I hardly know what to write! This book touched so many chords in my heart - loving, caring people making a family from chaos and distress. In our current times, it's wonderful to find a book where everyone is accepted for themselves, with gender, nationality, color all being so secondary to individuals. Read it - it's refreshing.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I had already read 'Letters Of Freedom' and was looking forward to reading the next installment, I wasn't disappointed. The characters were very likeable except a certain 'Julia', and I even began to like 'Bill' at the end. I hope that there is a follow on to this series as it is well written and a lovely clean read.

Another page turner by Jean Grainger! I was mesmerized from the very beginning and I wish this prolific writer could clone herself, so the books would come more quickly!!! The characters are so real, you just want to hop on a plane to Ireland to meet them, along with their amazing creator

Thanks Jean I enjoyed your story for so many reasons. You shared characters that were as real as my hometown. You gave them lives that were filled with challenge, trouble and the joy of overcoming. You shared many things of interest from your home country. Is it any wonder that I feel enriched and satisfied. I hope there will be another sequel. Elena

I was so happy that Jean decided to continue Carmel & Sharif's story and she did not disappoint! It is a beautifully written story that exceeded my expectations. Jean Grainger has out done herself again! I could not put the book down and read it in one day. Jean had become my favorite author since I learned of her books a year ago. I look forward to reading more of her work.

Another wonderful heart warming tale from Jean.
A beautifully written, sad yet uplifting story. As always the characters are realistic and come to life in this multi textured world Jean has created. You feel the places and persons and somehow they remind you of someone past or present in everyones life.

I laughed and cried, tears running down my face! (That's a very good thing to me!) I became Carmel while reading it, all the characters were so well developed. I have read everything that Jean Grainger has written. Looking forward to the rest of them I know she is going to gift the world.

I will say that this book was just as spellbinding as the first in the series. Things are going so well for Carmel I kept waiting for the "other shoe to drop". Wonder what may be in store for her in future.

A brilliant sequel to Letters of Freedom (even though this can be read as a standalone story). To finally find out the whole of Carmel's birth story and the subsequent story after she leaves Bill and his awful sister. I can't recommend this highly enough and it is well worth a read.

A good read, which I thoroughly enjoyed, even though I did feel the characters were a bit stereotypical. It's a sequel to a novella, but does work well as a standalone. Jean Grainger is a wonderful storyteller and I look forward to her next offering.

The characters in this book draw you in immediately and make you love them! You will root for them as they look for happiness.
Read the book in one sitting and was sad to finish and leave them behind!

Jean Grainger is a natural story teller, and brings all her characters alive, good and bad. I was draw in to life of Carmel, and fascinated with past and present day mixture in this story. Can not Waite for next installment of her life.
