave him. She divorces him, and now two years later is running her own business and appears to be happy. But Sarah isn’t. She made a big mistake after she left Abe, which is discussed right from the beginning involving another man. But because of her failed relationship, and aftermath with that man, it brings Abe back into her life.

Abe is now clean and sober and wants a second change with Sarah, who wants nothing to do with him. They both still share the same circle of friends, which makes it hard for Sarah and Abe not to interact with one another. But when Abe’s bandmate gets married to a woman who has become a close friend with Sarah, she is forced to be with her former husband. Sarah is much stronger and wiser when it comes to dealing with Abe, who is a changed man. She’s willing to have a tentative relationship with him, and perhaps even friendship. But the attraction between the two is as strong as ever. One thing leads to another one night, and they have sex. Because of that, Abe wants to be a part of Sarah’s life again because there was a consequence of their intimacy that forces them to confront their former marriage, and to decide if they should chance another shot of a future together, even though things between them are still very shaky and uncertain.

Rock Wedding deals with the loss of a marriage and the difficult steps it takes to rebuild that marriage again. Sarah and Abe have a lot of issues to work on, and not just Abe’s substance abuse, but his guilt over the death of his sister, including two big losses in Sarah’s life that makes her feel less than a wife and a mother. Sarah may love her independence and her circle of friends who support her, but she still longs for a family and a home to call her own. She wants that traditional marriage, husband and children, but it has eluded her. Abe is the one who will give it to her even though the first time around with their relationship was violate because Abe never showed the true person behind his public persona to Sarah. He has his work cut out for him. Sarah has to decide whether to trust him even though he may burn her again.

Rock Wedding hits you hard in the gut for a romance. Even though Abe is the main person at fault for ruining his marriage with Sarah, you want him to succeed in winning her heart back. Sarah isn’t some pushover who will take Abe back just because he may have changed for the better. He has to work at it, which he does. His courtship of his ex-wife is very sweet, endearing, and sexy. The only problem I had was that these two is that they should have attended some sort of couples’ therapy or received some professional advice. I think if they had seen someone in a professional setting, it would have been a bit more believable for me, rather than just using the, love heals all wounds trope. But Nalini does make a good case for why Sarah and Abe belong together again. Their interactions and discussions about themselves and their former marriage helps move the story along in a satisfactory manner.

Rock Wedding is one romance that may hit you in the gut and cause you to shed a tear, but Sarah and Abe’s journey for their HEA is well worth.

Warning: fangirling/gushing ahead. Proceed with caution.

What happened to my words? I think Nalini Singh might have stolen them, with the help of a recovering addict, his ex-wife and a second chance romance that kept me enraptured for hours as I got lost in Ms. Singh’s amazing story-telling and world-building.

I’ll admit that I have probably said this about each of the excellent books in Ms. Singh’s Rock Kiss series, but Rock Wedding is my favorite. This book brought together the Schoolboy Choir family, and rounded out a series that I am thoroughly addicted to. It was the perfect ending, while also serving as a beginning. Hopefully of a spin-off series, definitely of a love between a husband and wife that needed to be salvaged, rediscovered, made new.

And what a love it was. It screamed at me from the pages of this book. Despite the ups and downs, the way my heart ached and my eyes watered for this couple—but most especially for the brave and strong Sarah—meant that I was deeply, truly invested in them. It doesn’t matter that Abe and Sarah aren’t real; they felt incredibly real, as they made their emotions my own. I could feel their connection, their grief, their regrets, and It. Was. Perfect.

I have been waiting for this book. Not just since Abe and Sarah’s explosive side-story in the wonderful Rock Redemption, but since the beginning. Since Abe’s struggle with addiction, his roller coaster, heart-breaking problems became apparent. And it was worth the wait. He was wholly lovable, completely reformed, unutterably redeemed. He was a deserving hero—one who accepted and atoned for his mistakes, and worked hard to be a better man, a better person, a better husband because of that. I couldn’t have loved him more.

Just as I couldn’t have loved Sarah more. Ms. Singh did an amazing job of making her feelings for Abe known, while not belittling the pain he—and other soul-crushing events from her past—caused her. She proved to be the best kind of heroine; one who wasn’t a pushover, but was also willing to try. To be strong. To be forgiving. To be herself, when it would have been easy to get lost.

This wasn’t an easy story in a traditional sense; this couple had obstacles, and their HEA was hard-fought, but it was easy, so easy to get lost in it. I didn’t even realize that the hours had passed. I registered the tears that Rock Wedding won from me—tears of both intense sadness and overwhelming happiness—and I know it made me laugh out loud on more than one occasion. But what I didn’t know what how totally and utterly immersed I was in this story until it was over.

Until I blinked my eyes, and stared at those final words, a smile cracking my face, my heart hopeful and happy. Until I realized I had to try to explain why this book is not only awesome, but also my favorite in the series—and that I had to do it without awkwardly fangirling and flailing and otherwise embarrassing myself.

I am aware I failed on that front. It seems that my words, when they returned to me, did so in a long gush over this book, but I don’t mind, and I hope you don’t either. All it does is, hopefully, entice you to pick up this book—or the earlier ones if you aren’t yet familiar with this series—and fall in love right along with me. It’s absolutely worth it. ~ Beth, 5 Abra stars

I recently read that sometimes things need to go a little bit wrong before the go right. Things certainly went badly for Abe and Sarah but sometimes happily endings deserve a second chance. I adored their heartfelt story about forgiveness and love.

After growing up neglected by her mother and then left on the streets, Sarah Smith dreamed of a family of her own. When fate forever entwined her with rock star Abe Bellamy’s life she thought she thought she would be the happiest woman on earth even if her unconditional love towards Abe wasn’t equally returned. But his unchecked demons not only destroyed their relationship they nearly ruined her. But underneath all the self-doubt lives a smart and strong woman who can stand on her own.

Nothing seems to be able to help Abe’s downwards spiral into an abyss of despair, anger and grief. Not his fame and fortune, not his friends and family, not even the only woman he’s ever loved… until he loses her. Even if he’s unworthy of it, he’s been given a second chance. Can he win back his wife, the now strong and confident entrepreneur she’s become without him?
“She had to keep her distance if she was to have any chance of protecting he battered heart. Because this Abe? The one who sent her glowers and books and who dropped by to make sure she was all right? He was more dangerous than the man who’d broker her to pieces.”

Nalini Singh’s skilled expressive writing, complex characters and interesting plots have made me a fan for years. I know her stories will bring out all the feels, from the downright ugly to the sexy and truly swoony, sigh worthy moments that make a book everything you wanted it to be and more. Rock Wedding totally delivered.
“The electricity between them, the vivid, visceral connection that made it feel as if he’d been made for her, she for him.”

Abe and Sarah’s story is certainly an emotional rollercoaster. They’ve both had difficult pasts, but Abe because of his deep sorrow coupled with addictions kept Sarah at arm’s length and eventually under the influence treated her so badly that he forced her to leave him. After getting sober he recognizes he’s completely to blame.
“I’m a coward Sarah… so terrified of having my heart torn out of my chest that I tried to push you away, deny my love… But you’re it for me Sarah. The only woman I will ever love.”

I didn’t know much about Abe from the previous books and had my doubts about him in the beginning of this one. There’s just no way around it, he behaved dreadfully. Once clarity set in, I liked that he acknowledged his ugly, shameful actions, that he was sorry for it, and didn’t excuse it. He knows that he might have lost his shot at happiness but he’s willing to do anything and everything to get Sarah back or at the very least see her be happy.
Sarah reach back to undo her zipper. “Let me.” He wanted to adore her, seduce her, addict her.

Talk about having my doubts about characters and then doing a 180 and completely cheering for them. In the beginning, I honestly thought I wouldn’t like Sarah. She loved him deeply, that much was apparent, but she had such low self-esteem and settled for the scraps of affection Abe showed her. I really like heroines to be just as strong as their partners in a way that they give equally to a relationship. But then she reached her limit and after she divorced him she found herself, her strength and became this independent and assured person I couldn’t help but like.

Although Rock Wedding is an incredibly precise title for this book (wink, wink, I won’t spoil the surprise but oh boy do we get a treat regarding this) I think Rock Courtship would have been an equally good one. Too bad that was taken David and Thea’s story. But still, we get to a point where Abe’s love for Sarah is abundantly clear and is even and we are treated to his sweet, patient, heartfelt and swoony persuasion
Of her. These two made me teary eyed with their heartache, and brought huge smiles and sighs.

Even though Rock Wedding is Abe and Sarah’s story, it’s also the conclusion to the series and as such, all the gang from Schoolboy Choir makes an appearance supporting each other as they all begin their lives as a big rock family with their respective other halves.

A small note on the rock aspect of the story. For those of you who love their rock romances to have a musical backdrop, even though the characters’ lives are affected by their rock star status, there isn’t a lot of music related scenes.

This is not the end though, Singh all but gave us the title to her next contemporary story which will feature Gabriel’s brothers. I can’t wait to see where she takes us with this new spin-off series.

Rock Wedding is book #4 in the Rock Kiss series by Nalini Singh. It is a spicy sweet and hot romance about second chances and love, rock style. It can be read as a standalone with interconnecting characters from the rest of the series, although given the latter, I would suggest reading all books to better enjoy and understand this last installment in the series. Told from both points of view that has a happy ending.

Rocky start doesn’t even begin to sum up the beginning of this main couple’s relationship/first marriage, folks. Abe Bellamy was in no way shape or form ready to take a wife while dealing with his complete despair and alcohol/drug abuse in an attempt to numb his anger/grief over the death of his eight year old sister, Tessie. He ended up meeting/marrying beautiful, kind, sweet Sarah Smith, who is broken in her own way, and briefly holds onto her like a lifeline, until sinking back into his abyss of despair/self-destructive ways.

**spoilers possible**

Sarah seems determined to be there for him, loves him unconditionally, puts up with being ignored/always left behind while he goes on tour, only gets brief moments of happiness with him during short lived periods of sobriety, until the unthinkable happens. Abe comes home, while under the influence, and verbally lashes out at her in such a demeaning, hurtful, heartbreaking way she walks away thinking he never really loved her. After all, she can’t hold onto something that was never there to begin with, his love. She files for divorce.

Two years later she finds herself alone again after suffering another tragic loss and the end of a relationship with Jeremy Vance, an older man who befriended her right after leaving Abe. I must say it felt kind of strange for Abe to hold her in his arms comforting her from something that linked her to Jeremey, whom she never really loved.

These two were reunited when Abe sees Jeremy physically hurt Sarah. He’s determinedly back in the picture and resolves to win her back. Fortunately, he’s been clean and sober for some time. After going to rehab shortly after spiraling out of control after their divorce, he soon realized what a precious gift he lost when Sarah left.

A little too soon for my taste, about 13% into it, they share a kiss and soon an intimate moment, which leads to a major bonding that now has them once again back in each other’s lives. The rest of the story is surprisingly drama free and focuses mainly on Sarah letting herself trust Abe again. There are lots of rock band friends and family moments, including weddings, and talk of honest feelings and full reveals regarding secrets they kept from each other. Turns out Sarah had a shockingly hard knox kind of childhood, which makes you feel even more sorry for how Abe treated her.
You pretty much get a side row seat to this hero singing the tune of redemption, folks. It will be up to you if you want to listen to it or not. Here’s to hoping my review makes that decision a little easier.

