Some typos. You can tell this is a new writer. At first glance seems like a want a be Fifty Shades knockoff. Both inexperienced virgin girl vs sex-god older man. Both set in Seattle. Both men wealthy beyond measure and domineering in behavior. Twist at the end has me intrigued enough to venture into book 2. We shall see...

I'm very surprised by all the good reviews! Guess this just wasn't for me! Alek was obsessed with Sara, but not in a good way. Always verbally, sometimes physically abusive, if you ask me. He tells her how to dress, who to be friends with, installs a security system in her apartment without her consent, buys her a car. All within a few weeks of knowing her. Constantly, through the entire book, he'd get angry with her, then he'd get scary. She'd then act upset with him, but then would go along with him. Then she'd end up getting intimate with him. This happens too many times to count. He had no redeeming qualities. Not really sure this should be in the romance section.

Did I read the same book as everyone else? Seriously, where are the 4 and 5 stars coming from? This book was seriously "On the Nose". Sara is RUDE and STANDOFFISH and immature plus a virgin at 26 (whose not waiting for marriage) is so implausible. Alek is an overbearing, entitled jerk. There is NOTHING redeemable about either of these characters. The entire story is repelling, well, when I say entire, I couldn't get through more than 30% and that was skimming. Always a bad sign if you skim let alone so early on in the book. This premise has been DONE TO DEATH and this is a poor imitation at best. I'm sorry to the author for being so harsh but it's obvious (to me) that you have some talent as a writer but I feel you overwrite the character's thoughts instead of letting the reader get emotionally attached. And (for me) I need some originality. Capture my interests with your vision, words and wit. Good luck in the future.

....Welp, picture in your head the worst book ever written, then run it through a shredder. Pick up the pieces and haphazardly glue them back together. For good measure, smear the new glued book in poo.

Addicted is worse than this.

It started out nice and interesting. Sara moved to Seattle with her friend to start a new life. They went out to have drinks but Sara gets really drunk and meets a guy. The next morning she wakes up with said stranger and doesn't remember the night before. Ok here is were it leaves me in a mind blog drunk..... She has had something to happen to her as in her past either stalker/abuser/rape some time in her life.
So now, she is a virgin at 26 years old and gets blind drunk and don"t remember anything. This guy(Alek) is a gentleman to her and didn't take advantage of her condition at the time by mistaking her saying she wanted him as her first. He thought she meant first one night stand and not first time at having sex. This guy ends up being her protector from everything by installing an alarm system and showing up where she might be drinking to make sure she is safe. Sounds good right? No, because he is a billionaire and they describing him being so handsome in so many ways throughout this entire book. Sara gets flustered every time he is around until he makes demands on her then she get fiesty. He has already fell for her and trying to wait until she feels the same. When she does at the end of the book a bombshell drops and she leaves him after her first time. So you need to buy the next book to find out what the hell is going on. Well, I don't care what happens because I got tired of reading about how attractive he is on every page.
Storyline: 3 Heat: 2 Overall: 3 (I'm being nice) Recommend: No

I found this through Kindle Unlimited, such a great read, I don't believe I have read anything by S. Nelson but I will have to be sure, a lot of these author names kind of sound the same or very similar ... lots in the brain-O! any who ... I was so excited to read it ... was all into it and then I get to the end ... cliffhanger ( I know, I know that kills the review ...) but what killed it for me ... is now I have to book 2 more books for $2.99 each ... why would 1 be on Kindle Unlimited and the other 2 are not ... I have not plan on buy 2 more books ... I already pay $9.99 a month of Kindle Unlimited ... oh well ... I will end the series in my mind and how I want it to end. so sad 2 see that. I wish they were on Kindle Unlimited as well. sad face. : ( Maybe when I have extra doe laying around ... I might, just might buy them. but that is not happening any time soon. Why do authors do this to me? don't they realize ... I already pay for Prime through the store, then Kindle Unlimited ... you gotta watch you monthly doe you pay folks, I mean come on??! be reasonable. I will not allow this issues to mess with my star review, but I wonder if it should??

Since the synopsis is so good it seems a bit redundant for me to do my usual summary so I'll just give my thoughts.
I really enjoyed this book and I just couldn't read it fast enough.
I read the reviews beforehand and while most are good some are not and I have to say that I agree with most of them in some way.
Firstly the writing, it's not brilliant I have to admit and it felt off at times, the conversations and reactions didn't always seem quite right.
Sara, she's been through so much and she's so strong at times but she didn't always come across as a twenty-six year old woman.
Alex, I loved him but there's obviously a lot more going with him than we realise.
Why with all the names available would the author pick Alek and Alexa for two of the main characters, I know this isn't a major point but it annoyed me.
I know this review seems negative and this book isn't without its faults but as I've said I couldn't read this fast enough and I can't wait to start the next one, I read purely for enjoyment and sometimes it's all about how much you simply enjoy a book and this really, really worked for me.
Now there's also a huge cliffhanger which as a rule I hate but I'd already checked that the rest of this trilogy was available so that wasn't an issue.

received in exchange for a honest review.

