An interesting story Diana must have done a lot of research. Had to keep reading about the events in jamaica and Grey's abiltity to handle the situations. . Interesting final event when he realizris Tom was not really a dead zombie.
There was corrution in the government . Interesting that snakes were involved and that there was no real revo;ution Good readmg.

I enjoyed Plague much more than Custom of the Army. It gives an explanation for the appearance of zombies. It was good to have a plausible explanation whether true or not. I've enjoyed all the Lord John books. This novella has a long passage from the next Jamie/Claire book as a bonus.

This novella does provide some entertainment but it seems to me that Diana Gabaldon does better with a longer format. For me, the story lacked some development. In spite of this, I enjoyed it because I love the writer.

Love Diana - this novella is fun and creepy at the same!! I can't get enough of the Outlander series, so this small read offers readers a short clip of the further adventures of Lord John! It's a must read!!

This is a really fun novella by everyone's favorite time travel novelist - with ZOMBIES - you gotta love it! If you are a big fan of the Outlander, the Lord John novels, and zombies, as I am, you will love this story too. It also ties up a few loose ends from both series.

If you love the Outlander series you will love this addition. This story adds John's viewpoint so you get more insight into the original story. The actor did a great job enacting the various characters. I really enjoyed it!

Anything Diana Gabaldon writes is sure to get my attention. I enjoy the Lord John stories, but they really serve to assuage my appetite for the next Outlander installment. Hurry , I have "Written in My Own Heart's Blood" on pre-order. Can't wait

Just another wonderful book by my most favorite female author. If you have not read any of her novels you have really missed out! This Novella is spine chilling and Thank goodness the main character is so resourceful. Loved it!

Loved this book - and such interesting detail. I thought it would be something silly, with zombies and all, but it brought realism into what has become popular schlock. At the end - heart-wrenching, and beautiful.

Diana Gabaldon's books are always wonderful. Great characters, rich texture, and stellar writing. They they stay on my virtual shelf for years, to reread when I need a literary fix. Is it possible to give an author more than 5 stars?

I love her writing and really enjoy getting to know Lord John more. I love the effort and research she puts into all of her books and I think it shows in this one as well. A great addition to your "Outlander" collection.

What a great spinoff. I love this series and Diana Gabaldon is probably my favorite author. So much character and plot development that it is almost like being there. This was a super novella. Voodoo anyone?

Well I read the book and want more. Diana Gabaldon always leaves me wanting more. I have been collecting the Outlander series in hardback from the start along with the paperback(to lend out.) Since I was always wanting more I started reading the Grey series. I just can't seem to get enough.

Enjoy DGs filling in some 'backstory' with the characters and it was interesting to peer into the approach Lord John uses to maintain order and demonstrate leadership. Nothing very memorable about the book.

Herself calls these bubbles. The story is about a character from the Outlander series and is fun to read on it's own. Fills in some gaps from the main stories and fills in the gap while waiting for the next BIG book..