**major spoiler alerts possible**

Goodreads Romance Safety Gang: Some won’t be able to forgive the hero for his briefly described neglect of the heroine during the marriage and his brief but very painful, hurtful remarks right before she left him. Some may choose to attribute it to him not being mentally sound/well before he got married due to his grief/substance abuse. Either way, by 13%, the story focuses on him being a determined-to-win-his girl-back type of guy. Abe does claim he was faithful to her until they officially separated. She slept with Jeremey after seeing a tabloid pic of Abe during that same time. Willingly decides to have a baby with him, but doesn’t marry him. No graphic details are given of OW/OM.

Title: Rock Wedding, Series: Rock Kiss (Book 4), Author: Nalini Singh, Pages: 345, stand-alone but meant to be read as part of a series, implied OW drama after separation/divorce but no graphic details/only tabloid pics, heroine has a relationship with OM after separation/divorce, miscarriage/infant death, unexpected pregnancy, a one-time abusive boyfriend incident.

I’m not sure what’s changed with me lately. Beforehand I needed my hero to be Mary Poppins in hero form – Practically Perfect In Every Way. But who are we kidding here? Blokes are not perfect. Then again, chicks aren't perfect either. If everyone was perfect and perfectly matched it would be a bloody boring old world. What we can do is try and find a perfect for me "type" of guy or gal, even in our romance reads. At times I don't mind the bad boys eg. bikers, mafia men, assassins, manwhores and criminals and in that space of time, I can even forgive them for bad deeds. I don’t always forgive them when they push my comfort levels that wee bit too far. The one thing that seems to be the deciding factor on whether I can forgive a hero is if they show remorse and acknowledge they did the wrong thing. In Rock Wedding, it doesn’t take long in meeting and getting to know Abe that it’s obvious he knows he’s done wrong, regrets it enormously and will do everything in his power to put things right.

Rock Wedding is not an easy story to read. There are sections that will be sensitive to some readers as the heroine has previously had issues with pregnancies. I admit, I cried a few times while reading their tragic tale. It was a struggle to read Sarah’s heartbreak and what she has lived through. The fact that she has come out the other side strong, self-sufficient and more confident (not full of confidence but definitely more than what she started with) shows how remarkable she is. I wanted to hug her so many times and give her the support she was lacking but desperately needed. I will say this…while a lot of things that happened to her were not her fault, it wasn’t necessarily the people around hers fault either. Sarah hides her past and is scared to show the real her because she thinks they will think less of her. The people who grew to like and love her weren’t really given the full Sarah.

Now, Abe is no angel. We’re getting the clean cut version of him now and only the bad stuff in bits and pieces. Abe is a recovering addict. He knew that when he was in a drug-fuelled frenzy his words were like daggers. Abe knew that his violent rages never hurt another person physically, but being witness to it hurts loved ones just as much. He’s on the right path now but it will always be a struggle for him. The person he hurt the most, suffered because of her love for him. Abe knows he doesn’t deserve Sarah’s forgiveness but he wants to make clear to her now that he regrets his mistakes and her misguided belief that he never loved her.

So, in the big scheme of things I couldn’t really blame either of them fully. Oh, Abe really peeved me off at times and I wanted to hate him. I knew the reasons why he spiralled into darkness and while I don’t condone his behaviour, I understood it. I think Abe’s biggest fault was in being a coward. Even though I understand why it didn’t make it any easier to swallow his pushing Sarah away. When it comes to Sarah her biggest fault was in being young and inexperienced. She’d lived through some horrendous situations and when Abe showed her kindness and affection she thought she’d found a family. I think both of them were at fault but Abe’s words broke their love and it took years for them to put the pieces back together.

Rock Wedding is a second chance love story that left me with a happy buzz. This was a steamy read that definitely showed the connection between Sarah and Abe. It wasn’t easy and I struggled a little with the pain Sarah had lived through. The descriptions were thorough enough to understand what has previously happened but not graphic that I felt uncomfortable. I enjoyed catching up with the other characters, especially when Charlotte and Gabriel came for a visit from New Zealand. I managed to smile a few times, but I will admit there were probably more tears than smiles.

Nalini Singh has done an excellent job of telling the story of the heartbreak and devastation when you’ve lost someone who is important to you. Death is never easy and how you deal with it is your own battle. These two took all the knocks but managed to come out the other side with smiles on their faces.

***Gifted in exchange for an honest review***

Nalini is my favourite author, and although the Paranormal series will still stay top on my list, this Rock Star Romance series has been on my top read for that genre.

I initially found it hard to get into the first book, due to me being firmly entrenched in Nalini's paranormal voice, but soon Nalini's world of Rockstars had me engrossed in the characters of Schoolboy Choir ( mmm still got a bit of a meh over the name of the band, but I got what it represented - they all met at Choir practice at their boarding school)

I can say without a doubt that as each book has been produced, the series has gone from strength to strength, Nalini is in the zone with this book, not only do we get Sarah and Abe's story, but we also get a catch up with the rest of the band and its a great catch up too.

Now we were asked not to do spoiler reviews, and I don't anyway as I hate them with a passion... So here is my run down on what is given in the synopsis:

Yes it is very emotional, oh was I blubbering over the pain that Sarah has been through, I wanted to hate Abe, but Nalini does a good job as showing his road to despair and then eventually to redemption, love and forgiveness…

Sarah Smith ( ah what an awesome surname) in love with Abe, a girl who has never felt she belonged, or was worthy of love, she thought that she had finally found home, but the tragic loss of the baby and the demons of Abe's past cause him to lash out, and finally after one drug fueled night Sarah finally gives up. Heart broken and lost, she does the only thing she can do... picks herself up and tries to make something of her life, but then 2 years later circumstances bring the pair back together and when Sarah is in trouble, Abe and the band are there to pick up the pieces, and now that Abe is clean and sober he realises just what he lost and is determined to get it back.

There are passages I could tell you about that had me choked up and in pain, or of the moments of joy, or the laughter... but then I would spoil it for new readers, so what I will say is that I was sad to get to the end of the book, but happy that there was a HEA for Sarah and Abe, it was a rough rocky road, but they get there in the end, thanks to Sarah being such a brave soul, who strove to see beyond the pain and take a chance on the person who was after all the love of her life.

I will say that I thought Nalini did a very good job at writing about sarah grief, it was believable, but also beautiful in both the emotional aspect and for also for reminding us that grief is something that we have to face, not run away from.

I know these books are ok to be read as standalones but I would say that I feel you will get to know the characters better if you read all the series as they came out.

I am glad we may get to come back to these characters in one way or another - through the spin off series due and of course hopefully set in New Zealand and full of Awesome Kiwi Rugby players!!!

As with all of Nalini's series, the thought of them ending for good makes my heart ache, these characters are part of me now, and I want to keep in touch with them.

I will be buying the series - and pestering Nalini to sign them all some day soon!

ROCK WEDDING is the fourth and final full-length installment in Nalini Singh’s contemporary, adult ROCK KISS romance series focusing on the members of the rock group Schoolboy Choir. This is Schoolboy Choir’s keyboard player/vocalist Abe Bellamy, and business entrepreneur Sarah Smith-Bellamy’s story line. ROCK WEDDING can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty although I recommend reading the series in order for backstory and history.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Abe and Sarah) ROCK WEDDING is a story of second chances and happily ever afters. Throughout the series the reader becomes aware of the rocky relationship between Abe Bellamy and his (ex) wife Sarah Smith-Bellamy but the truth behind Abe’s destructive behavior comes to light in the current story line. Two years together and a devastating loss find our heroine running towards freedom, a divorce and a new start to life. Fast forward to present day wherein Sarah finds herself the victim of another relationship that goes horribly wrong, and Abe comes calling hoping for a second chance. What ensues are Abe’s attempts to become a better man, a better husband and a better friend to the people he loves.

ROCK WEDDING is an emotional story line; a story about overwhelming loss, the destructive nature of addiction, and the struggle to forgive and move forward. Abe’s story is heartbreaking-a man unable to let go of the grief and guilt from his past. Sarah is a woman whose earlier years were filled with rejection and abuse. Wanting a family to call her own is everything Sarah had hoped and dreamed but her marriage to Abe was anything but. Abe’s addictions and subsequent verbally abusive behavior pushed our heroine over the edge and into the arms of something worse.

The relationship between Abe and Sarah is one of second chances. Abe’s past treatment of Sarah is reprehensible and destructive not to mention the accusations meant to destroy the human psyche. Rehab and working towards a cleaner lifestyle find Abe hoping for a second chance with the woman he has always loved. Abe’s grief and guilt will forever remain but he must learn to deal with the emotional and physical fall out of his actions. In the end both Abe and Sarah are stronger for the losses they have endured. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense.

All of the previous story line couples and characters play secondary and supporting roles. There are several weddings, proposals and marriages as each member of the band gets his happily ever after. The world building focuses on second chances and forgiveness-the music, the tours, and the band are secondary to the story and almost non existent. There are some issues of repetition and redundancy but easily overlooked.

ROCK WEDDING is the final installment in the Rock Kiss series but Nalini Singh has revealed she will be writing a few novellas and short stories to update the reader on some of our favorite Schoolboy Choir romances, and the potential for a spin off series in the works. The story line saw the evolution of four relationships culminating in a series of weddings and celebrations. The premise is entertaining and emotional but the angst is limited to the events of the past; the characters are broken but strong; the romance is a second chance at a happily ever after.

Abe is the keybord player and the last single member of the famous rock band, Schoolboy Choir ;) he and Sarah actually have been married before, and at the beginning of the book we see how horrible he was to her... yes, he was high and / or drunk most of the time, but that's not really an excuse... he treated her awfully and it broke my heart to see it... after those heartbreaking few chapters, we skip ahead a few years, so the story can catch up to the events of the rest of this series... but like I mentioned before, everything you need to know about the main couple, is in this story :) both Abe and Sarah have quite a past behind them... and thanks to those first few chapters, you can really see how both of them changed... how much different they are now, after everything that happened not only between them, but also individually to them in the time they were apart... I don't want to get into too many details, because that would spoil you some stuff, and I really think it's better if you know less than more going into this book... originally it was supposed to be a novella, but I am very grateful that it the process, it transformed into a full lenght novel, because it was a beautiful and incredibly emotional second chance romance... *sighs* their story really hit me in all the feels... and definitely made me shed a tear or two... and believe me, it included a surprise or two I definitely did not see coming ;) I know I am being very vague right now, but it's totally on purpose :) so you can immerse yourselves in this story just like I did :)

Besides the emotional but heartwarming story about Abe and Sarah, this book feels like such a perfect epilogue to all other couples we met in this series :) because there are weddings people... plural and everything ;) but that is all I'm gonna say :) so we have all other band mates, Fox, the main singer and his lovely Molly :) David, the drummer, and his fierce Thea and of course Noah, the guitarist and the glamorous Kit :) we also get an appearance from Charlie, Molly's best friend, and her T-Rex ;) don't worry, if you haven't read all of their stories, you will still enjoy all those scenes with them... but I think they might inspire you to go back and read all the rest of the books ;) besides all of the people we know and love, I have to mention one more person, Diane, Abe's mom :) she was absolutely wonderful :) only in a few scenes, each time her presence meant a lot :) there were of course a few more, but I gotta leave you some surprises, right? ;) but all the connections between them, friendships and bonds... were such a lovely thing to read about... :)

This book was absolutely beautiful :) it reads like an epilogue to the whole series, but worry not, there will be more... ;) to those of you who follow Nalini, you guys already know who is next in line ;) to the rest of you, I'll let you discover that on your own, because after you finish the book, there are a few words from the lovely author herself explaining the future of the series :) I did not expect this book to be this emotional... well, I knew it would be an emotional read, because there were some hints in previous books, so I kind of new what the tone would be... but what I did not expect, is the way this story hit me... in all... the... feels... :) look, Nalini Singh is one of my all time favourite authors, so I always remember that her writing style is fantastic... but between the books, when I wait for the new one to be published, I think I purposefully forget all the little details that make me love her books... because otherwise the wait would be horrible... :) so every time I read one of her stories, I'm surprised by how much I adore it :) sure, there are books or couples that I like a bit less, and some of them that will forever have a piece of my heart, but I love them all ;) and this one... this emotional journey of two people who both survived a lot... but found a way to each other again... *sighs dreamily* it really warmed my heart... I inhaled it very quickly and now I can wholeheartedly recommend it for you guys, whether you are a fan of her or you're brand new to her books, definitely check out this beautiful gem :)

The Rock Kiss series ended with a bang, or more specifically, with a few wedding bells, joy and happy tears for everyone. I find it a tad too perfect for all the couples to be hitched in this one book, but to hell with it, this is romance after all.

