You Say It First is a good read-continues the Fool's Gold series. I loved how the book started out, throwing you in total chaos, which is its intention. Don't worry, it gets sorted out quickly enough. The book is very nicely written, and also takes you thru conflicts between mother and daughter. It's not one of those shallow love stories. Definitely read it. I'm already looking forward to the next story in the Happily, Inc series. You will not be wasting your money with this book.

Small town, interesting and varied characters. Weddings in a Box is an interesting concept and I know we're going to have fun with that. I liked Nick when we first came across him in Fool's Gold and I liked him here. His relationship with Pallas is fun and they suit each other. I loved Grandpa Frank and adored Alan. There's a lot of potential for future books with the myriad of characters.

What a great book to start this new spin-off series.

Mallery writes the best characters. The characters in this book are fun, talented, and quirky, but believable. The dialogue between the characters make this book. And of course you could expect nothing less than a HEA in Happily, Inc!

You Say It First is a very sweet story introducing us to the town Happily Inc. where the primary industry is matrimony. The main character, Pallas, owns a wedding business and her friends all help. The characters are likable but a bit idyllic. Her love interest has just moved to town and has a couple of past demons to face. While not actually true-to-life, it works well as a true happily-ever-after novel, which is why most of us we read romance novels in the first place.

Excellent first story from Happily Inc! If you enjoyed Fools Gold, you will enjoy the start of a new series, new town, friends from Fools Gold! Susan Mallory does not disappoint in this next journey!! The story keeps your attention as it unfolds revealing each new character! Leaves you ready for more! I listened to the book on Audible and thoroughly enjoyed every word!! Let's get this new series started! You won't be disappointed!

What can I say - Susan Mallery has created another wonderful town. This is the first book in the series and it does not disappoint. I can tell that I will enjoy visiting Happily Inc and getting to know the people of Happily Inc. This book had some funny moments that had me laughing out loud. I am looking forward to the upcoming books in this series.

Susan Mallery is one author on my must read list. I've read her books for years, and love her series, especially the Fool's Gold and Hometown Heartbreakers! This book is a great start to her new series, and I can't wait to read the next in the series! Her characters are relatable and the stories pull you in. I recommend this book! You won't be disappointed!

Loved this first book in Happily Inc series. Pallas and Nick found that creating together to makes brides the dream wedding..little did either expect to find that they had a chemistry and found out how much they liked working together and enjoyed the falling in love. You can feel the excitement in each wedding as it is created within these book pages!

Another great book in new series. Pallas is owner of a Wedding in a Box that was left to her by a friend. Nick is an artist that she hires to redo some carpentry work for her. He is well known. They work well together and do awesome weddings. Her mom Libby is trying to talk her into going into the banking business with her. Wonderful book and can't wait to read the next one in this series

Welcome to Happily Inc. This starts where Fool's Gold left off and if you loved that town and series as much as I did then it's a no-brainer to buy this book. The first installment of this new series showcases Pallas and Nick as they work through their childhood and family issues. We also get to know this new town and people with all the little quirks that we've come to love from this author. There are a lot of singles in this story so expect several books from this series (<this makes me happy!) I loved it and can't wait for the next visit to Happily Inc.

Susan Mallery delivers another great series to read. The characters are wonderful and the only problem I have is reading to book to fast and wanted the next book of the series to be out. Extension of Fools Gold but will not need to read series to grasp what is going on in this new series. Will not be disappointed and will enjoy and good read.

A brand new series set in Happily, Inc and I love, love, love it! Susan's books always pull me in from the beginning so much so that I almost can't put them down. Her characters are believable and you feel right along with them. Pallas recruits Nick to help out with a wedding and she ends up hiring him to help with her Weddings in a Box business. You'll love watching them fall in love. Can't wait for the next book.

I really enjoyed this book. I read it twice. I really enjoyed Pallas’s girl squad. I’m excited to see where the story line takes each one of them. It was fun to read about them all coming together to throw a wedding. I also think that the Boardroom is a great concept. What fun! I am excited about Happily Inc., and all the great characters to follow.

You Say It First is a compelling story about self worth and the influence of controlling parents. Susan has added some very interesting twists to the story as well as some great true to life situations. Besides being a love story it really does hit on a variety of common communication issues in real life. I received this as a ARC.

