4.5 Suspenseful Stars
I’m a HUGE fan of Jennifer L. Armentrout. She usually writes NA and YA reads. I was really surprised to have received this one. I haven’t read a suspenseful book in a while and I forgot how much I love this genre.

The book is 100% mysterious and will keep you intrigue and guessing until the very end.
Sasha is coming back home after ten years. She lives in a small hometown where everyone knows her business. Something tragic and horrible happened to her in the past and even though she is fully recovered from the event, she still trying to move forward.

Right away we know something happened to Sasha, it doesn’t go into full detail into what happened but we know it was BAD. I really liked Sasha as a person. I found her really strong, loyal and extremely kind. She’s not a wallflower, but I do like my damsels in distress and it’s always nice to be saved.

Cole is the boy Sasha had a relationship with before everything happened. Maybe they would have still been together if it wasn’t for what happened to Sasha. So its years later and Cole realizes Sasha is back in town.

OH MY GOODNESS, how I loved Cole. Cole was the PERFECT HERO character. Cole is a FBI agent and when Sasha left he was a young man, but now he’s a full grown man. He’s ready to get into Sasha’s life again, even if he has to push and shove his way through. I LOVE it when the Hero chases the Heroine. It’s so delicious to read and I had a smile on my face THE ENTIRE TIME.

I really enjoyed Till Death. I love the suspenseful plot. I loved finding out throughout the book what happened to Sasha. I loved guessing who was good and who was bad. I loved reading about Cole and Sasha’s relationship and I found the chemistry really … and I’ll say it again good.
Till Death was the perfect suspenseful dramatic read.

Heart pounding, anxious feeling right off the bat. This book grabbed my attention from the first sentence. Without knowing anything else I wanted to KNOW who HE was. This book has all the feels, scary, sexy and romantic feels.

Sasha Keeton and Cole Landis are college sweethearts until the night Sasha is taken by a serial killer known as "The Groom" - Held, terrorized and worse.

Move forward 10 years, Sasha still trying to piece her life back together she is the only living survivor from a serial killers spree and she must return to her home town to help her mother with the family business, back to where it all happened. Not knowing that history seems to be repeating itself.

Cole, never having forgiven himself for Sasha being taken that fateful night, went into law enforcement and is now an FBI agent. He also NEVER forgot Sasha and having her home is a second chance he is not about to pass up. When strange things start happening again upon Sashas return, everything seems to be pointing to "The Groom" being back, but that is impossible right? Sasha killed him herself to escape.

Till Death is a brand new Adult, mystery, suspense romance. Of course there is romance as we couldn't expect anything less from Jennifer Armentrout. Cole doesn't let his second chance slip him by and pursues Sasha right up till the end as does The Groom - the answer to who will win keeps you turning the pages and on the edge of your seat until the very end.

Get this book, devour it, you wont be disappointed. Jennifer L Armentrout for the win again. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

What was not to love about this book? The suspense was great. The romance is great. I devoured the book needing to know if I was correct about who the killer was. Jennifer does such a good job of keeping you on the edge of your seat and wanting more that you don't even realize you've just read 100 pages. She does such a good job of weaving the romance into the story. It's important to the plot but not the main focus. It's the perfect amount. It doesn't feel like too much and steal your focus away from the mystery of finding out who killer was. Sasha and Cole are great together. Sasha is finally trying to confront her truly horrific past and Cole is a beautiful part of that tragic past. When she wants to run he keeps her grounded and they're able to work they're demons out together. Jennifer does such a good job of showing the aftermath of surviving something like what happened to Sasha and how it's not all sunshine and rainbows. She gives Sasha real sorrows and guilt and fear and shows that those feelings don't go away right away; everyday is a struggle. She does such a job of showing how it has affected the people that Sasha loves. Her mom who is happy for her to be home but worried about how being home is going to affect her, her best friend who is willing to go to hell and back for her, and the guy who always loved her and gave her space and let her find her own way and recover without be angry and bitter towards her. This book has so much more depth and emotion than I expected. It was awesome and everyone should read it.