Going in, I'm desperate to know what is the caused of Abe and Sarah's divorce and how will they reunite. I'm a su@ker for second chances, in this case even more because they were married once. For those who are worried about the reason for their divorce, is actually pretty mellow, nothing spectacular happened. In fact, I find the reason a tad too easy.

Abe was an a$$hole of an epic proportion during their marriage, especially when he was high and drunk. I'm sure he had his good moment, or else, Sarah wouldn't have love him so much. But during one of his epic blowout, Sarah had enough of his issue and left him.

Fast forward to present times, Sarah just broke up with her boyfriend who we saw in the previous book when he got violent with her. With Abe and the band coming to her rescue, her ex-husband is back into her life.

The main highlight of the book is Abe's road to win back his ex-wife and his road to redemption. I mean, he said some pretty awful stuff to her, which some might find it unforgivable. But throughout the journey in this book, Abe more than redeem himself. He even make me fall head over heels in love with him.

Their relationship had already bypass the getting to know you and dating stages, so I find it really refreshing to read about a couple who already in love and know each other so well. Abe is giving his 100% effort and commitment to prove to Sarah that he is a change man and a man who deserve a second chance with her. I'm in a swoon-fest throughout the book. The best part is, he didn't even need to do the epic grovel, he let his action speaks louder than words. But of course, his confessing is heartfelt too.

By the end of the book, I think Abe just became my official book husband. I'm so proud of you, Abe.

As for Sarah, she used to be so naive and innocent and a total doormat. But the current Sarah is a change woman. Despite her awful past, that she never did share with Abe before, she manage to turn her life around after the divorce and became a much more admirable woman who is able to hold her head up high. I like the fact that she isn't too stubborn to accept Abe back into her life despite not fully trusting him yet.

Being the final book of the series, we get to catch up with all the previous couples. As always, I enjoyed the camaraderie between the guys and their ladies. The fact that everyone is getting married is just perfection. The hopeless romantic in me totally don't mind attending four weddings in a span of one book.

This was a Fantastic story! So beautiful, but is also so emotional and heartbreaking as it deals with some serious emotional issues, addiction, loss of a child/infant, divorce, domestic abuse, homelessness and forgiveness. But as these issues are in the past we get to see how all these issues have impacted the two main characters Abe Bellamy and Sarah Smith. These two characters are lovable and so well developed, you will be thinking of their story long after you are finished. Ms. Singh really brings it all, in this story that captivated me from the beginning to end.

Abe Bellamy is a rock star in the famous rock group "School Boy Choir", and Sarah Smith is his ex-wife who left him after he told her he didn't love her. In Rock Wedding we get a glimpse of an addicted Abe from Sarah's POV. After divorcing him, Sarah is all alone, but she proves to everyone that she is no longer going to be a victim. Sarah starts her own business and with a lot of hard work she becomes very successful as she turns her cleaning business into a successful, thriving business.

Abe has finally become clean after two years of struggling with his drug addiction and rehab attempts, so when he sees Sarah at a a Music Festival all he wants to do is properly apologize to her. During most of their divorce battle he hadn't been sober, Sarah's opinion of him, meant everything and he had screwed their marriage up beyond redemption. Now that he was sober, Abe isn't going to give up easily. Not when he still loves Sarah. So he sets out to woo her, to regain her trust and her love if he can.

Their chemistry is scorching hot. Even with all Sarah has been through with Abe, she cannot resist him. They both open up and finally shares their difficult pasts to one another bringing down their walls and connecting on a level they have never shared before. Abe is a new person to Sarah, as he constantly shows his affection, admiration and support, of her, something she has never had in her life before. He finally may earn his redemption. But as good as this all feels to Sarah she still has doubts that all this could go away in a instant. So will Sarah give in to Love? Or will Sarah move on alone? You will have to read to find out. Highly recommended!! Loved it!

I swear no matter which series I’m reading, Ms. Singh hooks me from the first page, has me go through all the feels that one could possibly experience, then leaves me with a huge dopey smile book hangover and Rock Wedding definitely did that and more!

When it became apparent that Abe and Sarah were going to be getting a second chance at love HEA I knew that it would be an emotional roller coaster ride based on the hints that had been dropped throughout the series, but nothing prepared me for the emotional mine field of the first few chapters. Those chapters had me wondering just how in the world Abe and Sarah would work through their painful past to have their HEA, but with Abe fully committed to his sobriety and Sarah standing firmly on her own two feet fate throws them back together again. But of course things aren’t always that simple and while I had a “mmmhhhmmmm” moment when the twist was revealed, I have to admit it was the best vehicle to get them started on their journey.

Through this twist of fate Abe and Sarah had no choice but to confront their painful pasts and come clean about the demons and insecurities that caused their marriage to implode. It was heartbreaking and yet highly satisfying at the same time because as they finally broke the walls they had around them down it became crystal clear that they were always meant to be together. And though there were a good number of angsty moments there were tempered by an equal number of swoon worthy moments not only brought on by Abe, but also by Sarah, so it made for an epic love story.

Now, while I loved Abe and Sarah and their journey back to each other, the icing on the cake for me, and what made this book a 5 star read for me, was getting to catch up with all the couples from the previous books. Yes, this was going to happen no matter what, but getting to spend time with all of them and seeing them all rally around each other and seeing how blissfully happy they are made me happy. I loved seeing them all interact and show what true friendship looks like.

And though I’m a little sad that this is the last book in the Rock Kiss series, I loved how everything worked out and what tempers the sadness and actually makes me all kinds of twitterpated is the knowledge that there will be a spin off series featuring T-Rex’s brothers (Note: I ADORE Gabriel Bishop) Rugby, rugby players, Aotearoa and spending time with Esera clan, especially Sweetie Pie and Boo...yeah, I’m so there!

Rock Wedding was a perfect second chance romance, and an amazing end to a brilliant series!

Abe and his best friends are in a band, called Schoolboy Choir.

This story is about Abe and Sarah.

Their married.

Their supposed to be happy..

But their not...

Abe is a drug addict, taking his anger out and verbally abuses his wife every chance he can get. These scenes gutted me to no end. Abe was awful and he knows it. He hates belittling his wife but he can't have her break down his walls. He has demons that he can't explain to his wife. He keeps it bubbled inside so his only happy place is booze, drugs, and other women. He is a mess and he knows it and so does his bandmates.

Sarah is at her wits end, she is so tired of her husbands abuse and infidelity. She loves Abe but enough is enough. So she files for divorce and is ready to move on with her life as a free independent woman. She will always love Abe, but he made her once joy filled heart as cold as ice.
Months pass and she finally starts dating again, but it all goes to hell when her boyfriend becomes abusive physically...................

Sarah can't catch a break.

Until her ex-husband comes back, asking for a second chance.

He says he is clean and is ready to start anew.

But is Sarah?
Will she open her heart back up to a man that hurt her beyond belief?
Or decide that it's better to be just friends.

The Rock Kiss series has a special place in my heart. So much laughs and tears. Nalini did an amazing job.

It almost seemed like Abe married Sarah on a whim. It all happened so fast, but Sarah knew she was in love with this guy. Unfortunately no matter how much she gave, and tried, it wasn’t enough. Sarah completely lost herself in trying to make her marriage to Abe work. Abe on the other hand was completely lost to the anger inside him, and the addiction to forget.

Though now he gets a second chance. Clean, and sober Abe fully realises what he lost when he pushed Sarah away. While he was probably the worst husband, he did love her, and he still does. He wants his second chance, and I love how he went for it. Trying to redeem himself, and showing Sarah that.

Sarah has changed a lot since her marriage to Abe. After the divorce she went on a little road of self discovery, and realised she can be awesome all by herself. I loved how strong she had become, though it was clear that she still had a soft spot for Abe. She never stopped caring about him, and when he starts wooing her, it becomes difficult to say no.

Rock Wedding was a gorgeous second chance love story, showing us that divorce sometimes doesn’t have to mean the end. Abe and Sarah’s road to happiness is a rocky one, though they both put in the effort, and seeing their journey back towards each other is filled with swooning moments.

I'd almost forgotten about this series, but I'm really glad that I decided to stick with it because Rock Wedding is a lovely story of forgiveness and love that I think will touch many readers.

Sarah is a sweet woman, eager to take care of her husband Abe. He's the keyboard player from Schoolboy Choir, and he's got some big demons riding around on his shoulders. He's dealing with some heavy grief made more potent by drug addiction, and unfortunately takes it out on Sarah. In these brutal opening scenes, Nalini Singh gives a eyes-wide-open view of the end of a marriage. The words here hurt and brought tears to my eyes with their nastiness.

In the aftermath, Sarah manages to make it through the dark days afterward. She moves past Abe as best as she can, but not everything she does works out for her. Her heart is broken a second time and it's Abe that comes to pull her out of her grief.

But Sarah's heart is still tender and she isn't sure if she can survive Abe a second time. I absolutely loved this part of the book, where these two people find their way back to each other. I rarely read romance where forgiveness plays such a huge part, and I adored that about this story.

I loved Abe and Sarah and their journey. It was sweet without being sticky, and realistic without being a downer. It was great to see the characters from the previous books in the series again too.

The writing is great, the emotions pack the pages. I kept turning the pages to the end and it left me wanting more. I definitely recommend this if you are looking for a romance that's a little bit different and diverse.

Let me start with this book deals with some very sensitive subjects/topics. If you are sensitive be aware.

This book starts off on heartbreak for both our male and female leads. Its also is centered around the weddings of Abe's bandmates. Sarah is married to a rockstar with addiction problem that is battling heartbreak. Abe was a jerk. He was mean when all Sarah did was love him with her whole heart and be there for him. Sarah wanted the same kind of love. Sarah loved him when he was at his bottom and she took all the mena things Abe did and said because he was...drunk or high. That was the excuse. Abe doesn’t want to lose anyone. So he pushes them away and doesn’t open up.

Sara vowed to never be dependent again on a man. I loved how she got a backbone and became the woman she is. There are so many up and downs. The worst of it ends right around 11% of the book.

The only issue I had was with Sarah. I understand the despair she had been through, however, she was sending mixed signals. Other than that I loved how they got back together and I would not have expected Abe to be her support. This is one of the best second chance romance I have read in some time. Abe was there and stayed there for her and had to earn her trust and respect again.

