Makes you want to keep on reading. It shows this team will stop at nothing to protect their team members, wives or children. A very bad enemy meets her fate with this group. Alarm in all, it was a great read.

This story like the first in this series has multiple characters each with a story to tell. The enhancements the individuals have keep you quessing as to what they are truly capable of. Truly enjoyed this book.

This used to be my favorite series but I get the feeling that the writing has taken a back seat to profits and fast turn around times. Honestly the series went from being amazing, where I couldn't put a book down and over the last few has just got progressively worse. I couldn't even finish this one.

Love Christine Feehan's books and her action series. Finally she is back to writing plenty of action with romance and not just pages and pages of sex scenes. Missed not having any of the Fontent brothers in this book and there absence was noticeable throughout. Loved the H/h both were given plenty of personal fighting scenes showing there personal strengths. Only gave it a 4 because none of the Fontenot brothers made an appearance in this novel although they all part of Wyatt's GhostWalker crew.

My feelings on Christine Feehan's books are mixed. I love the story lines in them but the ridiculous level of hyper-machoism can get annoying. I like a strong male character but not one that treats a woman as if she's an infant. And I really didn't like her need to always have the women marked up with hickies all over them. Tacky and juvenile.. She does have some that put the male and female on a more equal footing. In my opinion those tend to be some of her best books. Power Game would be one of them. The female is strong. The male doesn't come across as an obsessive jail keeper. I wonder how this book would read for someone who hasn't read all the books before it? I think it would be difficult figuring out what is going on. So if you haven't read the others I recommend that you read them first. For those already reading the series I think this one was great. Feehan has a wonderful imagination.

Have read every book. This one doesn't disappoint. Feehan's Ghostwalkers are scientifically enhanced men & women soldiers that started out with a renowned scientist who turns out to be twisted. The enhanced soldiers & his daughter realize this, he goes under ground and 13 books later we have one of the best series I've ever read. It would take pages to do justice to this series. All but one book has gotten 5 stars & the one that only got 4 was just me finding the male hero too harsh. It's romance, war, paranormal, fantasy, thriller and murder mystery all rolled into one. Well written. The only gripe is I wish there was more than one a year. Start at the beginning. It spans over 4 teams, lots of characters from the mountains, San Francisco bay, Louisiana bayou, D.C. to international. Can't say enough. Would recommend to all.

I was almost to the point of not reading her books anymore. She was my favorite author for years, but the last couple of Ghostwalker and Dark Series books were really just one long drawn out sex scene. But I really wanted to read Ezekiel' story. So I took a chance, and I'm so glad I did!!! Now THIS is a Christine Feehan story!! Written the way she did before she allowed sex to be chapters long!!! This book was extremely well written, full of love, humor, sadness, heartbreak, joy, and NONNY!!!! I really loved Bellisia and Ezekiel together. I loved her loyalty to

Thank you so much to Mrs Feehan, for going back to story telling the way you used to. This is my favorite story sense Gator and Flame. It's almost like someone else wrote the last couple of Gost Walker novels. They were very disappointing. I really enjoyed catching up with Nonny and several of the other family members. I hope there will be many more like this. With Nonny and the family. (Please don't ever write in Nonnys death. It would ruin the storys, and I don't think I could read it.) My only real complaint is, not saying what Bellas DNA is until more than 1/2 threw the book. I kept feeling like everyone knew but me. Like I'd missed some pages. She made more sense once I knew. I liked the way there is more story hear. Not just a meet, action, love, end of story. An finely.....I CAN'T WAIT Till THE NEXT BOOK IN THE SERIES.

I enjoyed reading this book. The past 2 books in the series the hero was very dark and didn't have much compassion and honestly I was ready to give up on the series. The hero in this book was very compassionate, understanding and patient. There was great depth to both the hero and heroine. It's always a pleasure reading about Nonny and catching snippets from the lives of previous characters. There doesn't appear to be a end in sight for this series because we are introduced to so many new characters. It would be nice to have end to Whitney or some more information about him and his psychic gifts the series is dragging on and I feel no excitement for the next installment.

I am ready for this particular mystery to be over. Yes, I would like for ALL the men to find their happy ever after's... But finding the women, killing Whitney and the White House crew, and shutting the program down for good... It could all be done in one book. I am done with a dribble here, a dribble there. When 3\4 of the book is sex, and the rest a dribble of plot, that right there, Ms Feehan, is a rip off... And I am done paying money for sexual fluff.

Like many readers I started with this authors Dark Carpathian books but quickly discovered her more suspense based GhostWalkers . It's been an eventful journey with characters that if honest at times I've struggled with. This author seems to have a preponderance of very demanding males as her lead characters and unfortunately that often means very long, drawn out and intense intimate scenes. I'm all for a little love but do realise that it's the story and plot that really needs to grip the reader . So I'm over the moon to reassure anyone considering reading this book that not only is there a huge turning point in the overall story arc but our two main characters are full of surprises .
So surprise number one is Ezekiel , doctor, brother, bad tempered and yet strong without being overpowering . Such a delight to see him being the one in charge whilst at the same time realising that this man has such a gentle side . He knows what he wants but has the patience to coax and wait, plus seeing him interact with other characters really makes him more than one dimensional.
Our leading lady is Bellisia, a character with an ability we've previously seen but this time the source is a revelation . If frank I wasn't sure initially about the abilities the author has imbued her more recent female characters with but it works beautifully here to give Bellisia DNA that was truly a huge surprise and fascinating to boot! She is so likeable , practical and yet giving . Although don't think Bellisia isn't deadly because she might be small but she's one mighty tough cookie!
Set in the swamps we are yet again safely in the home of the Fontenot family and the irascible Nonny is very much front and centre adding a warmth to the book. I love the way she's taken her grandsons friends into her heart and home and her presence somehow grounds the story. Admittedly it's not as playful as Night Game featuring the naughty Gator Fontenot but this story is possibly one of my favourites in this series. This had a lovely sweet romance whilst at the same time gave this reader an action packed ride that I can't recommend enough . The GhostWalkers are back and it's simply fabulous!
A copy of this was provided for me which I have voluntarily read and these comments are my own honest opinion

