London Casey & Jaxson Kidman really outdid themselves when they put this wonderful story to paper. "Dear Everly" is one of those gut wrenching books that rarely comes along. It is a story that is not to be missed, and as many have said, keep the tissues ready. Jake writing to his lost love, keeping her alive in his heart, letting her know of their daughter Sadie as she grows, was so touching. The story gives an intimate look in the deep feelings of love, loss, and the struggles of moving on after the love of your life dies. Jake's confusion of moving on with Emily as he falls in love with her, shows how difficult it is for him accept that love and keep Sadie's mother in their hearts as well. Emily's compassion and acceptance as she falls in love with him and his daughter, makes them a beautiful couple and family. It was very heartwarming to see them get their HEA while moving on in the present, keeping the past where it belongs, but not forgetting it. I would like to thank the authors for gifting me "Dear Everly". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 5 Stars!!

I received an ARC for an honest review. Kidman and Casey together captured the emotional journey of a single father, Jake who has not come to terms with the loss of his wife, Everly. Each day is a struggle to get from one day to the next wondering if he is raising his daughter, Sadie as Everly would have if she were still alive. The anger, loss, betrayal and love he feels is captured so well, it hit so close to home as a single parent myself and have felt all those emotions. Along comes Emily. After the loss of her beloved grandmother, she starts on a journey to find her own life after taking care of her grandmother for years. Moving next door to Jake and his daughter, the start of things is not with hope. Jake is angry that this woman is living next door. While he finds her attractive, Jake is angry that he feels he is betraying his late wife’s memory. With time and patience, a lot of patience on Emily’s part these two, with the help of Sadie, find the balance. This book goes right to heart of what all single parents face! Thank You Both for this wonderful book!!

Book Hangover. Seriously this book knocked me for a loop. Between Jake and his forever, Everly his loss and his inability to move forth from the greatest love he has ever known. I still cannot form words or thoughts that are adequate to describe what I am feeling. I just feel so sorry for him, Sadie for when she realized her mommy wasn't coming back and of course the woman, Emily who was willing to put her heart on the line for this man who was beyond broken. I loved it but I just don't feel that Emily is ever going to feel completely loved by Jake, He loves her yes, which surprised him but in order for them to have a real relationship he is going to have to move on at some point from Everly and be mindful of how that affects Emily, it's one thing to say you will do anything for the man you love, but to live with a ghost that is ever present would be a tough gig. Emily deserves more, Way more, and so does Sadie.

All of Jaxson Kidman and London Casey’s books have been amazing for me, but I have never connected all the way to my very core, as much as Dear Everly. I’ll never be able to put into exact words how wonderful this book is but I can say, I know without a doubt, everyone needs to experience Jake and Emily’s story. I was glued from start to finish.
I read a lot. It is one of the escapes for me. I have never connected to a book so much in my life. It was like it was being written for me. There are personal reasons but I feel like this book will reach people on so many different levels.
I don’t want to give anything away because it’s a story everyone needs to experience for themselves. It’s full of Emotion, hurt, angst, Love, cuteness, and hot as hell sexiness. Jake, Emily and Sadie will forever be ingrained in your souls.
Cheers to another amazing 5 star must read. Get your one click on!

I hardly ever read books like this. Reading is my happy place and I always want the pretty words and the knight in shining armor. Every once in a while I let myself go there. Go to that place where it hurts but eventually it'll be ok . That place where it's actually more real life than stars and hearts and perfect rainbows. This book, this book is so beautifully heart wrenching. It cuts you open and makes you bleed over and over again. When it sews you back up, when it gives you just that hint of hope; well then heals those wounds and makes it easier to live with the scars. Jake , he was the darkness and despair, Sadie, she was the hope , but Emily, she was the very heart. Thank you for taking me on this journey. For showing me the loss and the heartache and making it OK to come out on the other side of it beautifully broken but new again.

Jake was drop dead sexy. But sometimes the way he projected himself made me want to throw my phone. I get that he was hurting and had a lot of guilt and heartache. I get it. But there were times when he purposefully said hurtful things to Em. You read as he basically thought "don't say it Jake. Don't say it. You know there's no going back from that." I think the simple fact is he just wanted someone to hurt as much as he was hurting.

Despite this, it was a good book. I like that we have glimpses of his life with Everly. I like that throughout the book, he updates her through letters. It gives us a chance to truly understand and feel what he's feeling. I love what a big squish he is with Sadie.

Most of all I like how is ended with a letter to Sadie.

