I love this series! I unfortunately haven't had the chance to read Nova yet but the other two I have read were amazing.

Penna is the only original girl Renegade and after a serious injury, she's not herself and isn't sure if this lifestyle is for her anymore. When she sneaks off to Vegas to try and get her groove back, she meets the very sexy Cruz.

Cruz ends up base jumping with Penna when her original partner falls through, even though they're strangers, they both felt a connection and trust in the other person to be safe on this crazy stunt.

They never even exchanged names and never thought they'd see each other again but fate had other plans for these two. When Cruz becomes Dr. Delgado, Pennas new teacher, things become even crazier. The chemistry and attraction they have is hot and the fact they can't act on it, makes it even hotter.

But how long can these two withstand temptation without giving in? Especially when they're thrown together almost everyday? Gah I just loved these two and can't recommend this book enough.

Rebecca Yarros slam dunks another adrenaline-thrill Rendgades novel. I was hooked in the first ten pages. Wasn't sure what to expect from the one Renegade girl known for extreme stunts who's on the recovery after an attack in the last novel (from her sister). What's amaze-balls about this book is the balance between Penelope's (Penna) need for the adrenaline craziness of motorbike/base jumping/ or whatever insane stunt she'd doing and her inner falling apart. Done quite well.
Enter Cruz, hottie hot of Cuban hotness, who in the first chapter sees Penelope needs him and does a seriously stupid stunt with her. He becomes off limits as her teacher. I'm not a fan of teacher-student relationships and even though I think the author did a great job with this I still got a bit of the willies over it. What's nice is establishing the characters as having a solid connection before they realized they were teacher-student. The being found out might be inevitable, but it's what happens afterward that is worth the read. Seriously, grab this book. Who cares if you missed the others. This one's a winner.

A series about best friends who are constantly chasing that extreme rush. The faster the better, the crazier the stunt and more death defying the better the odds.

Rebel is beautiful, fearless and can't let go of what she left behind in Vegas. Will she ever be able to move forward?

If Cruz thinks a teaching stint on a Semester at Sea will be a piece of cake, he hasn't met the Renegades. Just when he thinks he's able to work on the real reason he took the job, his one crazy night in Vegas will catch up with him.

Would you risk everything for love? This story tackles friendships, family and death defying opportunities that will wrap around your heart and stay with you long after the last page.

t’s time for one last adventure on the high seas to chase the adrenaline rush and complete another wild stunt. Do you have what it takes to be a Renegade? These characters have found a special place in my heart, they are wild, fearless and full of passion.

*Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in return for an honest review.

I had a fantastic time reading this book, discovering a new author (even though this book is part of a series it can be read as an standalone) and touring around the world with The Renegades. Those guys are always followed by drama, but what a way to live they have. I learnt a couple of things about Latin american countries thanks to the author, and visited my country (Venezuela) with Penna and her friends to practice BASE jumping in the most larger waterfall in the world. It was exciting to see that places through the characters eyes. I'm trully grateful with the author for sharing such special place as the Salto Angel with her readers.

The narrative rythm, the descriptive level and the chemistry between the characters made of this book an amazing experience. I'll be checking out the other books in the series soon. I hope you decide give a try to this story. If you're a romance lover and you fancy extreme sports, then this book is for you.

Wow, just wow.
Rebel by Rebecca Yarros is the third book in The Renegades Series. Rebel can easily be read as a standalone. There are only a few cross-overs. The other books in the series are Wilder, book one; and Nova, book two.
This is Penna and Cruz's book.
Penelope- Penna- Rebel- Carstairs is the only female meber of the original Renegades. After the horrible accident in Dubai she slowly puts her life back to gether. And then she meets Cruz. They have this crazy insta-connection and they're reckless, more reckless than Penna alone.
They separate but fate has other plans. He's her new professor at college. They date in secret and are happy together. But Cruz Delgado has his own agenda, a big secret.
This NA book has everything in it, drama, danger, adrenaline rush and much more.
I loved the characters and I loved the writing. I give 5 stars and recommend the the book and the series. Thank you Rebecca Yarros!

This might be my favorite Renegades book!
Penna Carstairs or Rebel, has no been my favorite Renegade... that is until now.

Penna has been dealing with a lot. Her sister's craziness, her friends all gorging u and finding girlfriends and most of all, her leg injury. Now she is on the mend physically but needs to heal mentally to get back to being Rebel.

Her first stop in doing this, is to do a crazy stunt without The Renegades. She ends up base jumping in Vegas and meeting someone who would change her entire wording the process.

Cruz Delgado knows nothing of Rebel, but the second he meets her, he is hooked. They start off crazy and then things turn from crazy to crazier when he becomes her teacher on the cruise.

Nothing is more wrong then a teacher. student relationship. But it never seemed more right either.

Rebecca Yarros' Renegades are not to be missed! I really enjoyed Wilder, loved Nova, and couldn't wait for Rebel. I may have a new favorite RY read, well, a second favorite.