4.25 stars-POWER GAME is the thirteenth installment in Christine Feehan’s contemporary, adult GHOSTWALKERS paranormal, romance series focusing on an elite group of ‘genetically enhanced’ men and women known as the Ghostwalkers. These ‘supersoldiers’ were part of an unauthorized government experiment performed by Dr. Peter Whitney-a man tantamount to evil incarnate. This is Ghostwalker Dr/Captain Ezekiel Fortunes, and Bellisia Adams’s story line. POWER GAME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty although I recommend reading the series in order (especially the previous 2-3 installments) for cohesion and back story.

Told from several third person perspectives including Ezekiel and Bellisia POWER GAME returns to the Louisiana Bayou, and focuses on the take down of Senator Violet Smythe. Violet is a female Ghostwalker but a woman driven to become the most powerful person in the USA at the expense of her fellow female Ghostwalkers. Dr. Peter Whitney will send Bellisia Adams, a female Ghostwalker with ‘unusual DNA’ to ferret out Violet’s plans with the intent that our heroine returns to Whitney’s compound to reveal all of Violet’s secrets including her plans to destroy Ghostwalker Team 4 and anyone with insect or reptilian DNA. Enter Ezekiel Fortunes, a Ghostwalker targeted by Violet Smythe, and the man who has been genetically matched to our story line heroine. What ensues is the struggle to keep one step ahead of both Whitney and Smythe, and the building relationship between Ezekiel and Bellisia.

The relationship between Ezekiel and Bellisia is a dramatic change from several of Feehan’s previous story line couples including the relationship between Trap and Cayenne (Spider Game #12)-a relationship that bordered on abusive and controlling. Our current hero Ezekiel Fortunes, although alpha and protective, is also a man who does not use power or abuse to control or protect the woman he claims to love. The building love and partnership is an equal and balanced relationship in that our heroine is just as capable of making her own choices and decisions as the man with whom she is falling in love. The one hundred and eighty degree turn in the author’s writing style is a welcome relief. The $ex scenes are limited although seductive and intense.

In Power Game, the author tries to justify Trap’s abusive behavior towards his mate in Spider Game (Ghostwalker 12) by backtracking and proclaiming Trap suffers with Asperger’s syndrome-a neurobiological disorder on the higher end of the autism spectrum thus rendering him with issues of social and communication skills. The ‘Asperger’s’ story line is new and never once mentioned in the previous installment thusly I suspect the author is trying to justify her hero’s behavior to appease the many negative comments about the abusive and controlling character.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters. We are reintroduced to several members of the Ghostwalker Team 4: Gino ‘Phantom’ Mazza and Draden ‘Sandman’ Freeman, psychic surgeon Joe Spagnola whose own potential DNA match is revealed, newcomer Rubin Campo, as well as Ezekiel’s brothers Malichai and Mordichai Fortunes; the female Ghostwalkers Cayenne, Pepper and her Ghostwalker husband Wyatt, and their triplets Ginger, Thym and Cannelle; and we cannot forget about Grace ‘Nonny’ Fontenot-sadly Gator is no where to be seen. We are introduced to Bellisia’s friend, a war veteran named Donny, and her ‘handlers’ Adam and Gerald whose own Ghostwalker DNA may be a cause for concern. The requisite evil comes with many names and faces including Violet Smythe and a Chinese businessman named Cheng angling for the Ghostwalker technology. If only by way of mention there are a number of female Ghostwalkers waiting for rescue: Zara, Shylah, Scarlett, Blue, Cat and Amaryllis-I am suspecting these ladies will be matched with several members of Team 4.

Unlike some of the other installments in the series, there is a large amount of military jargon and technical information as it pertains to a rescue mission in Indonesia, and Ezekiel’s Navy SEALs although it does not interfere with the understanding or enjoyment of the story line.

POWER GAME is a story of action, suspense, betrayal and revenge. The slow building romance is almost secondary to the overall plot but the relationship is dramatic and captivating none-the-less. The premise is engaging and entertaining; the characters are colorful, animated and inspiring; the romance is passionate and sensual. POWER GAME is a thrilling and powerful return to the original Christine Feehan brand of paranormal romance.

Stories in the swamp compound of the new Ghostwalkers continue as Ezekial "Zeke" Fortunes finds his mate. He is the ultimate protector--always has been for his younger brothers, and now he is for Nonny, Pepper, the triplets, Cayenne, and his team mates. He has wanted more for is own life and felt a void, but never through he would find someone or really deserved it. He has his secrets and is known as a strong soldier, hunter, and protector...and very few see his vulnerable side or know the power that he is truly capable of.

One sniff and sight was all it took for Zeke to be enthralled with Bellisia Adams. He did not know that she was destined to save him in more ways than one. She's also engineered with special capabilities, but has lived a very different life. Her abilities were kind of awesome and fascinating. She was likable and in some ways vulnerable, but she can also just as dangerous as the other other women.