Jack is left heartbroken after the death of Everly, and is left alone to be a single dad to their little daughter. He is unable to move on from this tragedy, and writes letters daily to Everly. Emily has also suffered a loss and moves into the house next door to Jake. These two seem destined to cross paths, and Jake is not always pleasant to Emily. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed!
This collaboration of authors’ is extremely gifted, and brings us some amazing stories. In my opinion, this is my favourite to date! This story is a rollercoaster of emotions, and I was hooked throughout. This is one of those stories which remain with you when you have finished, and is worth so much more than the 5 stars allowed! Awesome work!!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Emily has bought a new home to start over after her grandmother has died. She has to start a new life over after so many things in her life had her turned upside down-and her grandmother’s death closed that all for her. Time to start new Jake is raising his daughter alone & is very moody. Writes letters to Everly because she is is only love. As time goes on Jake begins to see things in Emily that he could see as another chance but thinks he’d be forgetting Everly. When Jake finally explains to her about Everly, Emily does her best to make him understand she doesn’t want to have her memory replaced for the little girl or him. There is so much emotion in this whole book. You will laugh, cry, and get mad all at the same time. It is one I’ll have to read again.

This book was beautiful. The main story is overcoming loss and knowing when it’s right. I loved Jake and at times I was able to feel his sorrow. Emily was an amazing woman who took charge of her own life and I felt she was a perfect match for Jake.

I really wanted to love everything about this book but I found my self struggling at times to get the feels of sadness. I’m not really too sure why. All the elements were there, my heart broke for Jake, but I just didn’t shed the tears that I feel the Authors were going for throughout the book. That might just be me.

I also felt that’s the ending was rushed. I would be willing to read more from this author pair. Their wiring was beautiful and they seem to write together amazingly. 3.5 Stars #2OCCJD

Tragedy, hope and love. We all wish and want that all encompassing love. Our soulmate, our ride or die, our pea to our pod. Jake was blessed to find his 3rd love. 1st was Everly, then Sadie and now Emily! I ugly cried with every letter Jake wrote to Everly. The feels were abundant! It wasn’t a typical happily ever after. this ending allowed me to draw my own HEA. With Jake and Emily walking Sadie down the Aisle with Everly’s photo in a bouquet, bringing all 3 of them together, to celebrate the one important person in all this, Sadie. This collaboration was awe inspiring and just awesome. I enjoyed this book immensely! Thank you for creating such a moving piece of life experience. This story is so relatable and is the reason why this book is so special.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I will definitely be adding this to my collection as soon as I can. This author duo always writes amazing books, always. But this one? It tops the charts in depth of emotions, in how much you feel for broken-hearted Jake and the equally sad Emily. We get to 'know' Everly through Jake's flashbacks and letters and the tears flow. Emily is almost too understanding as she encounters the rude, mean, unpredictable Jake over and over when she tries to be nice. Sometimes she spouts off. Good for her. Jake's story is tragic. Is Emily his light? Will she bring life back to this sad little family and help herself along the way? Did fate have a say? Read this captivating story that you won't be able to put down!!

I am leaving my honest review for receiving this ARC. I have cried and laughed more while reading this story.
It is so sad that Jake has lost the love of his life and has to bring up his daughter by himself. He then meets his daughters preschool teacher and next door neighbor, who latterly knocks him on his behind with instant but unwanted attraction.
Sparks fly from their first meeting, Jake slowly comes to the realization that life does go on and he falls for her, but feels so guilty that he almost ruins it, but she is more tenacious then he thinks. She’s in love with him and his daughter, and shows him that’s is ok to love again and that she would never do anything to try to replace his and his daughters memories of Everly..

A beautifully written love story. I will not forget for quite a long time. Jake is strong, fierce, unmoveable, protective, sexy, loving and loyal as a bird dog. Emily is beautiful, vulnerable and broken. Both have been devastated with loss that seemed insurmountable. Learning how to move forward is so difficult. Jake's daughter Sadie is so adorable and has the most adult reactions to everything. She is the saving grace for both Jake and Emily. We also get to know Jake's first wife Everly through Jake's letters. Jake and Emily learn more about each other and about things that try to tear them apart or make them stronger. When I finally reached the end of the story, I didn't want it to end. I wanted to see Sadie grow up.

What a heartfelt story. It’s so touching, a bit emotional and so different. This books takes you on a journey of moving on after a death of someone you love. Dear Everly teaches you that how you deal with death is your own journey; and then to find a way to move on while saying goodbye without forgetting them and forgiving yourself for it. These authors did a fantastic job with this story. It’s very different from the other books by them, but it’s so worth reading. I can’t recommend this book enough. Just to let you know, it’s not all sadness. There is a sweet romance in there as well. But definetely purchase this book. You won’t be disappointed. It was too cheesy for a big, tatooed, foul mouthed ill tempered male. Foul mouthed day care providers don't make a strong female. While the premise was good, it fell short and I couldn't force my way through it. I stopped reading. Just my own opinion as others apparently liked or loved this book based on reviews.

