Harper and Stacey are Bunny's daughters. Bunny has always been hard on them. Harper is divorced with a daughter. Stacey is married and is expecting a baby but yet to tell her mom. Harper struggles to keep her home and business and is always working. Both gals show the struggles they have but how family is the most important thing in life...along with happiness!

This story was so perfect I couldn't stop reading. I loved all three story lines and they all came together seamlessly. Harper and Lucas's story was my favorite but Stacys worry over being a mom was right up there. It was refreshing to follow Becca in her young adult journey. I hope we learn more about all of their stories in up coming Susan Mallery books.

Sisters Like Us by Susan Mallery did not dissapoint. It was another excellent, outstanding and exceptional story from Susan. It's book four in her Mischief Bay series but as with all her series, you can always just pick up one book and read that. All stand alone type of books. This no exception. Very well written and possibly her best book to date.

Wow! What do I say? I love Susan Mallery and I love her Mischief Bay series. This was a great story about family dynamics. It made me laugh, tear up and just enjoy every minute I was reading it. The characters are so real. She dealt with issues and emotions that most books just gloss over. I sure hope there is another one in the works.

The story of two sisters at two extremely different places in their lives. Both are middle aged...which is a nice change from a lot of books where the characters are a whole lot younger! Great story of family, love, and starting over. You do not have to have read any of the other Mischief Bay books before reading this one, but a few characters from the other books do make an appearance.

I really enjoyed Sisters like Us. It had everything you need in a novel. Drama, laughter and love. It was real life. Once again Susan Mallery has given us characters we can relate to and like. This book is part of Mischief Bay series. You don’t need to read the previous books to enjoy and understand what is going on in this book. I would recommend this book to any of my friends.

I love how the author delves into the reasons why people react the way they do, and how they learn and grow from their experiences. This book is interesting all the way through. Never did I feel like skipping a few pages as is often the case. Every page was an important part of the whole.

Susan Mallery always makes me smile, laugh and cry. Sisters Like Us is the 4th book of the Mischief Bay series. I love the characters, the stories. I wish I knew these people. Susan Mallery has the amazing ability to create real people with problems and make you feel like they're real. I highly recommend this and all of Susan Mallerys books.

Sisters Like Us is such a beautifully told story. Susan has such an amazing talent, her characters are always so diverse and well developed I feel as if I know the personally. The family dynamics are so in touch with todays world. I was deeply touched by this story and can't wait to see where Susan will take us next in Mischief Bay.

Really enjoyed this story. Have read a lot of her books and am looking forward to the next one. Book started off a little slow but soon picked up and I didn't want to put it down. This story explored many different types of relationships so almost anyone can relate to it. Highly recommend.

Snuggle in with a cup of coffee or glass of wine and treat yourself to Sisters Like Us. The book features relatable characters-of all ages-who face their complicated relationships with humor and grace. Like most of us, they don’t everything right the first time, but that’s what makes them interesting.
I received a promotional copy in exchange for an honest review.

Like most of Susan Mallery's books, Sisters Like Us looks atthings that are happening in everyday life, but brings humor and real-ness to her stories. She makes you feel like you are not the only one having crazy things happen in your life, and makes you feel better about yourself. Sisters Like Us looks at single motherhood - making you realize how hard it is, but also how there are good things, too. I like how I feel better after I read one of Susan Mallery's books. She makes me look at myself in a different way, and smile at how crazy your life can be, just like everyone elses. This is a great book for anyone who is divorced, has a crazy mother, has children, or is just looking for a feel good, make you smile book.

An outstanding story of family Dynamics. Kept me riveted to the point that I read it in one day and had a book hangover preventing me from starting another book. I just wanted to think this story over. I recommend it highly. It had love, disappointment, growth, angst and a vision of family that was quite authentic.

This was a great book with sisters and inner happenings of a family. With every Susan Mallery book I felt like I was apart of the family when reading, felt like I was in the scenes. I also love reading about pregnancy in books. I tend to like Mallery’s Fools Gold series better but I highly recommend this book.