Can they learn to trust each other enough to explore their attraction? It's a dangerous game.

Their swamp fortress is coming into more and more danger with some new players eager for information and the power and money it brings. It's not just Whitney that is a threat anymore.

I love the characters and how they have formed this tight family unit at the compound. I adore Nonny and the triplets and like the team. But the last few books with the new Ghostwalker team in some ways feel a bit repetitive (maybe because so much is centered around swamp now and the women are different yet have some common history) and within the story itself it seems like back stories or details get repeated pretty often. It helps us not forget, but sometimes it makes the story drag a bit.

I do like the differences in the characters, their abilities, and especially the DNA mixes. I still find myself addicted to these Ghostwalkers and their mates. I found both Zeke and Bellisia likeable and I was more connected with them than the couple in the last book. This one has plenty of action, surprises, and steamy scenes. But it also has that sense of camaraderie, family, and humor as well. Their group is growing and it takes more team work to keep them all safe. It's a love story mixed in with action, suspense, and betrayal. There are some definite power moves and plot changes in this one. There are plenty more Ghostwalkers with stories to tell. I am looking forward especially to Joe, Mordichai, and Malichai.

Bellisia is a prisoner to Whitney’s powerfully enhanced team. When the opportunity arises for her to escape, she takes it. Overhearing Violet’s plot against the Fontenot girls and the Louisiana family, Bellisia heads to Louisiana. She hangs out in the swamp to observe and protect, eventually getting entranced by the clan that surrounds Nonny. Bellisia goes so far as to protect them from an attack that brings her presence known Ezekiel and his team.

Ezekiel recognizes Bellisia for what she is…his perfect match.

The girls instantly understand Bellisia and her trouble trying to connect to the world outside Whitney's prison's walls.

Power Game has reinforced the community bonds and what has made me love this series.

I have to admit I was concerned with the past few alpha males and their over-the-top “asshatness”. (Yes, that is my made up word, but it is fitting). Ezekiel is tough but he puts everything into keeping Bella safe, comfortable and a partner while balancing his alpha tendencies.

Strong and Sexy, this is what I love about the genius storytelling that is Christine Feehan. Her ability to make enigmatic and compelling paranormal characters jump off the pages and into your heart, like they were your friends or neighbors who live next door, which in turn brings Power Game to life. Bottomline, Feehan is a master at weaving a tales that entraps the reader into the fictitious imaginings.

I received this ARC copy of Power Game from Berkley Publishing Group in exchange for a honest and voluntary review.

Viper Bellisia is finally able to get out of the evil Dr. Whitney’s clutches and she will do anything to stay out. Acting on recently acquired information she heads to Louisiana to warn the Ghost Walkers trouble is coming. She never imagined what she would find when she arrived.

Ghost Walker Captain Ezekiel Fortunes raised his brothers and will do anything to protect them and the rest of his Ghost Walker family. He’s drawn to the newest stranger in town. She calls to him like no other. Danger is close on her heels and now that he’s decided to keep the little spitfire he will go to extremes to protect what is his.

Bellisia and Ezekiel are in for the fight of their lives. Will love be the glue that holds them together or will it get them killed?

Power Game is a force to be reckoned with. It’s been a while since I dipped my toes into the Ghost Walker pool but damn I’m glad to be back.

Ezekiel and Bellisia are two very strong characters. I like that they are equals. Bellisia is no damsel in distress. She’s perfectly capable of protecting what’s hers including Ezekiel. These two are so spunky and their banter witty. The characters are all wildly different and highly entertaining. The triplets are freaking adorable and their interactions with Bellisia and Ezekiel were funny and at times tender.

The Ghost Walker world keeps growing and Ms. Feehan keeps devising new and exciting ways to keep the reader immersed in the pages. Power Game is a great suspenseful paranormal read featuring one hell of a scorching couple.

In the category of paranormal romance novelists, Christine Feehan is a ocnsistent winner. And her GhostWalker Novels prove her top story-telling ability.

In this story she returns to the bayous of Louisiana and the home of Grace "Nonny" Fontenot, and her grandchildren, both by blood and by GhostWalker affinity. This story follows the unmated Ezekiel Fortunes and his future mate Bellisia Adams. Both have been enhanced physically, psychically and in other ways by Dr. Peter Whitney,, the ultimate villain in all of these novels. And paired their abilities to ensure that they would find each other, marry and have special children whom Whitney intended to steal and raise himself for an army of super soldiers.

But the GhostWalkers keep themselves hidden from the nefarious doctor, and protect their offspring from the time they are conceived and beyond. But they are soldiers in the armed forces of the united states and are sent out, as teams, to carry out missions in defense of our country. In fact, Ezekiel's teammates are out on a mission when he, remaining behind to protect the Fontenot compound first encounter Bellisia Adams who can blend into her environment like a chameleon.

What happens when Ezekiel and Bellisia meet, and the ensuing issues facing GhostWalker Team 4 which includes Ezekiel and his brothers, defines the setting in which Bellisia and he are brought together and fall in love. If you have never read a GhostWalker novel, this will sell you on the whole series, and lead you to acquire the whole series, the stories are that good.

Once more I was completely mesmerized by this latest book in Christine Feehan’s Ghostwalker series. POWER GAME is the 13th book in this series and every bit as memorable as the very first book I read. For those not familiar with the series the Ghostwalkers are members of an elite classified government experiment. The Ghostwalker experiment is run by a medical genetic genius, Dr. Peter Whitney whose methods leave much to be desired as he enhances the psychic abilities of an elite squadron, transforming their natural telekinetic powers into unique military weapons.