ROCK WEDDING was an emotional roller coaster of a book. It begins with Sarah walking out on Abe who is in the depths of his drug and alcohol addiction. She can no longer be the only one in love. His words convince her that she will never gain his love.

The story starts again more than a year later. Sarah fell into a new relationship and had a stillborn baby but her new man turns abusive. Abe is clean and sober and has been for more than eight months. He is determined to win her back but she isn't ready to trust her heart to him again.

One careless night together results in another pregnancy. Abe is determined to prove to Sarah that he is man who stays, a man who can be trusted with her love and with their child. This story is about their internal struggles. There is no one who is trying to tear them apart beyond their own fears and trust issues.

It was good seeing the other members of the band with their own loves. This was a book of weddings since all of the couples got married in this one. I loved how they all became a close knit family always ready to support each other.

I cried when I read about Sarah's stillborn baby and her weekly visits to her grave. I blushed when she and Abe made love. And my heart swelled with joy as they managed to fall in love again for keeps.

This is the fifth instalment in the Rock Kiss series and it's about the band's keyboard player, Abe, and his ex-wife, Sarah. I haven't read the previous books yet thus I know firsthand this novel absolutely can be read as a standalone. The only blurry part was the Zenith event but luckily we got the basics, besides aftermath was more important.
It's no secret I adore second chance and redemption romance so I had pretty high expectations before I dived in. And I'm happy to report I was mostly satisfied in the end. The truth is we got glimpses of their painful past and we could see how they rebuild their relationship however I wanted to see more details about actual healing and developing of the lead characters. Apart from this I enjoyed this delightful book a lot. The writing was excellent as always in Nalini Singh's work. There were some steaminess as well as gut-wrenching and heartwarming scenes I really liked. Plus the novel was titled for a reason. Be prepared for lot of wedding and proposing fun.
All in all Rock Wedding is a very emotional but so beautiful second chance love story which showing us that divorce sometimes doesn’t mean the end. I would definitely recommend to read it.

It's weddings, weddings, weddings! All the guys have finally found their mates and bells are ringing as they all walk down the aisle... except Abe. This is his struggle to redemption, second chances, and commitment.

Sarah has been through so much. Miscarrying Abe's baby, divorce, second baby being born still and not breathing, and finally, to top it off, being beaten by her partner. She is struggling to leave all of this behind and move forward. For a high school drop-out, she has done brilliantly. She is financially independent running her own business, she is handling her emotions as best she can, and when Abe once again is in her life, well, let's just say you never forget your first true love.

This the crowning glory to the series. Although in the beginning of the story it is a little confusing, if you have kept up with this series, you will be able to surpass that and enjoy a beautiful story of second chances and forever love. Enjoy!

What an amazing end to such a fantastic series. Nalini Singh tied everyone's story up in a beautiful bow. My favorite rockers all worked through their nightmares to end up with the dreams they never expected.

Abe and Sarah get the re-do they so needed. They were young the first time around and Abe had so many issues that, marriage wasn't something they were ready for. This second time around, Abe remains sober and Sarah blossomed into a strong and independent woman.

I loved the fact that Sarah didn't immediately fall into Abe's arms as if nothing happened between them. That happens so often in romance novels. No, she held firm and made him prove himself. I loved it. In that time, they got to know each other on a level they hadn't before; which resulted in a much more intimate relationship. And their chemistry (which was never an issue) was OFF THE CHARTS.

The guys of Schoolboy Choir will always have a special place in my heart and I was so happy to travel with them on their journey to love and happiness.

Singh has written an angsty, yet sweet and smoking hot contemporary romance with Rock Wedding, the final book in her Rock Kiss series that gives a couple a second chance at romance.

I found this to be a wonderful, well written love story that featured a well defined couple who had separated ways from a dysfunctional marriage together, but were drawn back to each other after years apart.

Throughout Rock Wedding, I laughed, I cried and I cheered for "Abra"! No matter what genre Singh is writing, she delivers the goods and is a guarantee read for me.

I will warn: this is not her usual paranormal book, it's listed as contemporary, but honestly I might label it more with a young adult vibe (just imo)....But no matter contemporary or YA it's definitely not her Psy-changeling series.....so if that's what you're looking for I would have to suggest skipping this even though it's a really great and emotional read that I recommend....I could see disappointment if anyone was thinking it would be more like her other writings.

Rock Wedding by Nalini Singh

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Abe is capable of creating beautiful works of art. Words and music are the canvas that allows him to cope with every tragedy that has come into his life. Yet behind the pretty words and the soul stirring music lies the heart of a man haunted by grief and rage. Will there every be a chance for him to heal or will he lose himself and the precious gift he's been given in his quest for self -destruction. Rock Wedding was provided to me in exchange for an honest review. Abe and Sarah have to decide if the love they share is worth all the setbacks and unhappiness it will take to build a strong foundation. Anyone who has suffered loss can relate to Abe's heartache and despair. Anyone who has watched a love one suffer knows the pain of helpless. Ms. Singh created a story that is full of feelings that every person has or will experience within their lifetime and given a sense of hope in a world of grief. Painful but beautiful story of devotion.

Review of Rock Wedding by Nalini Singh, the last book in the Rock Kiss Series.

Rock Wedding is the perfect conclusion to a wonderful series, with one or maybe more weddings.
Abe is trying everything in his power to win his ex-wife Sarah back and to show her that she can trust him again with her heart.
The story is different compared to the other of the series. It focuses on Abe and Sarah's story but all the couples from the previous books make an appearance more often than not. The main story might be about Abe and Sarah but Rock Wedding is dedicated to the entire Rock Kiss family and it is full of hope and happiness.
Sarah is a remarkable and tough woman who may have a bruised heart from all the things life has thrown at her but she never lost her kindness and willingness to help other. She is admirable for reopening her heart and letting love win.
Abe has found the strength to battle the drugs and he does not let his past dictate his future. He became finally the person he was always meant to be.
Honestly, this book will make you cry on one page and laugh out loud on the next. It is the perfect mixture of sadness, hope and happiness.

Loved it! I truly enjoy all Nalini Singh books, so kind of biased. ? However, rock star Abe and business woman Sarah have a second chance to see if both can get past insecurities, fear, and old anger to have a real relationship with love, honesty, and intimacy is a great read with steamy scenes and revelations about each other's past. Major bonus is all the gang is back with updates on Molly and Fox, David and Thea, and Noah and Kit!!! Nalini Singh give a depth to all these characters that are heart wrenching and relatable. 4 1/2 STARS!

A heart-wrenching story filled with highs and lows of a second chance at romance!

Sarah Smith thought she had found her happily ever after even though she knew that Abe didn’t love her as deeply as she loved him. She was all in and willing to take anything he dished out … until the night he devastated her heart and broke her spirit.

Abe has so many demons on his back that he can’t see straight. Trying to get away from the heartbreak of his past, he is willing to drown himself with hate. He isn’t willing to see what Sarah brings to his life and instead he throws it all away.

After the divorce, Sarah pulls herself back up and thrives in the business she starts, but her personal life continues to tear her apart. When Abe happens upon her again, he’s finally coping with his issues and wants another chance with her. Can she bring herself to trust him again?

Rock Wedding is Book 4 and the last instalment in the Rock Kiss Series. It can be read as a stand-alone though.
This book is about Abe and Sarah’s story. The book starts with Abe and Sarah married. He is fighting his problems with drugs and alcohol and Sarah is supporting in everything she can. The problem is that she doesn't she deserves him and she is sure he doesn't love her. Abe finally tells her what she was afraid all the time and she leaves him. This is where the book really starts.

This is a beautiful story about second chances and overcoming our insecurities and deepest fears. It is very well written and we read about the other band members and how they reach their happiness.

Very entertaining read! I really enjoyed it! Great conclusion to this series!

There isn't a book Nalini has wrote that I haven't loved, it doesn't matter the story, she weaves magic.
Rock Wedding is more than just a rock romance, my heart yo-yo'd from breaking to melting through out the book. Abe and Sarah's relationship hasn't been an easy one. Sarah especially has been through so much heartbreak and I felt it right along with her.
We also get to check in with the other members of the band, and it's so nice seeing them all interacting together and being a family.
This book is called Rock Wedding for a reason, there are quite a few! And who doesn't love a good wedding, my heart was a puddle on the floor, *Sigh*

But this book isn't all heart melting goo, there are some dark parts, and lots of angst. Rock Wedding is sure to take you on a roller coaster ride of emotion and when it ends you'll be wishing you could rewind time and relive the magic all over again.

ROCK WEDDING has all the awesomeness that is Nalini Singh! You get an excellent story, brilliant characters and a love forged in the fires of redemption and forgiveness. Ms. Singh mended my heart as many times as she broke it.

Abe and Sarah are amazing together. I loved reading about their journey and all the good—and bad—things that came right along with it. ROCK WEDDING is not just about Abe and Sarah, everyone else makes an appearance too! If you’ve had a favorite couple, you’ll likely see them in the book.

I loved the whole book and wished for it never to end! I highly recommend this and any book by Nalini Singh.

Wow. What a story.. I have to admit I didn’t know what I was getting myself into since I haven't read this series at all, but I think I did good lol.
While I might have hated Abe for a good while, if I didn't completely change my mind, at least I got that he changed and he was trying.
I don't go into the story, I never do, but I will say it wasn’t an easy read by any means. The author’s writing style is amazing but the story was hard at times.
I admit I cried and felt so many different emotions, thought some really nasty thoughts, but I felt happiness too.
Sarah is such a good woman, even if she doesn't see it and she has a strength that is unbelievable. She is kind and forgiving and she went through so much.
A very emotional story and one that will be hard to forget!

I like a man who is sorry for his sins and that would certainly describe Abe after he has lost Sarah in Rock Wedding by Nalini Singh. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this rocker story but the author has a way of making you care about the underserving and rooting for them to succeed in changing for the better. Which is at the heart of this story, love, forgiveness, second chances, and the personal capability to change oneself.

Well written with emotional intensity that does not gloss over the flaws, problems and struggles that can befall a person of fame. Rock Wedding is a work of fiction, but perhaps a few celebrities would benefit from reading this book. Real life needs happy endings too.

If you’ve ever read any of Nalini Singh’s Rock Kiss series, you’ll know that they’re not your average rocker romance. They have substance, an actual storyline that takes you on one hell of a ride and a romance that makes you want to sing along with the imaginary songs that the band sing and Rock Wedding is no different.
I think this book may actually be my favourite in this series. From the first word on the first page, it was more emotional, pulling at every single string on my heart. From the very first chapter I was drawn into this emotional and angst filled tale, feeling everything that the characters went through. Such a beautifully written story that showed a different side of rocker romance with real love and sacrifice.
If you haven’t already read this series, then now is definitely the time to get started!!!

I was so sad when I finished this book. I adore Nalini Singh and her Rock Kiss series is one of my favorite. As much as I loved Sarah and Abe, their happy ending also meant the end of the series. This book explored the ideas of forgiveness, loss, and second-chances. While at times, heartbreaking, Rock Wedding incorporated friendship and love mixed with some humor. Abe and Sarah both had past hurts they needed to overcome for their relationship to work a second time. While parts of this book broke my heart, I never doubted that Sarah and Abe would find their way back to each other. Once again, Nalini Singh has produced a book which highlights the power of love.

