This story was uniquely written and completely tore me apart. I had lost a loved from from suicide and I have struggled with it as a teen and consider myself a survivor because of what I failed to do. So reading this story has completely wrecked me and yet I couldn’t be more grateful for this author to touch such a taboo subject. I won’t reveal any spoilers, but I will say that Ryan’s Bed is in my top 10 favorite books and well worth the read.

I started reading this as one of Tijan’s WattPad submissions and couldn’t wait to read more.
Ryan’s Bed was nothing like what I’d expect from one of Tijan’s books and yet everything I’d expect from one of her books. Maybe it’s just in the way I FELT all the emotions of Mackenzie through the words I read. I was twisted up in all sorts of balls of emotion. Having finished the book after such a journey I’m left stuck. I’ll be adding this to the list of books I’ll always strongly remember.
Read the synopsis and dive in. I don’t think more introduction than that is necessary. You won’t regret it.

This booked knocked me on my behind, and picked me up, knocked me down - but in the most perfect way. You know that warning "Objects are closer than they appear" on your mirrors … Well things aren't always what they look like is my warning for this book. Although it doesn't need a warning. I felt like I was wrapped in a cocoon with these words and then I'd be stripped bare. Only to return to the cocoon and snuggle deep, then be filleted open. I walked away after finishing this with a new perspective on so many things. If you read one thing, let it be this.

Ryan’s Bed deserves 10 stars. Tijan’s ability to portray a grieving twin’s feelings after her sister committed suicide, and twist my heart up with each word is magic. This story was so raw and so real that it made me feel like I knew Mackenzie and Ryan. My heart hurt through the entire thing for Mackenzie and her whole family. There were moments when I wanted to cheer for her for standing up to these bitches at school and then immediately after, my heart broke all over again when she described where her courage came from. I just can’t even say enough about how amazing this book is. If you haven’t read it yet, please do. If you know someone who is grieving the loss of a loved one due to suicide, you might get a tiny glimpse of what they may be going through from Ryan and Mackenzie. That’s what this book is. It’s education, and love, and strength, and forgiveness. GET IT!!

My first Tijan read and most certainly not the last. I wasn't sure where this book was going at first. But getting into the heartbreak, sadness, love, family destruction and rebirth kept me interested. The strong characters make this a good book.
Twins have a certain bond we don't understand, although they look alike, each have their own unique style and personality. Don't let what you see on the surface fool you. We all hurt, suffer, and learn to deal with death our own way.
I'm really shocked by the ending wishing there were more to read. Excellent book.

This is a great story featuring the aftereffects of suicide. The only reason I didn't rate higher was because at times it really felt like I was reading Fallen Crest; beautiful but doesn't know it troubled new girl meets unrealistically popular guy with money, is bullied but feels dead inside, and despite barely knowing each other they fall into deep, irrevocable Twillight obsessive love.

Tijan writes dysfunctional teenagers like no other!!!! There is a reason why she is my favorite YA author. Her stories are packed full of teenage angst and drama, mean girls, slacking parents, strong females and brooding swoony boys!
This story had it all and then some. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and just when I thought all would be right with the world....she BLEW ME AWAY with that ending!!!!!
I don't want to give it away, just know if you love YA, you will love Tijan. You will love this book. You will love Mackenzie and Ryan!

I honestly don't know exactley what to say... wtf Tijan! How could you do this to me! I am so torn up inside, or it could be the fact that I just read this in 1 sitting and am having hunger pains. I can't tell because of all of the emotions flying thru me right now. And i mean flying literally because they are switching so fast I can't honestly say what I'm feeling! First I really hope there is a sequel! How could... uh... ahhh! I absolutely loved this story. So real, so brutal, and so great. Be careful everyone this will shred you!

Anyone that know me knows that although I read ALOT I rarely leave don’t really have a reason I just don’t lol. But this book hit very close to home for me. As someone who suffers from depression and has had suicidal thoughts I felt like this book was about my life. I was willow the not wanting to get out of bed, pushing people away, feeling alone, even the eating disorder I’ve been through it all. I appreciate this author so much for writing this because depression is such a huge issue and so many people don’t like to talk about it, which usually makes the depressed person feel like they have no one talk to; they are not able to voice their feelings so they keep it bundled up inside. Mackenzie’s story needed to be told and I hope the author continues to tell her story, I feel like there is so much more that we need to know about her especially with that ending.....