I am on the fence here. The story is fascinating. Some aspects freaky with the ending and Alek with his mysterious ways but overall interesting.I think Alek’s sister has something to do with Sara’s past that we aren’t privy to yet that holds her back and Alek’s stuff in his closet that freaks Sara out.

The writing is strong and some of the characters are endearing Sara I am on the fence about. She is strong at times but irritating as well. She can be fun and sweet but stubborn and irritating to. Alek is sweet and protective but you wonder why.Why is he overprotective? What happened to his sister? Does she have something to do with his actions?

The story is about Alek and Sara. Sara moves to Seattle when trying to run from her past. A past that haunts her and I really believed is tied to Alek’s sister. Aleks pull towards Sara is mind boggling. What pulls him to her? Why is he so fascinated by her? We really have this as a mystery? She is sassy to him he is amused. She is argumentative, he smiles. She yells at him and pushes him away he finds it cute. It’s mind boggling and sweet at the same time.

Their coming together is a smathering of hot and cool. He is hot and she can be rather cool in her actions. When he is in control wowza. How they came about is interesting but the ending will really blow your mind. Really she doesn’t let anyone talk she let’s emotions take over and this can be bad. I hope she does settle down and we get to get more of a background of Alek and Sara. What happened to sara? Why did Alek do what he did? And what is it about Sara that now has Alek wanting to settle down with someone? What happened to Alek’s sister and how is she tied to Sara?

The book and the romance is nicely written and keeps you reading. The book is a nice quick read with quirks and twists and turns that will have you have the jaw to the ground.

I was very disappointed in this book. If you prefer no spoilers, stop here, because I will be discussing book details.

It seems Alek's only redeeming qualities are his looks and his money, because his character and motivations are disturbing. He's demanding, overbearing, controlling, and a stalker. He also has a habit of grabbing the female protag, Alexa, by the hand/arm whenever he wants to direct or restrict her movement. Needless to say, it set off a number of alarm bells in my head. He hit just about all the checkmarks on the "Is this relationship abusive?" checklist on the National Domestic Violence Hotline website.

Alexa for her part, comes off as a bit of an idiot. She clearly has some sort of traumatic event in her past, as evidenced by her nightmares. (I suspect some form of abduction, but am not invested enough in the plot or characters to continue reading past book 1). And yet... her behavior in the face of that is almost suicidally reckless and naively trusting, not to mention wishy-washy. Each time she sets a limit for Alek, he strolls right over it and she backpedals.

By the end of book one, Alek has insinuated himself deeply into her life: he knows where she lives, where she works, where she hangs out... He's bought her an alarm system for her apartment (the same as his, and a company he paid to have install, so I assume he also has codes/access rights), he bought her an expensive car with GPS (which would allow him to track her movements), he's disparaged her friends to her face and tried to separate her from them emotionally and physically. And then... she finds that he has a dossier on her in his closet, full of years' worth of photographs.

Her leaving him at that point was when I shouted "finally!" Up to then, I'd resisted the urge to chuck the book only because I use the Kindle app and wasn't looking to have to replace my phone.

If you liked 50 Shades and you can suspend your disbelief and accept an unhealthy relationship in a plot, then you might enjoy this. I personally found myself wanting to shake Alexa until she woke up and filed for a restraining order. And maybe a permit to carry.

I’ve read all 3 books and they’re decent. It’s an easy read and there are some really good and enticing storylines and situations. BUT, the author was clearly influenced by the Fifty Shades of Grey series because there are endless parallels, sometimes it even feels like borderline plagiarism or copyright infringement. It’s because of this that I would constantly be pulled out of her storyline because she mirrored it off Fifty Shades too often and too much. It slows down over each book and by the third there are far fewer comparisons and it was easier to enjoy. Not the greatest writing out there, but if you can look past that and the uncomfortably too close parallels to Fifty Shades you’ll enjoy these books.

I'm still getting through this book. I may update this review later. If I don't chuck it out the window. This book would be the b*strd love child of 50 Shades and the Crossfire series (Sylvia Day), except not nearly as interesting because the plots are essentially ripped off from both those series. The beginning is so rushed that I can't even get a feel for the characters. There is no real character development to speak of. Everything is very contrived and I cannot connect to these characters at all.

