A book should be a single story. I'm in chapter 10, and so far, there is no one story. We've got a bunch of disparate stories about several different people. I'm sure there's something to tie them together later, or I hope so, but this is a frustrating read. I don't particularly care about the personal lives of these characters since they don't intersect except for the fact that they are all Human Garde. Further, they aren't doing much of any significance yet. It's pretty boring. Frustrating really, especially since I really liked the preceding books.

I've read the previous 7 books and really like the story line and the characters. I just wish there were edited versions available...where the Author doesn't take the Lord's name in vain in print...there's really no rhyme or reason for it, and it is rather disappointing!! I can't unread it!

I liked this book, but was disappointed that it didn't have all of the Loric and other characters from the first series. I really hope Five from the previous series is still alive and that Eight comes back from the dead! It was a good book and I think I will come to like the new characters as much as I like the old characters.

Generation One is a spin off series so if you are expecting all of the Loric to be in this book, you will be disappointed. That being said, three characters are present in the book but they are in the background not the leading characters.

I really enjoyed this book, and once I got through the beginning chapters, I could not stop reading! I am very excited to see what will come next and I already have a hunch who is the double agent for the Foundation! The pace is very fast for the second half of the book and it contains action! ! I wish it had a little more legacies but I am sure I wished that about all the previous books. They all make you want to read more. I am not as invested in these characters as the original Garde but hopefully more character development will take place. Also, just an observation, all these human garde have only one legacy. Hopefully, they gain more! I had one question about the chimerae but hopefully it will be answered in the upcoming books.

Overall, the book is a good read. Very similar in writing style to the original series except you can tell who is talking (they write it at the beginning of every chapter) !! It is interesting and gets you hooked! I want to keep reading more!

A decent spin off series that follows the next generation of Legacy kids. The world is adjusting after the Mogodorian invasion. Decisions need to be made about what to do with the kids and their Legacies. An academy has been started, but is it a good thing? This next generation of Legacy kids have their own challenges and battles to fight. There are a few cameos by the original kids, mostly Nine since he is an instructors. Looking forward to see where this series goes. Hopeful that it will hold my attention like the last series.
I would not recommend reading this series before reading the original books first.

If you have not read the book stop where you are and read it. That being said.....

Overall the book was very good, But John Smith should have played a bigger role than that. I did like that Nine played a bigger role than the previous series. Hopefully the chimerae come back. Thats all I`ve got bye

Great book. Probably made for younger people but I don't care, I was too interested in the story. So interested in fact I neglected to eat anything for an entire day. Although I advise against doing so, please resist the urge to read instead of doing basic chores, bathing, and eating.

"Generation One" is an amazing addition to the "I am Number Four" series! It's action-packed with characters with powers that can take over the world. It's a fantastic book with a power- you can't put it down.

Either I didn't carefully read the synopsis or it was deceptively written. As in fugitive six isn't about Six but six new characters in this reboot. Slow start but becomes a good read. Looking forward to Taylor and number 4 hooking up
