Murder Game is the best of the Ghostwalkers series so far. Too much sex? Uh, no :) The story line was tighter and more compelling than its predecessors and old characters come out to play. No dull pages to skip, no lag in the action and no unnecessary angst among the characters. Great hero & heroine- she's tough without being brassy and screachy. Loved it. It is worth the price and worth the read.

I love all her books. She is a terrific writer. I have read all her Dark Series, GhostWalkers, and Drake Sisters. I am waiting impatiently for her next release. Each series has a different theme, but they keep me interested from front cover to back.
Oceans of Fire (Drake Sisters, Book 3) :: Leopard's Blood (A Leopard Novel) :: Safe Harbor (Drake Sisters, Book 5) :: Viper Game (A GhostWalker Novel) :: Dark Carousel (Carpathian Novel, A)

I have enjoyed this series so far, now the storyline is getting monotonous. I will say the author is very good at integrating each book in series, so you can keep characters straight.
This book also can stand on its own, if you chose to not read rest of series.

Sorry, but much as I like the Ghostwalker series, this one was barely readable. Ms. Feehan's writing - and consequently her characters - were very superficial. I think she mass-produces too many books and her writing suffers because of it.

As always, the new novel "Murder Game", by Christine Feehan, meets the needs of the reader with suspense, drama, and human connections. Yes, there is a love story, but the author also delves into the relationships between friends and warriors. Good reading on its own, better if you have read the previous novels about the Ghostwalkers.

THIS IS WHAT I LOOK FOR EACH TIME I READ A ROMANCE BOOK. This is also a rare occurrence in my romance book, to find such "Ultimate Love Story" that captivates your whole heart and soul when you reach the end! Put it kindly, This book is a keeper that I will read time and time again and never tire of it! This author has a gift in crafting her story-telling with words that show you images that go straight to your heart...This is a love story that stood the test of death and grew into a lasting love this author wrote with so much passion and heart and ultimately that "essence" was reflected in her characterization of both Hero & heroine! This romance has everything, action, suspense and love story that for those who like their romance to be the sole focus in the book, then look no Further! It pleased me immensely that the romance part was not overshadowed by other plots, but was a constant presence in the book and it allowed the reader to know both hero & heroine! The emotional depth was so well crafted, I was simply "mesmerized" with each word/actins both characters executed and I was glued to the pages not wanting them to end!
The main lead..He's the ultimate Hero! A man used to being out in the wilderness and having trained with the military Special Forces as well as with the GhostWalker teams. Most of his life he had been cold and dispassionate in his dealings with people and never been able to form any emotional connection with another human being...until he met her...From the moment he saw her, I was devouring his each thought process...how much he wanted her, craved her and wanted to touch her! Seriously, throughout the book there was not a moment he wanted to separate himself from heroine...it may sound a bit extreme, but not in this case..This hero was used to being cold from the inside, not having any feelings/emotions and what he felt for heroine was completely foreign to him! I really enjoyed his transformation..he was caring, possessive and considerate and I was absolutely heartbroken each time there was a portrayal of his vulnerability when he though he was Losing the heroine...
He was without a question a Hero to die for...heroine was his absolute everything and he hoped he would represent something good in her life in spite of his "dark nature" and he gave 100% to prove it to her! What's more important...he recognized heroine as "his equal" in terms of their abilities and admired her Intelligence, courage, and compassion that he so desperately needed but just did not know it at the time! I like the sound of that..an equal partnership in a relationship, it makes more believable and sincere.."Both" were supporting each other and giving strength...Its a relationship that could set an example in real world! The heroine was also a worthy partner for the Hero! She was beautiful from the outside and inside and despite her compassionate and understanding nature she was not a push over..she stood her ground and fought when needed....I loved that about her that she was so independent and courageous! A true match for the Hero! This book was just perfect in every way! It has everything that I need in a romance and it made me feel so happy inside! That must be a good thing to finish a book with a happy heart!

I know I’ve said some of the others have been one of my favorite Ghostwalker books but, this one is top of the list, my absolute favorite.
Hearing about Kadan in all of the other books and hearing how he’s been referred to, how calm and emotionless he is, he desperately needed Tansy.
I really liked how the story started off, putting space between the paragraphs when it switched POVs.
I think this is my favorite because it’s more psychological than physical. The way that the author gets the readers inside Tansy’s head when she’s in the head of the killers is written beautifully, getting you just as interested in her thinking process as Kadan is.
It’s a thick book and takes mostly till the end for the team to get everyone and there is a little action but as I’ve said, it’s mostly psychological and Kadan feeling helpless and trying to dictate to Tansy how to do her job.
I loved that it took its time, that it was as long as it was, giving the couple some much needed time to be together with everything going on, and giving the readers more interaction with the team, especially when they start teasing Kadan.
A little side note, with Ryland being back, I did expect a little insight into how the baby is doing.
Also, it was great to see another girl like Briony, actually adopted out, but her family treated her differently, in a good way.
If I wasn’t such a stickler for reading books in order, I would highly suggest reading this one first but, I am a stickler so, read the others first, get attached to Kadan and you’ll really be looking forward to his book.

Wow Murder Game was awesome. Man can Christine Feehan write a intriguing plot. I loved this couple, and I loved this book. 7 books into this series, and I am still just as hooked as I was after reading the first book. I do want to say this book was darker, and there is some details about murder, rape, and the torture of men, women, and children.
What this book is about
Someone is committing murders, and the Ghostwalkers are getting the blame. Kaden has been ordered to find the murderer, and take him or her out, before all the Ghostwalkers are eliminated. Kaden needs the help of fellow Ghostwalker Tansy, who can read objects when she touches them, and she is helping them whether she wants to, or not. The only problem is the minute he smells her, he knows she is his genetically matched mate, and she is destroying all his ice cold control!
Everyone believes Kaden has ice running through his veins, because he never shows emotions, until Tansy! I absolutely adore Kaden. He has one of the saddest backgrounds of the whole series. The only way he survives his past is by burying all his emotions, and having complete control at all times. I love how Tansy turns his whole world inside out. Kaden is very Passionate. I feel Christine Feehan did a wonderful job of keeping Kaden true to himself. Tansy softened Kaden a lot, but it was a slow melt, and he was still Kaden. Still bossy, and dominant, and rough around the edges. Kaden is very loyal, and determined. I found Kaden to be a sexy caveman beast! I didn't feel he was too controlling, or mean, just your typical yummy alpha male losing his cool over a woman.
I really like Tansy. She is sweet, and giving , but she stands up to Kaden, and his iron will when she truly wants something. She is brave, and wants to do the right thing. She is driven, and single minded when she starts a task. She needs to see it to the end. She loves wholeheartedly , and doesn't play with Kaden's feelings, which I loved! She softens Kaden with her love, understanding, and total acceptance of who he is.
Kaden and Tansy have a insta-love, but it worked for me. They are full of passion, and set my kindle on fire. I love them together, and rooted for them all the way. I love the comradery the Ghostwalkers have with each other. I love the way they are always ribbing each other. This book had a great story line that kept me on the edge of my seat dying to know what was going to happen next. Murder Game is a terrific addition to the Ghostwalker series. I can't wait to see what else this series has in store.