Great romantic suspense novel by Jennifer L. Armentrout. There are many authors who try this genre and end up not grabbing my attention. Jennifer did a great job, and I loved that she took her time to really tell a story. I loved Cole, and I appreciated that he didn't hold a grudge against Sasha, which was refreshing. Sasha is a strong woman who still has demons to fight both mentally and literally. How much bad luck could a woman have, that the moment she comes back after being gone for ten years, that she becomes a target again. Sasha and Cole were perfect for each other, I loved that they got a second chance at love.

The suspense part was done really well, however there were a couple of things I predicted early on, so I was glad when she threw a plot twist in the book. I also enjoy reading the inner monologues of killers, so I was happy that it was included in this book. There were a couple of emotional scenes, and I was glad that the author took it there. It gives an extra emotional punch and makes the reader feel more connected to the characters and story. The writing was great and I am hoping that the author will write more books in this genre, because she did an awesome job.

The only survivor who managed to escape the infamous serial killer Groom, Sasha Keeton sometimes questions her luck.

"There were two types of death. Actual death, like the kind this poor woman had suffered, where the body and soul and everything was gone. Then there was the second kind of death—where the soul was stripped away, but the body continued on, going day to day, just existing in a shell of what once was."

Ten years ago she broke off almost every connection she had with the place that still gives her nightmares. Her family, friends, boyfriend were all left behind as she tried to erase the scariest chapter of her life. A decade of running is a long time, and eventually Sasha finds herself back home, on the steps of the family inn she always dreamt of running. She's older now; exhausted from not living the life she wants, Sasha tries to stay strong as the past keeps making attempts of sending her into running again. A strange feeling of being watched, hostile comments from locals and pranks that mess with her head might be too much for Sasha to deal with.
But she's surrounded by people who want her there, one of them being Detective Cole Landis, a boyfriend she left behind ten years ago.
If you have read other JLA's books, you'll understand when I say Cole Landis is author's signature book boyfriend. If you haven't - well... you are missing out a lot. JLA makes it almost impossible to not like main male characters in her stories (except for Jax, in my opinion, but that's a different story :) ).
Watching Sasha and Cole interact is both intriguing and highly entertaining. The couple has a history, even if not a very long one, it makes you hold a breath every time you think you are witnessing "that" turn in their relationship. It's a bittersweet felling when you think about all the time that was wasted, but trust me, they make up for that time.

I must admit I haven't read a lot of suspense novels, but since it's Jennifer L Armentrout I was sure I wouldn't be disappointed. It's creepy enough to keep you on your toes, but it's still has lots of romance.

Now, why only four stars? In the very beginning of the book I had a problem with some inconsistency in Sasha's behavior. One moment she was paranoid that someone was watching her from behind the trees, and another- something strange and spooky happens and she doesn't question it or have any second thoughts about it. There were couple other things that were mentioned in the novel that seemed significant but they were never spoken about again or led to anything.

Overall I'm super excited about this new genre the author decided to explore and definitely looking forward to read more stories like this one in the future!

This is a very good mystery and thriller novel with a touch of romance to round it out! Now, from what I head heard the author doesn't usually write within this genre and instead, writes young adult and new adult romances. If this is the case, I really believe she needs to write MORE just like this because it's such a GREAT book. It's a little dark, very mysterious, and completely thrilling. So bravo, Jennifer for bringing readers something a little different in terms of genre (and doing it successfully).

All in all, I found this to be a really quick and fast paced read. It's definitely got its gruesome moments especially towards the end, but it really makes the "psychoticness" of a certain character stand out. The romance is on par with other great romantic suspense novels and I found myself smiling because the heroine, Sasha, has finally found (or reconnected with) the man of her dreams. Of course, much of the romance is overshadowed by the stalking, serial killer, but it's still there are done wonderfully.

Fans of the author and those who love a mystery and thriller novel should definitely give this book a try. I personally LOVE reading about serial killers (how interesting they are) and this one has certainly "quenched my thirst" and gave me everything I was looking for.