Rebel is Penna's story and I couldn't wait to see what was in store for this Renegade. Penna is trying to get back that something that's been missing since her injury. When she encounters Cruz, there's an undeniable attraction. With some added twists, the pages will keep turning to see just what happens next with Cruz and Penna. We travel around South America, making our way towards Cuba, with action, romance, and secrets in the forefront.

Yarros ends her Renegades trilogy with a very satisfying conclusion. I truly enjoyed each of the three books in this trilogy and am a little sad to say good-bye.

The best thing about 'Rebel' is its heroine, Penna, I adore her character. I loved reading about such a vibrant and dynamic woman, who is rebellious, daring, as well as, loving and caring. Of course, I loved Cruz too. They are both perfect for each other and their story is too good to miss. So I'd definitely recommend it to all my fellow readers.

This book is very intriguing. The story starts in a way that just pulled me in and I was simply unable to put it down. Penna is going to do something very daring but now she doesn't have a partner for her stunt. That's when Cruz comes into the picture. They thought they'd never see each other again. But they thought wrong and fate has something else in mind. They are both attracted to each other. It's a forbidden romance you simply can't help but love.

ARC provided by Netgalley in exchange for a review.

Wow. This book was actually a lot different than I thought it would be. I didn't see the suspense subplot coming when I started the book and I liked that it was different than the other two novels in this series. I did enjoy reading this book, but I thought maybe there was a little too much going on? I don't know. I might have to read it again because as I was reading this book, I kept putting it down and picking it back up. It didn't really keep me as engaged as I would have liked but that could also be because this book seemed somewhat longer than the other books in this series, and I thought it dragged in the beginning.

Overall, I really liked this book. It just wasn't my favorite out of the series.

Rebel is book 3 in The Renegades series by Rebecca Yarros. I am a huge fan of her writing because she hits you right in the feels every time.

Rebel is the only girl in a group of daredevils and she is a bad ass. She has defied all gender barriers and doesn't let anything hold her back. Cruz is a man she met a bar and had a fling with. He is irresistibly hot with lickable abs and he doesn't let her dangerous job get in the way of his feelings for her. He doesn't tell her she has to quit. The only thing that really stands in their way is the fact that he's her professor making their romance forbidden.

I seriously didn't want this story to end and I am sad that it is the last book in this series. I have loved this series so much!

I Voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book
This books begins with Penna (Penelope) lost and a little broken. She doesn't really know where she fits in anymore and isn't sure if being a Renegade is for her.

When she meets Cruz Delgado at a bar in Las Vegas, there is an instant attraction. One that sets your skin on fire and leaves you breathless. Thinking they will never see each other again after their hot night together, they were both in for a shock when it turned out that Cruz... is her new professor.

They try as hard as they can to keep their distance and to just be student and teacher, but their attraction is one they can't deny. It's one that neither of them has ever felt before.

I expected a student/teacher romance, which happens to be one of my favorite romance tropes. What I got was so much more. The characters were so well written. I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed reading a female lead character so much. The story was much more than just student/teacher. It was so original and it will definitely take you through tons of emotions. This book was so bittersweet for me. This was such an amazing conclusion to a series, but I am so sad to see the end of a series that I have absolutely loved.

Rebecca never fails to write engaging and poignant stories and this one was no different. This entire series is definitely a one-click series. I can't wait to see what she brings us next.

Loved, loved, loved!!! I always know I'm going to get a great story when I pick up a Rebecca Yarros book but this one exceeded my high expectations! A forbidden love, fears to overcome, long term plans to fulfill, and a bit of suspense combine to give us one of the best books of the year. Penna and Cruz will grab your attention from the very first page and will keep you turning page after page. I absolutely couldn't put this one down. This is the third book in the series and is easily read standalone although I do think you really enjoy it more if you've read all the books and already know many of these characters. Put this on the must read list! I highly recommend it.

This was a great conclusion to a wonderful and exciting series! Rebel is trying to get back to herself after things that happened in the first book of this series. She meets Cruz one night and they hit it off. However, their fun night was short lived and neither gets the other's information. They go their separate ways until Cruz turns out to be Rebel's professor. Cruz is fighting for something and being with Penna could ruin that. Penna has a hard time forgetting Cruz but doesn't want anything to happen to him. This book is full of adventure and has several turns you don't see coming. I will miss all the Renegades but I wasn't disappointed in how everything turned out!

Cruz sometimes has good intentions like setting boundaries that probably won't stick, “you stay over there. I’ll stay over here,” I said. She simply arched an eyebrow at me. I swallowed. “I’m your teacher. You are my student.” There are times Cruz thinks he's stepped into an alternate universe, "holy * ***, it was like I was back in college, except I’d gone to college through night classes and online courses while I was in the military full-time, so I’d never had this level of drama to contend with." I really liked this book, I loved it when Cruz lost his temper to me those were the entertaining parts.