In this tome, Ms Feehan focused on Captain Ezekiel Fortunes who is called on to save some hostages that have been taken prisoner by radical terrorists. Not a difficult rescue like the many they had participated in before. The difference is that this rescue is a trap - a set-up for capture or to be killed.

Another of Dr. Peter Whitney’s super soldiers was Bellisia, who had been out on assignment and learned that one of the Ghostwalker teams (later discovering it was Ezekiel’s team) was being set up she managed to escape her handlers and made her way to New Orleans and the Louisiana Bayou to first find out if they were loyal to Whitney; and if not, she would warn them of the plot against them. What surprised both Ezekiel and Bellisia was the physical attraction that was undeniable and something they would have to deal with as many of the other Ghostwalkers had been genetically matched to one another.

As a matter of course, there are plenty of adventuresome scenes of fighting and eluding people who were out to harm the Ghostwalkers and the women and babies that were hidden in the bayou. Naturally, the triplets of Wyatt and Pepper were described beautifully leaving the reader wanting to scoop them up in your arms and hug them tight - absolutely adorable. The sensualness of Ezekiel and Bellisima was hot and steamy. And most of all the pace was quite swift in that I couldn’t put this book down and read it in one sitting! AWESOME - AWESOME - AWESOME!!!

Power Game

I had to edit my original review. I was determined not to read anymore of this Game series by Christine Feehan. But the book was available while I was traveling and I decided to just try it. Surprisingly liked it. This was one of the better Game books (since the original 3-4). I actually hated some of the Game series books, and that is a strong word. Ezekiel was all the alpha male we read these books for these books for without being an unforgiveable ass. He showed his love, yet retained all his manliness, stood up to his fellow brothers in arms in defense of Bellisia. Showed a deep understanding oh how she must feel and how he was genuinely sorry for someof th things that happened. Not I am the bad ass male, deal with it. Yet, he was n no way emasculated. Bellisia, had some wishy washy moments but was definitely won of the better heroines and one of my favorites of this series. Strong (without being a b""""") vulnerable still, yet she retained her sense of self, embrassed her skills and badassness, yet remained feminine. Some of the previous male leads were as bad as the bad guys, (pigheaded in a bad way, sex scenes rape like) taking choice away from abused women in every bad way, just like the bad guys. And some of the previous women turned stupid once they met the Ghostwalker male that was theirs. Didn't happen in this book. Lots of action & actual romance. Great character interaction. Closed some chapters in the series that were long overdue to be closed out Some unbelievable moments but hey, its fiction, but worked within the series. . Not perfect, but pretty good. I would recommend. When I could not recommend the 3 books before this. if this continues I may get back to the actually being a fan of the series. hope this wasn't a one off.

I have to make a confession: I'm reading the GhostWalkers out of order. I do not read books out of order but I saw a sample at the end of Shadow Reaper (her Shadow series - go read it too) and was completely sucked into the story and couldn't help but skip ahead to Power Game.

The book puts us right into the action with Bellisia. She's on a job and with that we see the type of person she is, her skills, the life she's trying to escape and what she'll do to accomplish that.

As I had skipped a few books there was a bit of a learning curve, getting to know Zeke's team, but things made sense even without that background. Zeke is the typical Feehan alpha male, a little over the top but everything he does is to protect those he cares about. Bellisia is one of Feehan's stronger female leads and one of my favorites. She's been trained and used as an asset, and she's good at her job, we see that right off the bat. She's strong, courageous and more than once she saves the day.

I like how the story moved forward, Violet pops up in this one, but the Ghostwalker's eternal foe is still out there, leaving me, as always, anxious for the next installment.

Thirteenth in the GhostWalker romantic military science fiction series revolving around a top-secret, elite group of women and soldiers who have been re-engineered genetically and psychically. The couple focus is on Bellisia Adams and Ezekiel Fortunes.

My Take
With a theme of loyalty, love, and support even as betrayal surrounds them all, Power Game makes good use of third-person omniscient to let us in on everyone's thoughts and fears, although Feehan didn't convince me with Bella's fears. Not to the extent that Bella went to anyway. Nor did it make any sense for her to wait to rescue Zeke. Surely she must have known there'd be more unfriendlies to tackle at the destination???

The overall conflict is the threat Whitney poses to the triplets and these GhostWalkers who escaped him. Lesser conflicts include the unknown threat of Cheng, the dangers to the newly escaped Bella, and Violet's hatred.

There's plenty of action as the boys protect their compound, rescue the hostages, and chase down the bad guys. The sex is fairly minimal, surprisingly, with more concentration on Bella's need for hydration. I'm surprised he's not building around a central courtyard so she can enjoy being naked in the rain.

How can you not adore Zeke? Sure he's lethal as a soldier, a protector, but he's so gentle and loving with the triplets as he sings to them, tells them stories, and teaches them about the bayou. A man, who as a boy, protected his younger brothers when they lived on the streets.

I think I missed it, why Zeke doesn't want anyone to know why he's so good as a shield? What can possibly be so awful about being protective?

A huge improvement over Viper Game , 11. I'll have to go back and catch up with Spider Game . Fingers crossed.

The Story
An angry young GhostWalker, Bellisia was sent to insert herself into a Chinese company and learn if treason is afoot. Now she must determine if the targets are worth saving.