Second chance is a favorite trope of mine, and Rock Wedding definitely hit all the right notes! As always, Nalini Singh’s writing is top-notch and this book was a wonderful read about love and forgiveness, that tugged at my heartstrings!

Famous rock musician Abe Bellamy and his wife Sarah’s marriage was doomed by Abe’s demons and Sarah’s insecurities. Sarah is a high school dropout from the wrong side of the tracks and she never felt that she belonged in her husband’s world. And, obviously, he never gave her any reason to think otherwise. I really disliked Abe at first, with his unability to control his anger and drug and alcohol addiction issues. When Sarah finally realizes that Abe doesn’t even make the effort to show her some affection, she decides to leave him and files for divorce.

Fast forward two years, Sarah’s freedom has been beneficial to her self-esteem. She is stronger and independent. Her life has not been easy, though. She has been going through difficult times with a man she thought could be trusted and she has lost her child. Abe has cleaned up his act, after a successful rehab, and desperately wants to apologize to her. I loved that both characters had grown and Sarah was finally proud of her achievements, as a small business owner. Abe is ready to face his responsibility in the failure of their marriage, but he refuses to believe he has lost Sarah forever. He puts in motion a plan to win back his ex-wife and rekindle their relationship. I enjoyed their witty banter, their connection and chemistry can’t be denied. I loved that Abe had to fight for Sarah, she was still wary of him and had to accept the dreaded media intrusion. But this time around, their relationship was based on respect. Not to mention a twist that I won’t spoil! These two really made me sigh of happiness!

I also enjoyed the interactions with Abe’s bandmates and their respective partners. I highly recommend this lovely, sweet and deeply emotional second chance story, that can be read as a standalone. It was my first read in the Rock Kiss series, but I will definitely catch up!

This is the first book by Nalini Singh that I have read and I can honestly say that it won't be my last!!! Okay, so I highly advise reading this series in order, but at the same time, if you start with this book (like I did) or with any book, you won't be lost. This was a great second chance romance/rocker book!!

Right from the start of this book, I was crying. I was crying for the hurt and pain and loss that Abe was going through, but I was also crying for the hurt that Sarah was going through. No one should be made to feel like Abe made her feel. I loved watching Sarah emerge from all of the heartache and loss and become a woman who is vivacious and lives her life to the fullest. Sarah was such a sweetheart and she had one of the most caring personalities. She may have thought herself weak at some points, but honestly, with everything that she has been through and the fact that she hasn't given up, says that she is one of the strongest people out there.

Abe, he had demons to fight and he fought them throughout this whole book. He was messed up in a bad way and when he finally got the help he needed and was honest with himself, he started healing. I loved how he started treating Sarah and showing her that she means the world to him. I loved that his band mates/friends supported him and were there for him when he needed them. Abe had a tragic loss that he also had to deal with and I was happy that he finally let Sarah in and together they helped each other heal. The passion between Abe & Sarah was intense, loving & true.

This book was just written beautifully and it brought out my emotions in a big way. I am definitely going to go and read the rest of the books in this series, because I just fell in love with everyone!! This book is going on my re read shelf and I can't wait to see what Nalini Singh comes out with next!!

I’ve read almost everything Nalini Singh has ever written and loved all of it (some more and some a bit less), so it pains me to write a less than stellar review and rate one of her books only 3 stars.
This was also the first Nalini Singh book I did not finish in a day or two, but which I had to force myself to continue reading, and I only plodded thru to the end because I needed to write a review.

But first things first: this is the fifth story in the Rock Kiss series, and it’s about Abe and Sarah, of whom we have seen glimpses in previous installments. Abe is the band’s keyboard player and sometime vocalist and he has serious abuse problems: drugs, drinks, and dimwitted groupies, he does it all. Sometime along the way he inexplicably falls in lust with Sarah, marries her, doesn’t change his habits and treats her like dirt, until finally she can’t take it anymore and divorces his [insert North American English informal term for buttocks] (takes her long enough). Then, at the end of Rock Redemption, at the Zenith event, we see Sarah get slapped around by her new boyfriend. The band members rally behind her and Abe finally realizes that he is still very much in love with Sarah and finally decides to get his [insert something you can fertilize your roses with] together and seeks help for his abuse problems. So, that’s were we stand at the beginning of this book.
I actually do like second chance and/or redemption stories, but somehow this one didn’t click for me. I think the main reason was the characterization of the two main protagonists. I had a difficult time to swallow the complete about-turn in Abe’s behavior towards Sarah: when they were married before he behaved like a complete heel to her, he treated her as convenient [insert term denoting a relationship with somebody who you have casual intercourse with but no real emotional attachment] and occasional arm-candy, but otherwise he kept emotionally distant from her, was not interested in anything about her as a person, about her past or what her interests were or even her dreams. And even though he did not physically lay a hand on her, he would psychically abuse her every time he went into a drug-induced fit of rage. But say you paint you hero that way (and I do love reformed bad boys), but then they at least need a horrible past to explain their behavior, even though there is no excuse for it. But far from it, Abe is from a loving, supportive upper middle-class family and ever since he met the guys from Schoolboy Choir his friends have stood by him and had his back. There is a huge personal tragedy in his past, but for me it’s just not enough of a justification.

In comparison I liked Sarah a bit more, even though (at least in the beginning of the book) she was as close to a doormat as I could stand. She is deeply insecure and very needy, and lets Abe get away with [insert another word for manure] and tries to be supportive. Most of this I can overlook, because she was very young when she met Abe, all alone in the world, and she did have a horrible past, so I could kind of relate to her for being awestruck by being noticed by a rock star and also her need to cling to the person that she believed loved her even a little. I also liked that after her divorce she started to build her own life and career, although – even with the suspension of disbelief – I had a hard time believing how she went in two or three years from a rather low-end job to owning her own successful business, especially as apart from going to one or two meetings and making a few phone calls we never see her working.

Now to some other problems in this book, chief among them the (needless) repetition: a reviewer of Allegiance of Honor complained that there were a gazillion descriptions of the clothes that the characters wore and I went "come on, describing dresses adds texture to the story and besides, I did not even notice it". Unfortunately I did notice here, mostly because Abe is always wearing a variation of the same thing, mainly a suit, either black, or charcoal or dark grey, with either a black, charcoal or dark grey shirt. Sadly, the repetition does not end there: Sarah is endlessy fascinated by his stunning physique and his bulging biceps. We already know Abe is a hunk, so no need to reiterate it every time he strips. She in turn is repeatedly described as feeling too tall and too curvy, and even though she claims she is (finally) happy with her body the constant preoccupation with said body actually creates the impression of an unhealthy attitude towards one's own body image.

Obviously I am the last person who should complain about the occasional swear word, and really I don't mind swearing, but it should at least be creative. A variation of the f-word appears a total of 91 times, mostly used either as an expletive or an intensifier and only three times to actually refer to intercourse, so it was just a bit too much for me.

Nothing against a feel-good romance but there was just too much of the happy feeling in this book. Aside from the main protagonists, everybody is deliriously happy all the time, deeply and disgustingly in love (they don't even fight so that they can have make-up sex), and to top it off, there are no less than four! perfect weddings that naturally go off without even the tiniest hitch! Sorry, but 'gag'! It's like eating bar after bar of sinful chocolate, until you get sick of it and crave something savory! And there is even more 'sweetness', but I won't mention it, because it would be a major spoiler!

So now I have to go find me some gritty UF novel with a kick-[insert another word for donkey] heroine who worries more about her fighting prowess than her looks or some dark romance with a deliciously bad anti-hero to get this feeling of cloying sweetness outta my head!

Rock Wedding is raw, painful, emotional. It cuts into your heart and makes you bleed. You feel every bit of Sarah's pain and Abe's remorse. Rock Wedding is also a journey. You travel through Sarah and Abe's reunion, Sarah learning to trust again, and Abe redeeming himself in her eyes and in her heart to win back that trust.

While Rock Wedding is predominantly about Sarah and Abe, which I will get into shortly, it is also a visit with old friends and members from the band from previous books. We get to see Fox and Molly blissfully happy and celebrate their wedding with them. Similarly for David and Thea, as well as Noah and Kit. This story is all about happy endings and celebrating the joy and love between all these couples. It's unapologetically mushy but I love it.

Rock Wedding is the most difficult book of Nalini Singh's I've ever read. My heart shattered in the opening chapters over the way Sarah was treated. It was harsh and painful and it left a gaping wound in my heart. I honestly didn't know if I could continue reading because Sarah's pain was so raw and Abe was so brutal with his words. There was a point early on in the book where I thought I could not finish it because I could not bear the pain Sarah had suffered. But then Abe showed up and piece by piece, as he rebuilt his relationship with Sarah, his perseverance and his determination gave me hope. Plus this is a romance, so knowing there would be a happy ending gave me the courage to carry on. Yes, I know, I sound like to total wuss. :-/

Nalini is likely the only author I know who writes broken, damaged heroines but writes them with such skill that I'm cheering for them every step of the way because let's face it, Sarah was very broken and damaged but man, was she strong. She rebuilt her life on her own from the foundation of her divorce from Abe and she made a success of her life. While she continued to remain emotionally fragile and plagued with fears, I knew they were justified and I did not get annoyed with her for holding on to them for as long as she did. Instead, I considered her brave for opening her life and her heart to Abe again, despite what she went through in the past. She was willing to give him a chance to prove himself while still having reservations and allowing some of her fears hold her back. She needed Abe to prove himself to her and that was exactly what he did, though it was not an easy journey. Fortunately, along the way, there was the rest of the Schoolboy Choir gang along with their ladies to provide encouragement and support.

Abe was a very difficult hero for me. I had an even harder time forgiving him of his actions than I did Noah from Rock Redemption and believe me, Noah did some pretty awful things. Abe has demons. His demons howl loud and long and chase him from a rich fulfilling life into one of excess, addiction and self-destruction. Along the way, it also destroyed the most important relationship in his life to the one woman he can't live without. Abe has a lot of making up to do. He has to prove himself to Sarah and it's hard work to rebuild a trust that was shattered as unequivocally as he did Sarah's. But Abe manages to come through for Sarah with sincerity and determination. As I read, I waited with baited breath for Abe to backslide and it was a rather nail biting journey for me to see how he did. But each time Sarah faltered, and he said "I've got you" with such strength and devotion, my heart melted for him. I wanted him to conquer his demons. I wanted him to be a better man for Sarah. And I most definitely wanted him to be able to prove himself to her and win her back.

Like I said, Abe and Sarah's story is a journey. It's the journey of how two people find each other again, believe and trust each other again, after a world of hurt and misunderstanding separated them. It's life. And as I read it, I realised Nalini managed to weave a story which showed us the ups and downs of life as Abe and Sarah reconciled. There were emotional moments and intense moments, but mostly, Nalini showed us with great skill what life was like in it's everyday ordinariness and yet managed to make it engaging and believable. Of course, the whole rock star lifestyle is a little outside of my realm of understanding, and that's where the craziness and extraordinariness comes in, but overall, I felt like this story was great because it was a reflection of life.

Well done, Nalini. You have another winner with Rock Wedding. I can't wait to read about Gabe's brothers in your next series.

Wow! What an amazing ending to the Rock Kiss series, is almost like Nalini saved the best for last. Don't get me wrong, it truly loved all the other band members but this story was so emotionally intense and real that is sucked me in from the very first page and kept me up late at night! Such a depth and richness to a poignant love story, tender and rough, the story had me laughing and crying. I can't wait for the next contemporary romance from Nalini having loved her paranormal romances for years now. What a journey, I'm so glad there are still adventures ahead!