Pallas inherited Wedding in a Box business. Pallas needs to find ways to make more money so she can fix the panels for weddings. Pallas hires Nick as a carpenter not realizing he is a famous sculptor. Nick and Pallas hit it off and Nick is a big help to Pallas and her business.

This is the first book in a series that it is set in Happily.Inc. You meet new characters and possibly a love connection or two or three. I liked it although it was not as intriguing as Fools Gold . This is a hit to second base for Susan!

This is a great start to a new series! As odd as the town’s theme weddings concept was at first, it grew on me. Pallas has a knack for bringing events and ideas together and the energy Nick picks up by working close to her awakens more than new outlet for his artistic skills. Each has a struggle for self-identity that threatens to undermine how the think they should feel or act. We all find ways to doubt ourselves and struggles that go with figuring it all out.

Read this in one day. Loved the premise of the book. The wedding planner Pallas and artist Nick had chemistry from the get-go. They had family issues in common and the support they gave each other was touching. The development of their romance was wonderful. Paula's friends are quirky and individuals. I can't wait to read the next installment.

A job interview that starts out with, “Don’t take this wrong, but I really need you to take off your shirt.”, is certainly unique. Nick isn’t quite sure what to make of Pallas, but he is game. Nick, from Fool’s Gold is looking for a gig to fill in before he takes a commission out of the country. Restoring Pallas’s wooden screens will do fine. The more they work together, the closer they become. Pallas needs to decide if making Weddings in a Box a success is possible, while Nick needs to figure out if he is willing to let passion for something other than his art consume him. Mallery’s new series, Happily Inc will be enjoyable for anyone who loved Fool’s Gold.

I'm always looking for the next Susan Mallery book, and this new series is certainly one to enjoy. Complicated relationships caused by family issues, decisions on what path to follow in life, friends who stand by and support are all woven into a story that entertains and holds the reader's interest. Although this is Pallas' story, it also continues Nick's family story. Will Mathias or Ronan be next? Looking forward to the continuation of the Mitchell brothers' stories.

The first in a new series from Susan Mallery and she has struck gold with this one! Again, Mallery writes a great story set in Happily Inc. I was not disappointed in a single word of this story.

I love the new town of Happily, Inc. that Susan Mallery has created. It was fun to get to know this new cast of characters. Pallas and Nick are both great characters each dealing with family issues and struggling to find the place where they belong. It is great that they are drawn together. I look forward to reading future Happily, Inc books to figure out the quirks of each of the characters that we were just introduced to, and who they will be paired up with.

If you mourned when you finished the Fools Gold series you will be thrilled with You Say It First! Several characters from the town of Fools Gold show up in Happily Inc. This is the first book in a new series by Mallery and lots of characters are introduced. By the end of the book, they feel like old friends. Of course, the romance is wonderful and you will be cheering on the couple but you will be sad when the book is over because you won't want to leave the great town of Happily Inc!

Happily Inc reminds me so much of Fools Gold, Susan brings in things and people from Fools Gold but it is freshing to have new characters to explore. Pallas and Nick both don't live up to their parents expectations but are both happy and satisfied in their lives. Nick pushes Pallas to leave her comfort zone a little but and take some risks which helps her grow as well as their relationship. I can't wait to see what else happens in Happily Inc!

As usual Susan writes characters that are emotionally interactive...just like real life. This particular story spoke to me more than any other. Some of the interactions reflect things in my own life. There was a specific statement that provided me with an AHA moment. Therefore this is my favorite book of Susan's. I've loved all her books that I've read, but this one is extremely good. I think it may speak to other readers too!

Loved catching up with some of the Mitchell brothers. The citizens of Happily Inc. are going to be to be so much fun to learn more about.
Both Pallas and Nick have so much in their past to get through, just so they can meet the future with open arms. I really enjoyed reading and seeing the development of both.

I loved the Fools Gold Series and was sad to see it end! I don't have to be sad NO more! This story takes place in Happily Inc. what a "HAPPY" place to be. I want to move there. This story has characters that we first met in Fools Gold. Nick Mitchell is one of those characters. I love him. What a fun and insightful man he is! Pallas is the perfect girl for him. Susan Mallery has now created a new favorite series that I am not able to put down and will be waiting anxiously for the next book to be released!

I enjoyed the Fool’s Gold series and before reading You Say It First I was wondering if Susan would be able to bring the same type of enjoyment to this series. And she did!!!