Christine Feehan is going back to her Ghostwalker roots in her 7th book in the series, "Murder Game." Our hero is Kadan Montague (or Kaden Bishop, as he introduced himself in "Mind Game (GhostWalkers, Book 2)." Now, he says Bishop is just a nickname. And we need to ignore the fact that the spelling of his first name has changed over time. But I digress.) Kadan is Special Forces soldier who has been psychically and physically enhanced by evil genius scientist Dr Whitney. He is part of the first team of these soldiers, who call themselves Ghostwalkers, that were featured in the first three books.
He has been tasked to find solve a string of murders, which appear to have been committed by fellow Ghostwalkers. So he seeks out a former serial killer profiler, Tansy. He realizes immediately that --1-- she is one of the female Ghostwalkers enhanced by Whitney in her childhood; and --2-- Whitney has chemically altered the two of them to be undeniably attracted to each other. Think turbo-pheromones.
Anyway, Tansy doesn't want to help. The way her talent works is that she touches an object and can see into the souls of those who handled it before her. But handling that energy takes a serious toll, especially if the soul she encounters is evil or violent. The voices of the victims linger in her mind; at one point she even had a breakdown --and that's why she quit helping the authorities. And why she doesn't want to help Kadan. She is in no hurry to get away from him, though. He is an anchor, which helps calm the constant barrage of energy that is always flittering around her. She can even touch him without discomfort. And touch him she does.
Kadan doesn't realize the real impact that tracking killers has on Tansy. Until he tricks her into touching an object from one of the murder scenes. Once he sees the toll it takes, he tries to release her from the case, but she decides the killers need to be stopped. Turns out, there is a game going on that pits two teams of Ghostwalkers against each other. They're committing murders with specific targets to gain points for their team in a macabre competition. As the story progresses, Tansy works to uncover the members of the teams, and the elusive "puppet master" organizing the games.
The chemistry between Kadan and Tansy is great. But like many of Feehan's alpha males, Kadan is a bit too much. He insists on taking charge of every situation and making all the decisions. And it irks me that he insists Tansy allow him to touch her whenever and however he wants. Despite that, their scenes are sexy and he clearly needs her like he's never needed anyone.
I liked Kadan's story better than the other stories featuring his group. But I prefered the SEAL stories. This one didn't touch the intensity of the Norton books, despite a solid and interesting plot. 4 stars.

From page one the suspense builds in the seventh story in the Ghostwalker series by prolific author Christine Feehan. Keden Montigue drags Tansy Meadows into the investigation to clear the Ghostwalkers of murder suspicions. With alpha type male with looks to spare. You will find yourself enthrall with the characters and well written plot as you try not to peak ahead to find out what will happen next.

Tansy Meadows knows her psychic gift is a two edged sword as has used it to help the police track down murderers especially serial killers, but also has left her alone as even a simple handshake causes problems. Recently injured on a climb, she told authorities she lost her skill. FBI GhostWalker Kadan Montague had heard of her when he was training at Quantico and she was a teen. Now he needs her ability to locate serial killers playing a coastal deadly competitive game in which he believes a ghost walker is involved; perhaps two of them one on each side.
He finds her sleeping naked in an isolated field. When he grabs her, she is shocked her mental skills to cause pain fail her. Reluctantly Tansy agrees to assist him in ending the lethal competition although she hides her bet with herself that she will not come out of this one sane.
This is a refreshing Ghost Walker entry due to the lead couple and their telepathic romance and the killing teams with their apparently paranormal specialists in spite of The MURDER GAME concept not being new (see Barton's DYING GAME). The story line cleverly compares the growing love between Kadan and Tansy and the horrific violent homicidal hunts. With the return of couples from previous tales in the saga, fans will enjoy this strong thriller while wondering whether ghost hunters lead the predators and will Kadan say those three words to Tansy; assuming they survive the game they entered not meaning to be the prey.

Murders are happening along the coasts, and Kadan has been ordered to find out who, why, and stop them. He's also ordered to keep it under wraps - no one on his team is allowed to know what's going on. For the murders are suspicious - whoever is doing it, is getting in and out in a flash, no witnesses, no evidence, nothing. They're being made to look like it's the GhostWalkers. Someone high up has always wanted them gone. Now they're being threatened - a force wants them wiped out, and Kadan refuses to go down without a fight.
There's only one person he can ask for help, and he needs to find her quick. One of many of Lily's "sisters", Tansy is one of enhanced girls. As a child, she'd helped the police and the FBI catch murderers with her enhanced gifts. There's only one draw-back - the voices of the victims, of the murderers, stay in her head. Whitney had taken away her defenses and she can't block them. After the last episode, she'd spent a long time in a hospital until she believed her mental stability would allow her to function.
Now, up in the Sierras, she's working her freelance job, getting pictures for National Geographic. And that's where Kadan finds her. But when he sees her, his body reacts, instantly. He knows that the enhancing Whitney did included being paired with Tansy, but what he feels is deeper; quickly, to him, Tansy is home. She sees a side of him that not even his closest friends, the other GhostWalkers, have seen.
Together, in their struggle, they track down the murderers and who is running the game. Only, he's a `hunter', and a `dreamwalker', exactly like Tansy. Stopping him just got a lot more complicated.
And I so loved this book! I don't think there is one GhostWalker novel that's left me disappointed. I waited long enough for Kadan's story. Kadan, who always seemed so cold, distant, ice in his veins.
I can tell you, he met his match with Tansy. She's a strong woman, determined, like a bulldog who won't let go once she sinks her teeth into something, no matter the cost to her. Unless it's sex, she's not pushover. She stands up to Kadan, like he's never seen anyone do, and he loves her all the more for it.
I think, though, that I'd like to see the next woman be able to stand up a little stronger, to be able to push back when it comes to the sex. They constantly melt and agree to anything - I'd like to see the tables turned, and for at least one of the woman to be able to resist it.
What I really liked, the best parts, where when I busted a gut laughing at something the characters did or said. Kadan, the man with ice in his veins, was being teased, and I laughed my a** off. When that recording started playing in the car, I burst out laughing even as Tansy did. Listening to the banter between the men... all the while they're taking out the bad guys, which is supposed to be serious, and the banter between them had me laughing so hard, I had tears! That, IMO, was THE best parts of the book.
Perfect story, plot, characters, ending... the action was superb, the sex scenes tender as much as they are intense, the twists... OMG, the twists! You find out who's involved in what and it's actually a shock!
Excellent! And I can't wait for the next!

If you have been reading this series then you already know about Dr. Whitney creating a team of super soldiers with enhanced psychic and physical abilities. He started his experiments on orphaned girls who were then adopted out into family situations so many have become lost in the shuffle. I have been looking forward to Kadan's story for a while and sadly I was majorly disappointed in his character. And his mate Tansy is even worse. The only thing that saved the book for me is the fascinating plot. Someone wants the GhostWalker program destroyed so 8 murders have been committed and are being pinned on the GhostWalkers. Kadan alone is assigned to hunt down the killers as all his fellow soldiers are suspects. He goes looking for Tansy since she has used her powers to help the police find serial killers. I wondered-- since she had been in the public eye from an early age-- why she was still "lost" to Lily and the rest of the crew but don't ask. She had also been hospitalized for months after her last case and allegedly lost her powers from a nervous breakdown but no one thought to seek her out at that time to help her cope? Again, don't ask.
When Kadan tracks her down he realizes he has been programmed to respond to this one woman. Many fans complained of too much sex in this book. I don't know if too much sex is the problem, or the fact that all the sex was used as a substitute for seeing them actually develop a relationship. They were instantly attracted so they were also instantly in love. They didn't even know each other. But since they were both telepathic Kadan claimed he knew all about Tansy just from seeing in her mind. I don't buy this. Yet they are ripping each other's clothes off from the get-go and Kadan frequently used his powers to make her obey him against her own will. This was offensive. I had always liked Kadan but Feehan made him way too domineering in this book. He ordered her around constantly and she just let him. But when he told Tansy he could touch her any time he wanted and she wasn't allowed to disagree I had to say Huh? I liked her a whole lot less when she said this would be fine, just as long as he didn't make her perform in front of an audience. Supposedly she saw inside of him and realized he was just insecure. Please. She just looked like a door mat. Plus, every time she used her powers then she had to be doped up to cope. This combined with her allowing him to get by with all kinds of threatening behavior just made her look weak. I kept waiting for her to put him in his place but it never happened.
Midway through the book I was about to abandon ship. Fortunately I hung on and when they solved the murders it got really interesting. I loved watching all our favorite characters work together to eliminate the culprits. That was some of the most creative writing I've seen from this author in a while. It was great right up to the moment when they used Tansy to catch the ring leader in a dream. Why was all that drama necessary if Ryland was outside his house ready to slit his throat? He had to be killed in a dream first? That made no sense whatsoever. Not only was it unnecessary and made not a lick of sense but once again Tansy didn't do as she was supposed to do and had to be rescued from her own TSTLness. Oh, and you can forget me ever believing that Ms. Doormat was going to have the guts to cut a tracking device out of her hip without anesthesia. (She messed that up too.) I could believe that of Briony but Tansy? I think not. Still, the ending alone turned the book around for me. The characters may not have measured up but the plot was a winner. This book isn't the best of the series by any means but I'm not sorry I read it. However, you might want to get it from the library.