Rock Wedding is the last instalment in the Rock Kiss Series. It can be read as a stand-alone though.
Abe and Sarah’s story is about second chances and very emotional. They have both suffered great losses in the past and have also suffered from each other’s actions. I was rooting for them and they really deserved their happily ever after.
I liked that Sarah made Abe work real hard for a second chance with her after he treated her so badly during their brief marriage.
It was also nice to catch up with the other couples. Great conclusion to the series!

I was very much looking forward for this book to come out. And I was not disappointed with the plot/story. Abe and Sarah has been through a lot and despite what others had to say about the book I really enjoy it. I felt that Nalini Singh explain a lot and between the two. She even went as far back as to explain what made them divorce.

What I really love the most is that that Abe never gives up on Sarah, and fights for another chance with her. I also love the fact that he allows her in and tells her with no excuses that the man he was in the past was unacceptable.

That is a big thing to admit, even when you know that you were the cause of the divorce in the first place. Abe and Sarah go through a lot and if you read the book before this one, you kind of hope that whatever it was that made them break apart. Wouldn't be so bad that they would not be able to be with one another again. But that's just it what happen between them was something so huge, that made me even be like "Uh no. don't go back with him." at one point. But being a stubborn but determined man that Abe is he's not going to allow Sarah to get away from him again.

And that's what I truly love about this. That no matter how difficult the past is they could still have a future. Life is not all white and black, there is a lot of grey. But you have to sometimes realize that mistakes were made. But was the mistake to hard for you to forgive or is it something that you can't forgive.

There are a lot of scenes in this book that made me life one of them was the part where the guys are talking about the girls night out, before the wedding. The bride maid party, and someone brought of the fact that the girls could've had a stripper. And this froze the males in there tracks. Lol this part was very funny to me. Lol I could just imaging the jealousy that was on there minds and body.

What I really enjoy is the little scene towards the end of the book, as much as I want to talk about it I won't ruin it. But the scene was so cute that it made me happy for them. If you want to know what this could possibly be you're going to have to read the book. Sadly this is the last part of the book

Sarah loved Abe fiercely, and when he told her to leave and that he didn't love her it nearly broke her. But she picked herself back up and learned to move on without him. Years later their paths cross again and Abe makes it known that he wants Sarah back in his life. He's clean now and knows he screwed up big time with Sarah, but he's willing to do anything to show her that he's the one for her.

Rock Wedding was a heartbreaking story, but i couldn't get enough of it once I started. The journey Sarah had to go through before she could finally get her Happily Ever After was one that would break most of us. But she stayed strong throughout the book and I loved that about her.

Abe and Sarah's story was very intriguing and I found it impossible to put down once I got through Part One. Abe was swoon-worthy, and he totally made up for making me hate his guts in the beginning. I loved their story for the ending of this series, and it was the perfect way to bring closure for this group of characters.

This is a second chance romance about two people who loved each other very much but broke apart….

Sometimes you love so much that you get sucked in by everything about them and you don’t care about anything other than being with that person that’s how Sarah Smith felt when she first married Abe. Then slowly like anything shiny their relationship started rusting. With Sarah doing so much to try and make Abe give up the drugs. At the same time trying not to let the man he was becoming let her feelings/heart get hurt. It left her in a fragile state.

Abraham ‘Abe’ Bellamy on the other hand after losing his baby sister had been in slowly heading towards a rock bottom, his marriage to Sarah helped for some time but the allure of drugs and alcohol was just too much. He was an ass towards his wife especially near their end of their marriage and divorce. When he finally wakes up, gets help and is getting better…it’s a little too late in terms of his relationship with his wife.

The book starts off the with the end of Sarah and Abe’s marriage and it is heart breaking seeing someone so in love feeling lonely and trying so hard to make it work. Then it’s a couple of years later when the book picks up again.

Sarah is very different now to the person she was when she married Abe. She had been young and very insecure not only about herself, her self worth but also about her relationship with Abe and his family. She had so much love to give and she was lonely. Now she has her own business, she’s more confident and even though she is dealing with grief she is a lot more comfortable being herself then she was before.

Abe too is in a better place now, he’s clean and sober for one. He’s also isn’t ready to let go of the woman he loves even though she would rather not have anything to do with him. I liked that Abe was upfront about the fact that he messed up and he was the one who was the cause of their divorce. The only woman he had loved was Sarah and he knew that it wouldn’t be easy to convince Sarah to give them a second shot. So he starts wooing back Sarah.

rock wedding teaser 2

Sarah is reluctant to start a relationship with the guy who broke her heart, but she is still very vulnerable when it comes to Abe. The Abe she sees now is the one that she got to see during those brief moments in their marriage when they were happy. There was pull and push going on with Sarah trying not to give in and Abe trying to pull her back to him.

Sarah and Abe had a great connection and chemistry which as Sarah said was never the problem in their marriage it was other things. Both the characters have suffered pretty badly while Sarah dealt with her abandonment issues by trying to be the perfect wife, Abe with the death of sister did it by doing drugs. Their separation leads them to being better versions of themselves who are however still in love with each other. They both go through quite a lot of development, get to learn/love each other again and find out some aspects of each other that were hidden when they were married.

This book deals with quite a few issues like addiction, recovery, pain and loss of losing a child/a sister but it also shows love, forgiveness and a happy ever after. I think the author did a good job at dealing with the issues and with Abe without making me hate him and feel like Sarah deserved someone better. I understood where they were both coming from and both their feelings were dealt with equal consideration. It made me as it always does with Nalini Singh a range of emotions, from heartache for Sarah at the start to happiness/feeling giddy for them when they got their HEA.

We also get cameo’s from other couples from the series and get to see some weddings (David & Thea’s, Noah & Kit’s). I’ll be eagerly waiting to read about Gabriel and Charlotte’s wedding!! Also GOOD NEWS Gabriel’s brothers will be getting their own stories which makes me happy because that means more of Gabriel and Charlotte ??.

Ultimately the book is about two people who had gone through some pretty tough times together & alone and at the end they found their way back to each other. I really liked it, it was sweet, lovely and it suited the couple. It left me with a smile.

When Sarah met Abe she thought she had been swept of her feet by Prince Charming, all she ever wanted was to be part of a family, to have someone to love and who loved her in return. She never felt worthy of his attention and she never felt that he loved her as much as she loved him but she was sure that her love would be enough to see them through anything. That all changed after her miscarriage when Abe wasn't there for her when she needed him desperately, in fact he pushed her away in his grief and said some terrible hurtful things that left her heart completely shattered. Since then Sarah has built up a successful business but she went from a disastrous relationship with Abe to an even worse one with someone else and now she's in trouble.

It was Abe's friends who helped her when she's at her lowest point and now her growing friendship Molly and the other band member's girlfriends put her back in contact with Abe again too. Abe has spent years struggling with grief since the death of his sister and he know he lost the best thing that ever happened to him when he pushed Sarah away in a drug and drink fueled rage. He desperately wants to make amends and prove that he can be the man she always wanted, the man she deserves, but Sarah has had her heart broken already and it's going to take a lot for her to open back up to him again.

There were times when Rock Wedding wasn't an easy read, Sarah and Abe have both been through a lot of heartbreak and they're both still grieving for people they've loved and lost but it just shows how amazing Nalini Singh's writing is that you're right there with them both sharing their pain. I love a good second chance romance but only when it's done right and this book hit the spot perfectly, the couple both made mistakes in their relationship, although Abe's drug use was certainly the biggest cause of their problems, but they've come through the other side stronger than ever. I was a little worried that it would be hard to believe Abe has overcome his addictions but we've seen him sober for a long time now and the way he was able to open up to Sarah about things that he'd always bottled up in the past proves how much he has changed.

If there was ever a couple that deserved to find happiness it has to be these two and it was so beautiful seeing them finally get a chance to put things behind them and move on with their lives. I also loved seeing how all the other couples are doing, there are some really sweet and funny moments between the whole gang that left me with a huge smile on my face. This series has been such a fantastic one and I'm sure it'll be one I reread in the future but in the meantime I'm excited to get to know the rest of Gabe's brothers when Nalini starts publishing the spin off series!

I've sat on my thoughts regarding this book for three days and I'm still not sure exactly what I'd like to say. On the one hand, it's a Nalini Singh book so you know you're in for some goodness. On the other, I'm a picky chick and I had my issues while reading Rock Wedding. Here we go.

A woman who knew she wasn’t loved could never quite settle in.

Sarah and Abe are well known to Rock Kiss series readers, but this was my first time meeting them. Luckily their relationship back story is laid out from the beginning so I never felt like I was missing out. Abe, badass keyboard player, met and married Sarah during a time of personal tragedy. After two years of being kept at an emotional distance and one particularly harsh confrontation with Abe, Sarah's had enough and leaves the marriage.

Fast forward two years and the two are back in each others orbit. Almost immediately Abe realizes he wants his wife back. Is it too little, too late?

Emotionally this book completely worked for me. Normally when a man looses his woman due to his own extreme assholeness, I'm the one rooting for his demise. Or at least a swift kick to the balls, but whatever. Abe made it impossible not to root for him and an eventual happy ending.

This is my first Nalini Singh Contemporary Romance. As a fan of her PNR stuff, I already knew the woman can write. What I wasn't sure of was how that writing would translate to the world of a famous rock band. Unfortunately for me it wasn't as successful as I'd hoped. As good as the writing is, there's a formality to it that doesn't ring true for young musicians. These characters are in their late twenties or so and I just wasn't feeling it.

I realize I'm late to the party and missed out on the rest of the band's epic love stories, but a hefty portion of this book involves scenes of the men congratulating each other on their awesome women. And in turn, the women waxing poetic over their relationships with the best men ever. Or talking about deep rooted bonds. Or something. I knew early on this book would also serve as a kind of epilogue for the rest of the series, but I feel like Sarah and Abe's individual story suffered a little because of it.

Did I love Rock Wedding? No, but I'm still interested in checking out the rest of the series. Abe and Sarah had what sounds like a colorful beginning and experiencing that would be worth the reading time.

Each book has featured a different band mate and given us a glimpse at their friendship and for me this book was the perfect end

This is the final book in her Rock Kiss contemporary series, which was a departure from her more paranormal roots. Each book has featured a different band mate and given us a glimpse at their friendship and for me this book was the perfect ending to the series.

At the beginning of the book Abe and Sarah broke my heart almost immediately and it was clear that where I thought this was going to go was definitely not going to happen. Abe was a complete jerk from the start and when Sarah remakes herself as a successful I was cheering for her and wanting her to be able to say ‘screw you’ to Abe since he scarred her pretty well.

This story gave me all the feels from start to finish. Singh has an exquisite way of describing everything here from the emotions of heartache to the perfection of a 5 star meal. All of these details really came together to lend itself to more emotion in the book. I enjoyed watching how much Sarah grow from the beginning of the book to when Abe and she began talking again. It was such a transformation, yet really a believable one given what she had gone through. Speaking of believable transformations, Abe’s was just as believable.