We meet some new friends, visit a new town and even see a return of some characters from Fool’s Gold. I can only hope that Eddie and Gladys visit Happily in the near future.

Overall an enjoyable read and I am anxiously waiting for the release of Second Chance Girl.

Oh my a new series by Susan Mallery....not sure how we got so lucky. We start in a new town with some old faces. I am so used to jumping right into a Susan Mallery story that the beginning slowed me down. The first few chapters were setting us up in the new town & I fell in love with the town...esp the animals(both 2 and 4 legged variety). I cannot wait for the next in the series!

Susan Mallery has created another new town you'd love to visit or live. Makes you love the town and people. She took some characters from Fool's Gold so you want to follow the characters, in this book it's Nick and his brothers. He comes to the new town Happily, Inc and meets Pallas, the wedding planner, Wedding in a box. Awesome storyline. Can't wait for the next book with the new characters and town. You're sure to love this series like Fool's Gold.

Truly probably a 3.5 star rating for me. I loved the Fools Gold series, so I was excited to start this book. And while I enjoyed the story line of this book, I did not like the romance part. It felt like an afterthought. I didn't feel like there was any chemistry between the two main characters.

Met Pallas who owns Weddings in a Box, and loves to do anything a bride wants. Enter Nick the sculptor who wants to help Pallas in any way he can. Both have parent issues, neither seem to be what the their domineering parent wants. Can't wait for the next book.

Yay :) A new series by Susan Mallery. Come along for a ride to a Happily Inc. a place full of good people that want to make wedding dreams come true--and hopefully get a dream or two of their own along the way.

A worthwhile successor to the Fool's Gold series. I enjoyed this start to a new series. I always like Susan Mallery's romances they tend towards the lighter side. This book was no exception, a fun romance with humor and pathos.

I was nervous about this book as I loved the Fools Gold series and town so much. But Susan Mallery is my favorite for a reason. I'm falling in love with this new town and bringing some familiar faces from Fools Gold was a great idea. You will not be disappointed with this book.

"You say it First" is #1 in a brand new series, Happily Inc. It is a great read to kick off the series. I was sad when the Fool's Gold series finally came to an end, but Happily Inc. has undertones of the latter, such as quirky, lovable, characters and a giraffe. I loved Nick and Pallas and the dynamics of their relationship. A definite page turner that I did not want to end. Well done, well done, Susan Mallery!

“You Say It First” is book 1 in Susan Mallery’s new series “Happily Inc” and I loved it. I can’t wait to read book 2. Susan does a great job getting you interested at the very beginning. She then keeps you reading to see what happens next. Susan Mallery also ties the story back to the Fool’s Gold series which is great. This is another hit for Susan!!

I love the Fool's Gold series and was a little unhappy to see a new series in a new town; however, I loved it. It has all the charm of Fool's Gold with a lovely new cast. I can't wait to read the next in the series. I highly recommend this mew series.

A fun read for fans of Fool's Gold. I liked this book quite a lot. There were several references to Fool's Gold which served as a nice set up to Happily, Inc. The character development was strong and I think this will be a great new series of easy romances.

I loved the first book You Say it First in the Happily Inc. series! You will enjoy getting to know Pallas and Nick. You may not like his attitude toward relationships, but in time that changes. (Yeah!) The family dynamics keeps you enthralled and shows you every family has some issues. The book also confirms that you should follow your heart whether it has to do with work or relationships. You will be waiting for book 2 like I am!

A wonderful start to a new series!!! Fans of the Fools Gold books will not be disappointed in Happily Inc! I loved seeing the artist brothers pop up in this new book. Pallas is very relatable with her struggles with her mother. And Nick has family struggles of his own to deal with. But they have some awesome friends to help them pull off some unique weddings through Pallas' business.

Happily Inc is place I would like to visit. Meeting new characters & some we already know is like visiting the home town you grew up in. Pallas is trying to keep her business going and Nick is always willing to help. They make a cute couple. Each of them is dealing with parental issues and they help each other with these as they get to know each other & fall in love. I'm happily awaiting my next visit to Happily inc.

This is the 1st book in a new series. If you love Fool's Gold you will def love Happily Inc, it's always nice to see familiar characters pop up that have a connection with loved characters from another book. I really enjoyed this book! This series is similar to the Fool Gold's series and I appreciate that. There was a lot of inner conflict for the heroine and it was all resolved around the same time, kind of suddenly, not very smoothly.