This was an interesting examination of different values and talents. While not a page turner it kept me interested until the end. The characters were well drawn and realistic. They were likeable even with their faults. Nice way to spend a rainy day.

Susan Mallery as made another gem with “Sisters like Us”. I love reading her novels. Each one has such realistic characters, believable, likeable and with flaws that the reader can identify with. I love the fact that she includes such strong female characters. A great read and enjoyable story.

I liked Lucas in spite of his being a jerk! Ashton is a doll baby. Kit reminded me of my husband, and unfortunately Bunny reminded me of my Mother in many ways. Terrence is worthless!! And they were all so life-like it was like reading about people who live next door. Susan does that with every book!

This is the 4th book in the Mischief Bay series. In this title Harper is still dealing with her divorce and has started a Virtual assistant job to pay her bills. She is dealing with her teenager daughter Becca who seems to not care about her anymore and after all that having to deal with an overbearing mother who believes if Harper was a better wife her husband would not have left. Stacey Harper's sister is a scientist who is trying to cure MS. Stacey has never seen herself as a family but kit broke down that wall not only did they get married but they are currently waiting for their first born to arrive. Stacey is in denial about this and throughout the book searches her scientific mind to come to terms with it. As with this series not only do we get more than one Protagonist we get alot of secondary characters. We meet up again with Lucas the cop from a million things who loves to date girls young to be his daughter, Ashton who is Kit's nephew who comes to stay with him and stacey, Dean who is a burst of personality working with Harper and of course Bunny(Harpers and Stacey mom) who is hard to like but you understand where she is coming from. A wonderful addition to the series. I was giving an arc by netgalley.

We return to Mischief Bay in this book. It's all about relationships of all kinds - between sisters, mothers and daughters, fathers and daughters, and then there are the dogs too! It shows no matter what kind of face we show the world everyone has their real life and the struggles we all go through. Thoroughly enjoyed this book! Another win from Susan Mallery!

I love how Susan Mallery relates to all generations. I love her romance books but was a bit unsure about her foray into the womens lit world. I should have never been worried. She does an amazing job of making us feel empathy for all her characters. I loved this book from start to finish!

I really have enjoyed all the books so far in the Mischief Bay Series and this was no exception! I have been able to connect with the characters in all of the books thus far; and the stories are truly believable. “Sisters Like Us” is a relaxing and enjoyable read. I really and truly hated to see it end. I could see myself spending time in Mischief Bay and befriending some of the characters in the books! I definitely recommend this entire series.

This book was different then what i expected. I love susan mallery and all her books. They keep me on the edge emotionally and not wanting to put her books down. This one I felt less of a connection with the mother (Harper) and more emotionally connected to her daughter (Becca). All Susan's books make me want to live in a small town. Thank you for another great book susan!

Sisters Harper and Stacey deal with their mom in different ways. Harper will confront her but Stacey just avoids her. In her own way their mom, Bunny, loves her daughters. You will both love and hate Lucas. I felt bad for Becca that Harper didn't spend more time and be more aware of what was going on in her life. Mallery creates a believable family that will have you turning page after page.

Susan Mallery has captivated her readers with another great addition to the Mischief Bay series! This book showed a believable and relatable family dynamic featuring two sisters from different worlds that share a bond like no other. Susan, I agree, Lucas is definitely a favorite! I strongly recommend this book. If you haven’t read the rest of the series, you really should! It’s amazing!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Sisters Like Us. The characters captured my heart from the beginning. If you have a sister you will be able to relate to the dynamics in the relationship between these two sisters. The relationships between mother and daughter is dead on as well. Grab a copy of Sisters Like Us, a box of tissues and be prepared to laugh out loud as you escape to Mischief Bay.

Another outstanding story from Susan Mallery. Managed to seamlessly weave stories of 3 very different women and their troubled relationships together. I never get tired of reading about sister relationships and Mallery brought these women to life in a realistic and appealing way.

As always she draws you in and keeps you intrigued to the end and has you asking “when will the next book be out?”