Examples:

1. Disgustingly rich young dude meets innocent woman in the shop she works at.
- The difference between this and 50 Shades is that Christian and Ana met before the meeting at the store. But the outcome is still the same, if not over exaggerated.

2. They both have a dark past that suggests abuse.
- Not any different from the Crossfire series so far.

3. Disgustingly rich dude buys the girl a new Audi. Girl protests and tries to give it back.
- In 50 Shades, Christian bought Ana a new Audi. Ana protests and tries to give it back.

4. Girl moves to Seattle and meets disgustingly rich dude.
- in 50 Shades, Ana moves to Seattle
- in Crossfire, Eva moves to NYC

5. Girl lives with her bestie who is wildly oversexed.
- in 50 Shades, Ana lives with her bestie who is wildly oversexed.
- In Crossfire, Eva lives with her bestie who is wildly oversexed.

Gee I can't WAIT to see how this turns out. *rolls eyes*

Seriously, need more originality here folks. It's hard to keep me captivated if I'm reading the same stuff over again. I'm at least going to finish the book to give it the benefit of the doubt. But I wouldn't recommend.

Addicted – Releases tomorrow! May 11th!
S. Nelson
Sara Hawthorne has lots of secrets that she is desperate to escape. She and her best friend Alexa pack up everything they owns and moves across the country to Seattle after closing her eyes and pointing on a map. A new start and the nightmares will end – right? All Sara wants is a normal life; normalcy. Everything seems to be going her way until a gorgeous stranger walks into her newly acquired flower shop, turning her world upside down. And why is it that after meeting this handsome man the nightmares come back. The worst ones; the ones she fears the most when the sun goes down and she lays her head to try and find peace.

Although Alek Devera is not the relationship type, everything changes once he comes face to face with Sara. Never having met someone quite like her, he starts to question everything he knows. But Sara threatens the secret he has been hiding for years. Promises he made could destroy them both.

Again never to spoil your journey through the pages of your one clicks I wont say much more. However I will tell you this will be a fantastic series to grab up. I don’t know how many are in the works but I do know it has been said that book two is just around the corner due out in June. The book does backtrack after Chapter 1 but just for a short bit and let me tell you its genius!
Im BUSTING at the seams to see what in the heck is going on. I thought I had it figured out but by the last page I was banging on my Kindle wishing and wanting more. I have not had the pleasure until reading Addicted to read any of S. Nelson’s books but let me tell you I have been missing out. This one is fantastic! I loved every minute of it. The last few pages I had to read more than once to just make sure I was really reading what I was; it was THAT good.
Excellent read friends!
5 stars!

Blatant Fifty Shades rip off, with the exception that Fifty Shades has a plot. Seattle. Virgin. Possessive, controlling, mercurial billionaire. Buys her an AUDI. If you are going to copy the story, at least be original in the details.

I won't get into the writing. Let's just say the author would benefit from a few creative writing courses. The sentence structure is very stilted and sometimes hard to follow. While that normally wouldn't influence my rating of a book, it did set the tone early on by hindering my enjoyment of the book. In reflection, this was strike one for me.

The first 40% or so is just mind numbingly boring. It's her day to day life and although the Prologue introduced us to the "hero" (that termed is used LOOSELY) we still know nothing more about him by halfway through the book than we did on the first page, and neither does the heroine. Their chemistry is non-existent. It was insta-love in full glory and since the characters are so flat to begin with, I had a very hard time connecting to anything. Strike two.

Once I began to pick up on all the similarities between this and "Fifty Shades", well strike three. I'm done. I finished out the last 50 pages or so, simply skimming to refrain from reading the mundane, and to see what this "EPIC" cliffhanger was. Predictable is what it turned out to be.

Recommended for no one.

I enjoyed this book, I like how strong, assertive, and dominant Alek is, he shows Sara so much attention and is always trying to take care of her and make sure she is safe. I like Sara, she is sweet, sassy, and a loyal friend. I like reading about their times together, her best friend Alexa seems like she would be a ball of fun to go out partying with, I don't trust Matt completely, I think he does like Sara. I do think it seems like his affection for her is fast but I love how he takes care of her when she is sick, it is so loving. I cannot figure out Alek's connection to her past. My heart is breaking for her and I cannot wait to hear both of their stories from the past.

I don't know how I feel about this book. On one hand, I think it's pretty good but on the other hand, I just couldn't get over the "control he had and she allowed him".. I am certainly undecided if I want to read the book 2 or not because I was angry the whole time I was reading the book 1. I don't mind the dominant nature of Alek. I just wish she stood up to him better and firmer instead of give in to him just because she was so attracted to him. I just wished she had a stronger character. I might read book 2 just to see if it's better..