Okay so I was disappointed when I heard there would be no more Fools Gold books. However that has changed. I have a new town and characters to fall in love with. There were a couple of places where scenes ended abruptly but overall the story was great. I look forward to reading the future books in this series.

From one of my all time favorite authors comes a fresh new romance. I love how Susan Mallary incorporated the new characters with those from her previous series, Fool's Gold. The character's captivated my heart and left me anxiously anticipating Second Chance Girl.
If you have never read a book by Susan Mallery you are in for a treat. Be prepared to be hooked.

Susan Mallery never seems to disappoint me! I really enjoyed this first book in the Happily Inc. series. She did a great job of introducing the characters and describing the town without getting bogged down in details. I really love the way she adds humor into her books. Let's just say, I got a kick out of the first chapter! Ready for the second book in this series.

Love this new series! The chemistry between Nick and Pallas just jumped right out of the pages and touched my heart :) I'm a huge fan of Fools Gold so was super excited to see a connection there! :) can't wait for the second book in the series!

I really enjoyed this book! This series is similar to the Fool Gold's series and I appreciate that. There was a lot of inner conflict for the heroine and it was all resolved around the same time, kind of suddenly, not very smoothly.

Have loved reading Susan Mallery's Fools Gold books, and now feel right at home here in Happily Inc. This small town that revolves around destination weddings filled with young, creative and passionate men and women who are ready for romance. All in all enjoyed this fast read and find myself impatient for the next book in the series.

Well written and a nice transition from fool's gold! I liked all the characters and how well they were described throughout the story. As I read the characters came to life in my head. I can't wait to read the other books to follow.

Once again, Susan Mallery delivers an awesome new book and series. I love the story of Pallas and Nick. Happily Inc is going to be a wonderful new series to read about the characters and how their lives unfold. The story of You Say It First is so cute, Pallas owns Wedding in A Box and Nick is a well know artist. Who applies for a part time job as a carpenter. Seeing the story unfold is magical and the romance begins. Susan Mallery introduced several characters and I look forward to their story. I have enjoyed Susan's work I do not think you will be disappointed with You Say It FIrst. I am anxiously awaiting the next book.

Pallas has inherited a wedding planning company. Her and all her friends help bring the ceremony together. In the background is mother Libby who you just want scream at. The funny part was Nick showing up for an interview and she puts him to work as part of a ceremony. Pallas and Nick have become friends but Nick wants more. He does tell her that it is short term. It is funny that Pallas gives him the gift of her love. Nick rejects it because of the lessons he learned from his father. A speech from Tim, the father of the bride changes everything. Loved the ending.

You Say It First. I really have enjoyed the Fool’s Gold Series and this first installment of Happily Inc. gives you a look into what’s to come. Loved Pallas and Nick – an unconventional couple with parent issues that hinder them from having a “real in-depth grown up” relationship. Instead Pallas and her group of friends (and what a group!) plan and host weddings every bride dreams of – if you can dream it, they can do it – or at least try as not everything goes without a hitch (don’t believe it? Ask the zebras!). Just don’t point the “you’re next” finger at any of them because they’ll fight it until it knocks them down and takes them over…. Which is the best part. Can’t wait for Ronan to be knocked down!

Susan Mallery's new book You Say It First is a hit! The story takes place in a new town Happily Inc which is a wedding destination town. This is the first book in this new series.and while we get to read about Pallas and Nick and their love story, we also get introduced to this new town and many of the residents. The town is fun and quirky and if you have read any of Susan Mallery's other series set in Fools Gold you will enjoy visiting Happily Inc.
Pallas and Nick are a great couple so likeable and it is fun to see their story develop, also their are other interesting relationships and family drama that keeps you reading to find out what happens next.
I highly recommend You Say It First and can't wait for the next book set in Happily Inc.

I have always wanted to own a bed & breakfast where people hosted all kinds of unique events, including weddings, and to have a group of friends that complimented each other to create that perfect moment. Somehow, Susan Mallery crawled into my head (again) and brought (more of) my dreams to life in You Say it First.

I wasn’t sure how I felt about starting a new series that was, at least partly, a continuation of my favorite place on earth, Fool’s Gold. Would I like Happily Inc. as much as I do Fool’s Gold? Would the characters be as dear to me as those I’ve already grown to love? But from the minute I opened the cover and read that fabulous first line, I was hooked. (I think Susan’s opening lines are actually what I look forward to the most!)