Rebel is a smart, adventurous, sexy read. Third in the Renegades series, it's the story of Cruz Delgado and Penna Carstairs also known as Rebel. They are both intelligent, driven, caring, sexy characters. The story is smartly written, with touch of mystery and the forbidden. The rest of the Renegades add to plot and the togetherness and commitment of the group. Rebel is a fantastic and recommended read. Even though this is a standalone, I would suggest reading Wilder and Nova first to get a better understanding of the group and characters as a whole.

“Well, this was either the beginning of an epic love story or a horror movie. Either way, I was committed.”

I was given this book as ARC by Netgalley and the Publisher (thank you!)

This was my second book by Rebecca Yarros, first being Full Measures which I have absolutely adored (I do recommend that book to anyone who hasn’t read it before!). I did not read the previous books of this series, but I found that it did not impact the storytelling as the author mentioned tidbits about everyone and what had happened before.

What interested me at first about Rebel was its synopsis. It had all the elements that I love:
 Forbidden romance, especially teacher/student
 Sports related
 A group of tight-knit friends

So if you seek all of the above, look no further.

Our heroine, Penelope Carstairs, otherwise known as Rebel to the world because of her rebellious streak and demolishing every gender barrier known to sports and Penna to her close friends, is an X-treme sports athlete. She’s one of the four “originals” of a group called Renegade, who are internationally known for pulling stunts no one dares to do.

She was in an accident prior to this book, caused by someone close to her. So during this book, we see how she copes with the aftermath of this accident and betrayal and how she finds her true self again.

Our hero, Cruz Delgado, otherwise known as Dr. Delgado to his colleagues and half of his students – the male half - and Dr. Delicious to the other half – yes, you guessed it, to the female half. He, like everyone else in the world, has some skeletons in his closet. All his life, he had planned to save someone special to him. Every single of his actions were planned, until he met Penelope…

“I wasn’t reckless by nature – far from it. I played life like the chess game it was, more than aware of the consequences of my actions seven moves from now, maybe it was knowing that I was leaving tomorrow for the next few months, or I could have lied and told myself it was for the thrill. It wasn’t. it was for her – this phenom of a woman I’d barely met an hour ago.”

The hero and heroine meet at the bar of a hotel in Las Vegas. Quickly after they meet, Rebel convinces Cruz to illegally BASE jump of a Ferris wheel. Now, before this book I did not know what a BASE jump was. So I had to google some of the stunts pulled by the characters in this book and I found myself watching tons of videos related to x-treme sports on YouTube all night.

Less than 12 hours after the beginning of the story, a BASE jump, a heavy make-out session, and a trip to the police station later, our hero and heroine parted ways without a simple goodbye and not knowing each other’s last name.

As fate will have it, they meet again… In a classroom on a cruise boat, with him being the teacher and her being the student. There begins their adventure… What could happen on a boat with university students, a tight-knit group of friends prone to adrenaline and near-death experiences? Well, I will not giveaway the story, you should simply read it.

However, I have a few complaints.

First of all, after they have been dating for 4 days, the hero tells his sister that he would risk his life for her. However, when his sister asks him if he is in love with her, he replies that it is too early to think about love. I don’t know about you guys but if I am willing to risk my love for someone, I sure as hell know that I love them.

“I would risk my life for her. Hell, I already have.”

Secondly, I loved the interactions between the four originals and we barely had any. I understand due to the backstory it might have been tough to work it in and maybe if I have read the previous books I would have had more chance to see the four together, but I bet I still would have craved for more in this book.

Finally, like I said I love forbidden romance novels. Unfortunately, I found this one a bit downplayed. Besides from all the needed secrecy and one scene, I did not feel the forbidden part of this romance. It felt like their status as teacher and student were just a background information and not a vital part of this story.

Overall, I give this book solid 4 stars. I had to take away one star because of not feeling the forbidden romance part. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a mild forbidden romance, with a sports background and a group of tight-knit friends.

PS: I absolutely adored the epilogue. I applaud the author for not immediately giving them the picture perfect life but making it resemble true life with all its difficulties and challenges.

The Renegades series is everything I'm not. Yet, it is by far one of my favorite series...ever. The whole gang, Pax, Nova, and Rebel, they just had me from the first pages of their stories. In this case of Penna and Cruz, they were wonderfully developed characters that I couldn't get enough of. Their journey was epic and their happy ending one of my favorites. Much like Wilder, I couldn't put down Rebel. I allowed it to consume me. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I loved that Cruz was masculine yet supportive. Rebel/Penelope was a strong, but vulnerable female character. I loved that the whole Renegade crew were a huge part of the story. I enjoyed the romance, drama and suspense.

Rebel was a great ending to the Renegade series. If you know any background information about the author, she always finds ways that incorporates her personal life, which I think is awesome.

The story of Penna and Cruz shows the everyday struggles of a real life couple and how far you will go for your loved ones.