Two sisters, Harper and Stacey, who could not be any more different come together to support each other when they need it most. I honestly thought their mother was just awful and took away from the sisters stories. The story between Harper and Lucas was sweet. Looking forward to more from Fools Gold!

Susan Mallery’s Mischief Bay series continues to combine stories of different generations. She also includes topics many families now deal with; divorce, stay at home fathers, later in life pregnancy and many more. Susan also included some characters from one of the earlier books. Once again I had to keep reading to see how all the stories ended.

I liked Harper’s story to see her business and personal life grow. Her daughter matured by leaps and bounds. I found Stacey to be an odd duck with a very good husband. Well...... and Bunny was Bunny. That’s how older moms can be. All the characters grew with a better understanding of each other.

I have been waiting for this book for a long time and it was worth it! I loved the strong sister relationship and also the tumultuous mother-daughter relationships examined in this book! One of Susan Mallery’s finest! I love this series! Sisters Like Us is by far her best book. Only Mallery can come up with these characters we love then take a character we dislike and change our feelings for them by the end of the story.

I’ve read a lot of books by Susan Mallery, and am always happy to see a new one published. I like that the characters are a variety of ages, and that the main characters are not irresistably sexy 25 year olds. I couldn’t identify with any of them, though- which is likely my good fortune- so angsty! . Most of the characters grew on me throughout the novel, and everyone got their happy ending.
Starting on another Susan Mallery book now- Second Chance Girl. I keep coming back.

Motherhood isn't for everyone! Sisters can be total opposites and Mom's can be very opinionated!! As this story unfolds you'll hear about challenges one sister has raising a teenager on her own and rebuilding her life after divorce. While the other sister is having her first child at 40 because her career was most important. Motherhood was never her dream. I love the Mischief Bay Novels

A fast moving story and nicely interwoven story lines. It was hard to put down. There was enough realistic life drama to make it very interesting. The ending was, however, anticlimactic and a let down.

When I'm in the mood for a light hearted contemporary romance, I turn to one of Susan Mallery's novels. I have read many of them and I'm never disappointed. Although this is Book #4 in the Mischief Bay series, it can certainly be read as a stand-alone.

Sisters Like Us is more about family than just the sisters, Harmony and Stacey. There is an old fashioned, overbearing mother, a teenage daughter dealing with teenage problems and experiencing her first love with Ashton (very sweet), and an ex-husband who is dating a much younger woman and neglecting his daughter. And then there is Lucas. Not exactly family, but he spends so much time at Harper's house that he seems like 'family'.

Once again, Susan Mallory has created characters that come to life on the pages of her books. This time, even with the problems that unfold, there is so much humor in their conversations that you can't help but smile.

Loved it!

Don't know how to express how wonderful this story was -- I truly loved both Harper and Lucas. Lucas has been a hoot since we first met him in previous books however his kindness and caring really come out when he is with Harper.

Stacey and her husband are adorable! Not sure how else to explain it. He 'gets' his wife and is with her all the way.

Mom? Hooboy! Becca, Harper's daughter? Typical teen with all the angst. There were times I just outright roared with laughter. Other times, I'll admit to sniffling.

Great read, hands down. I will say that at almost the very end, I was...taken aback by a 'turn of events'. I read it, and then it was resolved. Not sure how to explain but it stuck with me. No spoilers so you'll have to read for yourself. The book is great, as is the series, but this is my favorite one, hands down.

I love all of Susan's books, but Sisters Like Us kept me turning the page long after I should have been in bed! Becca is such a great kid, and Harper is a great mom. The best part about this book is that I saw a little piece of myself in every character. In Harper, I see the perfectionist that never measures up; in Stacey, the fear of failure and in Becca, the uncertainty that life offers. In typical Susan Mallery fashion, you will easily fall in love with all three and root for them as they navigate the barriers that hold each back from living their best lives.

And I loved the dogs.

Another GREAT book by Susan Mallery! As a single mother who raised 2 kids, I identified best with Harper. I didn't have her talents & always wished I could do everything "Martha Stewart" quality.
