While the premise is interesting, the characters have zero depth--what you see is what you get. Stilted conversations, with too little description. Sex thrown in just for the hell of it, not to add to the storyline. Trust me, don't bother.

This 'book' is half a chapter of unpolished, half developed storyline that is quite frankly a waste of $2.99. Not sure why authors would do this? Finish the job before expecting customers to pay for it. And no, it's not art.

Literally 4 pages into this "book" her boyfriend goes crazy, 5 pages later she meets up with her boyfriend from 10 years ago, and he wants her automatically again. Like...wtf?! This "book" was constructed so poorly that I was seriously astonished that people kept reading after this disaster. You guys...there are so many brilliant authors out there, this is just giving them all a horrible name. This sounds and felt like a horny 16 year old wrote a book, it was terrible. No build up, poor construction, extremely rushed, no character or plot development. Shoot...I can sit down and slap together a book better than this, and I'm in no way, shape, or form an author!

Although it did state "may have cliffhanger",only .99¢,but last 30% was another story. It was such a short story, why not just put out one hole book at one price.Don't know if I care enough about Emily to finish series. So far not much MC life so far.

This book just wasn't that good. The characters have no depth and lean towards being wishy-washy. There is nothing to grab you and make you want more. I'm not bothering with the next in the series as I don't care what happens. There are just too many other great books out there.

Another never ending book! What the f@#k! There should be a law that cliffhanger hangers must be listed on every cover! I'm so tired of writers trying to get every last dime out of people! Sure their are some people out there that are worth a second or even a third book but not this writer! Shirley

Emily Rose Dougherty grew up as a good catholic girl but had a taste for the bad boys. When she manages to get herself in trouble with the law, the last person she expected to see was Luke “Spade” Wade, Road Captain of Hade’s Spawn MC and her old high school boyfriend. Are some things are better left in the past?

I was given this in exchange for an honest review.

Emily has always tried to please her parents. She did what they asked of her but fall for the right type of guy. After an accident one night her parents felt they needed to put distance between her and her boyfriend Luke.
Luke is proud to be a member of Hades Spawn and loves being their Road Captain. Emily, his high school sweetheart was the only girl who ever got to him. After the accident that left him hospitalized and took Emily away from him he hasn’t been the same. Ten years later Luke discovers that Emily is closer than ever but what he finds isn’t what he wanted.

This is the first book in the Hade’s Spawn MC trilogy and the first book I’ve read by Lexy. Emily is a character who frustrated me. She does seem like she knows what she truly wants. The fact that she let her parents decide that she should be with Luke and sent her away just show’s she has some more growing up to do. She’s the kind of girl who wants to make everyone happy and forgets about what makes herself happy. Luke is not like most bikers you read about. He has a job and does his best to stay out of trouble but he has a wicked side when it comes to Emily. He lives his life the way he wants but he’s always guarding his heart. These two have undeniable chemistry that pulls you. Unfortunately the past hasn’t changed Emily as Luke decides to go for who owns his heart. Since this is a trilogy we are left with a cliff hanger which has me I looking forward to reading the second book and hopes that Emily will finally step out from under her parent’s wing.

I was given this in exchange for an honest review. I love anything that has to do with Bad Boys who really are soft at heart. This book was the first one I had read by Lexy Timms and loved it! I am currently on book 3 in this trilogy. I can't put them done. I think I will miss Emily and Luke when the book ends.

Luke Wade and Emily Rose Dougherty were in love in high school until that dreaded April 6th, the day that changed both of their lives. Luke, after a long, lonely recovery heads into trouble until he realized he wants more and joins the Navy. Emily leaves at her parents advice. Until one day they meet again at Luke's bike shop.

The story showed you real life issues - Domestic Abuse - physically, emotionally, and mentally; MC's and their stories, the lives of the members and how they just want to have their quiet MC rides up to scenic look-outs and not the drama of other MC's that they are not trying to be.

Great read and can't wait to finish it TODAY!!!!

Emily Rose Dougherty is always trying to please her Catholic parents. She had to give up her true love for them and she has always had to play by their rules.

When her ex-boyfriend seeks revenger for Emily dumping him, Emily finds herself in loads of trouble; she gets arrested because of him.

Luke “Spade” Wade has never forgotten his first love. None of the women he has been with can even compare to Emily. When she broke his heart, he became lost and ended up joining a motorcycle club; unfortunately not the good kind.

Now Luke is an adult, he has his own business and is associated with a new MC. Reading through the police report in the newspaper, he discovers Emily is actually still around town. Not letting this chance go to waste, he contacts her in hope of being able to rekindle their never forgotten love.

Their love is still strong as ever but Emily’s ex and her parents are not going to let this reunion happen. Luke also has some complications with his MC that needs to be worked out.

With all these outside forces plotting against them, Luke and Emily have to decide if it is worth it to pursue their second chance at love.

I enjoyed this book. It wasn’t as raunchy as most MC books I have read but it had a decent storyline. I was really interested in seeing what was going to happen next with poor Emily. That girl just can’t seem to get a break.

I recommend this short but good story. I can’t wait for book 2.

I loved the first installment (but therein lies the problem!). I would have rather got the complete story of Emma and Luke at one sitting and then come back for other members of the club story lines. This one has started out very nicely and I am looking forward to following it through but just hate that I have to get it in installments.
Emma is the good girl with a little streak of devilment in her I think and she has the bad boy gone good, but with all the bad vibes still there and that is always a good combination in my book. Although left on a cliffhanger and ending rather suddenly I will definitely have to read the other two books.
I have received this book for an honest review

“He kissed her neck, and behind her ear, licking that spot with his tongue. He was drunk on desire. He wanted to f@ck her right in the bloody SUV.”