First thing first, I could not put this book down! The story will keep you caught up in what is going on between Alek and Sara!
Sara and Alek are the main characters. Both are hiding something from their past but there attraction to each other is immediate neither ever feeling this way Sara is cautious while Alek trying not to push her before she is ready. She is his she just doesn't know it yet.

Sara moved to Seattle to get away from her past with her best friend Alexa and lands a sweet job. She is actually in the process to buy the florist shop she works at and is so excited. Alek owns half of Seattle! Alek rich and desirable while Sara has what she needs and okay with that. His wealth gets to her not really feeling like she fits into his world. He will get bored and move on but she would stay for the ride however long that lasts.
Things are going good. He is a bit over protective with her safety which irritates her but she goes with it. Alek always gets what he wants. Alek has this way about him that makes her basically weak at the knees. Alek's feelings for her are overwhelming he can't get enough of her and he makes sure she is safe at all times. Her safety is everything to him.

Sara becomes very sick and allows Alek to take care of her, by allowing him to take care of her she moves into his house. She likes that in this moment everything feels complete and right. She is in awe but what comes next is definitely not something you see coming. Come join Sara and Alek on their journey. I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT BOOK TO COME OUT AND YOU SHOULD ALL BE AS WELL!!!!

Unquestionably a must read and recommended for 18+. You definitely don't want to miss this series.

Addicted turned out to be quite a mysterious read for me. I knew there would be romance and sizzle, but the amount of intrigue and hidden puzzle pieces of the story came a bit unexpectedly.

With this being my first book from this author, I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. I loved the writing style. The story had a nice and easy flow. Once I began, I quickly became Addicted to the characters and to finding out the path their lives were taking and the different roles everyone played in Sara’s life.

Sara is ambitious in the business sense, but seems cautious and pretty reserved in everyday life. Alek has a dominating presence. He wants, he gets. He is also very overprotective and outright demanding which annoyed me at times. However, once I reached the evil cliffhanger, I was feeling that he may have good reason for being that way when it comes to Sara.

I’m very anxious to see where this storyline is headed. I have my suspicions, so it will be interesting to see if I have fit a few puzzle pieces together already.

Bring on Volume Two!

Absolutely grabbed my attention and held it. Well written with many hints of things yet unexplained.
But it really isn't a true book, just the first chapters of a good book. It's really irritating when what should be one book is divided into several for what seems the only reason is to charge more.
Since it is a Kindle version I can't figure out how many pages, but it wasn't many. Maybe 100?
Just plain irritating that it's not a complete book and no way of knowing that until the end.

The story was entertaining but a cliffhanger!! Kindle "Unlimited" my ass! I get so tired of paying every month for unlimited reading. But I get stuck with a book listed in unlimited to find that it is just a tease to get me to spend more money to read the (not one but
two) more books to buy to finish the story!. Should be listed as KINDLE NOT REALLY UNLIMITED!!!!!

Sara started over her life in Seattle with her best friend. She just got approved for a loan to be able to buy out the floral business that she is currently working at since the owner is retiring. One day at work, a customer walks in. She looks up and its instant attraction. He orders some flowers and on went the day as usual. Sara decides to go out to a club with her two BFFS and wakes up the next morning completely hungover. She's not alone in her bed. Its the hottie from the flower shop!! Hottie's name is Alek and come to find out hes quite wealthy and owns like half of Seattle. The title of this book says it all. I was addicted from the second I started reading. I can't wait for the next book!

Ends on a cliffhanger

Definitely want to read the next one, there is a lot going on in the background of this story but I have no clue what yet. On the surface this is a cute romance story yet there are a lot of unexplained things that I can't wait to find out. Really a toss up trying to rate this between 3 and 4 stars. Wish the first book had a little more of the secrets revealed. Great story, well written and excited for the next one.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book and was eager to get the second! I was bummed that #2 & #3 weren't available on Kindle Unlimited, especially considering each book, except the last, ended in a cliffhanger! All in all, three books for around $6 isn't a bad deal! All in all, I really enjoyed the plot as well as the characters and thought the author did a really good job executing the story. If you like a little suspense, mystery, and intrigue coupled with scorching hot chemistry that so many of us can only dream about, then this series has it all and won't disappoint! Sara and Alex will pull you in, so be prepared to put off all your duties, responsibilities, and obligations!

The storyline seems ok, but the end of this book is a cliffhanger. Zero answers to the mysteries in the story. That said, I am interested enough to get the 2nd and possibly the 3rd. Also, just my preference, I don't like 1st person narrative in a romance novel. It's awkward reading a man describe his own thick thighs.

