**DISCLAIMER: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**
Somethingsomethingsomething...ITSCOMING.
The end is the beginning.
It had to happen in order.
Forgive us St. Michael!
This was a MUCH anticipated, long-awaited conclusion to one of the most INSANE and twisted stories i've ever had the absolute pleasure of reading. I won't give away any spoilers, but let's just say as a long time fan I was not at all disappointed! I may have been left with more than a lifetime's worth of "what if's" and "why not's" and other such questions, but my brain is more than pleased to finally have rest and see the light through the tunnel that is the rabbit hole of Courtney Cole's twisted, dark, brilliant mind!
You MUST read it in order...it has to happen that way.
You will want to pull every strand of hair out of your head. You'll find your eyes leaking waterfalls of unexplainable tears full of frustration, fear, and confusion. You will fall deep, deep, down the rabbit hole...and you'll be all the better for it.
Fall with Calla, Sink with Finn and Dissipate with Dare!
This conclusion will not disappoint!
So what are you waiting for? The truth is here. The light is ahead...THE END IS COMING!
(UNENDING THANKS to Courtney Cole for being the absolutely brilliant light in this world that she is. Thank you for telling this story the way Calla demanded it told. Thank you for never compromising and for embracing every single one of your crazed fans. Thank you for sharing with us such brilliant pieces of artwork. Thank you for Dare-ing us all to fall. ;) <3

Brilliant! I am always amazed at writers that weave such a twisted tale that you are left wondering about your own sanity. This series will do that to you in spades. I cannot tell you how many restless nights I have spent, unable to fall asleep because I just kept going over this story in my head trying, trying, trying to figure out what the heck was going on. I never in a million years would have figured it out on my own. This story repeats itself, over and over again, with details that mix and mingle and change until you go insane. And really, that's the point.
I wondered up until the last chapter if I was going to ever get some resolution. I am so happy with how everything resolved itself......or did it? Read for yourself.

This series....wow!! I read this entire series within a week and my goodness. I have to tell you as I was reading this I was like....am I going crazy?? I was finding myself re-reading certain parts of this series just to make sure I wasn't reading it incorrectly or didn't miss anything.
At first I was not sure what I really thought about this series. Now that I have finished it I am still not sure what I feel. But I think that by the end of the series I had all of my emotions and thoughts back in check. Well, I would at least like to think that I did. haha.
This whole series was a literal whirlwind of emotions. I found myself crying, laughing, depressed, any emotion you could have. I felt it while reading this series. There was a lot of death and sadness in this series and at times it was a little too much. But I was able to prevail and make it though somewhat unscathed.
Not going to lie, this series is very dark, twisted and sad. There are not many lighthearted moments in these books. They are few and far between. But the mind is not always a happy, safe, and sane place. Tragic things can twist the mind, making you think sometimes that up is down, and down is up. Making you seem and feel a little bit crazy.
That is how this series starts the make character Calla has suffered a traumatic loss, and these weird things start happening. People are coming and going out of her life. She is having dreams that she isn't sure are real or not. What she does know is Nocte Libre Sum....By Night I Am Free!
I truly felt for Calla, Finn, and Dare! Calla who is so much stronger than she even knows had my heart breaking throughout this series. Knowing that all the people around you know what is going on but being told you have to figure it out on your own. That everything has to happen in order.
That can be frustrating and upsetting. I know that if my family, friends, and the people I love were being so cryptic around me I would have reacted a completely different way. But not Calla, she keeps digging and searching for answers.
So with the help of the people she loves, they are able to discover fully the truth of what has been going on and why Calla may think that she is crazy.
I can not say much more without revealing everything, and even if I did I am not sure if what I would be revealing are what is true. You shall understand completely what I am talking about once you pick up this last a final book in this series and read it. I will say though, that this series was very well written. The concept brilliant, and I am so glad that I picked up this series. Even though there are things that were touched upon that I am not ok with at all. In the end I believe that everyone lived happily ever after, and that everything that was supposed to be changed was changed, and that life will go on.
What secret does Whitley hold, why the children have to pay for the sins of their parents, and is Calla really crazy? Is Finn really dead? Is Dare a figment of Calla's imagination?
ALL will be revealed!
And now that I have you all probably totally confused, GO! Make sure you grab your copy today and I promise you this review will no longer be confusing!!

