Mastering Essential Math Skills Book Two Middle Grades/High School New expanded edition

My recalcitrant learner has been transformed! I found a DVD from this series at our local library and it was so effective I bought two of the workbooks. The videos are clear, humorous, and easy to listen to. This is working beautifully for a homeschool math course for my now seventh grader, who resisted every other math approach I tried. I'm so grateful to find something that works at last!

This book is great! This is my 6th year homeschooling and I worked as a private school teacher before that. This math book is clear, concise and easy to use. I have spent large amounts of money on Math curriculum in the past. I will not make that mistake again. I am hooked!

So disappointed! I am returning this item. I have loved the first book for my 9 year old. We also supplemented with the geometry book but that was before I realized most of it was also included in book 1. Today Book 2 arrived and I was excited to see what would be next. Well, nothing! The work is the same as in book 1! It covers the same topics and actually it has a few less then book 1. This is suppose to be for middle school and high school! I have a 9 year d already doing all of this and no she is not that advanced. I am going to take a look at the pre-algebra book and see if that is where we need to be. So frustrating!

We were struggling to find a starting point for my son when switching to homeschool. I got this because it was inexpensive and because of the videos. It has exceeded my expectations and my son is really enjoying it and grasping the concepts so quickly. He dreaded math before, now he feels confident that he can figure it out! I had gotten another curriculum, but this has been so easy to work with we are sticking with it!

Bought book for my middle school daughter. She really enjoyed it. The book was easy for her to understand and learn from it as well. Great math work book to do over summer for middle school grade student.

This study guide offers a great review of math concepts for middle school children. It introduces new concepts while offering a review of previous learned skills. The tips and methodology are a great supplement to school learning. We used this book over the summer and during the year to keep up our son's math skills.

This book provides work sheets to improve in basic math skills. It not only helps children preparing for 6th or 7th grade but it also is a great guide to parents that wants to brush up on their fractions, percentages etc. It is basic and easy to understand. I recommend it highly.

This book does a good job of reinforcing the basics and builds to more challenging skills. I was hoping for a section on expressions/equations which it does not have. My daughter enjoyed the speed drills on each page and being timed to see how much she was improving.