WOWWZA!!!!!! This book was amazing! I've read almost all of Tijans books, and have loved them all!! However, this book......I will have all of my friends read this book! it was beautifully written, and the characters were written so poetically.
Mackenzie represents all ladies who go through a tragedy! Tijan, thank you for this book, and the respect you showed for relationships as they went through their grieving process!!
Read this book if you're in search of remorse, grieving (I am, and it helped), or just to simply fall in love more of Tijans writing!!

I absolutely love Tijan as a writer and every book that I have either picked up to read, or listen to on audible I have fallen in love with, but “In Ryan’s bed” was different. It has captured me on a completely different level and I would like to thank Tijan for that! I both cried, laugh, fell in love and went a little crazy along with Mackenzie. Ryan is my all time favorite, he is right up there with Mason from the Fallen Crest series. More Tijan please give me more!

This book is very hard hitting. It takes your heart, tears it out, throws it around, and smashes it back into your chest. It is very dark, but also very Tijan. Mackenzie is so strong, but still vulnerable. Ryan is the classic all American, but has a dark and troubled side. I love this book, the way it brings something that no one talks about to the forefront. It needs to be talked about, and hopefully this book, and others like it, will help those who feel hopeless. Thanks Tijan, for another amazing book.

This book made me speechless, for sure different than the usual books Tijan usually writes. In a good way. I am in awe of how Tijan described the feelings Mackenzie and others felt after a losing someone to suicide. Of course, everyone reacts, copes, and grieves differently but how Tijan was able to describe sone these emotions was just in a way that I felt like I could relate to. Feeling like you have that loved one's presence there, feeling them, hearing what they would of said, etc. Then one day, you can feel them leaving you. Just how Tijan was able to describe loss and grief is just one of many ways people can react.
I think reading this at first I didn't notice Mackenzie was struggling with depression herself. I was reading in a view point of just losing a loved one due to suicide. I HIGHLY encourage you to read this book at least twice. Once because you want to understand the plot line, reactions, and events. The second time so you can really see what people go through grieving a loved one and what people could think and/or feel while being depressed.

I just got finished reading Ryan's Bed! This book left me emotional. This book ruined me, but in a good way and got me thinking about things in my life. This was my second book that I have read from Tijan and Boy! Didn't she deliver! I still have tears in my eyes. I felt everything every emotion that Mackenzie went through, I love Ryan! I think he was the calm after the storm for her. Ugh..just writing this is making me emotional! If you haven't read it yet! Please do! Great job Tijan! I gave this book ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!

I've never read Tijan before, even though she frequently pops up in the "you may like..." suggestions. Ryan's Bed was devastatingly beautiful. I felt that need to be safe beside Ryan. Mackenzie was a true to life character and Willow was a perfect addition. I loved the way the family dealt with the situation and it felt real, devastatingly real. Mackenzie and Ryan are probably my favorite couple this far into 2018. I will adding Tijan to my go-to-author list the next time I need some feels.

Having lost someone recently because of this same thing the book really tugged on my soul. Honestly even if you've never lost someone due to suicide the story will still reach inside and squeeze your heart. Reading the struggle Mackenzie and her family go thru really puts things in perspective. I also really enjoy Ryan and his part of the story. I think all should read this book and honestly it's probably a good one for teens to read. This is one of my top reads for 2018.

This book was stunning. Really. It was devastating. It was healing. It was broken. It was beautiful. It grabbed hold of me and didn't let go, even when I had to take a moment to breathe, even when I had to put it down to do life, and even after I finished those last mind blowing words. Thank you Tijan for continuing to write this book even when you weren't sure if you should. Truly, this was one of my all time favorites. I'm going to need to read it again.

Titan has written an amazingly emotional story and very real in many aspects to what YA are dealing with and that is the issue of suicide. Often times it is pushed way and not dealt with like what happened with MacKenzies family. Ryan is someone who come along and is an anchor for Mac. How will they move through this storm? What will take place next?
Amazing story and not one I would normally read but totally recommend it.