Spellbinding, riveting, out of this world AMAZING!!
This was one of my most anticipated books this year, with every single book in this series I was blown away.
Courtney Cole takes you on this crazy out of this world journey where you question absolutely everything.
She had me feeling just as crazy as Calla.
"We're all a bit mad, aren't we?"
I can't say much without ruining it but I can say I am sad that it had came to a end.
I cannot even fathom how much I loved this series and how calla and her journey will always stay with me. FORVER!

This whole series was full of twists and turns. It is hard to decipher what is real and what isn't. I'm just glad that I read this series after it was completed. Now not even a full 24 hours after reading the first book I am done. This series consumed me. Calla, Finn, and Dare's story has left me all twisted and I love it.
I love when a book screws with your mind like this one.
Save me and I'll save you.

Words absolutely fail me right now. My mind is still absorbing everything I read. Courtney has written a perfect twisted and suspenseful story. My review may be short but it's only because I am still trying to comprehend everything and also, I do not want to give any of the plot away.
If you have not read any of the previous books in this series, do not read this book. You MUST read this series from the beginning. Granted you will still be going "WTF" but in a very odd and effed up way, things will make sense, sorta. Maybe. Once you read this series, you will totally understand what I mean.
This whole series is intoxicating, frustrating and absolutely exceptional. This story is layers upon layers. Everything in this series happens for a reason, but we have no idea what those reasons are. This book is about the supernatural, the mysticism. What is real? What is fabricated?
The end is the beginning. Lux gives us the answers we seek, but in a very distorted and unpredictable way.
I know it was a twisted journey, but don't forget: I warned you. I told you at the beginning of NOCTE that the story was dark. And it has been.
It's been twisty and unpredictable, and the end was the beginning and the beginning was the end. I know that, and I did it on purpose.
I wanted to take you down a path where your mind wasn't your own, just like Calla's.
-Courtney Cole
I had so many questions and theories going into Lux. I got my answers but in the way I had expected. Courtney wrote this story in a perfectly twisted way. I was lost, confused. Just when I thought I figured something out, only to find out that later on that theory was completely off. This book will keep you turning the pages.
"We're all a bit mad, aren't we?"
This series is unlike no others I have read before. It will blow your mind in ways you won't expect. This series is definitely in my top 5 and will definitely be one that I will reread many times. Courtney said she was brining us something completely different from anything she has ever written before. And let me tell you, this is a complete 180 and she delivered!!!

*** 6 Star Review **
*Lux, the highly anticipated finale of the Nocte Trilogy by Courtney Cole has released! Fans of dark, twisted, complicated stories will not want to miss this dynamic series.
Lux cannot be read as a stand alone novel. It must be read in series order.
As I began to read Lux I had so many questions and too many theories. At the same time I was completely baffled as to where this series would lead. It was a visit into the world of madness and mystical obscurity that involves three characters closely tied together through blood and history. Each word in each novel is carefully chosen to give the readers perceptions that change as each passage changes.
Lux answered most of the questions readers had formulated. It connected the ties between all of the characters and left the reader astounded. Courtney Cole intricately wove a tale based on biblical history, Romani Gypsy customs, present day situations, and mystical forces that enveloped these characters into a perpetual sense of madness.
The writing was brilliant. Courtney Cole carefully planned this series and meticulously chose every word and it's placement within the story. She hid subtle clues that led to several different perceptions. She used the written passages from the bible to correlate with the characters of the present without implying the philosophical beliefs of religion. It was more of a moral taboo that was touched upon.
In the end, all three characters came full circle and found their place in their lives.
Readers will walk away with different perceptions but all will agree that the entire Nocte Trilogy was brilliant.
Well done Courtney Cole. You are a master of your craft!

