It's been SO long since I have found a book that kept my attention. I absolutely could not put this book down! I would be practically falling asleep because I was so tired but it's such an amazing, brave, sometimes tragic, and beautiful story that I had to keep reading. Thank you Liz for sharing your story and being so brave. A mother's love is so strong that she will go to the end of the earth for her children, literally. Everyone needs to read this story! And I definitely think this needs to be turned into a movie too. I wish I could give you 10 stars :)

A well-written book about a serious, heart-wrenching kidnapping of her two daughters by her ex-husband. It covers Alaska and Greece and has so many twists and turns, it's hard to put down. The story is filled with difficult experiences dealing with the justice system. Lizbeth writes well and I would recommend this book to anyone.

This is an incredibly heart wrenching story of a mother's love for her daughters... and her resilience to face adversity with courage hope and determination. As the author tells her story the reader is swept up in the emotion of the moment and the grace of her ability to reflect without condemning the actions of others. She exemplifies: "be the good in the world."

Thank you Lizbeth for sharing your heart and your story so full of pain and hope. You've been through a lot and your story is helping so many others. Anyone who has ever experienced abuse and the multiple fears that come with, will appreciate your story. Thank you!

This is a really well written, true story that is both compelling and illuminating! This account of the kidnapping of of Lizbeth Meredith's two young daughters by her former husband is a page turner and every bit of it is true. This is Meredith's first book and I hope to see another from her soon as she is an excellent writer.

I had the good fortune to meet the author at a book talk in my town. In person, she is plucky, pleasant and personable. Reading this book, I can see she needed all of her strength to deal with this horrifying situation (and a really tough life even before her children were stolen from her). I recommend this book -- it is compelling and well-written -- you will not be able to put it down!

This was such an inspirational book.I could not put it down.Lizbeth Meredith showed such courage.I could feel her emotions in the book at times I cried.There were also some light hearted moments that made you smile.I know this book will help others with the struggles in their life because of strength she had to get through everything she went through.She is such a talented writer and I look forward to other books from her in the future.

I started reading this book and simply could not out it down.
Talk about a roller coaster of events. It reads very well and switched from past to present back to past. REALLY COOL!

I did not expect this to be as exciting and fiction-like as it turned out. I had to keep reading to see what happened next!
Everything the others are saying about the gut-renching drama and perseverance are true and truely a textbook of a mothers love and the unlimited strength it can provide.I almost cheated and went to the end to find out what finally happened--but I didn't, so don't!

This was a good, fast read. I can't even imagine what this mother went through - she was young, she didn't have family support (but had a great support network of friends and community), and she had meager financial means. Many people would have just given up and wallowed in their despair. She is an incredible woman and I wish her and her daughters well!

A raw, inspiring and TRUE love story of a young mother's desperation and determination to save her two daughters from physical and emotional captivity by their own father. This treasure of a book, stumbled upon in the checkout line of a local bookstore, is my find of the year!

I knew from the beginning her girls were safe and that helped me through the difficult story Lizbeth shared. Stumbling block after stumbling block with those whose job it is to help. So well written I couldn't put it down while I was visiting two of my granddaughters and holding them close.

Mesmerized by this story. I was engaged & carried away from beginning to end. I could see & smell Greece. I cried, I cheered, I laughed it has been a long time since a story touched me so deeply.

This is an amazing book; a pager turner every single page. One minute you are laughing and the other is absolutely an "OMgosh NO" moment. This is such a great read and I would highly recommend this piece of work. Frightening, heartbreaking, funny, and in the end happiness. A must read.

Incredible story. What an amazing strong women Lizbeth Meredith is. I read the book in just a couple of days, I didn't want to put it down. She is an inspiration to other parents who are going through this horrific experience.

Pieces of Me truly grabbed my heart, and I couldn't put it down until I turned the last page. Ms. Meredith's love for her daughters and the anguish of her search for them is palpable. What a terrific story, and what a terrific lady.

This book kept me wanting more, I didn't want to put it down. Very well written, such an inspiring story and Lizbeth did an amazing job giving details so the reader can feel they are right with her during those trying times.