MURDER GAME
CHRISTINE FEEHAN
Paranormal Romance
Jove
Rating: 4 Enchantments
Kadan Montague is a man on a mission. His mission is to find a woman who has psychic abilities that can possibly help him solve a string of murders. Kadan is not normally a man who would bother himself with a case like this, he is used to the top secret matter of national security type of cases, except these murders look like they are being committed by a fellow ghostwalker, the elite group of individuals genetically and physically enhanced by Dr. Peter Whitney. What Kadan does not plan on is how strong minded the woman is and how much his body demands that she become his. It is apparent once Kadan meets Tansy that they were one of Dr. Whitney's breeding experiments, and that their bodies are literally craving each other sexually.
Tansy Meadows is where she loves to be, in the middle of nowhere taking photographs of the animals that surround her. In her solitude she does not face the repercussions of being around other people--the splitting headaches, seeing people's thoughts and actions when she touches an item that they touched. Imagine her surprise when her solitude is broken by a man who is overwhelmingly demanding that she go back with him and solve some murders.
Tansy is no longer working with the police and FBI to solve crimes. She cannot handle the repercussions of using her gift any longer. The only place she can find any type of relief from the constant pain of others is out in nature. But that relief is over when a man drops into her sanctuary demanding that she leave with him to help solve the murders. These are no ordinary murders. It appears that someone is making a game out of killing people, a murder game so to speak. What is even worse is it appears to be ghost walkers who are behind it all. Tansy is instantly dropped into a world of pain, betrayal and death. What she learns of those who have been her so called loved ones is enough to make any woman go crazy but Tansy must learn to face it or madness will overcome her. What is even worse is the instantaneous attraction Tansy feels to Kadan. It is as if they were made to be together.
As a fan of everything that Christine Feehan has ever written I must say that this book just did not have her usual attention grabbing substance. Don't get me wrong it was a good story, great plot but it was just lacking something. One thing it was not lacking was the sex. In fact in my opinion it has too much sex. I mean Tansy and Kadan were getting it on in the first few chapters. They had known each other for a matter of hours. This was just a little too much for me. I found the sex to be repetitive and too often so I ended up just skipping those scenes after a while. I really loved the plot of the story, ghostwalkers killing as part of a game, but it seemed that the story was more focused on Tansy and Kadan getting it on. I wish there was more in the story about Dr. Whitney but again that seemed to be a side story. Overall it was a good story, yes it could have been better, but it is a story worth reading.

Plot Summary: Ice-man Kadan Montague is hot on the trail of two rogue Ghostwalker teams who are playing a game of `murder the mark' for kicks and giggles. Their activities threaten the credibility of all Ghostwalkers, so Kadan must bring them down fast. To identify the murderers, he needs the help of Tansy Meadows, a woman who burned her psychic juice on her last assignment. Tansy can hold an object touched by a killer and get inside his head, but the psychic backlash fries her brain like an egg on the griddle. Since Kadan's hormones erupt into hyper-drive at first whiff, he knows that Tansy is his intended mate. To solve the case, he needs to use her like a tool, even if it shatters her tenuous hold on reality. This becomes increasingly difficult for our lover boy.
The plot summary sounds fantastic, but ultimately this one is very forgettable, which disappoints me because I figured Kadan's story would be fire-cracker hot. I think Kadan wimped out on me too far, too fast, and Tansy wasn't terribly likable. Her power to `read' the killer by touching objects is too passive for my taste, and the fact that it turns her brain to mush seems like over-kill. Tansy's like a crumbly cookie with too much damsel-in-distress and not enough kick-butt-action.
After a while, Feehan's sex scenes give me an overstuffed feeling, like the aftermath from gorging on Thanksgiving dinner. By the time I get to the pumpkin pie, I can barely force another bite. They're delicious, there's no doubt about it, but I think it's a case of having too much of a good thing. If Feehan is not careful, her books are going to read like a Lora Leigh sex-fest, and I'll miss the complex, intricate plotting that sets Feehan apart.
This is not the best Ghostwalker book, but don't let that discourage you from reading the series, as some of them definitely rate as brain candy. My favorites are "Mind Game," featuring Nicolas and Dahlia, and both Norton brother stories, "Conspiracy Game" and "Deadly Game." "Night Game" featuring Gator and Flame is also very good, but (how do I say this without sounding like a prude?) the sex is a tad on the kinky side. I think it shocked me more than it titillated. It was memorable though.

First off, it's porn with a subplot. Second, with phrases like "I'm going to beat you within an inch of your life," and "Don't ever tell me I can't touch you", it could double as a domestic violence hand book. And third, I am so disappointed in this author. I've read other Ghostwalker books, but this went beyond the normal mild misogyny and straight into hardcore S&M. Tansy was nothing more than object for Kaden's release. I'm surprised he didn't order her to call him "Master" while he forced her to fondle him in front of his teammates.

I love all the shadowwalker books, every last one of them. I highly recommend them for any adult to read, they have a descent story line and just enough suspense. I'm 86 and the only problem I have is the use of the f---word, I hate if and I would like to see more romantic scenes su h as love words, cuddling and softer sex. I realize most everything is written with a younger audiences in mind but I'm sure I'm not the only older person who reads your books.

I greatly anticipated Kadens story. I enjoyed his character in the other Ghost Walker books (I was fearful that it would disappoint as so many other much anticipated books do, but I was pleasantly surprised it did not). I thought the book was pretty well written and enjoyed catching up with the other Ghost Walkers, Ryland, Gator, Nico, Ian and Tucker. I felt their sidelines added to the book and did not detract from the main story and it made me look forward to upcoming characters books. I will not spoil the end of the book, but I liked how all the GhostWalkers had a part in the ending not just the one main male character.
I do agree with other reviews that the Agressive Sex is becoming a "too" much and boy I am surprised to hear myself say that. That is a trend with all the Paranormal Romance Writers lately, to the point where it actualy detracts from the books and not enhances it. The "Hero's" are getting too agressive and are almost as bad as the "bad" guys themselves. I want all the female leads both Ghost Walker and Carpathian to step up and do a little "putting them in their place."
But that being said I thought the book was still good by itself or as a continuation to the series, it was definately worth the read.