Amazing but ridiculously scary ride! That's how I felt when I read the words "The End". My emotions were all over the place but I felt like I couldn't quit smiling!

This book intrigued me and I couldn't quit reading. The letters to Everly absolutely broke my heart. The relationship between Emily and Jake would give me hope, until I read another letter to Everly.

In all honesty though, I thought the conclusion was going to kill me! Thank goodness it didn't! I couldn't leave this five star rating if that happened!

?An absolute must read book! ?

I think that it is fair to say, that whatever I write in this review cannot actually do this book justice.

Dear Everly is the best and most heartbreaking book by Jaxson Kidman and London Casey so far.

Again, as with all of their books, I was hooked from the first page and I experienced so many emotions as if I was each character. These ranged from a deep cut sadness, confusion, frustration, understanding, guilt and protectiveness to hope and love and new beginnings. I was choked up right from the start and ugly cried quite a few times. But it was 100% worth it.

If there is one book that you need to read this year....this is it. This is the heartwrenching, gutting, beautiful, hopeful story of Jake, Everly, Emily and Sadie.

So please, grab a copy and enjoy...?

Just don't forget a box of tissues and chocolate...lots of chocolate! ??❤️?

Can you find love again after loss and heartbreak? How do you deal with it. That's what Jake is trying to figure out. He is a single dad that lost his fiancee to an auto accident 2 years ago. He's still struggling with her death and writes letters to her. He thinks he could never find love again and then enters Emily. She is his new next door neighbor and one of his daughters teachers. They are attracted to each other but he keeps telling himself he can't move on. They face many obstacles but can he let go of the past in order to move on? Can They find love together?

I absolutely LOVED this book! I had so many highs and lows with it and it broke my heart a few times through the story!
Jake has lost his fiancé and is raising his 4yr old daughter Sadie alone. He is struggling so much with his loss and doing the best he can to make Sadie safe and Happy.
Along comes Emily who buys the house next door who has an immediate bond with Sadie.
I won't poat any spoilers... you absolutely must read this book for yourself.
Jaxson and London have truly outdone themselves with this one...The letters....oh god.. the letters Jake writes to Everly...I have no words for them.
The story is beautiful, it is tragic, it's is heart breaking but you cannot help but fall in love with the characters, including Bo! ?
1-click the hell out of this book .. you seriously won't forget it! 5 stars is SO NOT enough for this book! Go click it... go on ?

WOW! This is such a beautifully crafted story about love, loss, and healing. This book will pull your heart strings so hard you will need to have some Kleenex handy. The emotions that Jake and Emily experience in this book are so raw and gut-wrenching. I was instantly rooting for a happily ever after for both of them because they deserved it immensely. After the horrible events in their lives, they needed each other to look forward to a happy healthy future together. I loved this story and the way the authors wrote all aspects of this story was incredible. I can't wait to read more of their books.

Oh my God! This wonderfully written love story has both made me smile and cry. Out of a tragedy that left Jake a broken single father and Emily a strong woman who has survived her own personal tragedy, to find each other. This story allowed the reader to feel how pain shapes our lives and our decisions and how children can help heal and bridge new futures. All the characters were real, flawed and human. We saw how sex could both heal and pleasure. I received this arc copy and volunteered to review it. I loved it. I hope more readers get to experience this great work.

This is another excellent steamy romance by an excellent romance author! OMG, I cried, laughed, and drooled over this story on every page. You see, my 28 yr old husband died when our babies were 3 and 4. I could identify with Jake every step of the way. Unfortunately, I did not get an Emily after Everly died. I got the monster in the kitchen. lol I wish I had dealt with his death the same way that Jake did but hey, this was my escape into what may have been. I received a gifted copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review. I honestly love this story and this author!

This book broke my heart and put it back together again. The pain the hero is in is so intense you can feel it with every page you read. I love how his pain is real and raw. He cries, he yells, he loves. There is no insta love here just the story of a broken man trying his best to put the pieces back together after the love of his life dies suddenly. The heroine deserves so much credit for sticking with him no matter how much he tried to shove her away. Things got hurtful and I almost stared disliking him but the pain was just so honest how can you be mad at that? It was a heartbreakingly lovely book and I highly recommend it.

