Not what I was expecting, but a great surprise nonetheless! Bree’s and Ana’s sisterly bond definitely made me smile and the fighting scenes with Cade were freakin awesome... the suspense is killing me. Can’t wait for the next one!!!

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the day characters of Ana and Bree. I was amazed at their inventiveness to survive. I also enjoyed the Order of Protectedness. I love the idea of such an organization to protect the hunted and vulnerable.

Hold on tight because this story doesn't stop. The action keeps you going. The characters are fun and the story continues on but doesn't leave you on a cliff. It's pretty clean and the language is minimal which was a pleasant surprise.

What to say about this book. The writing was that of an amateur with horrible inner and spoken dialogue. The mantra "show not tell" was NOT used here. The protagonist and the potential love interest relationship was unbelievable. There was no logical reason Cade would be attracted to Bree. The author seemed to force the two together giving no reasons for the attraction. Bree's inner dialogue was childish, trite and repetitive. The other characters magically trusted and liked the sisters without them proving themselves. All of a sudden they were willing to fight and die for her and her sister. There was no depth to the characters nor the plot. This premise had great potential but was not executed well. I would think after the number of books this author has written that there would be more improvement. A good editor was needed here.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and was excited by how many more are in the series and in her collection. I love having New book friends to help me shelter myself from the daily burdens of the world. I will be reading Lindsey hall for a month at least.

Linsey Hall writes so amazingly well. Read EVERYTHING she has written. This story is so good that I woke up on my Kindle reader. I could not put this book down until I finished it. Can not wait until the next book .

Very awesome book and love that she decided to make a whole series on the desert sisters. Lots of action and adventure. Hope there's some more romance in the next book. Great read and can't wait for the next book.

I really liked this book. I was engrossed from page one. I love good strong female characters who are funny. I will definitely be reading more from Linsey Hall. Fast paced, action packed from start to finish.

Really enjoyed the characters and storyline. Hoping the fact that it's called "The Valkyrie Book 1" isn't a giant spoiler about her Unknown status. Not my favorite this year but definitely worth the read.

Really liked all the characters and found nothing wrong .I liked the way the story began and the plot spread out nicely with no dead spots.
Instead the story was always action filled and a real thrill to read and ended to quickly. I am really anxious for book 2 to come out! Loved it!

I like modern, urban fantasy. So when I started reading this and it felt more dystopian-ish I almost stopped. Life is too short. However, it was good enough to hook me. I grew to appreciate that it was something a little different. :)

Wow Linsey you have done it again.Another magical mystery full of action but with the depth of human emotions that are your trademark. Looking forward with rapt attention and barely suppressed desire to the next.