It's Ezekiel who arouses her interest, feelings she'd never thought to experience. But her presence becomes questionable in itself when the team discovers she's been spying on Captain Ezekiel Fortunes and his team as they train for the top-secret mission rescuing hostages taken by radical terrorists in Indonesia.

And how can Bella forgive Ezekiel's betrayal…

The Characters
Bellisia "Bella Adams" was genetically cross-engineered with blue octopus and can hide, chameleon-like, anywhere. She also comes equipped with a deadly poison and setae that allow her to climb anything. Bella's "sisters" include Zara, Scarlet, Blue, Cat, Amaryllis, and Peony "Shylah".

Doctor Captain Ezekiel Fortunes, a medic whose abilities include hunting and tracking, and his PJ (Pararescue Jumpers, Air Force Special Forces) team, GhostWalker Team Four, live with Nonny in the bayou.

GhostWalker Team Four includes…
…Zeke's brothers, Master Sergeant Mordichai and Malachai Fortunes; Doctor Lieutenant Draden "Sandman" Freeman, gorgeous and a former model who is also the best anesthesiologist; and, Master Sergeant Gino "Phantom" Mazza.

Doctor Colonel Joe Spagnola, a psychic healer and surgeon, is the squadron leader for the GhostWalker PJs, who's been holding out on his men; Diego Rubin; and, Diego's brother, Chief Master Sergeant Rubin Campo another psychic healer with a love of birds are more of the men who live at the compound. Trap Dawkins (he's a billionaire with Asperger's syndrome) married Cayenne (she carries spider genes) in Spider Game , 12.

Major General Tennessee Milton heads up the GhostWalkers. Dahlia LeBlanc, a former mental patient, and Nicolas Trevane from Mind Game , 2, get a mention.

The Fontenot compound is…
…based in the bayous of Louisiana and is ruled over by the eighty-two-year-old Grace "Nonny" Fontenot, a traiteur with second-sight and a loving matriarch who raised her grandsons. It's so cool that her reputation as a healer with plants is so great that she consults with pharmacies and doctors. Dr. Wyatt Fontenot married Pepper (her abilities are as a psychic assassin with a biological need for sex) after rescuing her and their three venom-carrying babies: Ginger, Cannelle, and Thym ( Viper Game , 11). Raoul "Gator" Fontenot, a GhostWalker Army Ranger, married Iris "Flame" Johnson in Night Game , 3.

Donny is retired military, wealthy with his own island that he protects with a fierce passion and his hidden heart of gold. Bernard (has a band) and Papite Vallier are friends of Nonny's.

John Stennis Space Center is…
…a navy compound in Mississippi and home to Special Warfare Combat Craft (SWCC). Senior Chief Petty Officer Ben Wallace. Some of the SEALs who'll go on the mission include Slick.

Kopaska Group 5 is…
…an elite Indonesian navy group that will team up with GhostWalker Team Four to rescue hostages and includes Amar Lesmana.

The Enemies
Dr. Peter Whitney is…
…a sociopathic mad genius scientist uncaring of the destruction of the souls he takes to experiment upon. Zenith is a lethal drug he injects into his creations when he sends them out on missions. I suspect he takes a perverse joy in creating "pairings" between the men and women he recreates so they bond and produce genetically enhanced offspring.

From Marine Recon units, Gerald Perkins and Adam Cox are the handlers (who washed out of the GhostWalker program) sent on missions with Bella.

Lily Whitney is the brilliant daughter who managed to escape him in Shadow Game , 1.

Bernard Lee Cheng is…
…an extremely wealthy paranoid sociopath with a sideline in selling secrets and has allies in the terrorist world. Bolan Zhu is one of Cheng's top aides. David is one of his scientists. JinJing is one of his employees at the Cheng Company in China.

Senator Violet Smythe-Freeman…
…widow of her paired mate, Edward Freeman, is Maurice Stewart's vice-presidential running mate with her own plans for the future president. She's also a GhostWalker who hates her own, even as she's been paired with Whitney and others. Her skills include voice. Her guards include Nate and Darrin. Violet has been hobnobbing with Senators Crane, Delgato, and Jenson and General Ivan Newman, the Air Force's military service chief on the Joints Chiefs of Staff. Stanley Jordan is out for the bounty.

RH-Null is a universal blood type with no antigens.

The Cover and Title
The cover is dark with Zeke's face, his eyes glowing gold, emerging from that darkness. The author's name is at the top in an embossed red with the title at the bottom in the pale greens and grays of lizard skin. The series information is at the bottom

The title is what Senator Violet Smythe is up to, a Power Game.

I enjoyed this installment in the Ghostwalker series, especially as it delved into Ezekiel’s life. I’m glad to have liked Bella right away too. The author could have given her a harder edge, but she didn’t. She made her unique, yet relatable, with a teasing sense of humor. Their first real encounter was cautious, but so darn sweet, that I couldn’t stop smiling. She and Zeke blended well and developed into a smoking hot romance. It was fast paced, smoothly written and full of nail-biting moments that kept me reading. On top of all the action, you have the banter and humor of the group and the lovely Nonny holding them all together. I loved it.

I’m an uber-fan of this author from way back. From Dark to Shadow, each series had me from the first page of the first book. For some reason, this series wasn’t quite like that. I don’t know if the premise of the story – genetical engineering introducing some very different shifter-types – caught me off-guard but I didn’t fall in love with the books right away. I wanted to crazy love them. I wanted to fall head over heels for the characters and the stories as I had done before. Something held me back. I LIKED the series. A LOT! The stories are well-written with paranormal, suspense, military and romance meshed in equal, delicious balance. The characters were strong and compelling, unique and interesting. I don’t know what phantom element was missing but this story, THIS story, had it in spades!