"Her gasp almost undid me, inhaling a piece of my soul as she swallowed her breath."

Firstly, can we all please take a moment to both appreciate and scowl at the author for ending a book on a freakin' Cliff hanger?! Just when you think you know it all and you're happily smiling at the wonderful way the story "will end" but NO. It seems to have been the perfect opportunity to test our emotional stability.. I mean, why? Why did Addicted have to end like, but more importantly, I NEED the next one ASAP!

Okay I think I'm slowly calming down from this mental breakdown.

"I should have been more afraid than I was. I should have been screaming and running for my life. But I wasn't."

Nope, I'm not done just yet..

As the title so deceivingly suggests, the story was a little too addictive. And by that I mean, I had to keep away from socialising or anything other my kindle, my coffee and my Alek induced mindset (hey, don't blame me for only being human in drooling over a fictional character. Yup. That's me in a nutshell..) till I knew I was well and truly finished with this one. And just as I was getting happy that it will all be okay, the freaking ending bites my ass for ever thinking I knew how Addicted would end. S***. Sigh. Ugh.

"Don't apologize. It's nice to have a conversation with someone when they actually say what they mean."

Okay. Without giving away anything that so desperately wants to leave the tip of my tongue, this was a fast read that will DEFINITELY make you leave a couple free hours or a day just so you can finish it. I'm serious.

Alek + Sara

Brooding, sexy and dominant billionaire of a human meets an almost insecure but without a doubt, strong headed flower shop owner. When you look at it from purely that, it sounds like a fun, great but normal new adult romance read. Oh how wrong you are... ;)

"His hair was behaving in that unruly way, looking as if he was constantly running his hands through it. Sexy was what it was. I longed to run my fingers through it, twisting his soft strands around my hand as I pulled him into me. Holy Christ. Get a hold of yourself, woman!"

"His mere presence ignited my desire. What would happen when he actually touched me?"

Alek is instantly attracted to Sara, his protective, caveman instincts light up before his eyes , though he doesn't yet know how fully this effects hits him..

"It took everything in me not to scold her for being so careless, drunk enough to go home with a stranger, even if that stranger was me."

In the same way, Sara cannot seem to get her mind to fantasize about anything else... but HIM.

From the moment that they meet, it was just that simple. Yet it wasn't anything but...

Alex is the typical player that has long lost the count of the one night stands that have flown to his charms. That trail of thought is exactly what goes through his mind when he tries so hard to figure out what those feelings for her are or could be. His battle to steer clear of a relationship, doesn't look to be going so well when Sara pops into the picture.

"My eyes locked with his almost instantly, the snarl on his face suddenly confusing me. What the hell is his problem? It was then I caught him glancing from me to Matt then back again."

Sara is in some ways the polar opposite of his sex-for-one-night or sex at all type, but rather, she keeps telling herself that she can never or should never want Alek. Her past has killed the trust that she now is yet to find in people.. It's the sad truth, one which I myself can wholeheartedly agree with. With that said, I understood where Sara was coming from. I really did. That small realistic aspect made me love the story even more!

"I had a normal life once upon a time...before I met him. But I won't dwell on the past"

All these internal battles that she faces, those mindsets of not abandoning what she learnt from her mistakes, and life in general, get shot straight to hell every time they see each other. But, I wouldn't say that them finding each would be yet another mistake..

I think they learn to let go of specific parts of their life that for so long, had held them captive to what they want, what they NEED right now. That need can definitely be an addiction to one another. And an addiction that can at any moment, turn any which way.. good or bad. pretty or ugly. With Alek and Sara's relationship, you never really know, and that's exactly what made this such a breath of fresh air type of story.

Yes it has it's similarities when it comes to the bad boy getting the sweet girl but it's how, why and what happens between and within every single word of the story that makes it so breathtakingly good.

His words struck me like lightning. I'd known the man was interested in me but the look he gave me made my body light up from the inside. It was as if he was peering directly into my soul.

I can honestly say, with no surprise whatsoever, that I breathed for every sexy moment of Alek's possessive and demanding side. I did.

Since the very first time I'd laid eyes on her, I knew she was destined to be mine and I would do everything in my power to protect her, even from herself. I knew I came off as intense and overbearing, but I wasn't about to apologize for trying to keep her safe.

I mean seriously?! What girl wouldn't want to be a fly on the wall or inside their own guy's mind if he was thinking like that? Yeah, I thought so. I also can't blame Sara for having every possible dirty thought about Alek's particular set of "skills".. But more than that, they understood each other in more ways than some married couples could ever do. They simply just clicked.

