This story is believable as miracles do still occur in this day and age. I wish the dog could have lived on but his job on this earth was completed and it was his time to go be with God. I truly enjoyed reading this novel and looked forward to diving back into the thick of things! This is definitely a good read and enjoyable and will pull you in....FAST!!

Although not a literary masterpiece, the book in reminiscent of Hemmingway's Old man and the sea. It's a good read and has some thought provoking ideas that are very relevant current world events and beliefs. Something to think about for people of all ages.

A very interesting and acceptable concept. The reading went quickly and it is definitely a book that takes you away for a few hours from the cares and concerns of life, and allows you to see what could happen if individuals became responsible for themselves.

WRITING NOT UP TO THE STANDARD I USUALLY LIKE, BUT I THINK THIS IS A GOOD BOOK FOR JUNIOR HIGH UP. IT DOES DEAL WITH SOME THINGS THAT CONTINUE TO GO ON TODAY, AS WELL AS HOPE AND THE CONTINUING PRESENCE OF GRACE IN PEOPLE'S LIVES.

The plot was interesting but the ending was disappointing and unsatisfying. As the book unfolded, one felt that the world was going to be remade and wondered what the new world would look like. But the new world never materialized. It seemed as though the author didn't quite know how to end the book.

I was pleasantly surprised by this Baltimore writers effort! Being very familiar with the City of Baltimore parts of the novel ring quite true but more importantly the author truly "renders the scene", his prose quite engaging and the plot was most interesting. Being Catholic I found the story quite moving and topical---I'd certainly read another work by this author.

The Dog of Jesus was a very reflective book. This book makes a person think just how much we as a society take for granted. One can realize the need to lead a more humble life after reading this moving story. The author’s style writing made it an easy read and the transition between chapters keeps you wanting to read the next. This book was not written for the individual who is dedicated to any particular religious devotion. This book is for anyone who wishes to enjoy a first-class story, that will restore your believe in kindness.

Besides the unusual and original premise, every chapter is interesting and/or exciting. Just reading the the chapter titles in the table of contents gives one an idea of what to expect, and the story totally delivers. I was educated, enthralled, entertained, and enthused with the entire story.

This is the best "pure" story I've read since "The Old Man and the Sea!" It's a great achievement. Congratulations!

A poorly written, poorly thought out story of fairytale faith in the name of Christianity that I felt was way off the wall and so off point and point LESS, it was a waste of my time. It was not even charming. The use of violence in the name of Christ was abominable...even TRUMPISH. Certainly not the world I would want to be a part of...

Agreeing with many other readers...an enjoyable read. In the time of the shenanigans in DC, it was a wonderful diversion. Characters were quite believeable. Loved the transformation of Mr. Big. If Trump could read at this level, he could learn a lot from the message in the book...helping work toward the greater good without thought to self.