Bellisia…
“She looked feminine and she acted it, but when push came to shove, she was a warrior through and through.”

Ezekial…
“He gave her so much of himself, made himself utterly vulnerable, laying his emotions on the line for her…”

Bellisia was a spy. A very good one. She was smart and stayed ahead by always watching, waiting, deliberating before her next move. That is how she stayed alive for so long. Weary, when she meets Ezekial and those around him, she yearns for something she only had glimpses of… Love. Family….

Ezekial was a soldier who endured his own version of physical enhancements and is so much more than what he shows to the world. He is strong and powerful yet he is different with his family. His way with Nonny and the children is enough to prod anyone’s ovaries into dancing a jig. I wasn’t surprised at his protectiveness or loyalty but the gentleness completely disarmed me.

The mistrust on both sides was enough to fill two boatloads yet the connection they had was mesmerizing. Lives were at stake, his family was at stake and the enemy could be everywhere. Be anyone. Not exactly a relationship starter but setting the stage for a relationship that was going to be challenged and questioned from the start…

There is action and danger around every corner with love and emotion surrounding every scene. Heart-aching, sweet and sexy emotion… I didn’t want this story to finish but it certainly renewed my interest in this series and I can’t wait to start right back at the beginning!

This is one of the best books in this series. I have really enjoyed this particular Ghostwalker team because they are really a southern family with Grace Fontenot “Nonny” holding this crew together as the grandmother to all.

This story is Ezekiel “Zeke” Fortunes’ story where he is led to his paired partner Bellisia Adams. If you remember, the insane Doctor Peter Whitney paired his Ghostwalker soldiers with the orphan women intending to create super soldier babies. Bellisia escaped Whitney’s compound and ran to team PJ to warn them of Violet Smythe’s plan against them, and there she found what she didn’t even know she always longed for…family.

This author continues to be so creative and interesting. So Bellisia has Octopus DNA, excellent in water and Ezekiel has the sight of an eagle and sense of smell of a polar bear, which made him an excellent hunter. With the pair by the Doctor Whitney, Zeke and Bellisia were immediately drawn to each other physically. But what the doctor never considered was emotional and mental connections between the pairs.

The author laid a great foundation by developing the characters even entwining the secondary characters very thoroughly. The plot followed the chain of events set by the prior books and continued the narrative of Whitney’s devious plan to produce more super soldiers. There was consistent action, hot romance and touching family moments such as the cooking scene with Nonny that made this story charming. If you have enjoyed the prior installments, you will love this one as one of the strongest in the franchise.

Whoop Whoop...........
I have given four stars but i did hover over the three stars, in the end i decided that this wasn't a "it's ok" three star book because i definitely "liked it" so it was worth the four stars. I am so glad i enjoyed reading this book, i was thinking of giving up on Christine Feehan because i was finding all her books repetitive and well....just plain boring!

This book was still a bit repetitive and the story line predictable, BUT, finally some proper action and not just at the end of the book but almost all the way through. We also caught up a little with some of the other characters, which i like.

The story was quite fast paced, the banter was funny, the interaction between the characters was smooth and they were likable.......(still predictable, as in, he was dark and brooding, protective, am i good enough for her? and with her, strong character, i love him, i don't deserve him, must flee to keep him safe!!) BUT with the obvious story line, plot and romance this is a kick back easy read to the end book.

Yes, i would recommend this book.......(I haven't written that in a while for this author!!) YaaaY i am so happy.

If you've been traversing this Ghost Walker journey with the rest of us, YES this is the next obvious step. YES, you will love it. Another enemy is vanquished, but Whitney still manages to evade justice.

This is Ezekiel's story and it's surprising how much depth there is to him. I usually feel like I get a good sense of the characters from previous books, but Ezekiel is more than I bargained for, in a sincere and emotional way. Power Game is just another example of how talented Feehan is, and thankfully for us, there are like 20 other characters yet to get their own stories. As long as the books keep coming, I'll keep reading.

If you have stumbled upon this read, and haven't read the previous books, YES it's worth it. Also, YES, you should start from the beginning. While each is technically a stand alone, there is valuable information in each book that allows for deeper understanding as you work through the series.

The only thing I'd change is a better order to the books. We keep bouncing around ghost walker teams. I think we're up to 4 separate teams and I want to know what happened to the yet to be mated members of team one.

The next installment of the Ghost Walkers was really good. After Spider Game, I did get a little worried about the series but this one puts my faith back into it being one of my favorite series. Bellisia and Ezekiel are great together, their chemistry was strong but didn't over power the reader. The conflicts were awesome, without spoiling anything some series stuff happens in this one that I think helped refresh the series. The plot line of the great protector, Ezekiel, who has spent his whole life protecting his brothers, finally has something for himself in Bellisia and she is definitely a strong partner for him.  She can fight along side him and stand up to his bossiness when she doesn't agree with something he says.  Their chemistry was sweet and passionate, but not over the top. Violet is the villain in this one and she is one nasty piece of work and poor Joe wants to save her so badly, it is sad to watch.  Anyway, it was a great read and a strong addition to the series.

Don't let this being book 13 in a series stop you. It can be read as a stand alone and enj0yed. I love Christine Feehan and enjoy all her series. In the past some of her stories seemed to be erotica being held together - but not lately, thank you! Yes, yes if you require steamy sex its there for you. If you don't require it there is a fascinating plot that will keep you engaged. Each character in the book will make an impression. I n0 longer read erotica, I need a plot. She delivers! If steamy sex is to much, gloss over it. Don't skip it because there are conversation threads in there :) I received the arc from Berkley, and I am volunteering my honest review. These are my thoughts, my feelings on the book. It is not the book blurb or info.

