Do-It-Yourself Stitch People

It IS expensive, but a great resource for anyone who is planning on making several. I've made a handful as presents for friends, and they are TRULY touched by this kind of thoughtful (and surprisingly easy to make) gift.

This is an amazing book that will serve x stitchers so well to creat that special, personalized gift for family and friends. And there is a bonus, the inside of the book links you to get additional add-ones and modifications. I would love to see the add on of an ipad for those family members who rarely show their face above the ipad. I can't wait to get started on stitching.

I have been through this book several times and each time I find something I missed before. I already have several portraits in mind and cannot wait to get started. I especially like the samples in the back of the book. It gives me a clear example of how to position each character.

I brought this for my daughter who lives in England as a gift she asked for it specifically. She is a beginner cross stitched who likes to make her own designs. She enjoys making personalized gifts for friends. I think she will find this a very helpful book.

Such a cool product! The patterns are easy to understand and the tips that go with each step truly make the end result look better. Very pleased with the book (haven't looked at the included extra patterns yet) and just finished my first gift from it! :)

Wonderful book. My wife only asked for one thing for her birthday. Stitch People. She loves it. So many wonderful ideas for gifts. She recently got back into cross stitching and wanted to branch out. Stitch people is a great cross stitching pattern book. Totally recommend this to anyone who wants to cross stitch people.

So much fun! This book really streamlines the process of choosing the different parts of a custom cross-stitch portrait. Im starting with my two little boys then making a wedding portrait for my brother. I've already recommended this book to crafty friends :)

Lizzy is most helpful if you ever have any question with your project. I feel like we are developing a friendship and that just doesn't happen very often this day in age. The book is very well written with lots of hints on how to personalize your projects. Money well spent!

Glancing through the book I have come up with many ideas for gifts for my family. So far, I have picked out the floss colors and hope to get started soon. Your charts look very easy to follow and the idea is great !!! I love the section on pets !!

Great manual! Clearly written with many examples and specific instructions. All aspects of cross stitching little people are covered. I'm hooked and in love with this new hobby. Thanks to this book, I jumped straight into it. Though initially I found it a bit expensive when I consider how much I've used it already and how much time I've saved creating pattern, etc. I feel it justifies the price. It is a well organized instructional book. Also, few hobbies are this cheap to get started! Thanks!

Overall, great book. The content is definitely what I expected and is exactly what I was looking for. My only complaints are this: 1) I asked for 1 day shipping and it came late - but I blame that more on the store. 2) the back cover had plasticky splotches on it like something had melted onto the protective covering and then adhered to another piece of paper. The edging of the back cover was also ragged.
So content: great, physical manifestation: not so great...
