The book was quite well written--until the end when I wondered if some pages were missing. It just stopped without a real conclusion or teaser. That being said, the characters I love and enjoy were there and in good form.

The book is filled with intrigue and stories of ancient shipwrecks. Followers of Dirk Pitt will love this engaging mystery or should one say mysteries. As with few novels this was hard to put down. You will love it!

Clive has done it again! Woven historical facts into a believable fictional story with intrigue, danger, impossible odds and a happy ending! A recipe for another successful book keeps the readers attention the whole time & keeps me wanting more!
A Novel from the NUMA files (NUMA Files series Book 1) :: Mayday (Dirk Pitt Adventure Book 23) :: Flood Tide (Dirk Pitt, No. 14) :: The Russian Renaissance (Sokolov Book 1) :: Raise the Titanic! (Dirk Pitt Adventure)

I have read every Clive Cussler book , except only 1 of the Fargo series which are full of page filling garbage and very little story . This is one book, 2 separate stories, hard to keep it straight in my head, Russian agents, anti-Russian groups, Bulgarian cops, Dirk in one story, his kids in another and they never merge into one. This is without question the worst CC book that I have ever read, May be time for him to retire!

As much as I love Clive Cussler's books especially the NUMA files and have read them all I found this book lacking in the usual story telling. Still an entertaining read but lacked the excitement of other books.