I was really looking forward to Kaden's book and was totally disappointed. He is portrayed as a sexually dependant male chauvanist.
what man who truly cares about his woman would get turned on laying next to her after she's been brutally abused by a serial killer madman. Ms. Feehan your books are becoming more violent towards innocent women and children and horrifically descriptive. I read a book for entertainment purposes not nightmarish gore.
the ghostwalkers are superheroes not sexual deviants. how about leaving some of the brutal parts up to the readers imagination. And allow the heroine some pride and dignity Not make her a sex slave to a man who claims he loves her. Your stories are starting to sound alike only the characters names have been changed. I would like to see a stong willed man with some self control as the next hero. one that isnt needy having to constantly touch and be inside his lover every moment of the day. I truly enjoy most of your writing it is action packed and some parts funny and tender and easy reading.
this is my opionion of the book and after reading the other reviews a lot of us feel the same way. I hope you continue the Dark Series I like the family ties in these books.

First of all, I LOVE the Ghostwalker series - and have loved Kaden in all the other books. This book was no exception. However, I have to ask - did Dr. Whitney give Kaden an extra dose of a "super charged sex hormone attractant"? Christine's books have great romance/love making scenes, however this book was way over the top. As another reader mentioned, I found myself fast-forwarding through the sex scenes to get back to the story. (I can't believe I'd EVER say that.) The plot was great: murder, mystery, suspense, action packed...a very good addition to the Ghostwalker series.

I have a love/love/irritated relationship with this book. That maybe because I have longed for Kadan for so long. It seems Christine has had some pointers in the sex writing dept because she has taken it to a new level for her and I loved it. Her sex scenes were AWESOME. (Someone note the time and day) I am ashamed to say it was too much damn sex. I found myself wondering and waiting to see if Whitney gave Kadan alittle extra juice or something because his reactions were abit over the top. The repeated 'Baby-I-know-you're-bleeding-and-almost-died-a-few-seconds-ago-but-I-must-be-inside-you-right-now.' scenes got trying. And man were they long drawn out ones too. No quickies for my man.
I was also a little mad nothing was advanced with Whitney and nothing revealed about anything else. The revelations that were made were anticlimactic for me. Other than that it was a great book. The action and mystery and tension between the two were wonderful. And I must say again...I love Gator!!!! This story took me full circle. This is amazing writing for Christine Feehan.

I've followed the GhostWalker series and enjoyed them immensely. IMHO, Murder Game is arguably the best in the series. The story is riveting and action-packed. Kaden is the ultimate Alpha male and Tansy is relentless and courageous. I won't give specifics about the plot except to say that Tansy is helping Kaden (and his team) find out whose murdering people and who's trying to destroy the GhostWalkers by blaming the murders on them. To say more would truly spoil the story and the journey taken by Kaden, Tansy and his team. We meet some of the GhostWalkers from previous books, and we are plunged right in the smack of the story, the adventure, the suspense.
There are many sexual encounters in this book, and Kaden is not considered a gentle lover, but Tansy is ready, willing and able to take him on.
I really, really enjoyed this book and devoured it in practically one sitting---it was that good. Ms. Feehan has hit the ball out of the park on this one. Will she top it with her next GhostWalker book? I can't wait to find out.

I have to start off saying that Kadan's story was one that I was most excited to read. He and Raoul, "Gator", were two of the a that grabbed me most with the Norton brothers coming in a close second.
Now that I finished the book Kadan was not at all what I was expecting. From the other books he seemed so much more in control and how would I put it? Refined? I know these books are about these ultra-controlling men who finally meet the woman that make them lose control. But for Kadan I was having a hard time liking the man behind the mask. For some reason his story about why he is the way he is just did not get to me as much as the Norton brothers background that explained why they were such hard men.
This story also felt different from the others as it felt like reading more of a mystery novel that barely tied into the on-going struggle between the ghostwalkers and Whitney. It almost felt like an after thought to throw in the connection to Whitney. I guess I like in the others that not only are these men and women meeting their other halves that make them happy in life but they are working together to find and eliminate Whitney.
It also felt like the sex scenes were way overblown compared to the other books. I found myself pretty much skipping over those pages.
The saving grace to me was Tansy. I liked her grit and how she pushed on in the investigation despite the toll it takes on her. It was also nice to see a little more of the other team members that are most likely going to be coming up as the main characters in future books. I think now I am probably most looking forward to reading Jeff's story. I want to see how he is really recovering from his stroke. Logan Maxwell might be as good but I think I need a break from the more brooding, sexist men. Jeff seems like more fun along the lines of Gator's personality.

When this series began, I loved it. Ghostwalkers were something new and very fresh, so far removed from Feehan's other books I was amazed it was the same author.
Unfortunately, Murder Game brings up one of the very points I found so repugnant in other books. The hero used mind control to force the heroine to do things his way. Granted, Tansy is not as restricted by Kaden as the Carpathian women tend to be, but having the man literally take control of the woman's body and mind is not something I feel is the least bit romantic or heroic. Kaden is a bossy bully and he isn't someone i would want to read again.
The sex in this story felt overdone as well. The number of sex scenes could have been cut in half and still been intrusive on the storyline. The fell into bed too fast to really build the romantic tension, and they went at it like bunnies in heat after that. I love sexy stories, but this one wasn't done well and as a result the heat fizzled. The characters felt shallow and Tansy was particularly flat.
Something that was well done was the suspense aspect of the 'murder game.' This part of the story kept me reading. Excellent acton and suspense here, BUT the author let the series storyline concerning Dr. Whitney intrude too much. The Whitney storyline didn't advance at all and I felt it cluttered up the storyline here.
In all, this book was a huge flop for me. I'm not sure I'm interested in reading any more Feehan at this point. Her men cross the line from commanding to control freaks and the stories are becoming increasingly congested with irrelevant information.

I'm a HUGE fan of Christine Feehan and after waiting & waiting for Kadan's story i'm estatic to say the book lived up to my expectation in every way. I disagree that there was too much sex, altho it is a little more than the previous books from this author. I actually thought the sex scenes were very tastefully written and most definitely very compelling for this story. It was beautiful, explosive, raw, exciting and sweet and I'm glad Feehan took that extra spicy step to write them in. After years of reading romance novels where the sex scenes are just glossed over or so vaguely described or you only get 2, 3 in a book, this next GhostWalker novel was an exciting read. The length of the book didn't fazed me in the least (I was actually glad when i saw how thick it was) for >400 pages it enthralled me right from page 1 to the last page. I love how Feehan brought back the Ghostwalker team and the camaraderie between the team members & we get a brief mention of their partners. Obviously if you want to know the story of each team member than go search for their books but i thought Murder Game stood out on it's own just fine, you don't HAVE to read the other books first to get the drift of this story. The Ghostwalker team is described, how they were geneticaly enhanced ect..Kadan is my idea of a VERY alpha male and i expect this of every Feehan heros every time i pick up a book of hers.
Love the book, great storyline about the murders being part of a game! what a wonderful story....bring on the next Ghostwalker story.

I, too, struggled to get into this book, thought the sex scenes a bit gratuitous, thought Kadan's caveman attitude confounding, found the plot unbelievable at times (especially the puppet master's super psychic abilities) and a third of the way through the story decided the book probably only deserved a one-star rating.
Fortunately, I stuck with it and by the end, I was surprised to feel disappointed that the story was over. In fact, I was ready to give it 5 stars, that's how much I ended up enjoying the book.
In particular, something about Kadan grabbed my attention. Instead of finding his neanderthal persona annoying and one-dimensional (like many of Christine Feehan's alpha male characters) Kadan grew on me - so much so that by the story's end, I was truly moved by his desperate need/obsession w/Tansy. I thought Tansy, given her complicated history, was interesting, likable and more complex than some of the other "lost girls" from previous stories; and the plot, while more far-fetched than usual, played out reasonably well.
But what I liked best (and is how the story ends up w/4 stars - would have been 5 but for the far-fetched puppet master character) was the fact that so many characters from the previous ghostwalker books made appearances and played significant roles in this story too. It made it more fun to read, if one can even call a story this dark "fun".
Definitely worth reading the other Ghostwalker stories first, however, otherwise I don't think you'll appreciate this story as much.

