Coleman has done a good job keeping this entertaining series going. He has a good sense for Parker's characters (including Spenser, who has a cameo here), and has developed Jesse Stone in interesting ways. His plots are a bit convoluted, and this new book is no exception, but that doesn’t detract seriously from the pleasure of a literate, intelligent crime story.

I learned some things about the recording industry and Jesse Stone always delights. I miss Robert Parker but Reed Farrell Coleman has done an excellent job keeping the tone and tenor of the main characters and Paradise.