"You're going to undo me," he proclaimed. His words were confusing, their meaning completely lost on me. But I didn't care. All I wanted was for him to devour me, to crush my soul with his passion and need."

One simple aspect that I didn't so much like was at the beginning were it seemed like her trust with Alek was too strong. Despite learning that she lost that trust for people a long time ago, it's just didn't feel right that she so easily let him take her home. But later, once we go deeper into Alek's mindset I completely understood why it happened the way that it did.

There's a story hidden behind her eyes. A dark story. She tried to hide it with smiler and sass, but it was lurking, struggling to break free given the right, or wrong, circumstance.

It also just felt a little rushed. BUT I can't say that I found anything else other than a great, loving sexy story that I will read again. I really can't find any more faults. Nope.

I can't say any more before I end up spoiling the end, which I am still getting over. If you're looking for a sexy, funny and heartfelt read? Or even a great book in general? You know what to do!

This book was so quotable (as I am sure you could tell by know) and S. Nelson's writing is so unique to what I have come across so far. It's that unexpected way of mixing simple with meaningful. sad with hopeful. sexy with funny. and most of all, fiction with the truth.

Thank you S. Nelson for being able to provide a review copy of such a wonderful book, I can only be grateful and lucky to have stumbled upon your writing!

Addicted, the first book in the addicted trilogy, began slowly but built gradually to a breathtaking climax. Sarah took years to recover from an abduction and never had a boyfriend until, at the age of 26, she meets Alek in the flower shop where she works. Suddenly she starts bumping into him everywhere. He acts like he loved her before she even knew him, and she is quickly swept away by his overwhelming presence. She does not guess that he is hiding something. He is so sweetly protective of Sarah you want to see them make it but first the big secret has to be set with......

After the death of her Grandmother, Sarah moves away from home to escape her past. After working to secure her future, Alek, explodes into her life. He will spend as much of his fortune as necessary to protect her. Will the secrets they each hold tear them apart?

This book is addictive and ends on a cliffhanger. What are you doing to us? I NEED the second book now.

I found Addicted to be a quick, enjoyable read. I really could not put it down. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I will definitely read more of her work.

I am a sucker for any attraction between rich man and not so rich woman. I loved Alek's dominant control character, and the author's description of his looks...........absolutely delicious. I loved Sarah's character feisty, simple, innocent, and true to her background not a gold digger and not impressed by his wealth. I loved that his willingness to do what was needed to keep her safe....any woman's dream I loved even more that he was her first sexual partner. While I do not know yet his or her deep dark past I am dying to find out in the second part of this story. Truly great read!!!!

It was a decent book- but I felt like there were some rather pertinent parts missing in the story. The plot was ultimately clear but the details were overly written in the first half and completely ignored towards the end. I felt like the author edited the first 75% or so with a fine tooth comb and then completely ignored the remainder of the book. Overall, compelling read but not so much that I am willing to purchase the second book.

Wow what an amazing read! And addicted is the perfect title because by the end of it your addicted and want more!
Sara thinks she has outran her past, she's started a new life, with her best friend, a new job and great friends! But what she doesn't realize is that the new man in her life can either be a bad memory or her future!
Alek has a secret, but he's hoping that he can gain Sara's trust enough that she'll be able to look past her secret and still want him after she learns the truth!
Omg I couldn't get enough and I am hungry for more!

This book had me hooked from the first chapter! Sara, a 26 year old virgin wakes up with a serious hangover and discovers she's not alone in her bed! Alek, a wealthy businessman brought her home the night before to make sure she got home safe because she was so intoxicated and all he did was sleep in her bed....now he's addicted and has to make her his. Book flowed great and the story kept moving, lots of secrets and hmmm moments to discover in the next books. I personally am dying to get my hands on the next book and find out more!

I think the story is pretty good but the characters are not very mature. most people would have ask a lot more questions on his possessive attitude. the heroine was just to nieve. the author did a good job with the story line, i love the mystery. it was a very romantic and would have been a really great ex except for the immaturity of the characters

Will written, main character, Sara, is a strong woman who meets Alex a wealthy business owner. What follows is a typical storyline. I love what's different from other stories. Alex is dominating and invasive but in such a way that you can't help but give in. HE seems to want her safely above all and this cause a lot of the initial conflict. I can't wait to find out r the rest of the story. What's going to come to light about Sara's past?

I picked up this story as I just finished reading Maya Banks DIG series and Addicted was a recommended read.