I’ve tried to put my finger on why I like these books so much more than others, but I can’t figure it out. There is just something about the writing that captivates me and stops time. It’s exactly how I’d write my life if I could. And…I cannot wait to see how the dynamic between the Mitchell boys plays out.

I am loving the town of Happily Inc! Susan Mallery’s new series takes place in a town where love is in the air. The first book is the story of Pallas, the owner of Weddings in a Box, and Nick, an artist we first met in Fools Gold. The many ins and outs of their problems with families, as well as the problems that arise with planning a wedding kept me enthralled way past bedtime. (I want to move there and work for Pallas!) Nick is a famous sculptor visiting the town of Happily, Inc. to spend time with his artist brothers while he waits to hear if he's being hired for a 2 year gig overseas. Looking to keep busy, he answers an ad for a part time job and meets Pallas, the owner of Weddings in a Box. Pallas lives to put on theme weddings for her customers in spite of her mother's plan for her to join her at the bank. How to do what you want to do and still please your family is one of the themes in this great read.

A series of creatively themed nuptials provides a fun backdrop for the romance of wedding venue owner, Pallas Saunders, and hunky sculptor, Nick Mitchell. But both Nick and Pallas face heart wrenching family issues that threaten any chance they have at love.
I enjoyed You Say It First and can’t wait for the next book. Susan Mallery’s fans will appreciate that she brought some of her Fool’s Gold characters into this new series-as well as zebra and a giraffe.

The first in a new series from Susan Mallery and she has struck gold with this one! Again, Mallery writes a great story set in Happily Inc. I was not disappointed in a single word of this story.

Loved catching up with some of the Mitchell brothers. The citizens of Happily Inc. are going to be to be so much fun to learn more about.
Both Pallas and Nick have so much in their past to get through, just so they can meet the future with open arms. I really enjoyed reading and seeing the development of both.
Susan Mallery has another winner, another town for the readers to explore and love.

I loved the Fools Gold Series and was sad to see it end! I don't have to be sad NO more! This story takes place in Happily Inc. what a "HAPPY" place to be. I want to move there. This story has characters that we first met in Fools Gold. Nick Mitchell is one of those characters. I love him. What a fun and insightful man he is! Pallas is the perfect girl for him. Susan Mallery has now created a new favorite series that I am not able to put down and will be waiting anxiously for the next book to be released!

Oh my a new series by Susan Mallery....not sure how we got so lucky. We start in a new town with some old faces. I am so used to jumping right into a Susan Mallery story that the beginning slowed me down. The first few chapters were setting us up in the new town & I fell in love with the town...esp the animals(both 2 and 4 legged variety). I cannot wait for the next in the series!

This is my first book by Susan Mallery, but I cannot wait to read the rest of her books! You Say it First is a cute, light, enjoyable read. Nick and Pallas are great characters and I can't wait to read more about the other characters introduced in this story! It's a fast read, great for the beach, or anytime you just want to escape for a little bit!

What a great new series by Susan Mallery. It takes place in a town called Happily Inc and weddings are the priority. Pallas has just inherited a Wedding Venue business and Nick walks in for a job interview for a carpenter, when Pallas recruits him to be a Roman soldier. The fun is just beginning. A great start for this series.

If you liked the series of books set in Fool's Gold you're going to love the town of Happily Inc.! Fool's Gold was known for their festivals, Happily Inc. for their weddings. This is the first book in the series and I loved it! This is Pallas and Nick's story with a lot of characters we knew from the previous series and plenty of new ones to love - can't wait until book 2!!!

I fell in love with Fool's Gold first but Happily Inc. has partially filled the hole in my heart without it. I'm glad Nick got such a great book and love interest in Pallas. I can't wait for Mathis' book next then hopefully Ronan's. I also caught the hints of couples to come which should be interesting.

I have to admit I loved Fool's Gold series and was wondering if this would be just as good, but I have to say I am in love with Happily Inc. I absolutely love Nick and Pallas, and how they were introduced to us . I read this book in one sitting. Can't wait for more books in this series!!

You say it first is awesome. I am loving the new series happily inc. Reading about Pallas and Nick falling in love and Nick helping Pallas make weddings in a box bigger and better. This is a must read book. Can't wait for the next one.

It took a couple of chapters to get into the story. The subject matter was different but soon became believable and the story was another cant put it down. Ended up loving it and picturing the scenes.
