This book is terribly tragic, and teaches a great lesson......IF you are brave enough to read it. This is the scariest book, or movie I have ever encountered in my life. Nothing has ever scared me so bad as this book. I was reading it at night, and I actually only had about 7 pages left, but i couldn't finish it, because it was too scary. I actually slept with a light on, and couldn't sleep for half an hour. I DO NOT recommend this book to anyone under the age of 18. Thanks, and Good luck reading it. But, don't say you weren't warned......

Jay’s Journal is an extremely interesting and dark book. We are introduced to a young boy named Jay who is introduced into the dark world of drugs. This is a different kind of book though, because the focus is not only on drugs, but the way that drugs has shaped this boy’s life- the witch craft he fell into, the persuasion he felt from his friends and the way he influenced his friends. Throughout the book Jay opens up to us in his journal, of his everyday life. Jay’s dark journal is a story to us but real life to him. This is a great read because unfortunately Jay could not escape his life and took the life he was given away. He committed suicide and we read up to the day that Jay decided his fate. This is such a real and raw book and I think kids who are going through a tough time should read. The rawness is real and the black hole that you go down through with drugs, shows you that the escape you want gives you an eternal escape; death. It is a sad and hard book to read, but again it is a book I think kids should read- kids should know the affect persuasion has and that being influenced by friends and peers are a real thing, but dodging them are what you need to do; even if it seems too hard.

i just finished reading this book, it was ok. why just ok? (...) i told her i had bought another book by the same author, thats when she put a thought into my head, she asked how do you know that those books are real? that just right about ruined it for me, i told her that i didnt and that it was dumb if it were true. that put thoughts in my head. the whole time i was reading Jay's Journal i kept think about if these things were true. and come to think of it some of the things in the book seemed coincidental. yea yea i know and if it were real those coincidences would have just be what they are......the truth. but i have had friends that has mixed into things like Jay. i dont know....the book seemed too story-like. maybe my mother absolutly ruined it when she put the thought of it being fiction in my head......
found another book by the same author, just started reading it, It Happened to Nancy.
im most likely wrong, because no one else wrote anything near what i wrote. but all in all the book was good

All of this about witchcraft & the occult is ridiculous garbage. And judging by the other reviews its all made up lies anyways. Would have probably been more interesting if it wasnt made up nonsense that apparently shattered this persons image.

The first time I stumbled across "Jay's Journal" I was a bored and rebellious teenager just as Jay himself was. That was almost 15 years ago. To this day I will never forget the story that this young man had to tell. Beatrice Sparks took this straight from the pages of a Journal written by a young man who got mixed into the "dark" side of our cold world. For those of you who have a hard time with spirituality or believing in a true higher entity, then please read this. This book is a true testament to the fact that if u can only believe in good by knowing that evil lurks, then get ready to become a believer.

I remember when i first started reading this book, i couldn't get my hands off of it. it is kind of sad knowing that some of the teenagers are troubled like Jay.when people like Jay are gullible enough to fall in the hands of drugs, witchcraft, satanism, and voodo, it just shows that his parents probably didn't give him the proper guidance or attention he needed to do the right things. He wants to explore more of what life has to offer like mental challenges as in E.S.P (extrasensory perception). Many times it can also be influences by friends or family. As is Jays case it was his two best friends. Unfortunately they both die and Jay is left on the world on his own. So he does even crazier things like perform weird satanic ceremonies which include drinking the blood from cows. After all these incidents are over, there is this demon presence that troubled Jay for a good while. He would follow him everywhere. And it's a very strong coincidence that he and his friends all died by their right temples. And when Jay dies he leaves a note for his parents telling them how he couldn't take it anymore. He couldn't take how the demon tormented him and how he had to be on his own because he really liked his friends.

This truly did make me beleive in my God like never before... (...) i've learned from his journal, as i am sure others will... It gave me a glimpse into a life... i did not want... as i finally closed the book, tears were streaming down my face and... was appaled by how it ended, although i wouldnt have wanted it any other way... Jay's Journal the Anonymous is a fantastic book to read if you have to read it for Psychology class like I did. It's about a young boy with an IQ of 149 and master of debate who joined a cult dedicated to Satanism, witchcraft and Ouija boards. He was fasinated by the black and white magic being used. He wanted to know if it was true or a bunch of Hocus Pocus.

They say curiosity killed the cat. This old saying is proved true by Jay , the main character in Jay's Journal. By reading this book you'll learn that drugs and satanism are two addictions you never want to experience.
Jay is a lonely, depressed teenager that tried to escape his way out of problems by getting into drugs. His drug use gets him sent to a rehabilitation center, where he meets Pete, a guy that gets him into satanism. Satanism leads him into a dark tragical path and ending.
In the world of satanism Jay experiments a lot of strange and creepy things such as witchcraft , the use of the Ouija board, animal sacrifices, and contacts spirits from the after life world. Because of Jay two of his best friends got into this too and their ambition of fame and fortune make them pay a much higher price than they ever thought. They are in a situation which seems not to have a escape or way back.
The book is intense and makes you want to know more and more as you read it. From the editor of Go Ask Alice, Beatrice Sparks brings to you Jay's Journal letting other teenagers think about all this situations in a serious way, because it is not a game.

Garbage! Clearly this is a book filled with fictional happenings used to persuade those who read it, likely youth, to stay away from drugs, sex and the occult. Junk! My condolences to the family members of the boy.

I am a survivor of Ritualistic Abuse so this book is extremely triggering, however, it exposes the evil of te occult and why most people get into it. His story broke my heart because most occultist start out not wanting it and get too deep because of drugs, sex, and power. Amazing story but extremely triggering for anybody who was in luciferianism or is a survivor of Ritualistic Abuse, like I am. Must be read with caution

I really loved this book. Fortunately I read the reviews before I actually read the book and kept in mind alot of it could be fiction, and that worked for me! This boys journal tells a compelling story and, it's addicting, and near the middle-end of the story it's starts getting pretty freaky, scary! I read this whole book in one day, and that's how hooked I was!

I found this book interesting because I am growing up in Pleasnat Grove, and going to the school he did. I have been to his headstone. I have family members that went to school and sat next to him. Some say he could levitate pencils from the desk. This book is 80% true, but just like every other book it adds some spice. What book doesn't? You need to expect it.