This is a really good book but it's not up to the standards that Ryland and Lilly set in the very first "Game" book. I felt that the romance and sex was a little much in this book. It's hard to get into the suspense and the thought that a serial killer that's also a dreamwalker and a tracker could get Tansy (the female lead) at anytime when she's off having sex every spare second with Kadan (the male lead). However I thought that the action suspense of this book was actually one of the best of the series. I did enjoy the interaction between the Ghostwalker team members and you could feel how they were really comfortable with each other. I liked "mystery" of the serial killers playing the game of murder. I really wish that Ms. Feehan would have toned down the sex or at least made it meaningful. I would recommend this book to most.

Of all the Ghost Walker novels, This was my absolute favorite. Kaden was exactly the way you expected him to be from the other novels that he was a part of. strong, mysterious, hard when he had to be and very protective. I loved how the other Ghost Walkers were involved in his story and the woman that was matched with him was perfect. I've read this story twice and I believe someday I will read it again, It was that good!!! So much suspense, action and the right amount of lovemaking. I loved the powers that each of them were gifted with. I didn't want it to end.

Feehan weaves a wonderful tale of romance and spellbinding adventure in book seven of the Ghostwalker series. Kaden and Tansey ignite this book with passion and the plot is full of suspense as the ghostwalker team engages in a rescue. I really enjoyed this book as well as the others in this series so far. Recommended for mature readers.

The murder game itself was fascinating, and I found myself wishing that the author had spent more time on it. For a plot that lends itself to action, the action of this book got broken up and slowed down by talk and introspection, some of which was rather repetitive. It was fascinating to watch the Ghost Walkers work together, particularly as this is the first Ghost Walker book that I've read.
However, I have one major reservation about this book, something that left a bad taste in my mouth when it was all over. First, let me make one thing clear. It takes all kinds to make the world go 'round; I get that. Some folks want to read fantasies about taming the bad boy, bringing the alpha male to heel, or even being submissive to a dominant man; that's their choice. What I don't like is when an author gussies it up as though they have to defend that fantasy and make it "justifiable." And that's how this book comes across, in a really big way. Kadan is extremely domineering, and while Tansy has just enough spine for the author to be able to say, "see? She's a strong woman, really she is" (as Kadan and Tansy insist on pointing out to the reader on a number of occasions), one kiss from Kadan and she becomes "pliant" and "obedient" (yes, words used within a page of one another to describe Tansy's reactions to Kadan).
Kadan might not be physically abusive, but he comes close to it a couple of times. And he does things that most people would NOT consider appropriate in a relationship, such as requiring Tansy to allow him to touch her provocatively in front of other people even when it embarrasses her. And it's somehow supposed to be okay because she can read his mind and knows that he's actually insecure and needy under it all.
Again, if you want to write a dominance/submission story for those people who enjoy such things, go right ahead. But damn well be honest about it--don't dress it up and toss a dozen different justifications at it so you can pretend that isn't what it is. As it is, this book left me with a sour feeling of blatant authorial manipulation of the reader.
My rating would be a 4 for interesting story, plot, and characters, but the above issue left me so annoyed with the book that I had to drop it to a 2.

I must admit that I was a little surprised by how quickly the main characters in the book started having sex, but that was my major issue with the book. I really felt it was too quick to come across as anything more than a "scratching an itch" type thing. I liked the way that Feehan managed to covey Tansy's vulnerability/naivete without making her look week, wimpy, or whiny. I must agree that so much sex can detract from the story, but at the same time she tried to write it in such a way that Kadan was using the sexual connection with Tansy to keep her from getting lost in her psychic abilities.
Feehan continues to move forward with her story line and plot on Peter Whitney and those that are using him/manipulating him, as well as those Whitney is trying to use and manipulate. She weaves an excellent story with complex relationships without losing the threads or the reader.
This is definately a must read, and I will be keeping this one to read over again.

I was glad to see another by Feehan published. The GhostWalkers series is better than the sisters one by far. I have been looking forward to Kadan's book and it was a good one. The only somewhat disappointing part was the quick sex. Tansy was a good character. It would have been better to have a little sexual tension. I found myself skimming the sex scenes to get to the plot. (Spoiler) Another quibble is how quickly they killed off the serial murders. Should it have gone so smoothly? That many dangerous people wouldn't have beeb done in so easily no matter how skilled their opponents.
I look forward to the next in the series.

In response to the previous reviews, yes there was a lot of sex. I wouldnt say it detracted though so I dont know why everyone is sooo upset. Just skim over it if youve had enough. The actual plot was great, the stand alone part as well as the continuation of the arc part. What I love about this book is that Feehan got back to a lot of the team members from the first few books in the series that we havent seen for a while, and they were really a big part of the book, not just thrown in for a scene or two at the end. Its so great reading there interactions and she does it so well. Tansy and Kadan were great also. The emotions came a little quick but in such a way that she didnt make it seem rushed. Just that they clicked and got eachother instantly. Im always sad to put down a book in the ghostwalker series bc I know I have so long to wait til the next. But this was certainly a great addition to the series!

Feehan had the perfect opprotunity to really expand the plot in the book. The concept of two teams murdering and the one man controlling COULD have led to so many twist, turns, and tension in the story. Instead Feehand squandered the time on sex, sex, and more sex. If you like just reading about sex, then you'll be pleased. I for one, got bored. I've never been against the sexual tension, romance, and falling for each other scene. I'm even all for a bit of lusty tumbling, but to just have to read over the same thing time and time agian is dull. The relationship was absolutely UNbelievable. They were saying they loved each other on the second day of meeting. The hero was overbearing and dominating and the herione was a pushover. They were not likable in the least bit.

For me there was way too much emphasis on sexual games. The story line was riveting and could have carried the books theme very nicely, without all of the show sexual details. However, I guess their addition is what sells books, so one can skip over these areas easily and still enjoy a good read.

Where to start wuth this collection of outstanding characters, incredible action and suspense, wonderful, emotionally connected sensuality and a hideous serial killer? Having read all this author's books I was ready for greatness, but this time both her lead male and female characters are so clearly defined and allowed their reasonable--though extreme--differences. This acceptance forces them into believeable compromise that then makes teir unity stronger. Plus the characters from the other books are represented and allowed to remain true to THEIR own strengths and personalities. ALthough these books are rather blood-thirsty, there is a strong thread of mercy that is allowed to grow. Not a spoiler--but at one point when a negotiated "hospitalization" happens, it is so emotionally real for all the characters--even family members we haven't seen in the story yet--that you are right THERE in the moment when hard decisions are being made. Do not start with this one--but jump in now and get on the fabulous bandwagon of these terrific, well written books.

I think the sign of a great series is when you love each main character more than the hero from the last book. I thought Ryland was great, but I liked Nico more. But I loved Gator. And who could top the Nortons? Until Jess became my favorite. And then Kadan had to go and top them all...
I too have been waiting forever for the story of Kadan...and I was so not disappointed. Many have said that they found too much sex in this one,and while Feehan did ratchet it up a notch or two, I thought it fit with Kadan's character. As a child, as a soldier, as a man, he has always been a creature of action. The only way he can process the depth of emotion he feels for Tansy is physically. Not only did I love Kadan, but I also very much enjoyed Tansy, which is a great bonus. Add to that a great story, lots of action, and a return of some old favorites, and you have a definite winner.