Power Game does not disappoint!

Bellisia is a strong-willed fighter. She may be a tiny slip of a woman, but she has the venom of a blue octopus and water is her safe zone. No one is going to tell her what to do!

Ezekiel carries a lot of anger, using his fist and enhancements to eliminate the enemy and reduce his aggressions. But one conversation over gumbo will forever change his life; their lives.

Senator Smyth comes at them with double barrels and a knife, as well as her "witchy woman" voice and the brothers and their women have to fight for all they are worth. When one of their own goes down, they are devastated but continue to fight, Bellisia right along with them. Some do not survive and there are many mercs eliminated, as well.

Ezekiel makes an unexpected discovery during the attack that will have you contemplating book 14. Nonny, being Nonny, makes for s perfect happy ending for Power Game. Loved it!!

There were so many things I loved but other parts were meh

I loved the H/h. Both had awesome personalities. H was NOT a jerk. He was not emotionally abusive towards the h (unlike the H’s in the last 2 books). Zeke put the h first. He was j/p & protective. He cared that she was upset.

The h was not only about pleasing her man & sacrificing herself. She was not tstl or a witch.

I wish the sex scenes had more intensity (like the seconds in spider game). H/h didn't have sex until the 60% mark.

CF still writes awesome action scenes

I wanted more page time between the H/h. I wanted more time between them because I loved their emotional connection.

I am completely over the boring cooking lessons Nonny has with the women. There was too much focus on the back story of the other ghostwalkers. This was told from their perspective. It was filler b/c yet again we will learn their story in their own upcoming book.

Zeke, a soldier with enhanced abilities, and his team mates, are going on a mission to rescue hostages. They also need to protect their families, genetically enhanced women and children, from a mad scientist who wants to capture them. Belissa escaped the lab where her DNA engineered abilities were honed since she was a child. She's never been part of a family but when she finds Zeke they realize they were literally meant to be together. Belissa and Zeke are a perfect match, but to be together, they have to overcome steep odds. Part of the Ghostwalker series, this is a great paranormal romance by a talented author.

I have been waiting for Ezekiel's story, I felt connected to him from his introduction in past books. I was not disappointed. There is a part in the book that I believe was the Best give my heart to you moments I've ever read, I cried for a good 10 minutes at how blown away it made me feel. I have been very invested in this series as well as the DARK series. Each character is brought to life in wonderful and exciting ways. The comradery and allegiances captivates and pulls you in. The only negative I will say about these series and many others is the constant explaining of how one exists. The telling of how they began. She explains it in EVERY book, which I get because people will start the book only to realize its the 13th in the series. But for your next books just one explanation is fine, no need to repeat several times in each book. after the 13th or 23rd book it gets repetitive and I'm ready for the next scene.so I skip and then may have missed something which is a tad annoying.

Power Game grabs you from the first word and doesn't let go until the last. Ezekiel and Bella story will keep on the edge of your seat as they learn to trust, love, and grow their relationship. Lots of twists and turns and one very big surprise for one character , couldn't happen to a nicer person. Whether this is the first book of the Ghost Walker stories you read or if you have followed from the very first, you will love this book

Checked this out at the library after lackluster feelings about other books by Ms. Feehan. This one was very good! It had a plot, there were some hot sex scenes. But they were of reasonable length. And a reasonable number. I would say 3/4 plot driven with 1/4 sex scene. That was the problem with the other books. When you have sex scenes thirty pages long, and there are five in the book well when that book is 400 pages it hampers the plot. Basically she wrote short stories and put battle scenes, and sex scenes for filler, so there were gapping holes. But this one told a story. Other pluses where the woman was not a broken, shattered shell. The man not obsessively controlling. The characters were likable. I Wish I could trade a couple of others for this one, because I think I will reread this

I love the different series she's come up with. This one is no different. For me, however, it was hard to get use to the sound of the audio on this one. The voice of the different characters. For some novels it sound good, but for some reason this didn't to me. Please don't let it stop you, though. I love the idea of listening to romance novels, especially when I have to go out for appointments. Again, this is a great novel otherwise.

Finally a new Ghostwalker novel!!! And what a book, I was riveted from the first chapter. Action packed gritty, sensual, just as it should be. Great to see Ezekiel find his woman. This is Christine Feehan at her best!!! What an author. Love Nonny with her pipe, can almost smell the herbs she smokes in it. She certainly gets things done. Sometimes I feel that I'm actually there with them, especially when Bellisia is hurt and hiding in the tide pool, I could feel myself looking down into it to try and find her!! It's crazy but it just feels like I'm there. And that's down to the magnificent writing. This is a powerful book a Must read. If you are a Christine Feehan fan then go out and buy it. It's a10/10 and 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Now it's a waiting game till the next one. Fabulous read. Sandra Cameron.

Its not about the BOOK, its about PRICE GOUGING. I won't get to read it. My libraries don't stock Feehan, I checked even though I never go there, I went and hoped to find that changed, that they'd maybe get this one. I read ebooks now. And I love even more to KEEP my books for years to re-read or to introduce a pal to Feehan's world. THIS is my thanks... Priced right out of the possibility, the ebook is beyond reach. I can't express how upset I am by this and I think it really is just WRONG.