Good lord. Nothing like a punch to your heart. This book had me all choked up. The characters were real. You felt everything they felt. EVERYTHING. The letters gutted me. I cannot even put into words how beautifully crafted they were. I love that they were bookends to the story. It made it more personal.

This author collaboration is one of the best out there. You can't tell who wrote what. There is a fluidity to their work that is magical and special.

I don't think I have ever been emotionally heartbroken by a book as I was with this one. Jake just tore me apart with what life threw at him and how he dealt with it. His daughter Sadie was my favorite. She knew how to make me laugh when my heart broke. I loved this story and it took me a while to read it because I knew it was a tear jerker. Jaxson and London have done it again. This will probably be one of my favorite books. It's an emotional ride but one I was happy to take!

All the feels and then some... This book will wreck you .. It will legit break your heart ... You will ugly cry, you will hurt right along with the characters... Then you will heal with them. You will celebrate with them... You will realize that sometimes people have two loves of their lives. Its not impossible to have that deep soul connection with more than one person. Life is hard , death sucks, but it's part of life... A must read .... This is one of those books you never want to end....

This book was so amazing, true deep forever kind of love is rare but to find it twice amazing. This is a strong man and an even stronger woman. How do you compete with a perfect ghost, with humor and love and maybe a little glitter. This story shows a tough guy with a heart of gold willing to have tea parties, read book and still be a strong protector. An amazing little girl, and a fish named Emily. This is a great book but grab some Kleenex you'll need them

I had problems with reading this book . The writing was not an issue ...it was excellent . As a reader , I have a low tolerance for angst ridden story lines . This did not let up . Jake in his grief was the epitome of a tortured soul . Emily was too,too foolishly accepting. One question , what does a two year old know about life lessons gleaned from a tragically dead mother ?
The fact that Jake acted out physically and emotionally like a toddler was hard to fathom.

Got this book today and stopped everything I was doing and started reading. This book was EVERYTHING!!
It was so beautifully written. I felt the heartbreak, the pain and the healing of every character.
The HEA was totally different than what I am used to but it worked wonderfully.

I am already a huge fan however this story just reminded me why I became addicted to their work in the first place.

AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ!!!!!!!!

Speechless.........

I figured I’d wait till release day to read this book even though I got an ARC last week. And my reasoning was so it was fresh in my mind when I reviewed it. Now I have all these thoughts and I’m not sure I’ll be able to get them out.

Okay Jake... gawd you can literally feel his pain. His lose, his tears, his love and his guilt.

Emily..... you want to give her a shake and tell her it might not be worth all the pain. Most would walk away. Her character is so incredibly strong, to have to realize that the person you fell in love with won’t ever stop loving another. Your heart breaks for her. But you also are cheering her on hoping that she is strong enough to take a chance.

Sadie.... so sweet and strong. She doesn’t realize that her and her along kept Jake from spiraling out of control. And she is the one that brought Emily and Jake together. Amazing little girl.

I’m an avid reader. I read a lot of books some stick with you and others you forget. But this book is the type of book that will stick with you for a long time. It gets you right in the heart and it won’t let go.

Hands down best book I’ve read this year.

Jake, Everly and Sadie. A beautiful family with a two year old... and those of your parents out here know how hard this is... the Boom. She is gone and your world is upside down. What to do, how to cope...
Emily just lost her grandma and decides to purchase a home... next to Jake. What she doesn't know is how two tragedies can change your life for the better.
A beautiful love story that is so close to my parents... Thank you.

Amazing love story ! Emily and Jake’s story tore at my heart. Their lives were filled with loss of loved ones and the pain they carried in their hearts. Coming together finding love and trying to put their past aside so they can build a new beginning. It completely captivated me and made me cry for them and the heartbreaking moments in their lives. A book that will capture your heart . Definitely a book that everyone should read

I received an ARC for an honest review. The story of Jake and Everly and of Jake and Emily had me in tears , angry , happy and sad. This story took you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. You grieved with Jake as he shared his feelings with Everly in each letter he wrote her. I was rooting for him and Emily to make it through because Jake had such a good heart and so did his daughter Sadie. Jaxson put his whole heart and soul into writing this. It surpassed 5 years later as my favorite.

Writing was good....it flowed.(I’ve seen bad writing)
Wasn’t overly narrative(that drives me nuts)
BUT IMO.....the story it’s self could have been better. Portraying heartache made the male lead an absolute dick- the entire book.
Through out the book it was said how strong the lead female was for dealing with is dickishness.......there’s a very fine like between strong & doormat.....I feel the story crossed that line a few times so I felt she was weak.
I agree with another reviewer, ending was not my favorite.