I normally don't read romantic suspense, but now I will we reading more because Till Death was phenomenal! I could not put it down! This is one of the reason why I love reading all of Jennifer L. Armentrout, her writing is pure addiction. That is why she is one of my auto-buy authors because I need to read all of her books! If you haven't ordered this book yet, go do it immediately! It had a great romance and whew the mystery was well done!

There were definitely some shocking moments while reading especially about the Groom. Each character got to me. Sasha has come back to her hometown after ten years ago after a traumatic incident. She has struggled but at the same time she is trying to over come them and face her fears . Immediately we meet the very handsome Cole, who just stole my heart with all his smooth words. She is the one that got away and he is very protective of her.

The romance was of course perfect. Jennifer L. Armentrout knows what she is writing and this is one of the reasons why her writing is the best. You fall in love with their romance and the character themselves. Between the romance and all the suspense I was not bored. Overall, you need to read Till Death. If you love Jen's other books you will definitely want to add this to your list!!

Growing up I loved novels full of mystery- the kind that would keep me up all night scared- and written by the likes of Stephen King or Dean Koontz. The older I got, the more I fell in love with romance. Of course, this is how I was introduced to the amazing Jennifer Armentrout!
And now, with Till Death, she's two genres that built my reading foundation and combined them into one sexy, creepy, perfect novel.

Now, don't turn away because you're concerned it will be too scary- while yeah, it's got chill factor this one is a through and through love story. Just maybe don't read it at 2 am when you're home alone and can't sleep like I did.

Sasha is instantly likable and relatable. You feel for her, with her, from page one and that emotion doesn't end.

Cole is every bit the leading man you dream of. Sensitive. Compassionate. Fiercely protective. And hot. As. Hell! I could not get enough of him!

You won't be able to stop turning the page with Jennifer's newest release!! Go get your copy now... suspense fan, romance fan.. this one is a book for everyone!

Suspenseful and smart, Armentrout has you on the edge of your seat.

When Sasha returns to her home town she left behind ten years ago, she thinks her life will finally start to fall into place as she imagined before tragedy struck her life. When Sasha was just a teenager she was abducted by a serial killer known as "The Groom". She was the only one to escape his clutches and has spent years in intensive therapy as a result. Despite this, Sasha is a strong woman. At 29, she is still coping with her past, but has the tools to help herself now.

Sasha has returned to help her Mom run their family inn when strange things start to happen... Her car is broken into and girls are starting to go missing once again. The circumstances have Sasha wondering if this is coincidence or something more sinister.

I absolutely love when Jennifer L. Armentrout puts pen to paper.... or is it finger to keyboard now? Who knows. Jenn, how do you write, so I can get my life straight? Anyway, JLA just writes books that I want to read. She is truly such a versatile author. YA, NA, Adult - nothing can get in her way as far as content, readability, and the overall entertainment value of her novels. I would not be worried in the least to purchase any of her works. I mean she wrote about aliens in high school and it was a New York Times bestseller. Till Death is no exception to this statement. This book is one of my first 5 star reviews this year. It is suspenseful and has you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what is going on in this town.

Sasha has quite the support system. Her mom and best friend are there for her any time she may need them and now Cole is back in the picture. She is reluctant at first to give into his advances, but her best friend and Mom are right there to put her back in her place. We really see Sasha grow as a character from the beginning of this book until the end. I love when books show you how the characters morph into stronger people as the story goes on.

This book has the perfect balance of suspense and romance. If you're worried about the romance aspect, worry not! Cole is super swoonworthy. ;)

If you like suspense, romance, thrillers, JLA, or all 4 you should pick up this book. You won't be disappointed. Till Death grips you from the start and keeps you locked on until the last page. Wonderful job, Armentrout, as always.

4.5 stars*****

This was a suspenseful adult second-chance-romance that I would definitely read again.

Like every other JLA book, the characters were FANTASTIC, the plot was just amazing and unique and the writing was on point.

I can't even explain how much you'll love Cole. He is a wonderful guy who knows what he wants and isn't scared to go after it.
Sasha is a witty sarcastic woman who has been through things we couldn't even begin to imagine and still manages to stay strong.