She had to keep her distance if she was to have any chance of protecting her battered heart. Because this Abe? The one who sent her glowers and books and who dropped by to make sure she was all right? He was more dangerous than the man who’d broken her to pieces.
But back to the feels. I seriously cried twice while reading this book – and I’m not one to cry at the drop of the hat! There was more than one wedding featured in the book and I cried at the descriptions of everything from the camaraderie to the dress to the vows. This was an emotional rollercoaster of a book from start to finish and it was such a wonderful conclusion to the series. I loved how it finished everything with the band but also included so many great scenes with everyone throughout the book.

The exciting thing is that there will be a connected contemporary story about Gabriel’s brother! So, while this is the end of the series, it’s not quite the actual end of everything.

Thoughts: Rock Wedding is one of the best stories of redemption and forgiveness I’ve ever read, and as far as this reader is concerned puts Singh at the very top of this generations storytellers.

Over the course of this series we’ve watched Abe as he’s gotten clean and started to take back the life that drugs and alcohol stole from him. Of all the things he truly regrets it’s how the drugs made him treat his wife. Now that he’s clean he’s on a mission to get her back.

Sarah is a fantastic heroine. When everything went south with Abe she didn’t hide she rebuilt her life, and then it all fell apart again…only this time Abe is there to help her through it. While she doesn’t trust Abe to not break her heart she’s willing to give him a second chance.

I have to say that of all the books in this series this one is my second favorite behind Rock Hard. There is a lot of emotion, forgiveness and maturing that happens in a way that doesn’t make you want to hate either of them, but rather you will cry and laugh and root for them to work everything out and find their happily ever after.

I also really liked seeing all of the other couples’ weddings…with the exception of Gabriel and Charlie’s and I have to tell you I can’t wait for her to write that scene and his brothers stories.

Nalini Singh writes with heart and it shows in the emotions that she draws out of each of her characters. None more obvious than the 'never say die' spirit that she's given Abe.
The Rock Kiss series has long been a favorite from the moment I met the men that make up School Boy Choir.
Yes, these men may be rough around the edges, but their hearts are always in the right place. (But being men they screw things up...A lot.)
Abe isn't like the other guys. He's quiet and almost always it's those that you have to watch out for. Lucky for Abe he's got three "brother's" that do just that.
I always wondered why Abe drank and used drugs to the point of endangering his life. And the reason stunned me. It also broke my heart and made me understand this man better.
Sarah thinks she's not good enough to be loved and that alone twisted my heart into a little knot. No one should ever feel that way. And the fact that Abe was not a good husband to her. I wanted to punch him.
She too has experienced a loss that steals her breath and makes her spirit hurt. And when she finds that Abe seems to be the only one who really understands, well Sarah isn't sure she can trust him.
But the way Abe goes about trying to win her heart again...(sigh), a girl's dream.
Rock Wedding is the story of Abe and Sarah and how together they find their happy ever after.
And as a bonus we get front row seats as Fox and Molly, David and Thea, Noah and Kit and Abe and Sarah exchange vows and promise forever.
I'm sad that this series is ending.

So, after reading the absolute heartwrenching beauty that was Rock Redemption, I wasn't sure my heart could handle another angst-fest from this series. But, I was so wrong. This story was sweet, and real, and so lovely, and though their past was filled with pain, watching them come back to each other was fantastic.

Abe is the band's keyboardist. He's a giant of a man and wow, has he got some demons. He's been fighting a drug addiction and alcohol problem in the previous books, but he's finally gotten clean, for good this time. After the death of his baby sister ripped the heart out of him and his marriage and divorce from Sarah took the rest, he was an empty shell of himself before rehab.

Sarah married Abe young, and she loved him so much. She fought for him through a lot of his issues, but she finally left him after one terrible night. They hurt each other so much during their divorce, and she thought he was out of her life forever. She suffered a tragedy shortly after their break-up, and she's still trying to recover from it. At a music festival, back in book 3, she gets assaulted by her boyfriend, while trying to break it off with him, and Abe and the guys step in to help her. She's horrified and embarrassed, but she appreciates all their kindness. That kindness leads to friendships with the ladies of the crew, and that puts her right back in Abe's orbit.

They reconnect at Fox & Molly's wedding, and things progress from there. (Also, there's a Charlie-mouse and T-Rex sighting at the wedding!! Yay!) She's extremely wary of risking herself with Abe again. Meanwhile, Abe is determined to win Sarah back, for good this time. In his sobriety he's realized that all the issues they had during their marriage were his fault. His issues, his addictions, his mess of a life, all spilled over onto her, and he wants so badly to make up for it. Things aren't easy, but you really wish happiness for this pair!

Watching this broken couple come back together, and really face their issues and deal with them was inspiring. Seeing them truly approach their situation as adults and talk honestly about their issues was truly refreshing. So many times in romance, especially second-chance romance, there's still abundant misunderstandings and lack of communication. There was none of that here, and I really enjoyed that so much. I truly came to love Abe and Sarah, both separately and as a couple. Abe has had so many issues and caused so many problems for the band throughout the series, that it was fantastic to see him finally come into the light.

I really loved this story, and it was a perfect ending to this series! We got to see so much of the rest of the crew in this one, and we got to see where they all end up too. It was so great. I'm also excited to know we get to see some more of this crew, especially Charlie and Gabriel, in the other books that will come out about Gabriel's brothers. Hot Kiwi Rugby players?! Yes, please. Can't wait!

Sarah and Abe were going to open themselves to each other in ways that surprised even this seasoned reader’s heart… I hit 20% and already I knew, I knew, this book was going to be something special. I immediately started looking around to talk to others who just had to be feeling the same way. Surely everyone is reading this book! Savouring this book just like me. Well, they either are or will be!

The sorrow, the heartbreak, the raw emotion gutted me and left me a sobbing mess more than once. Running out of tissues was a small price to pay for the sheer joy of this story. Add in redemption, forgiveness and unselfish love and this author moved from my favourite authors list to a shelf all on her own…

Sarah Smith went through life feeling like she didn’t belong. When she found Abe Bellamy, was included in his family – both blood and band, she tried to do everything right, to finally fit in, be loved. She knew Abe’s feelings weren’t as deep but hers were enough to bridge the gap. Until Abe finally let his demons loose on the one who never left his side. And shattered even that bond…

Gawd, how do I explain the sadness, the happiness, and the heart-wrenching emotions this story took me through? Sarah lost so much in her life, was pummeled over and over, but each time she stood back up, to be the kind, incredible person she couldn’t even acknowledge of herself. My heart broke for her and Abe as they went through so, so much. More loss then anyone should have to handle. And through it all, through rejection, grief and pain, Abe realized what he had, what he could have again, and started a full-on assault to recovery that was paved with humbling gentleness and caring that would soothe both their spirits.

“It wasn’t atonement, wasn’t redemption. It was hope… and need… and love.”

I’m trying to find mere words to describe how this book made me feel – how it made me feel all the feels – but maybe this works best…

“You have me… Whatever happens, however this ends, you have me. Always.”

100%. Drops the kindle. Face-plants on the pillow. Completely, happily, done.

Starts all over again…

Five++++++ stars!

I loved this series! Each book was better than the last. I’m so glad each story was interwoven! While all of the books had steamy sex scenes they always came back to sweet love stories! Rock wedding is book 4 and the final instalment of nalini Singhs Rock kiss series.

Nalini is known for her phenomenal paranormal romance writing however has tried her hand at contemporary romance with her Rock kiss series. I believe she excels at everything she has attempted so far and this series is definitely one to check out if you haven't yet.

The best thing I love about the Rock kiss series is that each book focuses on a different band member and therefore we get introduced to many aspects of the rockstar life and see different personalities, turmoils,

Alright, let's get to Rock Wedding. This book focuses on keyboard band member Abe and his relationship with ex wife Sarah, after she renters his life at a festival they attended as part of Rock Redemption. They already had one go at marriage which ended in disaster but let me tell you, this is a second chance story to end all second chance stories.

I had so many favourite moments in this story, it was hard to narrow them down.

I shed many tears in the opening chapters of the book as we get into the past, present and future of both Abe and Sarah. These characters are all portrayed so vividly that we get sucked in and experience everything the characters do alongside with them. A very emotional roller coaster, but definitely a story that needed to be told and explored.

As I like to keep my reviews as spoiler free as possible, I will just end by saying that this instalment will give you tears of joy, tears of sadness and tears of frustration. Tissues probably won't go amiss. Even though I'm sad that this is the end of the series, Nalini has mentioned that we will still see the characters pop up in short stories in the future, which I am so thankful for. I just adore these characters and I hope you do too.

I have read Nalini Singh's paranormal stories for many years and this was my first contemporary romance. She is a wonderful writer and it is interesting to see her unique style in this genre.

At the heart of this story is a second chance at love for two people that loved each other but were not really ready for a relationship. He never really dealt with his issues and pain and it caused him to act out during their marriage. She was so insecure and not able to stand up for her self. She finally leaves and tries to start over but hasn't really abandoned those feelings. When he makes it clear he wants her back. she is pushed to take another chance.

Abe is a complicated man. He has major issues with drugs and alcohol. He realizes he has made mistakes and wants his wife back. She was the best thing in it. He really said and did some major damage and it may be hard for some readers to forgive his actions. I think they make him more realistic.

Sarah has struggled to overcome her insecurities. She has had some real success professionally but not personally. She really does love Abe and I think still feels committed to him even after their divorce. It is a risk for her to give him another try but I think she would have regreted and wondered if she did not.

It is an emotional read and I recommend it to those who like more realistic characters. I highly recommend her other series too set in the paranormal world. They are what hooked me on her books.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy.

Sarah stood by Abe thorough all the drugs, booze, the stints in rehab and the backsliding. Especially on a day like today it's the anniversary of his younger sisters death. Sarah doesn't think that she is good enough for Abe's world and it was determined that fateful night that what she thought was true. Know Abe is clean and he will do anything to get Sarah back and make her see that he is a changed man.

Sarah is Abe's ex wife, she started her own business and its very successful, she has been hurt by men more times then she can count. Blames herself for a lot of things that happen to her. Abe is an addict, The keyboardist for The School Boy Choir. He has changed since the last time Sarah saw him. Noah is Abe, Fox and David's friend, he took Abe to rehab. He is a member of The School Boy Choir. Fox is engaged to Molly, he is Abe, Noah and David's Friend. He is Part of The School Boy Choir. David is Part of the School Boy Choir, engaged to Thea. Abe, Noah and Fox's friend. Thea is the Publicist for The School Boy Choir, engaged to David.

The Choir is back together again in the fourth and final installment of the Rock Kiss Series. This book is very well written and the characters are very well developed. I loved that I was drawn in from the first page and that I found this book very hard to put down.

Just finished it and I loved it. such a great way to end the series! Abe definitely had a lot of making up to but he did it spectacularly. I loved everything about this book. The storyline was great. It only took me so long because I was feeling with apartment issues. Abe and sarah were perfect together and I'm so glad everything worked out for them. This book and series are amazing. Definitely try this!

I was given an advanced copy of this book to write an honest review for Netgalley and Cocktails and Books.

This is an emotional, sweet story about a hard living rocker who tries to win his ex-wife back. Abe is the keyboardist for the rock group Schoolboy Choir. When he was married to Sarah he ruined their marriage with his drug and alcohol use and never letting Sarah know how much he really cared. Now, two years later, Abe wants Sarah back and he is willing to do whatever it takes to prove to her how much he has changed. Sarah doesn't believe Abe or trust him. Even though she still loves him she is afraid he will only hurt her again. He hurt her her too many times during their marriage and he than he left her to fend for herself.