"The past is a prison"
So...it's hard to write a review without spoilers.
First of all, if u thought this book would not spin ur head as the other two...think again.
Honestly, i think this book gave me more headache than Nocte and Verum.
Where do i begin?
After reading N y V , we know that there is something weird happening and not just with Calla, but with her family. when she goes to England, we meet her grandmother, uncle and more people. With her, we start to get inside this house, in the secrets it keeps and we get confused even more along with her.
Lux, since the begging inmerse us in the questions : is Calla crazy? Who can she see her dead brother, Fin? Where is Dare? and for that Courtney take us to the beggining.
"Do you know what i always did when i was lost? (…) i re-trace my steps”
And that how w ego back to Calla’s life before Nocte, to the begginins of her life. We know more of her life, her relation with Fin and her family.
And… this clears things for us?
NO.
NO.
NO.
Really, the most part of the book we are with a WTF face…o at least i was.
However, Little by Little thing start to clear? Making sense? Connecting? We start to know , to discover what’s going on and
LET ME WARN YOU!!!
NOT ALL THE PEOPLE IS GOING TO BE HAPPY WITH THE TURN OF THE STORY.
I know, i feel it in my soul, ‘cause i ,after finished the book, i was like..mmm… what did i read? I thought a lot about what have just read.
FOR ME, it was a good explanation of things, it was clever and creative and i think things are in this circle that closes…o at least, will close.
However, i feel something was missing with Lux. I feel it a Little weak, it stayed on things we already have seen – one way or another – in the other two books, and that took away the innovations to this plot.
Even with all of the problems, i totally recommend this trilogy , it’s going to keep u on the edge of your seat.
Aaand if u like books u feel the need to curse them… this is your book.

Whoa!!! Where should I start. I have never read anything like this. This is the most unique storyline I've ever read. This series questioned my sanity.
I cannot stop thinking about this series. I finished it yesterday and today, it occupies my every thought of every minute. This story is pure brilliance. So many twists and turns and when you find out the truth-mind blown! One of my all time favorite series!
Brilliant! Just brilliant!!

If you like a seriously twisted plot this series is for you. It leaves you guessing right up to the very end and then leaves you guessing again. It's definately well written . That being said the story can be hard to follow at times. It is worth a read though..... What if....?

this series was amazing!!!!! I had no idea what it was about going into it but once I was in it there was no coming out!!! I'm still not sure what was real and what is a dream. Fantastic read!!!!!!! Left you with a complete cliff hanger but not a "real" one that would leave you disappointed . My choice is Dares choice of path has led all 3 to some sort of happy ever after❤️

Lux is the final instalment in the Nocte Trilogy and I am going to be honest here, it left me feeling hugely disappointed. Personally I thought it was very anti-climatic and overly repetitive, and extremely confusing for the sake of being crazy.
After spending 2 and a half books trying to get some answers, I felt let down by was a very rushed ending and my mind was left in a blur.
I did spend the first half of the book glued to my kindle, so for that I am giving 2 stars for effort.

I read for two reasons, education & entertainment. This series didn't accomplish either. It was a collection of gibberish. The cliff hangers at the end of the books eluded to resolutions that never came. A complete waste of time & money. A don't read, avoid this author.

I liked the first one, enjoyed the second one somewhat but thus one was just too much. Everything was too twisted I kept reading the same exact thing over and over it was a mess and I sincerely did not like it!!!!
Please RateLux (The Nocte Trilogy Book 3)
I have never ever read a trilogy like Nocte. After becoming addicted from the first page of Nocte, I was on the edge of my seat until the end. Courtney has built up page after page to the finale in Lux and she does NOT disappoint.
Dare. Sweet, loving, mysterious Dare. He has a place in my heart forever.
Calla, I feel for her. We all feel lost or crazy at times. Being in her head is beautifully tragic.
Well done Courtney. The twists and unexpectedness was well planned out and interwoven flawlessly. I want to hug you at how far out of the box you went with this book.
Must read. Top 5 of 2015