I got into the Ghostwalker series by accident. I had gotten Conspiracy Game in a book bundle and gave it a try. Okay, who could not fall in lust with the Norton twins? I got together the whole series and finally read them in order and ended on this one. Hmmm...when did Kaden start cussing like a trucker? Tansy is such a sweetie if not a bit of a doormat. Even Nico has a bit more dialogue. Kaden however, left me a little disappointed. Me personally, this was the weakest of the bunch. Not a bad story and I didn't mind the over abundant sex scenes but I agree with some other readers they fell in some awkward moments. They other thing that left me a little confused is who was running the show? Kaden or Ryland? Oh well, Ian's story (which I hope gets written soon:D) I hope will fair better than this one. I like this series and will still continue to read them but I will not hesitate to throw another stinker across the room.

Although this continuing saga of the Ghost Walkers has some of Feehan's usual action, the plot is extremely convoluted and depressingly (as well as descriptively) gory. Perhaps if Feehan had devoted more pages to plot development rather than repetitious sex scenes, I would have given the book the 5 star rating I gave the other books in the Ghost Walker series. For some reason, Feehan has given Kadan Montague, whom I have always considered to be one of the "rocks" of the team, a weird obsessive compulsion to stake his claim on Tansy, regardless of the location or who is present. While the book is still an okay read, it definitely is not one of Feehan's best.

I was ecstatic to find this book in the store right after Christmas because I was going to be flying over seas for a seven day trip the next day. Layovers are not the funnest things in the world, but a good book helps make the time pass by. I agree with a few of the other reviewers when they mentioned the amount of sex scenes. There were quite a few and I felt that they hindered the actual plot of the story a little bit. But we also have to remember that once these Ghost Walkers find their genetic match well...all hell can break loose. Kadan must have a little bit more energy than the rest.
I did like the plot and many of my travel companions will point out that I was very into figuring everything out before the end of the book. We had an hour long discussion on what some of the game pieces could mean. For those who like a good murder plot, supernatural action, and of course, romance, this is one book for you.

Dear Kaden,
I have looked forward to your book since Lilly's. You are the enigma, the man who shields not only his friends from danger, but himself from the rest of the world. You are the perfect ghostwalker and man oh man I want you to be mine!!
Your genetic matched mate Tansy started out as a great character but fell two dimensional after only 50 pages. And the sex.... oh man the sex all you two did was have sex, sex, sex oh and how about more sex. Like you meet Tansy... then see her naked... then have sex that night. Her parents are 'kidnapped' and how do you big strong Kaden handle it?? You have sex... again.
Did I mention that this book had a lot of sex? For the sake of not sounding too repetitive I'm going to stop there. The plot was amazing and shouldn't have taken back seat to the sweaty scenes. Christine Feehan is a great writer, she was just too horny while writing this.
Alas Kaden you fall below Jack and Ken now for their books were plot with a little cherry of sex. I hope the next one is as amazing as I dreamed Murder Game would be.

I had a really hard time getting through this book. Usually I will sit down and read a book cover to cover with as few small breaks as possible but this book took several days for me to finish. The long breaks in between were almost mandatory, it was like my brain could only take so much angst and emo before finally screaming help at which time I would hurl the book across the room to pick up later.
But even with all that I enjoyed it while I read it. I know it doesn't make any sense. But I guess to sum all that up in small doses I really liked the book but if I had made myself read it cover to cover I might have gone insane.
My problems were the extremes: Kadan with no emotion, Tansy with way too much emotion. Now Kadan I could live with, he was a little Gamma but more because he couldn't feel emotions, not because he was a jerk. Tansy, on the other hand, I had MAJOR issues with. People in the book kept telling me how strong she is but I just didn't see it AT ALL. And the TSTL (too stupid to live) moment when she sliced her leg open... well I wanted to personally knock her upside the head.
She's on the edge of sanity and yet she thinks NOW would be good time to start a seriously intense relationship with a guy she's known five seconds? That was just too unbelievable for me. I really felt both characters would have benefited from some one-on-one time with a psychiatrist.
The sub-plot was really good and very engaging, and I think that's what pulled me back to the book even though I disliked Tansy.
I'm still not sure if I liked or hated this book so I'm going down the middle with my rating. It's worth the read if you have read the previous GhostWalkers books but on its own I think I would have said "Thanks but no thanks." and moved on to something else.

This is the seventh installment in Christine Feehan's GhostWalker series. GhostWalkers are psychically and genetically enhanced Special Forces soldiers who didn't quite understand what they were getting into when they signed on to this "Black Ops" project. Their missions are on a need to know only basis and not the type of missions from which you would expect a soldier to return but these soldiers are in fact the perfect super warriors.
As expected when dealing with such a valuable commodity as a super soldier, powerful individuals who do not have the greater good in mind would do anything to obtain these men and/or the science behind them.
In case you were wondering, yes, these are paranormal romance novels. Each novel is a particular GhostWalker's love story. This is Kadan Montague's love story. Okay men, don't leave just yet. There is plenty of action, machismo, and some of the steamiest love scenes Christine has published to date in this book. Oops, I may have lost the guys with the last part; or maybe not.
I have been anticipating Kadan's story almost from the beginning of this series. He has been an enigma lurking in the background of almost every GhostWalker novel preceding this one and it does not disappoint. This is a man who is considered "one scary individual" by his own teammates. He is a cold blooded killing machine.
Kadan is sent on a mission with which even his fellow GhostWalkers cannot assist because they are all considered suspects in a series of murders. It is up to Kadan to clear them all. He quickly realizes he cannot go it alone so he seeks out a very special woman to help him.
Tansy Meadows has an almost supernatural ability to track serial killers but at a very high personal cost to her health and even her sanity. She tries to avoid human contact whenever possible, which explains her chosen profession of wildlife photography. It allows her a great deal of time away from everyone and everything. Isolation has become a basic requirement for her life to have any possibility of continuing. Now Kadan needs her help. How can she possibly go with him? It might literally kill her in more ways than she initially understands.
I am a reader of all of Christine's novels and from the very first installment of this series, the GhostWalkers became a favorite. Men who are capable of meeting the requirements to become members of the Special Forces are men who are already in a class of their own. I consider them a cut above us average humans and incredibly HOT! Now enhance their psychic and physical abilities and you have MAJOR HOTNESS!
The GhostWalkers premise creates plenty of opportunities for espionage, intrigue, mystery, and adventure. I think that is what has allowed each novel to be so fresh and each story to be strong enough to stand alone. It has been a series that has yet to run out of steam, and Kadan's story is actually one of the more exciting and complex of the series so far.
For those who have never read a GhostWalker novel and are wondering if he or she MUST begin at the beginning. It is not necessary. I would encourage you to read the first book, "Shadow Game", if you can to get a good feel for the beginning, but even that is not necessary. It is, however, definitely more pleasurable. Just read, and enjoy. Snatch up each installment as you can and all the pieces will eventually fall into place.

I really liked Kadan and Tansy and the story was fast-paced and never got boring. My only complaint is that the characters had sex way too soon and it really detracted from the tension. If they had waited just several more chapters, maybe more towards the middle of the book, then I would have given it 5 stars. I just hate it when Feehan has her characters doing it soon after meeting one another.