I really liked these two together and thought they had a lot of chemistry. They are both vulnerable and had tragedies in their pasts. So even though they are good together, they are afraid to let go and fall in love. Abe is tormented and he tries hard to be a better person for Sarah because he loves her so much and he is willing to do anything to be with her again.

This the fourth book in the Rock Kiss series and I have read and enjoyed all the books in this series. This story has a lot of entertaining secondary characters that add to the story and it was fun catching up with the the guys in the band and their significant others.

Oh, my goodness, Abe and Sarah killed me dead. I could see both sides of their story and I got where both of them were coming from. Abe's addictions shattered Sarah and she's very leery of letting him back into her life and loving him again only to lose him if he falls back into his old ways.

On Abe's side, he knows he messed up. He knows he failed Sarah, but he doesn't necessarily see the depth of the hurt he caused. Mostly because Sarah had never shared key parts of her past with him. There were failings on both their sides during their marriage and loving one another wasn't enough to keep things from falling apart.

Buuuuut,,,they've both learned from their mistakes and grown stronger by facing them. Sarah isn't the woman she was. Surviving her losses and managing to make something of herself despite the obstacles thrown in her way has given her confidence. Abe understands that falling back into his addictions will destroy so many things in his life and he's unwilling to let that happen.

Guuuuys, this was a second chance romance that made me so happy. Abe and Sarah were able to take their crumbled foundation and build something even stronger on it. AND we got to see the other members of the band in their happy places. *draws glittery hearts around everyone*

(I'm SUPER excited to know we haven't seen the end of this world, too. Hot, rugby loving dudes! LET ME AT 'EM!)

WOW! There were so many tears for both Sarah and Abe. There were times I hated Abe but ultimately I couldn't hate him for long. They both have pasts that have influenced who they are today and they have both grown and learned from their mistakes.

This was my first experience with Nalini Singh and I was not disappointed. My only wish was that I had read the previous books in this series.

I had already listened to the rest of this series and they were great. I wished my library had this in audio.

The sharing of Sarah's pain over the loss of Aaron was poignant. I've been there and it was like I was right back in my past.

Abe and Sarah's story will just tug at the readers' heartstrings with every emotion in can wring out of them. A true story of forgiveness, redemption and falling in love again. Rock Wedding is truly a completion story for these bad boys of rock! Plus that cover is just fantastic, it manages to convey every emotion that the characters have experienced.

The way Abe compliments his woman fits his personality, “I’m a red-blooded man, Sarah,” he said when he finally reached her eyes, “and, sweetheart, you have one hell of an ***.” I love this series, the characters are lovable, you're always routing for them to get what they want in life. Abe is a good man, I really loved him, he was attentive, kind, caring and protective.

I love this series and this is the perfect ending. However, I am sad that it is over. Abe and Sarah have a history. they were once married for a short period of time. Abe was the main cause of the divorce. He was a drug addict and really not ready for a commitment. He was horrible to Sarah. Sarah was very young and insecure. Her lack of confidence did not help their marriage. She always felt like an outsider. Neither character is perfect which is why this story works for me.
When they reconnect Abe, must prove himself. She is not the same girl. She is strong, independent and cautious. Sarah did not welcome him back with open arms. He had to really work to get her to trust him again. this story is about second chances, friendship and unconditional love. We got to visit with the other characters that we met in the previous books. We see one get married while we watch the relationship between Sarah and Abe strengthen. Great ending to a really good series.

I like the way this book, while telling the story of Abe and Sarah, also neatly wrapped up things with the other characters so we're not left wondering about their happy endings and how they went after their book was over.

I'm a huge fan of second chance romance, so I probably was waiting for this story the most. I can't imagine going through some of the things Sarah had to go through and it makes the reader empathize with her immensely. I wanted things to work out for her.

You also have to give it to Abe though, for being a character who realized his flaws and attempted to fix them for the woman he loves.

If you liked the rest of the series, you'll like this too!

I’ve never read a Nalini Singh book before but I was so glad to have sampled her writing through this one. The blurb got me so interested that I knew it would be emotional and I had to read it.

Rock Wedding was so written beautifully that I was so certain now that I’m going to read more from her romance series.

Abe Bellamy and Sarah Smith had a rough start in marriage that forced Sarah to get them a divorce. After Abe Bellamy and Sarah Smith’s rough start in marriage that ended up in a divorce, Sarah started a life anew. And so did Abe, only now he’s fully determined to win back his wife and make things right with her. He just hopes he’s not too late yet.

Second chance romance is my thing. At least, one of them. And this book has ticked the first box of things I look for in a book for me to go on reading—flawless writing. And while I instantly fell in love with Nalini’s words and narration, the story, however, didn’t do justice to it. At least for me. There’s just too many triggers in the first part of the book that I almost ended up DNF-ing but went forward still because I was waiting for that grand grovelling part that’s supposed to happen—but didn’t, on the way to redemption.

Nalini made sure Abe Bellamy wouldn’t be in my list of potential book boyfriends because of his Class A-holery behaviour in the story. He’s a drug addict (Trigger 1), verbally abusive of his wife (Trigger 2), and he treated Sarah with so much disgust (Trigger 3) I ached for the woman who wanted nothing but to be loved by her husband. Even when as the story progressed, and Abe got cleaned, changed, yada-yada, I couldn’t just find it in my heart to forgive every little bad thing he put Sarah through because of his addiction and despair that went with it. I guess that’s the thing about putting the hero under a different light. You have to have one grand gesture to erase all the bad memories from the past to make it up in the present and I’m very sorry to say it felt short in that department.

I’m not really sure what I’d do to Sarah either. She started to be a strong female character especially after the divorce when she wanted to have her own individuality which I really admired but then all of a sudden she wanted to bang her ex-husband? When she was mourning? Because she got carried away? I’m sorry but I don’t think I get that. For the record, I was very relieved that she didn’t accept Abe’s apologies right away. However, I think that was still fast. I was hoping she would make him sweat even further and for longer but I didn’t get that, too.

I wouldn’t say I was turned off but I was a bit disappointed with the character development considering it should make a huge impact on the story. There were also a lot of random moments of Abe and Sarah together (attending weddings of Abe’s bandmates, events, social functions here and there) and very little of them dealing with their issues at hand when they were still married. Also, being this a rockstar romance as well, there wasn’t much of anything that’s concert-related or music composition given the raw and deep emotions the story’s going for. Just the usual paparazzi and fandom.

It wasn’t that bad, it wasn’t that good either. There are moments that I liked personally, the weddings, especially, the almost-plot that could be a potential springboard to another thing and don’t get me started on the way it was written (it was perfect in the dual third person POV), but I couldn’t get past the way Abe behaved in the beginning? Perhaps, if he suffered a little bit more? Something like that? However, this won’t stop me from picking up a romance book of Nalini Singh. In fact, I’m planning on reading the first books in the series because the secondary characters were all interesting! Overall, the book perfectly exhibited that love always wins and the forgiveness that comes with it.

I loved Sarah and admired her determination to keep going even when her life got turned around. Abe was likable by the end, but his actions at the beginning really made it difficult. I'm still not a hundred percent sure he groveled enough, but that may just be my personal issue. I was not the biggest fan of the situation that "forced" Sarah and Abe to give their relationship another try either. Loved seeing the other Rock Kiss couples interacting and being so awesome. I'm really excited to read about Gabriel's brothers now!

Can you ever trust the person that shattered your heart again? Sarah was destroyed when Abe threw her love in her face, he said awful things to her and it broke her. She has now gotten her life back on track, her ex is now gone and she is safe again.
Abe needs her back, he knows that he really hurt her and he is hoping for another chance. Sarah knows that she can't go back to that place again, Abe hurt her and she doesn't know if she can ever forgive him completely.
Can they start again or is it just for the wrong reason?
Wow this is one beautiful love story that made me cry, laugh and just hope for a new beginning filled with happiness and love. Best in the series.

This book is a must read if you have been following this series but if you haven't the romance and character development are disappoint.

A great deal of time is spent with the other couples which is nice but while exploring the lost of a child and the hope for a rainbow baby is well down dealing with the hero recovery is not explored to the degree it needs to be for me to be happy with the ever after.

Forgiveness is certainly earned with new behavior but the heroines own past behaviors aren't worked out with the hero.

I wanted to feel the ache of the healing in this romance and it just wasn't very well explored in most places.

I was given this book for my honest review. So, there you have it.

This is a rich romance about second chances between Abe, a rock star keyboard player in a band and Sarah the wife he takes for granted. Abe has to come to grips with his addiction before he realizes what he lost.

This has to be my favorite in the series yet! It is so emotional and such a beautiful story. Second chances romances are one of my favorite types of stories to read. Abe and Sarah are such strong characters. For them to both have been through so much is heartbreaking. I absolutely loved everything about this story. Without going into anymore details, pick up this book today. You definitely won't regret it, or any Nalini Singh story for that matter. I love her work. Great finale. It was great getting to see all of the rest of the characters as well.

"Rock Wedding" is written by Nalini Singh, and it is the 4th book in her Rock Kiss series. It can be read as a stand-alone book. It features Abe Bellamy and Sarah Smith.

I absolutely adore this series! "Rock Wedding" is a story about a second chance at love. I have been waiting for Abe and Sarah's story, and it certainly met my expectations and then some!

When Abe and Sarah got married the first time, the downfall was Abe's drug addiction and how he coped with his sister's loss. Sarah wanted to help him. She loved Abe even though she knew he didn't love her. But one night, his words did it for Sarah. She left and never came back. She was heartbroken.

Fast forward to the present. Abe is sober and in a better place. He has the support of his fellow bandmates. What's missing is the one person who made him happy - the one person who made him want to be a better man. The fact that Sarah is in his life again gives Abe hope. He wants to prove her wrong. Will Sarah be able to trust Abe? Can they get their second chance at love?

Nalini certainly wrote a winner! "Rock Wedding" was so poignant and heartfelt! It was a wonderful way to end this series!

I enjoyed parts of the story however I felt it was lacking... I think the story would have been better if we got more of the past first instead of the straw that broke the camels back part of the back story and then bits and pieces of how badly Abe treated Sarah. Also, after Sarah grew a back bone and left Abe I don't think she would of started a new relationship so soon. I felt like their relationship needed more pizzazz....it just seemed boring....

Nalini Singh wrote the final book in Schoolboy Choir band series. I was waiting for a table at a restaurant with tears in my eyes as I read the first 15% of the book. A fabulous emotional read of Abe and Sarah as they find their way back to each other in Rock Wedding. I adored seeing the other couples come together and have their weddings through out this book. Abe did a fantastic job showing Sarah that he was a changed man. I wish the dessert midnight place existed

Once again a wonderful story by Nalini Singh. The final story in the Rock Kiss saga focuses on Abe and his ex-wife Sarah. Told in a mix of present day and flashbacks, this is a second chance romance that doesn't disappoint.

Rock Wedding was a lovely close to this series! Nalini Singh once again created characters that were complex enough to be believable in an over the top world. She brought the world of rock stars and fandom into focus and made these characters shine with all their flaws and strengths while giving them room to grow which is the hallmark of good writing. No real surprises, but I didn't want any. Just a deeply satisfying read.

Nalini is one of those few authors who despite genre, she is always a must read. I'm a urban fantasy reader but if Singh is the author, I'll pick it up regardless of genre and once again she knocks it out of the park with this epic contemporary romance than left me wanting more in such a good way.