The Groom is a very sick and twisted person that was actually very intersting to get to know. Specially knowing that Jen used the background she had studied in school to create him and his story.

Even though it was predictable -at least it was for me, quite sadly. And I don't get to say that a lot - it was still enjoyable.

This story was addictive as hell and I couldn't put it down for even a minute. Steamy romance, awesome lines, a character in which head is fantastic to be in and a love interest that is not leaving my heart anytime soon, I totally reccommend this book to anyone out there in need of a good story.

3.5 Stars!
Jennifer Armentrout is one of those authors that I will read pretty much everything she writes and love it. When I saw the blurb for Till Death I knew I had to get my hands on it because it seemed so different from the stories she usually writes. Here's a romantic, mystery, thriller from one of my favorite authors! I’m in!

I’m going to be super honest and blunt here: Till Death wasn’t all that remarkable. However, it did have charisma which goes a long way. The pacing and writing style pull you along effortlessly through the story. There is an excellently creepy villain named The Groom. For real guys, super creepy serial killer realness here! I enjoyed the romance between Cole and Sasha and was glad they were together again. A lot of effort went into disguising who the killer was. The thing is…I still figured out who the killer was almost immediately. Maybe I’m just a suspicious person? I knew that because no one would suspect this character that it would make a good twist to have them be the killer. I was right. The obviousness kind of defeats the whole point of a mystery, right?

If you look past the charisma, Till Death starts to falter a bit. I mean it was really a good effort to keep the mystery going by try to subterfuge the killer’s identity. It just didn’t work. At least it didn’t for me. I will say I wasn’t able to predict the “why” so much as the “who” so I have to give an “A” for effort but a “C” to the big reveal. I begrudgingly must confess that the characters were fairly dull. Not a lot of spunk or personality to be had here. The story is told almost entirely from Sasha’s perspective so we do get a lot of her inner monologue but I still feel like she’s not really a developed character. It seems as if her identity is entirely defined by being a victim of The Groom. I’m not sure I really know her outside of that. The characters just didn’t quite become three dimensional for me. But, on the bright side, they were at least two dimensional. Luckily they weren’t one dimensional or this would have been abysmal.

I guess the main thing I took from Till Death was that it could have been better but who cares? Jennifer Armentrout’s fans will love this because it stays consistent with her amazing writing style. Is this her best work? No, it’s not but it’s not her worst work either. It was a fun suspense filled romance. Yes, it could have been better but I’m not really bothered that it wasn’t.

** spoiler alert ** Sasha escaped from The Groom, a serial killer, ten years ago. Soon she left her small town and cut off contact with everyone but her mom and best friend Miranda, including Cole the guy she had been dating and was kind of in love with. Fast forward to the present and she has decided to move back home and fulfill her dream of helping her mom run the family Inn. But weird things start to happen and soon women go missing and are found dead. Now that she is home Sasha and Cole reconnect, and fall back in love. While everyone tries to figure out if it is a Groom copy cat or there were actually 2 people that were the Groom. The killer is pretty predictable but the chemistry between Cole and Sasha made this a quick read.

Sasha is back at her hometown after 10 years. She escaped a serial killer when she was 19 years old and never looked back. She only keep in contact with her mom and Miranda, her best friend. She left behind friends, and her pseudo-boyfriend, Cole.

Sasha is back to help her mom. But, even when she was away for 10 years, she never really escaped the nightmares and memories of what happened with her when she was with The Groom. Aand , when is back, woman starts to die...again. And in the same way, even when the groom is already dead.

Cole, our hero, is now in the FBI, and until this day he blames himself for what happened to Sasha. in his mind, he could have donde more, but we all know, and Sasha knows, that is not true.

Sasha and Cole meet again after 10 years, and the conection is still there, in the bottom of their hearts. Cole knows what he wants and he will not stop until Sasha knows it too. But he gaves her time, and he is patient guy, so he waits for her.

When this is happening, weird thing happens to Sasha too. Her car is attacked, she is attacked, the mayor of the city doesnt want her there, a journalist wants to know things and tell her things, and everything is getting dangerous.