Got this book for an honest review and bloody hell, glad I had a chance to read it. Sara a 26 year old virgin with unknown scary past, who is having a fresh start by taking over a flower shop she works at, meets rich, sexy, mysterious Alek. The chemistry between them is undeniable. Alek just wants to keep Sara safe, but he does do it in a controlling manner where you just want to smack him lol

Alek has a secret too, Sara accidentally sees something that puts Alek in a new light. I need to read book 2 as need to know what Alek is hiding, what is lurking in Sara's past. Very good first read. Won't be disappointed

I was hesitant to read after reading mixed reviews and seeing how short the book was. But once I got started I couldn't stop. Are their similarities to 50 shades. Oh yes! But the story is unique enough in it's own to draw you in. The characters are personable and easy to form a relationship too. Of the 3 books the first was slower and harder to get into. But I promise if you give it a chance you won't be dissapointed. Just be prepared to move on to book 2 and 3 because it leaves you with a cliff hanger in just the right way. Kudos to the author

Was I reading the same book? There is absolutely no depth to the characters, little to no plot, poor world building and lackluster chemistry. I would have been totally fine with the absence of a story line if the characters were developed enough to make their relationship believable and worth reading about. The male lead in this book is written as petulant, overbearing and obsessive, while the protagonist is so boring I can't even remember her name.

The last 5 pages hint at something actually happening...his dark secret about to come to light (cliffhanger)...but I mean, come on! It was easy enough to guess his connection to her past early on in the book because there was literally nothing else happening in the story to draw on. At this point, I don't really care what happens or why he did it because it's not worth my time or money to read the next installment.

Just read the description and call it a day. It gives the book more credit than it's due and you won't waste 3 hours. Absolutely nothing more happens in the book than in that short blurb.

Sara is finally enjoying her life. She moved to Seattle with her friend to start over and all her plans are coming together. Then wealthy businessman Alek Devera turns her world upside down. The attraction between Sara and Alek is immediate. Alek has never met a woman who captivates him like Sara. He's obsessed with making sure Sara is safe while Sara is determined to keep control of her life. Both are hiding secrets from each other.
This is a terrific romance that has some interesting twists. The storyline sucked me in right from the start. I liked the characters - Sara and Alek have great chemistry. I also liked how it was told from both their point of views. I can't wait for the next installment to see what happens next. I think you will definitely enjoy this series!

Excellent, Amazing, & Wonderful!!!!
S. Nelson creates romance novels that are not typical. With her debut novel Stolen Fate I was drawn in and Redemption got me hooked and now with Addicted Let's say I am now Addicted to her writing style. I love her books.

Sara and Alek are the main characters. Both are hiding something from there past but there attraction to each other is immediate neither ever feeling this way Sara is cautious while Alek trying not to push her before she is ready.

Sara falls ill and let's him take care of her. She knows he loves it. and she likes that in this moment. Thrilled with being with him. She is in awe but what comes next is definitely not something you see coming. Come join Sara and Alek on there journey. I am so excited for this new series. I can't wait until the next one. and I think you will be just as excited.

Definitely a must read and recommended for 18+. You definitely don't want to miss this series.

So yes, this story is similar to others of it's nature but if that is what your going for this is the book for you. As long as the writing is decent and I'm not completely annoyed by the characters then I enjoy what I am reading. I realize the situations are completely unrealistic and men like this don't truly exist but it is fun to dream right? So, boy meets girl, so to speak, things go wrong, things go right, then of course wrong again, secrets are being kept and you're left with a cliffhanger at the end, shocker. On to book 2 it is. This book was free for me but I will purchase the next because I'm interested enough to know what the secret is. I'm also a sucker for a happy ending which I know is what I'll end up with. I gave this five stars because it was exactly what I was expecting to read, simple as that.

Started good, writing was pretty engaging but after I read 3/4 of the book with nothing new happening, I get too bored to continue. I don't even care what their secrets are anymore. They keep not doing the deed for no good reason, and I'm too bored to anticipate when they actually will. It's a story arc, not a story plateau. This book flatlined after the first 3 chapters and then there is just a series of events that don't make sense and character behaviors that don't make sense. "I WILL protect you by installing security in your apartment!" Says the dude to the girl he isn't even having a relationship of ANY kind with. That happens all the time right? Just no.

Headed to book two now and hoping it continues to get better. This story starts off slow with a lot of character development and some foundation building for their relationship only getting back to the plot in the last few pages.

I wanted to like this story more than I did. Honestly, I didn't dislike it, but I found it a bit hard to believe, especially how quickly she gives in to the highly possessive and controlling behavior he exhibits from day one. She vacillated between being feisty and being a doormat. As I neared the end, I had decided not to continue the series, however, the cliffhanger ending got me.

