J.L. Bourne tops himself with this latest installment of the DBDA series. His novel places you inside the head of a battle worn survivor who must overcome hordes of zombies and the barbarians of the undead badlands. This book will keep you on edge and you will be unable to put the book down until after the very last page. While reading, I had to check the locks and my surroundings constantly to make sure I was not about to end up on the menu of the undead. Overall a riveting story that leaves you excited for the next novel in the DBDA series.

This installment of DBDA is much like the others, it tells a captivating story of Kilroy's next grand adventure through the end of the world. It builds suspense and wonder. Then, just like Beyond Exile and Shattered Hourglass, it ends in three pages. J.L. Bourne sprints the ends of these marathons and does himself massive injustices.
Tomorrow War: The Chronicles of Max [Redacted] :: Soul Symmetry (Rave Series) (Volume 3) :: Black Crow (The Raven Series) (Volume 2) :: Saving Angel (A Divisa Novel) (Volume 1) :: An Introduction to American Politics (Eighth Essentials Edition)

This story was exciting from the first page to the last. The author is able to engage the reader effortlessly and bring the reader into what feels like a true post apocalyptic zombie filled world. 5 Stars!

Can't say enough good about this series. Real. Gripping. Brutal. Fun. This just makes you want to keep reading. Now that I have had some time to digest what I have read; you can tell Mr. Bourne's writing has improved with each iteration in this series. (My personal favorite was Grey Fox.) I think Ghost Run may have taken the top spot of best book in the series. I hope he continues to write and improve upon his already excellent narrative skills.

If there were an insurance company functioning after the apocalypse, they would label Killroy as the first human "Act of God." If Kill is there, s*** will be exploding, people with unclear motives will be peppering his vicinity with machine gun fire, and you better believe at least one building will collapse in on itself, like the house at the end of "Poltergeist."

The evolution of Kil over these four "journals" has been tragic, heart wrenching, and astonishingly real. As 20 year military man myself I have posited in my own mind what would I do, where would I go and could I make the same brutally logical decisions as Kil. I would like to say yes but like combat one never truly knows how you will react when SHTF. These novels are bloody and horror filled treat for someone like me. Thank you JL and keep up the good fight. Tomorrow War is also an excellent read and warning if I do say so myself.

I admit it. Maybe you have a weakness for chocolate chip cookies or fast cars. I long for zombie fiction. While I have always enjoyed sci-fi, mysteries, and scary movies. I did not know that I was a zombie fiction guy until my daughter gave me Day After Day Armageddon. I would read about sixty pages every night. Then go downstairs again to make sure the doors were locked. It was that scary. Now I'm hooked. And can not wait for the next book to come out.

I was thrilled to see another book in the Armageddon series, I really like these characters. I enjoyed this book so much the problem is it's over. I think there could be more story here, hoping and looking forward to the next installment.

Good book in line with the others. Journal format makes it easy to read and keeps you turning the page. Only gripe I have is that the ending felt rushed like it did in Hourglass. A big build up to a rushed ending.

Buy this book! Buy all of his books! This series just gets better and better. I'm halfway through and the only reason why I have not finished yet is my boss makes me go to work. Most zombie novels lately are pure garbage. Not this one. The writing is amazing and the editing is great! Plus he actually knows what he's talking about when he describes his weapons. Go paper or digital and enjoy the ride!

Amazing, brilliant, entertaining. The king of hardcore zombie fiction paints such a vivid and leave you scared sh1tless picture of the "what if?" zombie scenario that you will catch yourself praying it never happens. I see myself re-reading this series over and over, and can't wait for a sequel ;). Hi JL *waves*

Another spectacular journey through what has become my favorite zombie apocalypse series. J.L. Bourne is a master of Instilling simultaneous fear and aggressive cool, calculated decisions in the character. His attention to detail is remarkable, and as a veteran, I appreciate the military references that bring a smile to my face having not been in that world for quite some time.

Another skillfully crafted written work. The post apocalyptic landscape is again brought to life by Mr Bourne's imagination and skill for putting words to paper. I absolutely enjoy the evolution of this series. Now I'm going to read this book again, because I couldn't help but read it so far as the first time. Please Sir, I implore you to keep giving your readership more Day by day Armageddon... THANK YOU!

NO SPOILERS: J.L. Bourne delivers another excellent post-apocalyptic look into the mind of a survivor of the zombie apocalypse. This book returns to the format of the first book in the series, following our protagonist as he journeys through America. There's an added technological twist that I like, and some intriguing run-ins along the way. I own all four of the DBDA books, and have enjoyed them all.

A great continuation of the series. Couldn't hardly put down, can't wait for the next installment. If you like the genre it is a must read, along with the other books in the series. If you haven't tried a apocalypse/zombie book before J.L. Bourne's books are the place to get started.

Loved this book. Great plot, fast pace and lots of details. Only complaints: too short at 240 pages and you could blink and miss the ending. Both are forgivable as long as he keeps adding to the story.

I have been thoroughly impressed by the DBDA series, I can only hope it continues and we hear more about Kil.
Being an officer in the military, J.L. Bourne does an amazing job bringing military tactics and equipment to life. He is an expert on the subject, and it shows through the writing. I can only hope we have a "Checkers" in the future.
