Tired of thinking and feeling old? Get a grip and buy this book. You don't have to be 60 and be the new 40, instead YOU ARE THE NEW 60!!! I love this lady's thinking. I want to be happy with where I am and create the new future for us all. Stop trying to be who you aren't or who you were, instead embrace today!!! Buy it. Read it. Ginger/Chicago

Really progressive discussion of how we view the process of getting older and brings common sense ideas as to how to approach these next chapters in a way that benefits everyone not just those of us already In "Extended Middle Age"! Our numbers are growing and society needs to grow with us! Ms, Jenkins is a gift to AARP and a gift to those of us who follow all the good work AARP does!

Disrupt Aging is full of information that you know and information that you don't know. Makes you feel so much better knowing there is a life after 50! I bought one for my sister and she gleaned quite a bit of information that she didn't know! She loved it!

The author disavows the standard notions and tropes about aging. In its place, she proposes a new model for the 21st century that requires action NOW from ourselves, the medical community, Congress, the insurers, etc.
Not only does the author assert rightly that we have to take care of our own health and well-being, but the community as a whole must recognize the aging of the country and plan accordingly. Making use of multiple sources. Ms. Jenkins sets out a plan to do so. It is bracingly clear, well written and something policymakers, community designers and everyone over 45 should read.