But, she has support, apart from Cole and her mom, there is Miranda, her best friend and Jason, whom was her friend when they were 19, but she never took her calls again. They all reconnect and help each other.

I really liked Sasha, she is strong and even with what happened to her (that was something really twisted) she wants to live again. I loved Cole too, he is always protecting Sasha, and he knows she is the one, so he do what he has to do. The friends of Sasha are great, very supportive and her mom is amazing.

I gotta say, i knew who the bad one was. Jenn left clues in he pages, and if u are paying atentionx, you will know too. And that is why the revelation wasnt that shocking to me.

Overall, this book was filled with a swoony hero, great characters and a bad, bad villain.

Jennifer Armentrout can write ANYTHING. Till Death was a thrilling page turner that was impossible to put down. It's the perfect balance of suspense, murder, and romance. There's so many twists and turns—it'll keep you guessing who the killer is. I couldn't stop reading because I had to see if my prediction was correct. Armentrout definitely knows how to keep readers invested in the story. Not only is the suspense great, but since this is JLA we're talking about, you know you're in for a delicious romance as well.

Like with all JLA heroes, I completely fell for Cole Landis. He was swoony, sexy, protective, caring and just PERFECT. Cole and Sasha were pretty amazing together. You could tell their connection ran deep even after being apart for a long time. Considering everything she went through, Sasha was such a strong woman.

Till Death is perfect for fans of suspense and even second chance romance. It kept me hooked from beginning until end!

Jennifer L. Armentrout never disappoints me and with her new Adult book Till Death hitting the shelves today, I just want to say congratulations and happy book birthday because this book was just amazing.
You'll fall in love with Cole and how protective he is. Sometimes, you'll doubt him through the story but damn, he puts up with a lot for the woman that he loves and has lost once. He definitely isn't going to let her be lost again. He is her light till death due them apart. Sasha is brave for coming back to the town that has haunted her and her once in a lifetime encounter with her lost love.

They will fight to be together.

This couple has yet to beat my other favorite JLA characters but Cole is definitely swoon worthy and definitely worthy of being created by JLA.

Till Death is suspenseful and wonderful with twists and turns that you cannot even imagine.

Remember, Till Death due us apart.

Where to begin with this book. Initially I was skeptical to begin reading Til Death. It is not my usual type, I generally read new adult romance books, but it was written by my favorite author so I knew I would have to give it a chance. The storyline hooked me in the first chapter. I could not put the book down. I made the mistake of starting the book at 10 one night and I stayed up until around 3 finishing it. I simply could not stop reading. If I tried to set the book aside and get some sleep I would lay there wide awake, so I knew I had to find out what happened. This was my first suspense book, and I loved it. It keeps you guessing from the beginning. I had a few ideas throughout the book, but that reveal was definitely shocking.
I think JLA did a great job blending the romance with the suspense. If you’re unsure about there not being any romance aspects, don’t worry Jen does not disappoint. The romance between Cole and Sasha hits you right in the feels. Cole is definitely swoon worthy and ranks up there with Daemon and Alec. Overall it was an excellent read that I highly recommend. If you’re a fan of suspense, romance, or JLA give it a shot!!

Oh wow! This was amazing!

So, Jennifer L. Armentrout is another one of those authors who have lived on my TBR for a long time. What happens when I decide to read her for the first time? I pick her newest book which is a departure from what she typically writes LOL Thrillers are not my usual read. But I absolutely loved this (even though I had dreams/nightmares last night from it) :)

In the midst of the murder mystery, we have a swoony second-chance romance between Cole and Sasha. Cole was wonderful and Sasha was such a great heroine! She was strong and brave and I loved her as much as Cole did.

This was a great page turner that kept me on the edge of my seat. There were several possibilities for who was the Groom, and I was totally surprised by the outcome!

*thanks to the publisher for sharing a copy of this with me*

This book is a little different from JLA other books, but no less satisfying. This is a second chance romance with some dark twists thrown in. A little bit thriller, a little bit mystery, a little bit of romance. I think this book managed to have all three in a perfect balance of sweet and nail-bitting-edge-of-your-seat-freaking-out.

