An excellent choice for the description and detail of your feathered friends . Pictures are what you have come to expect from
National Geographic . Easy to use and a all around great choice for a gift or personal use .
The shipping and handling from this seller were Five Star . Arrived on time and undamaged . Highly Recommend :)

Recently put up a bird feeder and have been innundated with birds! Love watching them and purchased this guide to help me identify them and learn more about them. Since then, I have gotten 2 more bird feeders and have found this book both helpful and enjoyable. Highly recommend. And as usual, from National Geographic, high quality.

National Geographic comes out with the best books; especially for kids. My 10 year old son wanted this for his bday, so I bought it for him. He uses it as a resource more than something he reads daily.

The Backyard Guide is a 'must have' for anyone interested in watching and enjoying birds. It's fun to see an unkown bird come to our feeder and readily be able to identify it while it feeds at our feeder. The photos in the book are 'National Geographic' style. So close up and clear. This is definitely a good book for birding!

For my amatuer bird watching I have found this publication to be quite useful. Many beautiful pictures as well as a lot of useful information for each species. I share this info with my grand chilkdren and they also enjoy watching and learning about the birds we see.

Bought this little book and one more for beginners as I developed an interest in the birds that are in my yard and surrounding areas. This is a great guide with great explanations and illustrations. I find the book informative and helpful and would recommend it to any novice bird lover

The book is very helpful. It has detailed descriptions and information on many common birds along with maps identifying the region they are found. The illustrations are gorgeous which make it easy to identify the bird you are searching for.

The book was colorful with good information about the birds. Our grandson wanted to take his binoculars out to the tree house & look for birds right away. It was difficult faced with all of the various books about birds to know which ones would be age appropriate.

This was shipped fast, and arrived in very good condition. I purchased it for my husband, who says it is exactly what he wanted, and he has already identified a good many birds using it. Definitely recommend this if you are looking for a handy paperback guide.

Well organized, highly informative, packed with tips and tidbits i was not expecting. I love this book and would recommend it to anyone who, like me, has moved out of the city and into the suburbs, where visitors to the new feeder surprise me every day.

This book is fantastic. We love the cheat sheets to quickly identify the birds. We also love that there is a spot under each of the longer descriptions to log when you see the birds. This way, my kids know when to expect the birds back next year!