This book kept me reading from the moment I opened it straight through to the end, 8 hour later. Main characters are seniors in h.s. but PLEASE keep reading. Beautifully written around such a very sad and still somewhat taboo subject. The lead characters MacKenzie, Willow & Ryan are young but show strength of character and they continue to grow. All surrounding characters that make up this town and story are crucial and are at times funny but face this situation with their friends.

Every book by Tijan is amazing and this one is... more. I was hooked from page 1 and couldn't stop until I got to the end. The characters in this book were created so brilliantly. I felt like no matter who you are, you can relate to something in this book. From beginning to end, this book is deeply emotional and there are moments that will break your heart. But all the pieces come together and the healing feels so real it's almost a tangible thing. Amazing job Tijan, I loved it.

Absolutely loved it! The characters draw you in and tug at your heart strings. It was an emotional ride from start to finish. I loved Ryan and how patient and sweet he was with Mac. They were the healing power that both of them needed. It was also full of teenage angst with the different clicks and the rivalry, never a dull moment! It really showed the pain and recovery of all characters involved! The ending still has be thinking about it and I read the book a few weeks ago!

I started reading this when it was just the chapters being shared. Once it came out, I bought it and had to read right through to the end. Loved the story-line and the characters. The ending surprised me ,not what I expected at all. What great writing. Well worth the money spent. Tijan has never let me down since I started reading her books.I've read every one of her series and I haven't found one that didn't reel me in. I keep watching and waiting for the next one !!

This book left me with a feeling that’s indescribable. I’ve had a family member commit suicide and I know the emptiness that I felt. I couldn’t imagine losing a twin or even a sibling. Reading about Mackenzie and Ryan’s stories had me experiencing so many emotions right along with them. To deal with such a tragedy all while dealing with so many teenage issues....I can’t imagine. Tijan this was absolutely the best book I’ve read. Thank you

This book destroyed me. In the best and toughest way to swallow. I have three sisters, but no twin, and still this book affected me deeply. I loved every second of Mac's story, even the parts that were hard to swallow. This story made you feel all the types of things you were afraid to feel. I fell in love, I went to war, I broke, I was put back together, and I broke again over and over. There were many times I thought about putting this story down... Take a break from the heavy and come back. But I couldn't. I followed Mackenzie and Willow all the way to the end. And I won't lie... I was left raw and open. I felt like all breath had lost my body and I cried until I couldn't cry anymore. I felt everything.
This book is something beyond words. It's real, it's hard, It's relatable, it's everything we don't talk about. Thank you Tijan for sticking with this story and making the leap to publish it. I'm forever greatful that you did.
I would also love a sequel to this book. I know there isn't one planned... But Mac's story isn't over and I would follow her anywhere.

As always Tijan delivers. I love love love this book. I love Mackenzie and Ryan and how they deal with their loss. I am a little sadden that there won’t be more of them but love the way the book leaves you wanted more. As a social worker for teenagers suicide is a huge issue. I am happy to see the issues of bullying, grief and self worth addressed in this book. Hopefully we can get more Ryan and Mackenzie and a book for Cora and Kirk.

So many twist and turns in this book. The surprise at the end shocked me . I am so sad there won’t be a continuation. I will have to reread it with the knowledge I gained from the last page. Wow! What a shocker. I hate having a cliffhanger.? I did enjoy the story and I love the authors writing. She makes the heroine so strong even in the darkest moments . So happy I continued reading to see how it all goes. Please make a sequel !!!

High school life is hard. The struggles, cliques, the expectations. Its just hard. This book, wow, i really dont have the words to express how i feel after the final sentence. It's so real. The writing of this story is so real, i could close my eyes and see a classroom, a hallway, a screened porch. I felt so many emotions that they shocked me. I highly recommend this book and if i could give it more stars i would!

This book did remind me of Sam and Mason, so if you love their story, you’ll love this one too. The male characters aren’t as hard core and the girls aren’t as ruthless. It also reminded me a little of her book Home. Again all Tijan’s books are incredible. Make sure to read the author note, it was touching too.