It kept me reading, and it kept me guessing and I had a couple of ideas in mind and kept flip-flopping between them and there was that one big surprise there in the middle. That one I didn't expect. Well played, JLA. Well played.

If you only read romances, don't let the thriller side of this book stop you from reading it. There's enough romance and sexy in it to keep you happy. I promise.

This is the sort of book I constantly read before I discovered YA, and I always forget how delicious they are.

I loved Sasha and Cole. She's so strong and determined. I was rooting for her right from the beginning. Cole is a take charge kind of guy, but he supports Sasha perfectly. I truly enjoyed their relationship.

There were a few short chapters from the killer's POV and those were delightfully creepy. I loved the reveals and the twists and the final chapters. Oh, and the epilogue was damn near perfection.

I hope JLA writes more books like this because I'll definitely be reading them.

Another great read from Ms. Armentrout! The story between Sasha and Cole was amazing to read. I literally could not put this book down and I read it in one sitting. There was so much build up in this novel and you are not disappointed at the end. She has an amazing opportunity to heal in this novel after experiencing trauma 10 years prior and watching her growth and the second chance she was given was very satisfying. I have read every book Ms. Armentrout has written and her fans will not be disappointed in this new novel. Definitely recommend!

The romance in this book is quite pleasant. Let's face it: this author could write anything and it'd be awesome. The way she writes... I'm always under her spell.

However this romance/thriller/suspence wasn't as hard as I hoped it would be. It was like a soft version of it. And therefore minus stars. I expected to be knocked down but wasn't (this time).

There are few authors that can create a vast array of stories and characters that are unique and yet somehow feel like old friends at the same time. JLA is one of those rare individuals. Every book she writes stands on its own, but still there is something tucked into each story that connects to you, and grabs at your heart.

With "Till Death", I experienced spine-tingling chills, heart-in-your-throat tension, and ultimately the budding hope of moving on from the past.

This novel is definitely in the thriller category; there were several moments that called to mind an episode of "Criminal Minds" (which I enjoy, although there is something more visceral about the written word as opposed to watching it on screen). But there is also romance. Oh my GOODNESS, is there romance. I don't want to go into too much detail, since I believe you should go into this book with minimal spoilers, but I really enjoyed the second-chance romance. I think there are certain people that come into your life that leave a significant mark, like a fingerprint on your heart, and that is certainly the case between Sasha and Cole. I loved the growth of their relationship throughout the story, and it was woven well with the creep factor.

Overall, I highly enjoyed this novel, and I might not have otherwise picked it up if JLA hadn't written it. Just be sure that when you do read it...leave a light on. And don't go check out any strange noises in the basement.

A favorite quote: "There is nothing about you that is weak. You survived hell and it wasn't just dumb luck. You fought back and you survived. You're a survivor. You earned that title, baby. You OWN it."

While this is different from the rest of Jennifer's work that I have read I loved it just as much. A heroine with more strength than she has ever realized she had. A hero who is the definition of sexy and everything you look for in a man. The twists and turns you never see coming, the realization that she really got you in the end. One click now!

From start to finished I loved this book. The entire time I was curious to know what had happened in the past, but I also was trying to figure out what was going on in the present. It was great seeing how Sasha changed and let her walls down, too. I also thought I knew who was doing what but I was happily wrong! If you love any of Armentrouts other books then you'll love this one too

Till Death was everything I expected, and more. If you haven’t read the book yet, DON’T read ahead!

Okay, you’ve been warned.

So, Sasha was tortured and held captive by “The Groom,” and is now back to her home town 10 years later. You meet her best friend, Miranda, the fun, quirky, and wine loving best friend that has been in contact with Sasha since she left. Then there is Jason, the friend that was sort of left behind once Sasha left town to be able to heal, who is by her side and easily forgiving of her leaving.

Then there is Cole. Bright like the sea blue eyes with a protective attitude to match, he is everything you need in your next book boyfriend. He has done well for himself career wise (and let’s be honest) body wise too, and immediately seeks out Sasha upon hearing about her return.

