Great story line very well played characters I also liked that the history of the Carpathians was mentioned but not repeatedly as in other editions and of course it goes without saying. I continue to be a loyal reader

She is my favorite author, because of her and her books that I started reading in English. From the first book of her that I started reading I was hooked with her books, it felt like I was there with the characters, I cry ,laugh.

I was so disappointed in the last Carpathian novel I almost gave up, but I am so glad I didn't! These are the kinds of characters I'm used to reading about in Ms. Feehan's books! Now I am again looking forward to the next book!!
Murder Game (GhostWalkers, Book 7) :: Oceans of Fire (Drake Sisters, Book 3) :: Leopard's Blood (A Leopard Novel) :: Safe Harbor (Drake Sisters, Book 5) :: Dark Fire: A Carpathian Novel (Dark Series)

Much better than the last few novels. I loved the story, and it did open for other stories, which I sincerely hope we get to read soon! The ONLY reason I gave this 4 stars, is because some of the information throughout the story became repetitive. Explaining something in one paragraph, and then rewording the same information after a couple of paragraphs. That got frustrating to me, as it brought me out of focus on the story. While at the beginning of the book, I went pages and pages wondering if I had missed an entire novel release, because everything seemed way too modern based on past stories. It was a great read.

Dark Carousel is one of the best of the Dark series. In my top three. I only put it down to fix myself a PB&J - twice. I love that a new story line and location has been introduced; however I would have like to have seen someone from the Carpathian Mountains actually showing up. I like to hear from those introduced to us in previous books. I like to know how their lives have continued. A great book can 1) make me laugh out loud. I can always cry or grin/smile, but not just laugh out loud 2) make me read it straight through. Dark Carousel only took somewhere between 15 and 16 hours 3) most importantly, makes me feel like I am standing right in the middle - watching and hearing what is happening. I wasn't just reading this book - I was absorbed into it. That is a rarity. The making of the dragons by the triplets - loved the details. I could 'see' them being made and really had no idea what they were doing. I know they will be in future books. Can't wait till Liv turns 18! Hope we don't have to wait for Val and Livs' story.

I really like c.f. books. It's called the dark series for a reason. With that said I don't like 10 per cent of the page count to be the language or chants when I paid 14.00 for the ebook. That is just not right. The book itself I thought was good and I know what to expect from her books so I have no complaints about it. Bring the price down and tell us actual page count

Christine Feehan has pulled out all the stops. Dark Carousel was moving so fast I couldn't put it down until I finished it. Tariq and Charlie are perfect for each other, along with old friends Blaze and Makism. The old warriors as well as the children especially Liv tie everything together. I thought at first it would be too much, but I was wrong. Christine Feehan this is best one yet!! I love it !! Look out everyone Christine Feehan has stepped up her game.

Another great book from one of my not to be missed authors! In this genre there is no comparison. The stories weave together even one series overlapping. I think the "connectedness" is what sets her so high above others. I can appreciate their writing but I'm not pre-ordering almost a year in advance and waiting impatiently for the next book in ANY of the series but the Dark series started me reading Christine Feehan and has kept me as a loyal reader for years. I love the way her mind works. Hot love without it being obscene - in this day that is a true gift.

Charlotte Vintage and her best friend Genevieve Marten are tired of running. Running from an unseen menace that took her brother’s life and now is on the hunt for them.

Setting themselves up as prey in one of the largest and swankiest nightclubs in town might not be the best idea in the world but it’s the only way they can drag the darkness into the light.

And then standing in the middle of the pulsing crowd, she unknowingly brings one of the most powerful Carpathian warriors back to life.

Tariq Asenguard knew the minute that Charlotte stepped foot into his club. He’s been endlessly searching for his one true lifemate ever since catching the purely intoxicating scent of her.

He knows that she’s in serious trouble and will go to any length to ensure her safety including keeping her ensconced at his estate surrounded by his family of gifted young orphans.

He offers her a life that she could have never imagined. One full of endless life and love, but she must leave behind everything she knows and be reborn to his world - A world where Vampires seek psychic women to bring their horrific vision to life and then overthrow the Carpathians to rule the paranormal realm with torture and blood.

With the help of her psychic gift and an ancient carousel, Charlotte will have to fight harder than she ever thought she could. Because now it’s not only her life that hangs in the balance but everyone that she loves.

Christine Feehan has always been one of my “Must Read On Release Day” authors and Dark Carousel delivered her signature spellbinding heat with perfect precision!

The story is as intricately entwined as the characters and it moves with lightning speed. There isn’t a moment or a word wasted. You will be left gasping for breath and absolutely dizzy from this passionate adventure…

Wow, this story definitely grabs you and doesn't let go! Be aware that graphic depictions of horrible actions against children are included in this book. However, the incredible journey in this story is a testament to the human resilience. As always, left me anxious for the next story in this series.

When Tariq meets Charlotte, he saves her from a vampire's clutches. Ms Feehan continues to weave suspenseful tales filled with hot love scenes. Her villains have become more dangerous in each story. I can hardly wait to read about the lives of the Carpathian hunters I met in this book. The women and girls are also intriguing. I'm sure their stories will be as exciting.

I have given a number of negative reviews lately be cause of the amount of abusive and controlling sex on the story. I found this story much better in that the sexual activity was not what the story was about. I look forward to more good stories from Ms Feehan.

Christine Feehan is the most amazing paranormal romance writer. I put in the dates of her releases on my calendar. I was one week from going on vacation when I got this book, my plan was to read this book during my vacation, so I didn't even open the the store box until I was on my vacation. Hardest thing I have ever done. I have one problem with her series, she has three I am reading, and she only can release one book in each series a year. When the books come out I read them in one sitting. I would recommend starting with book 1 in each series, because there are larger story threads that advance in each book.

I was disappointed in the last Dark novel but this one has restored my love of this series. Characters are developed. There is a story line I can follow easily. There are interactions reminiscent of the early novels. I look forward to seeing these characters in future novels. Well done!

"Dark Carousel" reminded me of why I love Christine Feehan's "Dark" novels. This book was filled with unexpected twists in the plot. Some of her more recent novels had become very predictable, but Carousel was more complex with character development, descriptive settings, and a plot that was akin to a twirling Carousel. I loved the characters Caroline and Tariq with the Carpathian-human connection. However, the many secondary and tertiary characters were also important to the complexity of the plot. The children, especially Liv, evoked heartbreaking emotions. This book has definitely set the stage for more Carpathian novels to be set in America, specifically, California. I anxiously await all of them.

Long wait but worth it the Carpathian ride again to fight another day. I never get tired of reading a novel that deals with the Dark fighters of the night. Christine Feehan bring her reader's thru another creative storyline of the Carpathian world.

This is a terrible book! This is the first time I have written a review of a book. I want to keep someone else from paying the high price for this poorly written book. The characters are flat and unappealing, the plot is almost nonexistent. What plot there is is very predictable. The sex is formulaic and boring. Don't waste your money!

I enjoyed this book as much as the twenty plus before it. I did feel slighted a little as I would have liked to know how the littlest ones faired through the conversion. Other than that it cadavers satisfying read.

Christine captures the reader right from the start and doesn't even let go at the end! I am avidly looking forward to what she has in store for Emeline, Vi, the children, and the ancients introduced to us in Dark Carousel!
