My daughter is seven and loves drawing. This book has been very helpful in step by step guides to draw more detailed figures. She has used the book a couple times now. The book is sort of gender-neutral, so I have found that my "girly girl" is only semi-interested in the characters. Overall, it is a great step by step guide and very age appropriate.

Was a Christmas gift, so I just looked through it. I think my granddaughters ages 7 and 10 will be able to get the fundamentals of drawing with it. I wish they wouldn't have put blank practice sheets in it because we will use our own. But, it would be interesting for them to use the practice sheets the first time and then later see how they improved.

This series of "how to" drawing books for kids is very good. I bought these for my granddaughter and they seem to be very understandable for her young age and I see her implementing the drawing stages she has learned in her own free style drawings.

My grandaughter is a budding artist. She enjoys drawing everything. This is the first "people" book I've added to her collection. She is working on it, but people drawing presents more of a challenge than animals, nature, etc.

Great gift, very clear instructions. I bought along with another book and the Royal & Langnickel 124-Piece Sketching and Drawing Easel Artist Set for a 10 year old girl that likes to draw. Can also be for someone older as well.

A good book for my grandson to start learning how to draw people. The drawings in this book are more in regards to cartoon people. But it will still give him a elementary foundation for limb placement and proportions. Each project has 4 steps which build to complete the specific drawing. One drawing, the scuba diver, has a scene as the last step with two fish, bubbles and what appears the be the water's horizon. I look forward to how my grandson handles the challenge. Tracing paper will help with practice without getting discouraged. Practice pages are included opposite the projects but the next project is on the back of that page. I would have given it 5 stars if the practice page could be removed.