But when bad things start happening, it’s quickly realized that something isn’t right, and someone isn’t happy about Sasha’s return to her home town. And as much as Cole wants to protect her, there is someone who wants revenge and the finish what was started, but who can it be?

I think JLA did great with the whodunit aspect, also. I had originally thought it was the Mayor, then the coach, but after the Mayor committed suicide I was completely stumped. I had originally thought the book was over, but no, JLA came at fans with a twist that happened so fast, I had whiplash. I hadn’t expected it to be who it was, but once that scene came along, I found myself yelling some choice words because it had been right under our nose this entire time! Talk about stabbing you in the feels and twisting the knife!

Personally, I love JLA books as they never fail to provide her readers with intense suspense, so so many feels, and the romance to match. Typically I’m more of a Sci-Fi gal, but I took a chance on her other non-Sci-Fi books and fell in love. I think what made me love this story even more was the character progression of Sasha. When we first meet her, she seems to be scared from everything, which I mean, it makes sense, but JLA has always been known for her strong female characters, so I was waiting for it to progress, and when it did, IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!

With Sasha it is obvious that she suffers from PTSD from the torture she endured with “The Groom,” and rightfully so. And with Cole, it’s clear (because he states it, and by some actions) that he harbors some serious guilt because Sasha went missing when she went to walk to her car, and he didn’t accompany her.

The thing is, though, that you see Sasha start healing from the trauma as time goes on. She still has nightmares, and handles everything that is thrown at her like a boss, but in the end, she did the impossible (or what she thought was): she wore a wedding gown and a ring. To me that speaks volumes to JLA as a writer and to the readers who have been through any kind of trauma in their life. Although a fictional character, JLA showed that with the right people on your side, you can heal. You can be with someone who cares about you and over time, you can heal and do what seems like the impossible.

If there was one thing I didn’t like about the book I would have to say that it started off a little slow for me, but that’s probably because I’m spoiled with all JLA books that are always action packed.

Aside from that, I would give this book a 5/5 stars as this book nailed it with the romance, character progression, and bringing light to problems that people face in a classy way. Great job, Jen!

Sasha Keeton is a survivor.

10 years have passed since her escape from the serial killer known as The Groom. She must now confront her past as she returns home to help her mum run the family business.

I loved the characters, especially Sasha's mum, strong, supportive and so funny in some parts.

I am a HUGE JLA fan so even though it's not my usual genre, I will always read her books. Till Death is an adult romantic suspense and it does not disappoint. It will keep you guessing till the very end! You might get the "who" or the "why" but you won't unravel everything, at least I didn't!

I received this as an ARC which I have voluntarily read in exchange for an honest review.

Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of those authors for me that I read everything they’ve ever written. I follow her socials and put stars on the days she has new books coming out. So when I was allowed to read an ARC of her new book Till Death for an honest review, I was pumped. I read the book in a day, not able to put it down in my suspense and excitement. And I feel like I finally have processed all my feels, so here it goes.
First off, the book description really confused the hell out of me. I thought it was going to be one of those jilting stories- where an old flame shows up to a wedding and speaks up at the “speak now or forever hold your peace”. Don’t ask me why I thought this, but I did. So imagine my surprise when this wasn’t actually the premise.
Actually, the book is about this triggered woman who comes back home after ten years away to basically confront her past-which includes being the only survivor of a serial killer. Her old flame is there too and, of course, that’s the whole romance part of the book. Giggly cuteness and beautiful smut ensues. (JLA rocks at smut scenes...and I’ve read quite a few of them.)
The plot was definitely original. I mean, a serial killer that obsesses over brides?? Um, very terrifying. I felt like the plot in this book wasn’t some second-rate literary device to sit below the romance, the plot and the romance was nicely balanced. But come on, suspense with a incredibly hot romance? YES
Can we talk about how Sasha, the main protagonist, has legitimately awesome relationships with people other than her love interest, BECAUSE I GREATLY APPRECIATED IT. Also, having her deal continuously with her PTSD was so incredibly real, and I’m all for mental health awareness, so here’s my high-five to Jennifer L. Armentrout for that! *high fives*
Basically, READ THIS BOOK.