The story is good. It's very unique. The author, however needs a professional content editor. There are some choppy details left out or revealed too late in the story. I really don't like this Alek guy. He seems like an overbearing jerk and I'm surprised Sara would want to date someone like him. Even though we don't know what secrets they are both keeping, I would think he would be someone she should run from not to. On to the 2nd book.

When I first started reading this book, it was good. It kept me hooked until halfway through. Then it started getting a little too possessive for my taste. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a protective alpha but alek started coming off as controlling and borderline abusive almost. And she was like fine, fine, fine about all his demands. Then it sounded fifty shades of grey after that with the car. The end was cliffhanger that got me curious but not enough to buy the other books. I'm glad this was free on KU, otherwise u wouldn't have bothered. First time reading this author and the last.

I found it hard to get through this book. The writing is not the best, and the dialogue (my major issue with the book) is very stilted and forced. It is written in a way that people in real life don't talk or interact. At least not in this century. Storyline is ok, but the writing needs work.

I'm upsest i wasted my monthly prime library credit on this. It is more of an outline of a book with a few scenes filled in than a full book. It jumped around and was not flushed out. The main characters were adults but the plot felt as if it was written by a juvenile imagining adult relationships. There were spelling and grammatical mistakes in the book as well which added to the rough draft feel.

This book was very boring. The characters lacked depth and likability. The story line was poorly developed. Poor writing, and come on, can we get a little originality. I don't know how many other I did this right or tick from existing books such as Fifty Shades as well as others. Wealthy guy Seattle, stalker tendencies, why is his girlfriend a red Audi. And can you make the main characters any more irritating with their lack of Common Sense and irrational relationship expectations. Waste of time.

This book is all over the place. Her emotions don't make sense and her character doesn't stay true to herself. She is supposed to be a virgin yet, she allows some random man to kiss her after he snatches her out of the hallway and she has a random attitude with her?. SPOILER:

At one point the H comes in to buy flowers for a friend who just got out of surgery and she tells him it's misleading her. Mind you she doesn't know this guy from Dick. And how is it misleading to buy flowers for a friend who got out of surgery...wth is she talking about. It seems this author lacks character build. It's very superficial, however, I only read the first few chapters before the writing passed me off.

I got 54% in and just couldn't anymore. There was no basis for a "relationship." There was a minuscule amount of backstory. The guy comes off as a total creeper and stalker. I read all the reviews for this book looking for anyone else who had the same reaction I had while reading this book. No one has mentioned this, so I will.

As I read, almost everything felt just slightly off. Dialogue, slightly off and awkward. Character actions and reactions, slightly off. Author's word choice and word usage, slightly off and awkward.

Here's an example:
"she made quick work of relieving her body from the fabric which covered it.", and "my hand entwined in the strands of her hair, pulling in my excitement." See what I mean? Awkward and slightly off.

And in several cases, the word choice wasn't just slightly off, it was wrong. Things like, "I'll say my peace.", and "lay on the bed." And the past tense of 'creep' is 'crept', not 'creeped'. This kind of thing was too common throughout.

Having said that, there are several positives which must be noted:
1. I love a Cinderella story. They have always been popular, and this style of it is particularly popular right now.
2. This is a serial (argh, I hate that!), but all the parts are out, so no waiting, yay!
3. The characters are kind of fun.

I'll read the next book to see what is actually going on. It is good enough for that.

I'm sorry but what did I just attempt to read... it was a freebie, and I was in a slump.... then I read three chapters and remembered why I never read Indie authors, they have a tendency to DRIBBLE words on the pages in no discerning order... what are you trying to convey writers?, clearly not legibility. Then I saw reviews saying its a rip-off of FSOS... clearly I haven't read that, but years ago I read a sample and this basically is the same poor writing that was/is. I don't like the majority indie writing styles, that the latest reading crowd does ... they are one dimensional. Bit like today's music..... in the end they all sound the same, not matter who is writing or singing. This is the new Mill&Boon, but M&B at least was edited. So glad it was free, otherwise I'd be getting a refund. Finding a "gem" in todays indie glut is very rare becoming extinct, if you plan to write, read quality books before you attempt, not indie because in the end, you are all the same.

Do not waste your time. Its like a low budget version of 50 Shades of Gray. "Rich man becomes infactuated with shop girl. Buys her a Audi, blah, blah, blah. The story line is boring and predictable. Do not waste your time or money!

Nope. The writing here is not good and the story is not engaging. Lots of skimming just to get through. I also was not a fan of the creepy stalker behavior. Crazy intensity and jealousy is not romantic or a sign of love, it's a sign of an unhealthy individual and an unhealthy relationship.
