A thoroughly enjoyable read. The characters get developed enough that it really keeps you interest, and there is enough action to keep it exciting, while remaining believable. Good choice. I'm already reading the second one.

Andrew Warren is a masterful story teller. Stakes and tension are high page after page. Deep (and often damaged) characters. James Bond type characters are boring and shallow in comparison to Thomas Caine.

Very good book. It read quick, kept moving. I would get a little lost in some of the Japanese characters (who's part of which clan and all), but that didn't slow down the book at all. Worth checking out!

This story is well-written, fun and full of unforeseen plot twists! It is so nice e to read a book when the research and background has been so thoroughly and correctly done. A book written By a master, toastmaster.

Good plot, good scenarios and interesting characters made this indeed a good read but the Nihongo was awful. Google translate would give better spellings. Next time find a 'gaijin wa nihongo to katakana dekimasu' to help

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. There were only a few typos, unlike many ebooks I've read , so that was nice as well. The characters were interesting and the storyline topnotch. I look forward to the next installment.

Then you need to read Tokyo Black!!!
Everybody's guilty everyone's innocent? You can barely trust yourself in this one, soooooo how to do what needs to be done? Several people have to ask themselves that.
Good read

Really enjoyed Tokyo Black. Well developed story with interesting characters. I have not read hardly any books that used Japan as the primary locale for the story line. I look forward to reading more Thomas Caine novels.