I am a huge fan of the Ghostwalker series and I have read all the books and eagerly awaited Kadan's story. Although his character developed a little bit different from what I had envisioned him to be, I thought the story line was good, the development of his relationship with Tansy very interesting and have no problem with the sex. I feel however that Ms. Feehan does not adequately connect the characters in the stories. For example she includes Jack and Ken Norton and Ken's wife Mari but makes no mention of Jack's wife or the twins. Though this does not detract from this story, it makes me less satisfied with the series. A good read none-the-less.

I love the Gostwalker Series, each one stands on its own so that it's difficult to realy say which is really the best. This particular addition features Kadan and Tansy, both of whom have had psychic experimentation done on them. They have also been unknowingly/unwillingly chemically paired up, so when they meet up, they are physically drawn toward one another.
This book was definitely one you had to pay attention to-- no skippin pages, people! There several plot twists in addition to two or three backstories that made the storyline particularly suspenseful. The central conflict in this book is a series of murders that are taking place, murders that could only be committed by a Ghostwalker. In an effort to clear the Ghostwalkers' names, Kaden has been sent to find out who the murderers are. He tries to enlist the help of Tansy Meadows, a reknowned psychic who claims to have lost her tracking psychic ability in an accident #which Kaden knows is BS#. Upon seeing her for the first time, he realizes that the scientist who experimented on both of them must have paired them together chemically as well, as his body is reacting to her presence. The rest of the book follows the two of them as Tansy tries to "track" the killers using object left behind at the murder scenes. There's lots of suspense, as using her talent too much opens a floodgate of nightmares and triggers seizures; you find yourself really rooting for her as she becomes more and more mentally and emotionally ragged by chasing the murderers in so short a time period.
Like most Christine Feehan books, the male is quite dominant and macho. Very overprotective. Tansy, however, is not as strong as most of Feehan's heroines are. Taking into account the character's nervous breakdown and the fact that she can feel memories/emotions off of everything people have touched (park benches, cups, spoons, walls, bikes, factory-made clothes, etc), I suppose that there was no other way Feehan COULD have written Tansy. I'm pretty sure she had Tansy thought up exactly by the time she reached this book, as Tansy is mentioned once before by name in Mind Game (second book in the series) and is referred to as being very introverted/quiet.
One way or another, I believe this s a great installment to the Ghostwalker series.

I love Christine Feehan and I love the Ghostwalkers series. That being said, I found this story harder to "get into" than the previous books. This story is heavy/duty with some disturbing scenarios. The book was still good, I just didn't fall in love with Kadan like I have with the other walkers. Kadan didn't seem to "thaw" as much as the other men, IMO. Definitely read it if you love the rest of the series though.

While I liked all the Ghostwalkers, there was something so appealing about Kaden. the scene where he is making her come back is so poignant, the things he says about being lonely. In all the books, he stood out, something about him, so mysterious. I was very happy when his book came out and I wasn't disappointed.

I've read the Carpathian series. This to me was just okay. Lots of sex at times it seemed to border on s/m type sex grabbing heroines hair and forcing her head in a certain position, etc. Most of the sex was cliche. Massage w/ oil, sex bent over a sofa, etc. But I couldn't see the heroine as a strong character. She always gave in. She's really overwhelmed by this macho, macho guy. Plus there were grammatical errors in my book. Does anyone do a final read? It's so irritating to come across errors that should have been caught before going to press.
I guess I'm just not into this author anymore.

I have enjoyed all of the Ghostwalker series so far, especially Conspiracy Game and Deadly Game; those Norton boys...phew. I love the teasing and joking around that goes on with the team when they get together. Kadan and Tansy were intense but thinking about their personalities and their talents makes them who they are. With all that enhancing, it's no wonder the sex was hot and alot of it. Can't wait to read Street Game.

The Ghostwalker series is about these genetically enhanced super guys and women who live very dangerous lives. There has always been a lot of action and a substantial plot. However, this time I felt that for every two pages of plot/action there were ten pages of full detailed sexapades. While the plot was pretty good the amount of sex throughout the book was way too much. I found myself skimming through those pages to get back to the plot. I hope she sticks to the suspense and action as she has done in her previous books. I am still a fan of the ghostwalkers because the plots and suspense are really good. Just a little bit of sex should go to this particular series.

I found the book in a store a couple of days after Christmas and I was overjoyed to have a new book to read on my Christmas vacation.
For the most part I enjoyed the book. I never thought I would say this but there was too much sex in it (which is why I didn't give it 5 stars). The murder story would be going along just great and then it would be broken up with several pages of sex. Then the story would start up again. It got to the point that I was skimming the sex pages so that I could get back to the story.
The story in brief is that men who should never have been made Ghostwalkers are being controlled by a puppet master and killing people across the country. At each murder scene an ivory chess piece (best way to describe it) is left. The good Ghostwalkers use the ivory pieces to try to figure out who is doing the killing and who is the puppet master.
Now if you are familar with the Ghostwalker series, you will have no problem understanding who's who and everything that is going on. However if this is your first Ghostwalker book, I think you might find it a bit confusing.

Ok now let me just say that the plot is a very interesting one which is the only reason i decided to finish the book but OMG.....
Whats up with the caveman and the idiot woman?!
This guy just pushes her around and shes just like "ok because you have a hard on ill listen" What kind of idiot woman is this?
I dont know whats wrong here i loved the other ghost walker books and eagerly awaited this one i mean the guys are usually pretty pushy but this guy is just ridiculous.
This book just makes women look stupid. I mean im sure theres a handful of women out there that like when there men chain them to their belt loop but please any super smart woman with extra hot abilities that can solve murders should know that theres something wrong with this guy
I didnt mean to go all feminist but come on this woman needs to grow a backbone and this guy needs to get his butt whipped a few good times but some hot chicks

This series has been hit and miss for me but I really liked this one. I thought that Tansy was a great match for Kadan. Her talent was incredible and so debilitating at the same time. I really liked how Feehan brought back most of the Ghostwalkers to help out in solving the murders. All in all a really good addition to the series.

First of all I am a huge Ghostwalker fan!
That being out of the way Murder Game was really almost dissapointing.
I had been waiting to read Kaden's story for such a long time maybe I amped myself up. This story felt really disjointed and their relationship felt forced especially on Tansy's side of things. This wasn't as smooth and natural feeling as the others in this series. I can't say I didn't enjoy it since it took me only a few days to read it but I can say I thought it would be better. Also the character of Tansy was an nerve itching pushover.

I too was looking forward to Kaden's story. I was very disappointed in the way his character came off. Neither he nor Tansy had any depth to them. The macho caveman type got old quickly, and her acceptance of him and his attitude, orders, etc was just too much. As another reviewer said there was too much sex at the oddest times that it took you right out of the story. The premise for this book was good and I would have loved to have seen it fleshed out more. As it was this book was about 100 pages too long.

I'm not even going to pretend that I am unbiased reader. I own everything she has written. (I think). This was a darn good read. I could barely put it down. With LKH, Ward, Keynon, and other writers disappointing me it was a pleasure to return to an exciting, well built world. Lots of great sex, action and the return of some well loved characters. Don't loan this to a friend you probably won't get it back.

I have read the Drake Sisters series as well as the Dark (Carpathian Hunter) series and they are awesome...this series (and this book in particular) just don't showcase Christine Feehan's capabilities as a writer. If you are thinking of starting this series because you loved her Drake Sisters and Carpathian series - don't waste your time or money! This series is so boring and unsuspenseful that it didn't hold my attention at all.