4 hot MC stars!! This book was a pretty good read. The characters were fun and exciting to read about and the story was good.

Emily Rose Dougherty is a good Catholic girl from mythical Walkerville, CT. She had somehow managed to get herself into a heap trouble with the law, all because an ex-boyfriend has decided to make things difficult.

Luke “Spade” Wade owns a Motorcycle repair shop and is the Road Caption for Hade’s Spawn MC. He’s shocked when he reads in the paper that his old high school flame has been arrested. She’s always been the one he couldn’t forget.

Will destiny let them find each other again? Or what happens in the past, best left for the history books?

This book was a quick read and it kept me intrigued. I read it one sitting and I loved it. Great first book in the series. I don’t want to give too much away, but I’d say this book is worth the read!!

Review from Abibliophobia Anonymous Book Reviews.

This is part one of a serial series. This is the first book by Lexi Timms that I have read. I’m on the fence if I want to continue the serial or not. This was an okay read and I don’t mind cliffhangers, at all. This story is a lot shorter than I thought it was. The story stopped at around sixty percent and then we got six chapters of another book.

For Emily being twenty-eight, she doesn’t act like it. She acts early twenties, and it was a little annoying. I didn’t really connect with her at all.

Luke is her high school sweetheart. Even though this is an MC serial, there wasn’t much about the MC in the story.

There wasn’t much build up to the “ending”. It wasn’t a cliff hanger that made me feel like I absolutely have to read the next part.

Luke and Emily were high school sweet hearts. He was the bad biker boy and she was the good Catholic girl. Forced to end the relationship the two don't see each other for 10 years. Emily life is normal until she ends her relationship with her boyfriend who turns out to be crazy. Luke finds out Emily in the area when he reads about her "arrest" in the paper. They reconnect and find they still have chemistry. Luke not wanting to let her go again but Emily is not only dealing with a crazy ex who had her arrested falsely but people telling her Luke not a good guy to be with. I like this story. It does end in a cliffhanger and will be a 3 part series.

Big, HUGE cliffhanger. Not just a 'scene-ending-find-out-what's-next' kind of cliffhanger but a 'stop-in-the-middle-of-the-sentence' cliffhanger. This is the worst one I've seen from this author. Pretty disappointing. I couldn't really get into this story or characters anyway. The biker gang - sorry, motorcycle club - stories aren't my thing. I read this only because it was part of a multi-book box set.

Emily Rose Dougherty, a good Catholic girl, meets Luke "Spade" Wade, a "bad boy" who rides a motorcycle, in high school. They fall in love and start dating, but Emily's parents don't approve of him and forbid her to see him ever again. Emily moves across the country to go to university and tries to forget Luke.

Years later, Emily is having lots of problems caused by her ex, a man her parents fully approved of, and she ends up in the newspapers. Luke, who now owns a motorcycle repair shop, finds out she is back and they meet again. Both of them are still very much in love, but things aren't going to be easy with Emily's parents against their relationship, the problems caused by Emily's ex, Luke's problems...

This is a short book and it ends in a cliff hanger, that's the reason I'm just giving it 3 stars. There's no room in the book to fully develop the characters or the story, and not knowing how it ends did not make me happy.

I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review. I loved this book. I can't wait for the next one. It's your "good girl meets bad boy after so many years" story, but it's written very well, and the story keeps your attention. I couldn't put it down. I love these MC stories anyway, but this was one of the best.

Love Lexy Timms books and this was no exception. Luke and Emily were in love when they were young but kept apart by her parents...they meet again as adults and the spark is most definitely still there...but will they make it this time? Ends on a cliffhanger.

Loved this book! I wanted to scream and shake her parents, then her for taking too long to stand up for herself. I was given this book for a review and am now deprived as I wait for the next in the series to come out. Well done, well written. Thank goodness I didn't throw my device in anger while yelling at the character to smarten up! Lol! Definitely worth the read.

This book was a short read but don’t let that fool you, the story was fast paced and had a bit of everything. I loved it!!

Luke and Emily were high school sweethearts; their relationship was going strong until her parents began meddling and forbid Emily from seeing Luke anymore. Emily was the girl who didn’t want to disappoint her parents and did as they asked but she never forgot him he has always held a piece of her heart.

Fast forward 10 years and Emily is in a relationship with the type of man who her parents always wished for her but she is far from happy and after a serious of events she breaks up with him and things turn bad pretty quick. After making an impulsive decision Emily finds herself answering to a number of charges at the local police station and the man stiring the pot is none other than her ex.

Luke is doing well for himself part of the Hades MC an the owner of a Motorbike garage life is moving at a good pace for him, until the morning when he is on his bike and he thinks he spots the only girl who has ever held his heart. He soon learns that his Emily is not as far away as he though and he reaches out to her.

How Can 2 people who were and possible still are madly in love with one another move on and be together. With Emily’s parent still calling all the shots will Emily stand up for herself and for the possibility of there being her and Luke of will she follow their orders and only live half a life?

Seems this author does a lot of cliffhanger books which I hate. On top of that the price is high when you think of the fact that you might have to buy 4 books to get the complete story. Lexi wise up! Look at reviews that complain about this fact.