We have a new villain, new arc to the overall storyline of this series and a VERY satisfying story! If you've not read her Ghostwalker series this is a good one to jump into. You can easily follow the history as the new arc to this series emerges. It's an intriguing thriller with romance that is believable and incredible.
Both hero and heroine are well developed and interesting.
I love all the obvious research done for the missions the Ghostwalkers go on. Looking at other reviews I see most readers of this book agree, this one is one of her best!

OMG PLEASE tell me this KINDLE -- an ELECTRONIC VERSION of this book is NOT pretty much $14!!!! I am so angry right now. I was all excited to read this book and blocked out most of the day tomorrow to do so -- and I come here to order it and its BLOODY pretty much TWICE the amount ON KINDLE than the books usually are if you look down the list. This royally pisses me off and I am sick of the publishers trying to rip us off. SO, I am NOT buying this book until it drops and BY THEN, I may not even be interested anymore if this is what the publisher is going to do to the FANS. Let's nickel and dime the fans -- because you know they want to read it. I am really utterly irritated that I may stop buying her books all together.

Escaping Whitney, after witnessing Senator Violet Smythe' s betrayal of the GhostWalkers program to Cheng, Bella made her way to the Bayou to warn Zeke and his team. She was unaware however, that she was paired with Zeke, as per Nonny's visions. Through fouled and rescued missions, attacks on the women, Zeke, and the triplets, and the killing of Violet by Bella, the two, Zeke and Bella, finally tie the knot.
Great plot, characters, and non-stop action scenes. A MUST READ!

I just finished reading Power Game and I loved it! In all honesty, I've been slightly disappointed in the last few Ghostwalker books and was so pleasantly surprised with this one. Ms. Feehan seems to have returned to what made me fall in love with her writing in the first place... a strong love story with a very strong, but feminine woman and a strong masculine man who isn't a chauvinistic cave man. I fell in love with Ezekial myself. This book had a little bit of everything... a great story, action, love and romance, family, friendship... loved it.

This was one of the books of old. The story had a lot of substance, a lot of grit and the right amount of romance. Beautiful romance, However, their was something important missing from the first love scene. Bellisia's back had to have been scared horribly from the hooks thrown in the water to capture her. Zeke,, being the protective man that he was had to have been outraged, but he never mentioned them. I also felt that that there should have been just a little more comments about Adam and Gerald when Rubin saved their lives and weather they even wanted to stay with the Ghost Walkers. Just a little more about them. Did they even make a move to help the others once the last two assassins showed up? I loved this book and look forward to the next Ghost Walker novel. I wish they were longer.

The Ghostwalkers are my favorite Christine Feehan series. I must admit, though, that I did not enjoy Viper Game or Spider Game nearly as much as the earlier books in the series. I am happy to say that something about Power Game clicked with me and I really liked it! I liked the chemistry between the main characters and the interactions with the team in the bayou. If you are a fan of this series, I think you will enjoy this book.

Power Game is a wonderful addition to the GhostWalkers series by Christine Feehan. Take your scarred alpha male, Captain Ezekiel Fortunes, and a strong smart yet innocent woman Bellisia and mix well and you have Power Game. I loved that the first scene in the book was Bellisia rescuing herself from a world of trouble. Power Game is a well written, fast paced whirl of intrigue and love. I read it in one sitting.

I was a devoted Christine Feehan fan until the last few books. Seemed like the books were just about sex. Power Game is like the old books. There is a plot and it is plenty hot but there is more than lust. I love the Ghostwalkers. The loyalty and sense of family is great. The bayou local is exotic and interesting.

I loved this book, I liked both male and female characters. I didn't like the previous book so I was a little tentative about reading this one but I'm glad I did. He wanted a strong female and that is what he got. She is a strong female that saved his life. I also liked how sweet he was to her, accepting and loving and she right back to him.

Ms Feehan writes a solid story. This time there is a definite forward movement in the series. Somethings that needed to be done a long time ago get done. About time. The characters are ,as usual, to be admired. Good things should happen for them. I hate starting Ms Feehan's books because I know they will end and it is to long between books.

I love the GhostWalker series, but I was disappointed that the price of the book was $6 more than the previous. Being an avid reader I limit myself to $10 top for books. So I patiently waited for this book from the library. I was not disappointed in the book. Loved the story line, absolutely loved the ending. Revisiting characters from the previous books are always a favorite.

Christine Feehan must have read our past reviews and heard our anger and disgust over the abusive slant her books had taken, because this book has all the hot sex scenes and intense action with none of that other crud. I haven't liked one of her books this much in ages and she's one of my favorite authors!

Finally! A good book from Feehan. Characters you can actually like - both hero and heroine. Not so much "I will dominate you" crap. Much more like her original series. Plot not too complicated to follow. And they don't hit the bedroom right away.

This is another really great book from Christine Feehan. I never have to wonder if I'm making a good purchase with her books. This one was especially good. I love character driven books and this one had really great characters, Ezekiel and Bellisia. I also love that even though I've missed a few books in this series, I can pick the series back up anywhere and still enjoy the book.

Typical Ghostwalker story if you like the series, which I do. My only complaint is when you kill off a major villain, I just think there should be a major build up and a major scene. It would have been nice if there was more retribution to the storyline. Just saying.

I have been a Feehan fan for years, but this book is weird. The hero keep referring to the lead female as "belonging to him". That she must please him, etc. It sounds like an old Barbara Cartland romance book from the 1960's. Ruined the whole story which would have been great except for that. I may cross her off my list of favorite authors. I got this book from the library and did not purchase it. (glad)