I've read all of the other books in the GhostWalker series, so figured the latest one would be just as good. Man was I wrong!
There's no real "spark" between Kaden and Tansy, they just sort of hop into bed together because, you know, they're genetically paired so they might as well get working on that (and working on it, and working on it, and working on it).
Tansy's emotionally unstable and trying to deal with her own inner demons, but Kaden doesn't seem genuinely supportive of her, and is verbally abusive at times (telling someone you're going to beat them whenever they do something you don't like is NOT okay), which I found to be a real turn off. Even when they "compromise" it stills feels like Tansy's being a doormat and Kaden is being ridiculously domineering. This is not the stuff of healthy relationships.
The plot itself would have been a lot more captivating if it wasn't pushed aside for drawn out sex scenes. I mean, there's nothing wrong with sex scenes, but when you have one almost every chapter and your story suffers? Then they're just there as filler material. And, when Feehan finally gets into detail about the murder game, it feels like it's over just after it's begun (bad guys are taken care of quite quickly). It's very unsatisfying.
I really hope the next book turns out to be a better read, especially since I'd enjoyed the previous books and the main plot line up until now.
Better luck next time, I guess!

Feehan's GhostWalkers series are getting repetitive. The hero's are all similar in character.Nothing new in the story line.Always a villain to catch.
Murder game is Kadan's story.I had been waiting for his book and was very dissapointed with his story. His character was similar to the other GhostWalkers(Ken and Jack Norton).Again a bad guy to catch(in this case 8 bad guys to catch)
Lack of mystery, intrigue , edge of the seat triller makes this book a DUD!!!
Sadly i could not finish this book in one go.I kept coming back after a break.Never happened before with her ghost walker series.I already new how the story was going to turn out.How the character would react.Kind of boring.
Well this is going to be my last read in the GhostWalkers series. Her books no longer are going to be on my watch and wait list.

I've been a fan of Christine Feehan for a rather long time and enough is enough. Kaden was my favorite character and she destroyed him. This series doesn't seem to be going anywhere and I don't even understand where this book was supposed to be taking us. This wouldn't bother me except Feehan's writing isn't good enough to pull this off especially since she keeps trying to connect each book with one main plot point. There was practically no plot but Kaden constantly making it clear to Tansy that she was his and he'll touch her whenever wherever even if she doesn't want him too. He actually does that to her in front of people from his unit that she doesn't know, and he can't understand why she'd want him not to.
This book was 464 pages of almost NO PLOT and constant not so well done sex. Enough already. I won't be purchasing anymore books by Feehan besides the seven sisters last book (though knowing Feehan we'll probably find out that there are more books in the series, probably with Ilya's brothers...) and I'll go to the library for the carphantian series. Other than that I'm done with her.

The his-hand-fisted-in-her-hair scenario...definite turn off, especially after the fifth or sixth occurrence (and this is before page 278 of 446).
On Page 278, the heroine asks, "What if I do get pregnant," after having sex numerous times. This doesn't occur to her before now?
She's a freelance wildlife photographer, surviving the wild, yet once the genetically enhanced hero comes along, she transforms into basically a doormat with no personality who actively welcomes the hero's domination.
The hero's, "You f--king belong to me," spill gets old fast.
And on page 289, he's kissing her to bring her back from a psychic encounter with the bad guy. On page 290, she's bleeding from her ears, nose, mouth, and eyes. No where does it depict that he stopped kissing her. That's not sexy or emotionally redeeming. That's just gross.
At this point, I tossed the book across the room. (I respect books, so this is a rare response for me.)
I won't finish this particular book and don't intend to buy any more of Ms. Feehan's books.
What a total waste of time and money.

Don't get me wrong I love the ghostwalker series...but this one wasn't one of my favorites. I just didn't get attached to the characters like I usually do. Like I've read from others I found myself skipping the sex scenes because I wanted to get back to the story.

Feehan continues to keep the Ghostwalker series interesting. The plot thickens, and this story reads like a horror story/ paranormal/ romance. The couple are pretty much typical Feehan brand. He's uber alpha, she's a naive, but very strong willed heroine. In the sex dept. there's plenty of it, but nothing notable. All in all I enjoyed the story and I plan to continue reading the Game series.

I have read every "game" book she has written and this one hits the mark again. I love her characters and the building relationship between the man and woman. I have not finished this one and as always almost do not want it to end. I find the psychic abilities of the "Ghost Walkers" fascinating. I love that each of Feehan's books can stand alone but I cannot imagine not reading each one.

This book was much better than the last one in the series. The sex scenes were hot and flowed well with the story line. I loved how each previous character was inserted into the plot at key times. The GhostWalkers are by nature team players and in this book you really got to see the actual team working together. Compared to the first book in the series this is the best one yet.

Like many others, I think Ms Feehan spins a great yarn with the mystery storyline, however, the sex and relationship material is just ICKY. Who are this writer's role models? Good grief, the men have control and anger management issues and the women are passive and weak.
I skip the sex and/or relationship pages. They are just creepy and I am far from a prude.
The murder storyline was good and it would have been great if more of the book was focused there instead of the icky and creepy relationship elements
I have read all of the ghostwalker books but this is my last one. It just creeped me out too much. Unless, of course, the ghostwalkers all check into a rehab program and become more functional characters
My one line review - good mystery storyline, but too much ick to read another book

over time most authors tend to wan in their ability to actively grip their devoted audience. I can say that this is far from the truth in feehan's case. I found myself desperately on the edge of my seat waiting for her next book, and when murder game finally came out I was far from dissapointed. the steamy chemistry between tansy and kadan is enough to make even this old cynical heart melt, and I found kadan's need to constantly sheild and try to protect tansy endearing, even though they met because he needed her to risk herself tracking murders. as I said feehan gets better and better and for all those feehan fans out there brace yourself for one more brilliant ride from the queen!

I was really looking forward to this book, however when I began reading it I was highly disappointed. It seemed that it was all sex with only a little bit of story thrown in. What story there was on the murder game was awesome, but again when it came time for the ghostwalkers to eliminate them it was too quickly done (Half a page at most for the majority of the killers to be taken down). I was really looking forward to the writer spending a little more time on the murders, but I guess all that page space was dedicated to sex which I skimmed over anyway.

Wow - she has done it again. I love this series - but I hate the fact that it has been a long time since I have read the last one is the series. Makes me want to go back and reread the books. I just love her style of writing, mystery and the connection with the other men in the book and the sex (which - wow there sure was a lot of it).
If you have not read the books in order - don't start with this one. This is a series you HAVE TO read from the beginning.
Happy reading.

I love the Ghostwalker's Series by Christine Feehan. The Heros and heroine's are complex and flawed, but sympathetic enough to make you root for them to find peace and happiness.
The entire subtheme of Whitney's cat and mouse game with his creations continues to get old. But the Ghostwalker series continues to rank right up there with my favorite paranormal romance books.

Once again, one of my favorite authors, Christine Feehan has writen a winner! This book is both a touching & passionate romance, as well as a consuming and intense thriller. It grabbed me from the very first words and held me to the last sentence! I highly recommend this engaging read to everyone!

Fellow Feehan fans are you crazy. Too much sex, I think not. This book was very well written and I believe the sex was a great addition. Kadan was way too intense though. I also wish that Tanzy had more backbone; she always gave in to Kadan's demands way too quickly.
Overall, a great read. Can't wait for Jake's story; he seems a bit off kilter to me.
Good job Christine!!!!

Kaden and Tansy Meadow's story was really good..just enough action!...just enough curiosity..just enough wicked sex!..ooops..did I say that!
Tansy's gift from yours truly( Dr. Whitney) was quite remarkable, she started using her gift at an early age to aid the police in helping catch criminals.., but her gift( with no experienced training) left her practically at deaths door! when she met Kaden he was her perfect match and he was there to guide and protect her.
This story was totally awesome!
