In my experience, any of the novels by the Preston/Child duo are incredibly good. Some books are better than others, of course, but that's a matter of personal taste. I'll definitely be re-reading the books by this team of writers.

Preston and Child are true to form with this one. Couldn't put it down and hope there is a sequel. It is wide open at the end for that. I never tire of their imaginations, and this is just the type of novel I prefer - a little "supernatural" and far out there.

After reading the Pendergast novels, I went back and purchased some of the other books by these authors. Cannot miss with these guys! I purchased the Kindle version with one click. Nothing is easier. I was reading withing 5 minutes!! Thanks!
Reliquary (Pendergast, Book 2) :: Blasphemy: A Novel (Wyman Ford Series Book 2) :: Dance of Death :: Shadows of the Stone Benders (The Anlon Cully Chronicles) (Volume 1) :: The Kraken Project: Wyman Ford, Book 4

Preston and Child have a knack for keeping things interesting. Sometimes the tag time writing style is more noticeable but they almost always entertain. This is another instance where they do a pretty good job.

this is a great novel which involves what men will do; the good, the evil, the idea that limitless fortune combined with engineering genius can accomplish the seemingly impossible. however the venture proves a failure beyond imagination. the book has all the elements making up a great read.

Gripping from beginning to end. I could not put this book down and would tell myself "Just one more chapter today", to no avail, until sleep could be kept away no more and I would awaken the following morning iPad still clutched in hand.

Once again Preston and Child succeed as a writing team in a captivating novel with a great mixture of interesting characters, real-world locations, existing science and just enough science fiction to seem plausible. I'd love to read another Eli Glinn story.

SO disappointing. This is a great book until the characters veer off into weird decisions and generally bizarre behavior. A lot of things seem unlikely at the beginning but then resolve nicely and credibly (e.g. the reason for the mass of the meteorite). The action paces extremely well until, suddenly, it just becomes cliched and tedious. By the end, a possibly great book is ruined as the authors descend into plot elements that come down to "brown people do irrational things because, you know, that's just how brown people act." Oh, and "we have to throw in 'interstellar spacecraft' because all of the really cool things we've done with real science just aren't good enough." And *after* the book ends, we are treated to a bunch of "news reports" that just muck up the story even worse.
These guys are extremely talented but their art doesn't cover for some *terrible* plot decisions.

I really enjoyed the Ice Limit. It was suspenseful and well told story. Motivation of one character is somewhat murky but it didn't detract from the story. First book I've read from Child and Preston and if the others are nearly as good I'll be reading them.

It is the usual Preston/Child thriller...a cast of different characters in strange surroundings with mysterious happenings...fast paced, but wears thin sometimes at the end...not really a satisfactory ending...bad guys die...good guys die...but, the conclusion about the "meteorite" does need to be deep sixed.

Love Preston and Child. What else is there to say! I'm a Medical Technologist so the science part pulls me into the story. Story line moves fast so you have to keep up. Still thinking about if I like the way they end the story.

Preston and Child have yet again written a novel which will keep you glued to your seat for hours. A mixture of science, adventure, drama and intrigue combine to make "The Ice Limit" a fabulous read. Each character is carefully developed and any reader will find them not only likeable, but also quite believable. I'm a great fan of the way women are depicted in their novels as a whole, and this one in particular. The women are strong, intelligent and not sidelined to unimportant roles. As always, the authors have chosen interesting locales and described them so well that you feel like you're actually there.
If you have never read a Preston Child novel, this would be a great one to start with. Then go back and read their others ("Relic" is the absolute best). You won't be disappointed.
